KING CYRUS AS THE PROTOTYPE OF THE SAVIOR - JUBILEE CONNECTION

I thought this commentary was interesting:

Cyrus was quite a remarkable man.

Isaiah 45 says Cyrus was God's Anointed [Messiah]

In Ezra 1 Cyrus said God made him
King of all the kingdoms of the earth.

Cyrus conquered Babylon and set its
captives free.

Cyrus decreed the return of God's People
to Jerusalem and decreed the rebuilding
of God's Temple.

Cyrus was the prototype of He who would follow.

Moses was sent by God to release the captives of Egypt on the 50th, 50 year Jubilee (2500 years after Adam and Eve were sent out of the Garden of Eden).

Cyrus released "the captives" once again from the Babylonian exile on the 20th, 50 year Jubilee after Moses had originally set them free from the Egyptians.

In one Jewish year from this year's schemitah year, we start the 50th, 50 year Jubilee (2500 years since the Babylonian captives were released by Cyrus, and the 6th thousand year since Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden.  We literally are in the last few seconds of the 6th day and are about to enter the Lord's rest.

Does the significance of that sink in?  The enemies of Israel will surround her and kill a majority of them who are gathered into Jerusalem against the final onslaught, and then the Lord (of whom Cyrus was a prototype) will lead them out of captivity and they will build their temple.

Folks - this IS EXCITING stuff!!

We are on the cusp.  If you watched Jonathan Cahn's video a few posts back, you will know that he mentioned 1917, 1967 and then that we are coming up on the big one of 2017.  The schemitah year this year and then the mother of all mothers that starts on October 16th, 2016 and ends in 2017.  We are coming in for a fine finish, doncha think??
