Here is my "hail mary" pass into the end zone on the Schemitah Year thing..... and yeah, please recognize that I am posting this out of desperation - and not from a position of confidence or power. I would love, Love, LOVE this to be the thing..... But yeah, grasping at straws....... I know....
One last thing I would like to point out is that much of the prophecies found in the birth of our Savior were based on really obscure statements such as Him coming out of the City of David, yet that He was a Nazarene (the two things do not mesh on a casual perusal - yet, were perfectly on and even fed into the prejudices of the day against the people of the city where "no good thing" could come of). Stuff truly that the average casual reader would not really catch on the first reading. So, yes, I TRY to hold off on snap judgments precisely because those usually are the cause of missing the prize - passing over the mundane, instead of seeing what no man knew.....
Anyway, here is my hail mary pass for the year - and I hope I am right for once....:
Is the TRUE SHEMITAH ending October 13th as Fall Feast of Trumpets actually begins? (First New Moon AFTER Fall Equinox)Ok, track with me here for a minute...I am trying to make sense of this as I type but several things have come to my attention, beginning last week that I would like to have a civil discussion about and get input from others on.
First, have a look at this website:

We know our Heavenly Father works in an orderly, mathematical fashion. This is from the link above:
"Anyone wondering why the last (anticipated/Sept. 13th) Shemitah collapse was a non-event may be interested in the following math:
Shemitah collapse #1: September 17, 2001 (Elul 29).
Shemitah collapse #2: September 29, 2008 (Elul 29).
Note: there are exactly 2,570 days separating these two collapses.
What happens if we add 2,570 days to the most recent, 2008, collapse?
We arrive at October 13th, 2015."
Many of us were watching the date of September 13-14 for the First Fall Feast of Trumpets to commence BUT WHY? The Fall equinox wasn't until September 23rd so if fall had not officially begun, why did we think the Lord's Fall Feast Days had begun? Because our calendars told us so?
I know much has been done to our calendars to confuse us. The Western tradition is to add one day to the calendar every 4 years. The Jewish tradition is to add 28 days to the calendar every 70 years. So what are the REAL DATES? The Spring and Fall equinoxes are our only REAL guideline for the start of these feast days so wouldn't that make TODAY, October 13, the last REAL day for the Shemitah to end and the start of the Fall Feast of Trumpets as it is the first New Moon AFTER the Fall Equinox that occurred on September 23rd? Upon the first sighting of the moon after the new moon commences the Feast of Trumpets...that could be today OR tomorrow!
Then there is THIS!!! WOW! Please read for a full understanding of what is happening here!

Help me make sense of this!
"When you see these things begin to take place LOOK UP for your Redemption draws near."Luke 21:28
Jesus died for us to give us LIFE and to give us HOPE, HE AROSE!
If October 13 (tomorrow) at sunset is the start of the Feast of Trumpets then we count 10 days to Yom Kippur. Those 10 days are the "Days of Awe" and would bring us to October 24th as the REAL Yom Kippur, right?
Now check out this video that came to my attention last week. I couldn't make sense of why this man thought October 24th was any day of significance but NOW I'm wondering!...
What is the significance of October 13th, 2015?
Author of Ancient Messianic Festivals, Ken Johnson, writes:
“The easiest way to verify when the REAL festivals and future prophecies will occur is to memorize the dates of the spring and fall equinoxes…. The first new moon following the fall equinox will be… [the Feast of Trumpets].” (p. 12)
The first new moon following the fall equinox in 2015 is October 13th-14th, the date(s) that, according to Johnson, would represent the “real” Feast of Trumpets.
IT GETS EVEN MORE INTERESTING.
The Book of Daniel states:
“From the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven sevens…” (Daniel 9:25 NASB).
What happens if we subtract Daniel’s “seven sevens” (equivalent to 17,640 days) from the October 13th-14th date?
We arrive at June 27th-28th, 1967, the date the Israeli government issued an official “decree” recognizing Jerusalem as the restored capital of Israel.
Summary/bottom line:
There are exactly “sevens sevens” between the (June 27th-28th 1967) decree recognizing Jerusalem’s restoration and what some would consider the “real” Feast of Trumpets in 2015 (October 13th-14th).
Additionally, there are exactly 2,570 days separating the October 13th-14th (Feast of Trumpets) date from the previous shemitah-collapse in 2008 and, likewise, 2,570 days separating the 2008 collapse from the 2001 collapse.
God does arithmetic.
Again, not making predictions, or “setting dates”—just reporting facts."
Here's a great post for you! http://lastdaysigns.blogspot.com/2015/09/shemitah-2015-why-didnt-it-happen-whats.html?m=1
ReplyDelete"What is the significance of October 13th, 2015" - well, it's my son's 8th birthday, and he'll be baptized! That's the significance in our house. ;)
ReplyDeleteAll because no major worldwide event happened on Sept. 13th does not mean something very significant did not happen. Take for instance Joseph Smith receiving the brass plates on feast of the trumpets 1827. Who knew about that except for Joseph and Emma? But is was a very significant date in that the Book of Mormon came forth. I personally believe something happened. I guess when we can see the full pictures of things/the master plan we will really know.
ReplyDeleteOh and it's my kids first time watching Star Wars. Pretty fitting I'd say...
ReplyDeleteMichelle, if you want to know what I look like in my prime, it was Anakin in the days when he was courting Padme on the lake. Episode IV, I think.... Great movies.
ReplyDeleteA few things to add. First, the 2,570 days between the two economic crashes is interesting. Excel calculates it at 2,569 days (it did calculate 2,570 days from 9/29/2008 to 10/13/2015), but that's close enough.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the argument based on the year starting after the fall equinox does not hold true for the date cited in 2001. That year the fall equinox was September 22. In 2001, there was a new moon on September 17, but the first new moon after the fall equinox would have been October 16. So the idea of the Shemittah year starting at a later date would apply to 2001 as well as 2015.
Personally, while I know there are patterns, my thoughts are the Shemitah years are correct, but the Jubilee cycle is off. I won't go into my reasoning and calculations.
What is interesting is that the global equity markets lost $11 trillion in the third quarter. fortune cites it as the worst quarter since 2011
http://fortune.com/2015/10/01/stocks-money-quarter/
Maybe it hasn't been a huge stock market crash, but that's a significant loss.
Another interesting thing to keep an eye on is two recent huge mergers and the banking organizations behind the deals: Dell merging with EMC, and the AB InBev with SABMiller merger. While there are some other financial advisers and bankers, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Deutsche Bank are involved in both deals. I know these corporations are huge and involved with numerous transactions, but I thought it was interesting that these corporations showed up in two huge merger deals that essentially happened a day apart, right at the beginning of a big earnings reporting week. JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs are both listed in this article as financial stocks to watch:
http://www.zacks.com/stock/news/193099/clinton-to-break-up-big-banks-5-financial-stocks-to-watch
And you already mentioned last week's report of Deutsche Bank forecasting a $7 billion dollar loss for the 3rd quarter
http://www.businessinsider.com/ap-deutsche-bank-expects-7-billion-loss-for-3rd-quarter-2015-10
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/08/business/dealbook/deutsche-bank-forecasts-a-loss-of-nearly-7-billion-taking-an-array-of-charges.html
The big economic crash may not happen for a few years, but it could very well be as bad as predicted when it does happen.
