I have heard some things thru my channels that appear to be legit.

We will have the solemn assembly in the Sat afternoon session (two new apostles sustained) and I have heard that there will be some sweet stuff in the Priesthood session.

I get to have some of my family over the Pascal meal and that will be fun.  So much good stuff going on - it will be a win of a weekend....

Please pray for those speaking during the 5 sessions and have a BLESSED and HAPPY Easter!

This needs to go viral:

This is what President Benson warned against.

Folks, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out - and by the time the people finally do, they are staring down the long end of a spear or projectile lobber....:

If you actively undermine an existing tradition by trying to alter the foundation it rests on (the social unit to produce biological offspring) that does count as being "anti".
Gay males are also promiscuous and have multiple sex partners regardless of marital status while lesbians raise children who are mentally ill in larger numbers than any of there parent/child combination.
After studying cultures as diverse as the Babylonians, Greeks, Saxons, and dozens of other groups, Oxford-educated anthropologist J.D. Unwin found a 100% perfect correlation between the practice of heterosexual fidelity and cultural development.
As Unwin wrote, across 5,000 years of history he found absolutely no exception his rule:
"These societies lived in different geographical environments; they belonged to different racial stocks; but the history of their marriage customs is the same. In the beginning each society had the same ideas in regard to sexual regulations. Then the same struggles took place; the same sentiments were expressed; the same changes were made; the same results ensued. Each society reduced its sexual opportunity to a minimum and displaying great social energy, flourished greatly. Then it extended its sexual opportunity; its energy decreased, and faded away. The one outstanding feature of the whole story is its unrelieved monotony."
Without exception, once restrictions on sexuality are lifted, especially female sexuality, a society destroys itself from within, and is later conquered from without. When not focusing mental and physical energy on buliding strong families, members of a culture lose the impetus for upkeep and innovation....
This present generation in the Western world may be the last one. Unwin found that when strict heterosexual monogamy was practiced, the society attained its greatest cultural energy, especially in the arts, sciences and technology. But as people rebelled against the prohibitions placed upon them and demanded more sexual opportunities, there was a consequent loss of their creative energy, which resulted in the decline and eventual destruction of the civilization.

Seems like Communist News Network (aka CNN), is trying to send out a message from their masters over in Beijing....

Pinko pigs.....  But - they are right.  The Chinese have the USA by the short hairs - and they know it.

On the day that they launched the petro-yuan, little Kim ended up in Beijing for the first time since he took power.  Me thinks a trap is being set up.  Trump needs to tread carefully over there....

In this event - we learn how sometimes we are prompted by those on the other side.  I echo what he had to say about the love that is on the other side.  It will consume you.  It is like a golden light that encircles you in warmth.  I have seen what it is like over there - and in that event felt what it is like and I felt the same love on the night that our boy died and I believe he was there inspiring my mind as I slept with the events that I saw that prepared my wife and I for what we were to find a few hours later:

What a Near-Death Experience Taught My Husband About the Other Side
By Jozet Richardson Hulley · February 8, 2018
The following is excerpted from ‘The Message From Our Side.’
“To a worm in horseradish, the world is horseradish.”*
I was that worm until my husband spent six weeks in a coma, came back, and showed us life after horseradish.
When my husband finally and miraculously woke up from the coma he had been in for six long and terrifying weeks, we were ecstatic, but still not sure if he would make it. His body had been near death for so long. We hoped and prayed with all our might that this unexpected ability of his to become conscious was not just a momentous last effort to say good bye before he left us for good. His lungs were still dangerously filled with fluid, his body overcome with staph and MRSA infections – both very often lethal. His skin was completely covered with boils and blisters – a bad reaction to the powerful antibiotics that were absolutely necessary for the slight possibility of his survival, and he was so weakened from his lengthy ‘medically frozen state,’ he had lost almost every bit of his muscle fiber.
He couldn’t even lift his arm enough to scratch his own nose. If he did survive, we were told it would take about a year of rehab and physical therapy to retrain his muscles to perform their proper functions, walk out of the hospital and come home. Because of the tracheostomy in his neck, he could not speak. As a family, we gathered around him, every inch of us covered by masks, gloves, and sterile gowns; tears streaming through our masks as we marveled at how much we loved him, so thankful for the amazing miracle that he was still alive and could simply open his eyes and look at us! We were filled with overwhelming desire to do anything possible to help him recover and to escape the horrible, constant pain and the continual terrifying struggle for every breath.
Lance seemed to be filled with an overwhelming need for something, too. He mouthed the same three words to us with urgency, over and over again. His eyes showed his great desire for us to understand. But for what seemed like an eternity, he was not strong enough to move his arms and hands enough to write, and because of the tracheostomy, speech was impossible. We all made futile attempts to guess what his passionately mouthed words could possibly mean.
The look on his face was so compelling, we worried that he was about to die of some small problem that our inept lip reading skills just could not grasp. “Is your mouth dry? Do you need ice chips?” (His digestive system wasn’t working yet, so ice chips was the only item on the menu.) “Do you want us to roll you over?”, “Need a bedpan?”, “Is the ventilator giving you enough oxygen?”, “Need more pain medication?”, or simply, “Are you itching somewhere?”
Every time, our efforts to understand were met with a frustrated shake of the head, meaning “no.” However, since he seemed to only direct these same three words to his family and not the medical staff, we decided that whatever he wanted to tell us must not be life-threatening. After awhile, he stopped trying. We looked forward to the moment when the doctors would finally remove his tracheostomy, allowing the most amazing gift of speech.
“I’VE BEEN THERE! I’VE BEEN THERE!” was what he was trying to say.
“Been where? What are you talking about?”
“I’ve been to heaven! I know what it’s like!” And although his long struggle to overcome Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome had left him continually fighting to get enough oxygen, all he wanted to do was talk. He was so excited, he could not stop talking. He raved on and on with labored breaths about what an incredibly different feeling he enjoyed in the next life.
It almost seemed as if he hadn’t even noticed how very ragged his breathing was! He told us how amazing it was there—an almost incomprehensible world so full of peace and joy that words cannot even describe it. Not even the slightest bit of selfishness, pride, jealousy, comparing yourself with others, holding grudges, or any negative feelings at all—just happiness and love! “Oh, Jozet, it was the most powerful, wonderful feeling I have ever felt. I would do anything…anything, to have that peace again.”
Here are just a couple of the stories he shared with us that he experienced while in the next life. I know they are true because I know Lance Richardson. I’ll let him describe what he experienced in his own words. This first story happened with his grandfather on his dad’s side, who helped show him how things work in the next life, and who had died many years previous.
“Grandpa hugged me, then smiled and said, ‘Lance, your dad needs to give you a blessing today and he needs to catch an airplane. Come with me.’
He took me by the hand and we began to step into the sky, as if we were flying. Everything went foggy around us, then instantly we were standing in an airport terminal. I watched as my grandfather went to a computer monitor and put his finger on the screen. Whether he was reading the information or changing it, I do not know. Then he said, ‘OK, Lance, let’s go.’ He once again took my hand and we began to rise into the air, our vision clouded.
Suddenly we were standing on the floor of the Idaho State Senate. As Dad is a state senator and they were in session, my father was present in this large room. I looked to my right and saw my father sitting in his chair next to his seatmate. He had his legs crossed and arms folded, a studious look on his face. He was engrossed in a debate that was taking place at that moment on the Senate floor. We watched my father as he fulfilled his role as Senator.
As I beheld my grandfather observing his son, my father, who was carefully considering the impact a new regulation would have upon the people, I could see the pride in his eyes. I could see the love he had for my father. I had not noted the resemblance between them until then, but I was moved with a knowledge of how my grandfather was so much a part of my father, as he was also a part of me. Some of his characteristics had been carried on in each of us, and he watched with pride as his son worked.
A wonderful thing happened as we observed my father. I watched my grandfather walk up to my dad and lean to his ear and say, ‘Mel, you need to give Lance a blessing today, and you have to catch an airplane in twenty minutes.’
I watched as my father suddenly reacted with a start, and looked at his watch.
‘Oh, boy!’ he exclaimed. ‘I forgot! I am supposed to be catching an airplane in twenty minutes!’ He turned to someone standing there and told them that he had to leave immediately. I looked at a clock on the wall. It was 1:30 p.m.
We followed my father as he gathered his things, headed across the capitol building, crossed the parking lot to his car, and drove to the Boise airport. I saw every road he turned on, watched him park in long-term parking, catch a shuttle to the terminal, and witnessed him cross the tarmac to the plane.
Grandpa smiled at me. ‘Let’s go, son. You will be fine now.’
We headed back into the Spirit World. Along the way, however, my mind was spinning. What I had witnessed was a most amazing thing. My father had clearly heard my grandfather’s promptings and instantly reacted. He had not known his father was speaking to him, nor even that the inspiration came from God. But it had. Now I wondered how many times I had been inspired by unseen ministering servants of God, sent to assist me? How many times had I thought I suddenly had a most important idea and assumed I was the one with such great intellect? I was sobered by the thought.
The experience was a great example of what I had been taught concerning how our deceased loved ones serve and assist us. Never again will I doubt the influence of God in even the smallest of matters in my life. He is listening, and His servants are indeed being sent to help us.”
Why was it so important that Lance have a blessing on that particular day? I’ll let him answer that question with another excerpt from his book, “The Message.” This part of the story happened a few weeks after he woke up from the coma.
“My mother and father visited me not long after I had started speaking again, and commented how great it was to hear my voice. We laughed and talked together, each still masked so that I would not transmit my terrible infection.
Then my mother said to me, ‘Lance, your father gave you a special blessing while you were in your coma and things were at their worst. It probably saved your life.’
‘You gave me a blessing Dad?’ I said.
‘Yes, I did,’ Dad answered. ‘I was over in Boise…’
With the mention of the word Boise, my memory of the experience with Grandpa and my dad flooded into my mind.
‘I was there!’ I exclaimed, full of excitement to share what had occurred.
‘No, I was over in Boise…,’ Dad corrected me.
‘I know you were, Dad. And I was there with you!’
He looked at me with a strange expression. ‘What do you mean?’
‘Dad, I was there along with your father!’
Dad’s eyes became wider and a look of puzzlement filled his face. ‘My father? What do you mean?’
I began sharing the story of how Grandpa had taken me by the hand and we had gone to visit my dad. I stepped through the experience point by point and told him what I had seen him doing. I told Dad where he was sitting and who was sitting next to him, and repeated the things Dad said to him as he left.
Periodically Dad would say, ‘Yes, that’s exactly right! And then what did I do?’
I added the next details, then watched his face as he agreed each point was exactly right. I completed the story by telling him what I saw as we watched him board the plane.
His jaw had dropped a bit, and his expression was one of amazement. ‘You could not have known that had you not been there. That is precisely what took place.’
Dad and Mom looked at one another with awe. What I had shared with them was indeed what had occurred, and the only way I could have known it was to have been there.
‘You know, it was absolutely miraculous,’ Dad began to explain. ‘You cannot do all the things I had to do to get ready and drive from the capitol to the airport in twenty minutes. It can’t be done. The drive itself normally takes twenty-five minutes!’
‘I know,’ I said. ‘But Grandpa was helping you.’
Dad then shared with me another miraculous part of the story. He had flown home each Friday evening on the 5:20 p.m. flight. Mom would leave me at the hospital to pick him up at the airport, and they would drive to the hospital to see how I was doing.
Dad would call and schedule his flights for several weeks at a time. When he called to schedule this flight and a few others, he was informed that the only seat available on that particular Friday would be on the 1:50 flight. Every other Friday had openings on the 5:20. Having no other choice, he scheduled himself to fly on the 1:50 flight, but was hoping to be able to rearrange this later, as he would not be finished with his Senatorial work for the week by the time the flight left.
Unfortunately, Dad forgot about all of this until that very Friday when Grandpa and I visited him. Now I understood perfectly why Grandpa had needed to prompt Dad to leave when he did. Particularly in light of the blessing I received later that day under my father’s hand.
‘I’ll bet you had some help forgetting to change that flight, Dad!’ I said.
‘You must be right,’ he agreed.
There was another miracle taking place as far as my mother was concerned. She had been sitting with me in the hospital that particular day. Things with my health were at their worst. One of my doctors had just called my mother into the hall to inform her that there didn’t seem to be anything else they could do for me. They could see they were losing ground. It appeared I was dying, and they were not sure I would survive through the afternoon.
Mom was distraught. My family had begun to fear the worst, and Mom was not sure she could handle such news. At that moment, when things looked bleakest, Dad, who had caught a ride with another legislator from the airport to the hospital, began to walk down the hall toward my mother and the doctor. Mom knew Dad should not be home until after 6:30 that evening. To her it was an absolute miracle to have him arrive there at such an important moment.
She cried as they talked to the doctor. She turned to my father and told him, ‘You need to give Lance another blessing.’ Dad responded that he knew it was what he was supposed to do.
Dad went home and prayed desperately for God to give him inspiration as to what he should do and say. He shared with us that he felt the words come into his mind that he was to say in the blessing. He said that this was perhaps the only time in his life he had ever felt God inspire him with specific words to say in a blessing. But for some reason it was important at that time.
Dad came back to the hospital, along with my brother Mark, my wife, and my mother. Mark and Dad placed their hands on my head and Dad, in the name of Jesus Christ, pronounced the words of prayer and blessing which had been given to him. He blessed my specific organs to heal much quicker than would normally be possible. From that point onward, I began to heal. Most certainly, the blessing had significant impact. I now knew why it was so important that Grandpa and I went to help my father catch that plane and give that blessing.
As we finished sharing our thoughts concerning the experience with one another, the Spirit burned again inside of us. It was that sure witness which I had learned testifies of all truth. And indeed, this was truth. Each of us knew it, and we knew that God knew it as well.
This entire experience was most remarkable. We all knew that there was no way I could have known these particular details and facts, had I not been present. It became a physical evidence of the truth of my journey to the other side.
Somehow it is not too hard for me to imagine my Grandfather standing next to my dad to inspire him with the very words that needed to be said to bless me with life again. I do not know it is so, but from what I have witnessed, I can never doubt the possibility of such things again.”
Lance told us so many heart-warming stories about how our deceased loved ones guide and help us when he came out of his coma, we became much more astute at recognizing his angelic fingerprints after his death. I believe that all of our lives are touched by our guardian angels many times more than we ever realize. It was such a blessing that the children and I had our own “guardian angel recognition training course” during those five years before he died. I hope that by reading about our experiences, the angelic fingerprints from your deceased loved ones will become more visible, also.
Toward the end of his coma, Lance began worrying about the children and I. He knew we must be terribly distraught, wondering if he would live or die. As a result, mercifully, he was allowed to come and check on us. At the time this happened, I had only a vague and unsure awareness of his presence. Here’s what occurred, again, in Lance’s words:
“My cousin, Randy (who had died almost 20 years previous of leukemia) escorted me to where my wife was, and then told me he would be back in a minute. My wife was driving our Suburban into town at the time. I was able to literally sit down in the passenger seat next to her. The radio was on and she was singing along with it. It happened to be a song called, ‘God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You.’ She was crying as she sang. There was no doubt of whom she was thinking at that moment.
I watched her momentarily and kind of chuckled to think I was sitting there watching her singing. But the song and her tears touched me deeply. As she wiped them from her cheeks, I began to feel emotional, as well. I began to cry.
‘Jozet, dear. I love you. I am coming back. They have promised me now that I get to come back.’ I watched for any reaction from her that might tell me she was feeling my presence or hearing my words in her mind.
‘I am really coming back, dear, I really am. Just hold on a while longer.’ Then she turned and looked my direction. I could not tell at that moment if she knew I was there, but she seemed as if she had felt something.
I watched her look around, as if to see if someone was there.
‘Honey, I’m here. I’m right here. I will be back soon, and then I will never leave your side.’
Yes, God was ‘spending a little more time on me.’”
After Lance’s lengthy coma and near-death experience, we enjoyed five precious years together before his unexpected death. During this time, he shared story after story of how wonderfully different it is to live completely for others. We tried to incorporate this new way to think and to live into our family, and found greater happiness than we had ever experienced, by far.
I have not seen the next life. But because of what Lance went through, I have tasted and felt it. I will never be the same.
We’ve all wasted too much of life comparing who has the biggest and best houses, cars, and the most followers. Who really cares anyway?
All I want now is what’s beyond horseradish.

I find the spelling of Elder Christ offer son's last name.

I really like him.  Behind Elder Oaks and Holland, he is my favorite.  I feel he will have a significant role along with Elder Bednar in events in these last days.

This is a great speech - and a prototype in explaining our beliefs to those not of our faith:

Great listening while doing chores, etc.  In this speech, you will find out which famous President checked out the Book of Mormon from the Library of Congress.  That raised my eye-brows considering this President's actions at the time.

Orson Hyde was sent by Joseph Smith to dedicate the Holy Land for the return of the Jews.

He was the first Jewish Apostle in this dispensation.  I had a Stake President that happened to show up at Dallin's funeral who was named Hyde (also a descendant of Judah, I believe).  We had no idea he would be there on a Monday morning - when he asked to speak as part of the service.  He delivered a fine sermon and I believe it was the best part of the service in tying to bring more to Christ.  He is also of Judah, like Orson Hyde.  He was a convert to the Church, like Orson Hyde was.

This relationship is key in the last day events.  It was no accident that Orson Hyde came into the Church - and then was sent to dedicate the Holy Land.

It likely is no coincidence that Elder Holland was the keynote speaker at this event that may well have had a major impact on Joseph Leiberman  (he said he wanted to obtain a copy of the Book of Mormon).

Here is Elder Holland's address at the Jerusalem Center:

This is a fascinating discourse where he gives Joseph Leiberman the key of knowledge where-in he tells Senator Leiberman that Elijah HAS already returned.  He also speaks of the return of the Ten Tribes - and how it will eclipse the original gathering out of the 12 Tribes from Egypt.

This is a seminal event - a watershed moment of what is coming.  God bless Elder Holland and those who are pushing this agenda forward.  It is God's agenda.

This is just one more nail in that proverbial coffin:

Update: RIA Novosti reports an unnamed foreign ministry official protested the decision by EU, NATO nations to expel envoys, and  confirmed that Russia will respond to each country expelling diplomats, warning that the "expulsions won't go unanswered."
“Unfriendly” action won’t be left unanswered.
U.K.’s allies are “blindly following” principle of Euro-Atlantic unity at the expense of common sense.

Additionally, Russia's ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, said that, with regard to the US response, "US only understand force."
"I mentioned in my statement in the State Department that I consider these actions counterproductive," Antonov said.
"I said that the United States took a very bad step by cutting what very little still remains in terms of Russian-American relations."

Man, if something smells like a pig - and oinks like a pig - it probably is a hogg.....

I don't know about the smell of pork - but this sure smells fishy.....

I would love to walk these tunnels.  There is a rising debate as to where the original temple was located.  I do not buy the arguments that it was anywhere othr than where the Dome of the Rock is now located.

There is a little evidence to support the other theory - but my "slickster" vibe goes off when listening to the purveyors of the load of lies the other "used car salesman" is pushing.....

Well this is interesting along with the Chinese space station possibly coming down on the West Coast (Oregon/California):

This because, the BIG crash could be Monday,
1. petro-yuan monday 26th
2. according to bible prophecy the 10th day in the 7th month of the year after the end of the first year after the 50 year jubilee cycle (RESET, debt to zero) is ...
on monday 26th of march 2018
Also next week is passover, easter (friday and monday closed markets) ideal for a closure of markets - reset.
Lots of prophecies in the last days state, the EVENT is imminent!

The Hopi prophecies talk of the Skylab coming down in the 1970's.  The blue kachina is likely the reference to this incoming object:

The end time events follow this in quick succession......

The final sign[edit]

The ninth and final sign of destruction is described by White Feather as, "You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.".[citation needed] This idea of the Blue Star Kachina marking the end of all Hopi rituals is reflected in Waters' book, Book of the Hopi, in which he states, "The end of all Hopi ceremonialism will come when a kachina removes his mask during a dance in the plaza before uninitiated children.[5]" This absence of Hopi ceremonialism will coincide with the destruction of the Fourth World. Waters suggested that World War III will begin and the United States will be ripped apart by war, leaving only the Hopis and their homeland intact. The war of the end of the world is described by Waters as "a spiritual conflict with material matters [5]".
According to Hopi prophecy (as reported by Waters), shortly after the Blue Star Kachina is visible to all and the Day of Purification is realized, the True White Brother will come to earth in search of Hopi "who steadfastly adhere to their ancient teachings."[6] It is said that if the True White Brother fails in his mission and is unable to find uncorrupted men and women, that the earth will be completely destroyed and none will be spared.[6]However, if successful in bringing the symbols and finding those who still follow the true Hopi way of life, the world will be created anew and all the faithful will be saved from destruction.

This is really cool stuff.  I like people who are brave enough to speak out on stuff that can get them labeled as crazy:

She is one of the most graceful and beautiful women that has graced this planet.

I have always been fascinated with the term "just men made holy".

Looking at it, there appears to be two different pieces to that term.  A just man - who has gotten to this point in their development; who then undergoes another process to become holy.

To simplify what I believe it is, I think it comes down to a man or woman who has been "justified by the law" (justification) and then who becomes holy (through the process of sanctification).

I hope to become justified one day.

Here are some of the characteristics of a justified man or woman:

  • They do NOT fear what man can do to them.  They are not worldly and so those things cannot be leveraged against them.  Things like, "You will lose your job unless you submit to _____ (sin)".  They do not place importance on worldly things like a house or mortgage or on position in or out of the Church.  When no one can get their claws into you to alter your behavior, the adversary loses the greatest leverage that he has over the average mortal.
  • They exercise only RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT.  This judgment is God's type of judgment (perfect and only utilized under the gift of discernment).   This is NOT Final Judgment.  That is reserved for Father only at the end.  There is no pride or self-interest involved.  Only the glory of God.
  • A justified man or woman is always fair and equitable - even if something is not in their favor.  Usually, they will always take the short end of the deal.  Abraham and Lot and the land division is the best case that I can think of.  The downside to this, is that if a person willfully takes advantage of another person who is just - the penalties can be stark.  I was building the first phase of our home in Kalispell.  It was to be a large home and the foundations were in the four car garage and the entry way that was about 28 feet to the tip of the gable.  During a two week break, I was able to get the first floor framed and the second level floor in.  I did not want it to sit that way all winter and deteriorate, so I got a fellow in that approached me on the last day of my stay there.  I asked him for a quote.  He said he only did by the hour jobs.  I told him the Dallin story - told him that I live a Consecrated existence and that he must be equitable with me.  If he was not in any way, he would pay for any greed in ten-fold.  I left him to it all summer - and I could never get ahold of him for the updates and interrim billing, etc.  I just wanted to know where he was at - so I could project cost, etc.  Finally, at my insistence, he handed me the bill right as the snow was coming on - and it was not even completely dried in.  As you can guess, it was between $5-6,000 over what two other bids had come in at.  I disputed the bill and he became downright vicious and threatening.  He then lawyered up and brought a lien against the house and attempted to legally steal the property out from under me.  I think this was his plan all along - it was likely one of the best view properties in the valley according to the cement truck driver, the spray foam insulator and just about everyone else that came to do work on it.  I told him that I could not pay it - that this money that would be required was slated to pay tithing for the second half of the year.  I would have to choose between him and the Lord.  I told him he was in grave danger of catastrophe.  Well, he had one daughter (he was sterile and his wife wanted a child, so she cheated with his best friend who apparently was not sterile....) who was 11 years old.  He was on a beach vacationing (hopefully not on that money....) and a recent storm had created a "cliff of sand" that she was playing under.  It apparently collapsed on her covering her completely and almost smothering her.  It ended up collapsing a lung and breaking her pelvis and femur in several locations.  They barely were able to save her - digging her out by hand.  The nearest hospital that could take care of those injuries was a $45,000 helicopter ride away (none of that covered under his wife's insurance plan).  Along with the co-pays for the surgeries and the weeks in a body cast, I think the Lord extracted the ten-fold penalty from him.  I usually try and warn people to try and be equitable with anyone who has given themselves to a Consecrated lifestyle.  It simply is not worth it to go down that road - for they are fighting with and stealing from the Lord.  It does have a happy ending, though.  This beautiful little girl was able to make a full recovery and around the end of November of that year, my wife received a surprise inheritance from an aunt that was more than sufficient to cover the losses we took on what was extorted from us.  ALWAYS be fair and equitable.  My best man and former best friend was consumed largely by the love of money, and I have had to leave him to himself.  Sadly, I always say that he would sell his own mother if he thought he could make a buck.  Greed is a deadly thing to the soul.  All we need is sufficient for our needs - and no more.  God will provide when we trust.
  • A justified man knows the will of God - and does that only.  He is not sin-free, but will usually quickly feel remorse and attempt to repent as quickly as possible.  A justified man/woman are usually stripped of pride.
  • A justified man is being prepared to be a holy man - that usually comes by way of an Abrahamic test.  One that we all must pass thru in order to quality for Celestial glory.
I talk of Bishop John Koyle being a just man.  The stories surrounding him are rife with proof of that.

In the book that I posted earlier in the blog - there is a brief reference in there that he was summoned to SLC for his Second Anointing.  That would be a crowning achievement of a Just man.  Even though he was ex'd a few short years later, he was post-humously re-instated a few years later with full blessings.  He likely had some help with that once he was on the other side.

Years ago, I used to sound like I was completely out of my mind when I said we would descend into a state of chaos and civil war.

I happen to think we may just be a matter of years out on this event coming to pass.  Especially with this whole manufactured event that has been trying to take the arms away from the people.  Most simply will not stand for it and there will be widespread chaos and bloodshed over it.

Along with the Sols Guardisto prophecy (stamped as good already by the Prophet of the day), this also portends a time when this will be the case (economic collapse, manufacturing ceases, lack of government).  I think it also dovetails nicely with the Esdra's Eagle prophecy (with the last two conservative presidents with abbreviated tenures - and then nothing afterwards):
One time in about 1946 an attorney who was quite interested in the Mine, and sometimes he attended the Thursday night meetings, said to the Bishop, "How are you going to stop the Government from taking about 94% of the gold away from you?" The Bishop said, "Turney, there ain't goin' to be no Government when the Mine comes in!"
[197] One time in about 1940 or before: when the Mine comes in, there would be a light on top of the Dream Mine Mountain. In about 1960 the telephone company placed that light up there.
One time in probably the middle thirties a Stake President in Salem, Utah, had been pretty hard on the Bishop when he had an opportunity to do so; he had all of his barns, stock and machinery burn up in one night; while his ten acres of peas, which he had been given instruction to harvest in the next day or two, were laid flat on the ground by a terrific hail storm. His neighbor's peas across the fence were not even touched. "A good aim!" This Stake President said, "I must have done something displeasing to the Lord." Some day it is to be hoped he will repent.
Bishop saw that after the Mine came in, that all the churches and schools would be closed down for a while. He saw this in about 1930.

The Church likely will have all the assets seized over the unwillingness to bend to the whole "gay marriage" crock - and possibly the Brethren taking on the establishment that has successfully killed or punked Trump (and maybe Pence).  At that time, either way, it will be a complete and all out war on Conservatives.  The Catholic Church - having fallen completely over the whole "pedophile priests" thing, will be neutralized completely and the Church likely will be a lightning rod for the conservative movement.

There will be about 100,000 troops in the State of Utah to try to enforce something on us (choose wrong - or die).  This may be their last official act as the Lord makes a clearing move and wipes them out.

Let me be clear here.  The story in yellow above was due to a man unjustly taking on another "just man" and getting punked by the Lord over it.  My next piece will address this topic.

Wow - this is bloody awesome!

May God bless Trump!  I am afraid he is guilty, as charged with these sleazy women.  It is not a crime - but they will try to use it against him to get him thrown out of office.  The same folks who wanted to give Clinton a free pass for the same thing....  Clinton was not in trouble until he perjured himself.

Before I paste this into this post, I have to say that Donald J. Trump is NOT a Republican.  He is an Independent who ran on the Republican platform.  He pays no royalties to the RNC as all elephants are supposed to do.  He is just smarter than most - and outgamed them at their own sport:

Koyle foresaw the Republican victory of 1928 but stated that the man riding the donkey would win in 1932 and continue to win, establishing an unprecedented record of successive victories at the pools. During this time the elephant would become sick and unable to regain its feet. One attempt after another would be made until eventually, after many years, the elephant would rise to its feet and remain on them for a number of years, but would then go down and the country with it. There would then follow an unprecedented period of war, confusion, turmoil, and national disaster.(2)

This is great stuff:

Folks, I love the last point on this.  If you want to attain a goal, you have to picture it each and every time you are pondering on the matter:

I would buy a few of those to help support the effort!

MIGA/MAGA - Making Israel and America Great Again!

I have said that we must be closer than we realize.

As part of that "closeness factor", we will need to see the Dream Mine come in.

I love this book by Ogden Kraut.  It is the best info we have on the matter:

I have been wanting to write this piece for quite some time now as I have seen several troubling incidents come into my view.

I stand for the truth.  I do not really care where it takes me or what the consequence may be.  I have seen too much to know that the Lord has my back.  There are some who have erroneously - but understandably - come to the conclusion that Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ/John the Baptist and even Abinadi have stood up for the truth and have gotten thrown under the bus in the greatest way possible for their efforts.  I will knock that notion down right here - in that they had to die to seal their testimony, as testators of a new covenant (or, in other words - they brought in a new era or way of thinking that required their blood in order to more fully condemn those whose false or twisted words they were combatting).  See Hebrews 9: 16-17

I enjoy the luxury of being in a position where I can anonymously say what needs to be said in no position of authority - and I can mostly get away with it with little or no repercussion.  I have little to nothing to lose - and the satisfaction factor is VERY high.  There needs to be millions of people like me.  People who just don't give a damn about social cost - who are willing to just lay it down as it really is.  I have always done it - and the results have been stunning.  Once you get the feel that God will back you no matter what - then the more bold the stance.  When evil knows you will stand firm and stand up to it (just as President Trump has done), then the tide of evil turns.  It starts with you and I.  We are the groundswell; the grass-roots in the (seen and unseen) battle on this telestial orb.  God would that we were either hot or cold; He can do little with someone who is luke-warm as it states in Revelations.

I have one guiding principle - and that is a nearly unshakable faith that God will sustain me and that the consequences will work to my good and to the glory of God's kingdom.

I have shared my story from the Boeing days when Romney was running for President.  As a "Moron" in a very liberal group of folks in the 777 Systems and Installation Support Cell, I was catching all kinds of heat.  There was the liberal "free love" former hippy who was point man on the group with about 10 other Millennials who made the bad decision to challenge me on the Law of Chastity.  After listening to the diatribe about the "hook-up" culture and FWB (friends with benefits - which means just casually sleeping around with one person with no commitment) culture that my younger associates were pushing, I decided to stand my ground on the Law of Chastity.  In the end, after a pretty hostile exchange (yes, people can get quite charged when you challenge them on whether it is their right to be able to have an "endorphin release" with whomever they want - because this is tantamount, from a physiological standpoint, to taking the coke from the cokehead), Gene the hippy-dude let me have it, screaming and profaning God with f-bombs and the whole nine yards in our cube farm.  It was unprofessional as I simply was defending myself and my beliefs - that are NOT my own.  Gene was literally foaming at the mouth as I received my scathing rebuke for my "ignorance" and stupidity for believing in this mythical "sky god".  That was a tough thing to have to take.  In light of what I was going thru at the time, due to my wife's health situation, it was kind of about the last straw for me.

I got down on my knees after everyone had left for the day and asked that the Lord "stay his tongue" because I was at the end of my rope with the hostility towards my beliefs and my faith.  That was a Friday evening.  Monday morning came and Gene was there early as usual.  When I rolled in, all Gene could do was croak at a whisper level.  He was training the 'newbies' as part of a pre-retirement knowledge transfer exercise.  Instructions were given on a large post-it from then on out until a day before he retired when he went in to have it checked out.  I never had to listen to him above a whisper for the rest of that time with him.  At the appointment, he was immediately diagnosed with throat cancer and was sent immediately to the Fred Hutchinson cancer center in Seattle.  He succombed to throat cancer 13 months later.  I have to interject here that throat cancer really only comes about in one of three ways.  Due to a viral load - mostly associated with cancer from oral sex with multiple partners who have the Human Papiloma Virus on their soft parts, from a lack of selenium in the diet (there are only a few clusters related to this found world-wide - biggest being in India) and also from smoking; Gene was not a smoker and there are no clusters of this due to low selenium in our diets in the USA - that I am aware of.  Sooooo..... how ironic would it be that he happened to get the most common cancer found among "free-love" players.....).  You might say it simply was a cancer of "bad Genes"....  I just consider it bloody ironic - now that I think of it.

I stayed in touch with him after he left the company on a medical leave and urged him to allow the guys in white shirts into his home (that he had openly bragged about humiliating on his doorstep, when he still had a voice).  I promised him that if he entreated them and the message that they had, they had the keys to help to make him whole again.  As far as I know, he never did, choosing to rely on the arm of flesh (with chemo treatments) - which happened to let him down as he slid further and further under the bus he had attempted to throw God under.....

I will not go into detail further, other than to say that there were two other people who did the same during my career there at Boeing who ended up in a very bad way (there was death involved in both cases and extreme sorrow).  Both additional cases involved me being humiliated for being open about my beliefs, and me asking simply for respite from that.  Usually, it involved asking the Lord to judge between me and the actions of these people and to let the chips fall where they may (in favor of them, or in favor of me).  The results in each case were stunning.  I am a fallen and imperfect man.  I have to wonder what God would do for a man who is fully just and holy (a subject of another blog piece).

I am a home teacher to a "just man" who is from Africa.  His story of how he came to be here is stunning.  He is a miracle man. There are many who are being gathered here (to Cardston) that will largely be able to avoid the heartache that countless others will have to endure on the purifying journey as they come off the West Coast and from other areas.  It will be difficult beyond imagination, for a reason.  We must all be completely stripped of our pride (including myself and my family) until we are ready to receive and be in the presence of the Savior.  There were some unfortunate circumstances which led to this man's family being persecuted (older children no longer come to church).  The family was unrighteously judged for the action of one member of that family.  I sorrowed for him and his family and asked the Lord to judge between his family and those who had judged him and to give the family relief so that they could feel good about fully supping at the Lord's table.  God has and will judge for them.  God will have a Zion people, stripped of pride and who judge only righteous judgment.  We can either choose to be humble - or we can compelled to be humble.  It really is our choice - or we can choose to de-select ourselves on a Millennial scope of things.

We have several litmus tests that can be used in the judging of righteous judgment.  First, when talking to a person, do they throw the Savior under the bus?  The people of His day did - and they paid a horrific price.  Josephus writes that they had resorted to cannibalizing their own progeny in order to survive shortly before they were wiped nearly clean by the Romans.  Ironic, in that they rejected the "Bread of Life" in that they were invited to symbolically take and break in remembrance of the body that was broken and the flesh that was given up on the cross, and they were, out of desperation, driven to take and break the literal flesh of their own.  What a sad and filthy contrast.....  How the outcome would have been different with the opposite scenario playing out.  They would have had the very King of Heaven as their guide and nothing could have stopped that Kingdom - but it was not to be.

Amongst the Saints here in Cardston, it is largely implied that we believe in Jesus and The Book of Mormon, etc.  Another litmus that I use to develop a feel for where a person is at, is  and the vision of Sols GuardistoVisions of Glory.  I feel that these two pieces of writing were written for us.  My daughter recently went in to receive her PB.  The Patriarch is a good man.  I can tell that.  I shared with him our "Dallin story" prior to the blessing and then afterwards, shared with him some more thoughts and asked him about his feelings on Visions of Glory.  He had read it - but said he did not have a favorable view of it.  Not a caustic view of it - just not favorable.  When I told him that it will happen just as written, he back-pedaled a bit - but I did not want to punk the Spirit that was there and we politely brought the conversation to an end and we left his home.  I had borne my witness of things to come - to one who has those keys to pronounce the same - and my job was done.

About six weeks ago, I had the chance to randomly run into my daughter's Seminary teacher at a basketball tournament.  Before the game started, I was sitting there with my daughter in an area outside the gym where it was quiet and I proceeded to tell him the "Dallin story" and other events.  For the most part, he was polite (what do you tell a person who shares such a story? - "Sorry, sir - you are deluded and full of hu-hu?").  Then for the ultimate litmus - "Have you read Visions of Glory?".  "What do you think of it?".  His first statement was that he did not think it was inspired.  And that he could NOT believe it as an official emissary of the Church - Seminary teacher.  I then clarified - and said that I did not expect him to teach it across the pulpit nor to my children - but what did he think of it personally?  The same thing.  His defense was that he had read the FAIR assessment of VoG  (click the hyper-link to read that Pharisaical assessment) and that was all that he needed to know.   I sat there kind of speechless - he had let that useless group of intellectual Pharisees guide his thinking????????  Just wow.  I officially became a little concerned for my daughter's spiritual well-being as his student.  Just what else had he rejected?  Modern miracles?  True power in the Priesthood?  Because of our unbelief, we are living WELL below our means.  Myself included, at times.

The game was about to start and we moved towards the gym.  I told him that we would have to have his large family over for dinner so we could chat more.  I told him that I could help straighten him out on the "Spencer question" at that time.  I kind of punked him - but I was a little incensed at the ignorance and mild arrogance I had seen.  I expected more of him.  I had heard great things about him.

We did invite him over the other night, and it did not go well.  It was kind of an ambush, but he and his wife were having none of what we were serving on the menu.  Sadly, they have judged and they will have to go through some learning and possibly sorrows on that account (only God knows their true hearts).  The elect are usually not blinded by their professions, their status in life and much else, and hear the call to truth and do not throw it under the bus - as the socially and powerfully connected priestly class did in Jesus' or Abinadi's day.  I have experienced the same reaction from all of those who are in official Church capacities in the Cardston area.  From Stake Presidents to regional Seminary coordinators to ranking temple workers.  Those in positions of power have summarily thrown Spencer under the bus.  Those in lesser stations, only whisper approval in hushed tones.  On the flip side of that, there are many who have been in positions of leadership, who hold an opposite view.

My concern is this:  we are supposed to be a place of refuge and ready for the influx.  If we are busy rejecting things as they will be, then we will NOT be ready.  When my wife and I were discussing this (at times, she has been mildly annoyed with my preps and obsession on the matter), she asked me why I did not throttle back a bit and let "the Elders of Israel" handle this.  I said, "I AM the Elders of Israel!".  I feel that if I do not show a little backbone and leadership (at least plant some seeds or sprinkle some phosphates around - then the ground will be simply sterile when the time comes.

When it becomes painfully clear that he was right (by force of circumstance), or the official word is disseminated from SLC - then people will suddenly change their tune.  But not til then.  Even with the official statement from SLC, that the Mrs. Sols Guardisto vision is all good, few believe it nor accept it.  As someone who knows how well that first temple President, Edward James Wood is revered in this area (who embraced the Sols vision and forwarded it to the Prophet of the day for review), this is shocking to me.  How easily the people forget.

Thus my assessment, without a mighty change of heart, less focus on materialism and so much else, that the purge will be equal here in Cardston to anywhere else - before the lesser remnant are allowed to turn it into a hallowed gathering spot.  The purge will begin in the Lord's house first.  Then it will go forward from there.

So, yet one more time, I put out a generic warning that there are "just men" and "just men made holy" among us and I always give this warning to people when it concerns these two classifications of men and women:  "it is not they who are being judged in the balance, it is you!".  I said the same thing to my wife years ago, when she chose to side with the feminist wenches who threw Joseph Smith under the bus with the rest of the foulest of the eternities.  I warned her that she would pass through a sort of furnace of affliction until she saw things as they truly are.  And she has.  We have, jointly.  It has been excruciating - and I am not sure if that is strong enough of a word.  I understand the metaphor of the winepress.  It is crushing in all senses of the word.

When we throw those who are just and holy under the bus - the outcome is not good.  YET, God has spoken through unlikely channels that the Saints WILL be ready here.  If the official priestly class is resistant and even hostile to what is coming - then who will lead the official charge forward?  Things must be done in wisdom and in order.  As Joseph said, it is the Lord's economy to send out personal revelation to many so that they will be ready to receive the truth when it is disbursed through official channels (happened with polygamy) - but only those with keys have the ability and stewardship to move forward with the "program".

Until then it is a waiting game.  For now, it is comforting to know that those at the top, in positions of power and who hold the keys, know the program and that it is just a matter of patience and time until it is laid out and revealed.

This is a great story that I was given permission to share by someone on a FB group that I am a part of:

Two weeks ago tomorrow my 17 year old daughter had a very horrible experience happen to her with the girls at church. She will be 18 mid-June and graduating late May and then going up to our cabin to work with her soon to be returned missionary brother, I will not be with them. Because of how mean the incident was she is now attending Sunday School and Relief Society with me. She has wanted to for a very long time and since I will not have that opportunity when she turns 18 we are taking advantage of it now. She is quiet and beautiful and never speaks ill of others. She lives so very close to the spirit. She has a confidence about her that all children of God should have. Her confidence and self-esteem come from within, not from without. She chooses the right without care of what others may think. It is a God-given gift that she has this confidence and surety from within. I wish all youth had this same gift. I wish the adults had it, too. I think that sometimes this confidence unnerves others who are not so self-assured.
I am working on my minor in family history through BYUI. This week I was doing some research for one of my classes. I was getting frustrated not finding records I needed for an assignment, but what I did find was a great blessing to me.
Charles Lambert was a British convert to the Church. He had been a fine stonecutter and was experienced and had moved up to being an overseer. He arrived in Nauvoo with a great talent and a desire to serve the Lord. Upon his arrival he sought out the temple and offered his services. He was told there was a great need for his trade, but the funds had long ago been exhausted and there would be no pay. He gladly accepted the job or rather service. The next day he showed up to work in his suit and silk top hat, the only work clothes he had since he had not cut stone for awhile as he had been the overseer. He quietly hung up his suit coat and top hat, put on an apron and made a makeshift cap.
What Charles didn't know was that the Americans weren't so impressed with these "dandy" men who were so formal. Whatever their motivation they began to throw granite chips at his top hat until it was shredded to pieces. At the end of the day Charles found his silk top hat and didn't say a word. He never said a thing to anyone and because of his gentle demeanor he was quickly accepted by the other men and loved.
What really struck me about this story was that these were members of the Church, temple workers, no less, who shredded his hat. Charles was pretty much destitute even though he wore fine clothes, they were all he had. Shortly after he arrived he married Mary Alice Cannon, the daughter of George Cannon and sister to George Q. Cannon. Her mother had died on their voyage to America and shortly after the martyrdom her father died of heat exhaustion looking for work in St. Louis. George Q. was living with his sister and her husband, Lenora Cannon and John Taylor. My grandmother, Anne, was living with another relative. This left 15 year old Mary Alice to care for her three younger siblings. It was at this time that the 25 year old Charles asked for her hand in marriage and offered to care for her and her three siblings as he served working on the temple. He did not have a job and they often relied on the Lord for their sustenance and the Lord provided. This destitute little family lived close to the Lord as they struggled to live the gospel. When Charles' hat was destroyed he had every right to be angry, but he wasn't.
I thought about how as members of the Church we haven't changed much in the nearly 190 years since the Church was organized. Joseph longed to raise a Zion people and was disappointed that the people weren't ready. I believe every prophet since has strived for this. The experience we had and reading Charles' story helped me realize I have a long way to go, too. I like to think that I am preparing myself, but I learned a lot about me this past week. I wondered how I would have reacted if I had been Charles. His story has been very forward in my mind all week. I am so very grateful for him recording this and his quiet example of faith. I've realized I need to record more of these kinds of experiences for my posterity and for my profit and learning. It can be used as a measuring stick to see how I am progressing.
I wish the jealousy and lashing out hadn't happened to my daughter especially unprovoked. I've learned from Charles that there really is no such thing as a 'righteous indignation' and sometimes we are wronged, it is what strips us of our pride as we willfully submit. All that matters is that we stay right with the Lord.
One last story about Charles. He and another stonecutter made a vow together that they would stay and work on the temple until it was finished. Other men were leaving the worksite to go find work as they were also desperate for money. Shortly thereafter Charles was walking down the road towards home when a man called out to him by name and then introduced himself as Higgins. He told Charles that he lived in Missouri and was in need of a stonecutter and had heard of his fine workmanship and had plenty of work with good pay, "just name your price," and he pulled out several $10 and $20 gold coins and temptingly played with them in his hand. He said Charles would be treated much better than he was on the temple project. Charles did not even think about the job and the money that his family needed. He said he had no complaints about his work at the temple and declined the offer then turned to leave. As he did so he wondered how this stranger knew his name, how to find him and how he heard of the fine work that he did. He turned around almost instantly and the man was gone "as if the earth had swallowed him up." He hadn't time to travel any distance from where they had spoken, but there was no sign he had ever been there. Until his dying day Charles swore that Satan had been the one to try to woo him away from his work on the temple. He was glad that he honored his vow and stayed true to the Lord.
So many lessons in that story, too. I am so grateful for Charles and his fine example of faithfulness and duty to the Lord. He knew in whom he could trust.

This is good stuff - if you are in a position to lead:

People call Christians brainwashed and deluded.  No, we have at our head, the BEST leader ever.  If you study how satan works, he is selfish and does not lead, but gets his minions to do the dirty work and then he pulls the carpet out from under them and they are left to themselves.  Jesus, the opposite.  This is why people will go to their deaths for Him.  Same thing with Joseph Smith and so many others.  True leadership.

So I have this older gal at church (whom I call my surrogate mother; even talks and looks like her).  She is a prepper and a rock solid good woman.  Last Sunday, she asked me if I had anything for her (of blog interest).  It is hard to keep on keepin' on when you are not sure where the finish line is, and you are getting older by the day.

Anyway, a contact that I have reached out to me to give me information that assures me that we are close, close, close.    It was definitely the best convo ever.  I cannot say what it is - just that I can pretty confidently say that we are likely in the 3.5 years prior to the trib (pre-trib time).  In retrospect, I can semi-confidently say that the flurry of bad juju activity accompanying the exciting crossing of the sun last August 2017 was a marker of the beginning of the 7 years.

It gives me peace - this information - knowing that I do not have far to go.  I get weary of watching and waiting, as well.  Now, I know that I just need to plod along, following the Spirit on further promptings of what I need to do to be ready.

There is another great video here that talks about the connection of the reddish brown haired people of Egypt and the Irish.

Of course, we already knew this due to the blessing of Joseph by Israel.

I think my wife discovered this quite some time ago.  Great bed-time music, or just good for meditating:

I am always late to the show....  Enjoy!

This is quite an interesting graphic.  Remember that it was the first one (Tambora) that caused the relocation of the Smith family from Vermont to NY by force of circumstance with several years of failed summers due to the ash in the air, blocking the sunlight.  This and a couple of major financial setbacks led to the greatest thing since the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on the face of the planet.  So, when you have setbacks, whether health or financial or other; remember this little fact - and be grateful that you were not hanging out within about 25 miles of Tambora when she let loose, as a near-ELE event:

Love this song:

Would love to be able to serenade my lady while playing the piano to this....

Dennis DeYoung (the lead singer), is one of the few people in the rock industry that I can truly say that I would be comfortable emulating.  Truly a class act.  Married happily and faithfully since the early 70's.

On a parallel note, after 25 years of marriage to my sweetheart, I find this interesting.  Hopefully, we swing a little more towards her in the looks dept.  She has some pretty great genes from her father's mother - the women on that side look timeless, even into their 70's and 80's:

So, he has not gotten called of to war in his 20th year.  That is a good thing.  We all need more time to repent and get it right, including me.

However, I am a little concerned about what is going on with England and Russia.  One of the harbingers of badness to come kind of reared it's ugly head yesterday when things soured significantly over the whole spy poisoning thing the past few days.  It came to a head with the death by strangulation of the second spy.  Yesterday, Russia warned England that they are messing with a nuclear power (England is as well - but I would put my money on Russia any day - as they have not given in to national degradation, whether by trannies or the muzzy invasion of Londonistan....).  Russia has declared themselves a Christian nation and have simply said that they will not tolerate any kind of terrorism.  When there have been isolated incidents of school take-overs, etc - they just send the special forces in and wipe them out.  Take no prisoners - no holds barred.  Real men.  The sissified garbage of the West does not even occur to them.  Just go for it and git r dun....

So, if I were to gage the average SJW snowflake American "male" vs the average Russian man, my money is firmly planted with the Russian.  Same thing in a battle of that joke of a prez we had in the whorehouse vs Putin.  At least with Trump, I can firmly state that we once again have a male in the Whitehouse that will kick butt and take names, when it comes to American interests.  I am not looking for overbearing here - just someone who will look out for the average American taxpaying individual.

So, I would tread lightly when it comes to England vs Russia, due to this statement.  Indeed, with England throwing Russian diplomats to the curb yesterday, an escalation could well end with a quick blow of a bear paw to a lion's head....:

Can you tell me about the bear and the lion prophecy by Joseph Smith?

N.B. Lundwall refered to a prophecy by Joseph Smith concerning a sign of the times when the bear would put its paw upon the head of the lion. Do you have any information on this Gramps?  Thanks.

Dear Reid,
An 1890 issue of the Juvenile Instructor records the prophecy you mention as well as an interpretation.
“Elder Jesse W. Fox, Sen., received the narration from Father Taylor, the father of the late President John Taylor. The old gentleman said that at one time the Prophet Joseph was in his house conversing about the battle of Waterloo, in which Father Taylor had taken part. Suddenly the Prophet turned and said, ‘Father Taylor, you will live to see, though I will not, greater battles than that of Waterloo. The United States will go to war with Mexico, and thus gain an increase of Territory. The slave question will cause a division between the North and the South, and in these wars greater battles than Waterloo will occur. But,’ he continued, with emphasis, “‘when the great bear (Russia) lays her paw on the lion (England) the winding up scene is not far distant.’
“These words were uttered before there was any prospect of war with Mexico, and such a thing as division in the United States was never contemplated. Vet these fierce struggles came, and though Joseph himself was slain before they occurred, Father Taylor lived to witness some of the world’s most remarkable battles.
“The struggle between the bear and the lion has not yet happened, but as surely as Joseph the Prophet ever predicted such an event so surely will it not fail of its fulfillment.” (Juvenile Instructor vol 25, no 6, pg 162).
