Thank you Jonathan Cahn and so many others who have higher profiles and have rung the warning bell or lit the lamp in the steeple...... It takes cahunas to sound like a broken record and put your reputation on the line. When you sound the bell and things do not happen as quickly as you expected, people tend to harden to you and you become somewhat of a pariah. Sometimes, they just simply hate you for it and you can actually take physical damage for it. I usually split before it comes to fisticuffs..... You have to be fast - Samuel the Lamanite style. Speaking of which - I found a pic in the book showing a typical wall in the North American Heartland model that he might have been on (cement covering wooden stockade walls). Not quite as impressive as the artist's depiction of the stone wall in the Book of Mormon:

Back on track; I have a lead at work that is finally softening up a little on me and my message. He has been naysaying for years (no man knows the future kind of mentality).
I guess some enemies will turn into friends when they find out that I was not doing this for my own gratification (although, having woken someone up and then saying "I told you so", is kind of fun). I only do this because I was commanded to in the Seattle Temple. I was told to move eastward (get off the coast to higher ground) and to warn others of impending financial and geological disasters, per D&C 88. Once you have been warned, warn your neighbor.
I am still baffled why we are not hearing more from SLC. I know they know - the delivery of 150,000 tents was just made to a certain camp by Provo. I get that it is a world-wide church and what applies to Utah, does not apply to Paraguay necessarily - but it still is unnerving to me.
I just have to have faith and trust.
Here is what got me spun up from a commenter to this blog:
The Ogden cannery is out of many items including prepacked rice, red wheat, carrots, onions, and potato flakes. The Layton cannery is out of many of the same items. They told me to come back a few days later and they would be restocked. When I returned there was a note on the white board saying that those items were back ordered with the supplier and they were still unavailable. These canneries are not equipped to handle many customers at a time. If you need food, now is a good time to get it done. A volunteer told me that business has tripled since last year.
A sudden uptick in activity at the cannery may well be the VIX of the Church..... A prelude to impending badness.
I think often about not hearing more from SLC as you noted in this post. The feeling I get is that we have been invited to prepare and the Lord wants those who are willing to listen to those simple invitations and the promptings from the Holy Ghost to respond. If it came in any other way, it would be a response to fear not from a desire to be obedient. I also get feeling that it may be a test and a trial to see if we will still be faithful and follow the Prophet even though he didn't give us the details of what was coming. There may be more to it, but I am confident that they only hint in general of things to come because the Lord has told them to do so.
ReplyDeleteI liked your comment. We have already been told what has happened, what is happening and what will happen. The scriptures are filled with the signs of the times - and those that have the eyes to see and the ears to hear - get it. Our Conference messages are filled with guidelines too - "hold to the rod, stand by the tree" - good advice in a fallen world. Regarding SLC being more outspoken - your comment of being a "world wide Church" is the key. Some countries outlaw food storage - consider it hording. Some poorer countries don't have the means for their people to have storage. If SLC said anything very explicit - it would create a panic - in our countries, but possible world-wide - limiting by governments acceptance of the Church within the many country's borders. Example - when Pres. Hinckley for his "Christmas Devotional" referred to a Charles Dickens book "The Life of Our Lord" - the publisher ended up with three printings of a book they didn't think would sell out with one. They didn't understand the rush. We do - anything our leaders refer to - we desire to know or have. SLC expects us to magnify our own personal powers of revelation, scripture study and promptings. This is what may be happening with the canneries. Also, the prices are much "kinder" at the canneries than in the stores - prices are only to cover costs at LDS canneries. Again - I enjoyed your comment.
DeleteI stopped into the Logan cannery this morning to get a few filter water bottles, and visited with the Sr. elder there at the front desk. He said that normally, doing $3000 a day in business was a good day. For the last three weeks they have been doing ~$12,000 in sales a day. Stuff is flying off the shelf.
ReplyDeleteTheir order of two cases of 100 Seychelles brand filter water bottles, which came in earlier this week, took 2-3 months to arrive. As of this morning they have one case left.
The elder indicated to me that there is no particular stated reason for the recent rush in business -- people are just being prompted to prepare.
Rob
I stopped in a client's office on Tuesday to see if she had done anything since last September when I first warned her about gathering her food storage. She has done nothing. I said it might be to late but that she could probably get it shipped to her house from store.lds.org. She pulled it up on her computer and low and behold only 4 of the 16 food items for purchase are even in stock: quick oats, macaroni, spaghetti, sugar. Everything from rice, beans, flour, and wheat are out of stock.
ReplyDeleteYou can get the seychelles brand filter water bottle still :)
What evidence do we have about 150,000 tents purchased by the church? How do we verify?
ReplyDeleteI am curious about this as well. However, a few days ago my brother informed me of something interesting. He has a co-worker that went to Cabelas. Upon learning that this co-worker was LDS, a cabela employee asked her "Do you know why your church is spending thousands of dollars on tents?"
DeleteI realize this isn't exactly source material. It goes through a Cabela employee realizing something odd- to a customer- to a co-worker, - to me. It is through two separate sources however, making the claim much more believable to me.
With regards to not hearing too much from the GAs. Read D.C. 45:72 "And now I say unto you, keep these things from going abroad unto the world until it is expedient in me, that ye may accomplish this work it the eyes of the people, and in the eyes of your enemies, that they may not know your works until ye have accomplished the thing which I have commanded you;"
ReplyDeleteAlso, go back and reread Pres. Monson's Ensign message from last September '14. The whole article is on preparedness, but he gives a "parable" of chickens being frightening by the fire and commotion. The chickens molt and stop laying eggs. Guess who the chickens are that can't handle calamities....? Just food for thought. :)
I was at welfare square in SLC this week and they were out of sugar, regular oats, white and pinto beans and had 6 boxes left of quick oats. The guy who was working told me to check back next week. They have never been out of anything when I have gone before (monthly for the past 3 years) Luckily I already have my year+ supply, and I was helping a friend navigate the process. I hope she has enough time to finish.
ReplyDeleteRead Chapter 3 in next years church study guide from President Howard W. Hunter entitled: Adversity--Part of God’s Plan for Our Eternal Progress. It lays everything out for all to see. That will be taught to all church going members early in 2016. :) So exciting!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for posting that. What a wonderful message!
DeleteI remember thinking that we were going to get some serious information at the last general conference, but found the conference feeling like things were fine except that there was a HUGE emphasis on the family and traditional marriage. They knew what was coming and sure enough the family and traditional marriage was attacked severely a few months later. But then as I continued to listen to the conference in my car, as I do several times, I started hearing more and more hints about getting prepared that I didn't pick up the first time. Two that I picked up on the first time was Elder Bednar's and Elder Anderson's based on "If ye are prepared ye shall not fear" and the Second Coming. But there was much more. I do believe that evil forces on both sides of the veil are watching the Church closely. We must listen by the Spirit in order for the messages to get through. That way the evil forces can't decode the messages because they aren't entitled to the Spirit.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else needing a paper bag to hyperventilate in? I mean think about what IRAQ is reportin' here.
ReplyDeleteHere's something I find disturbing and wonder if it's really true. That part in Gayle Smith's vision where she says she saw the Church turning over all of our food storage to the U.N. to comply with the law. I read she had this vision when she was in good standing but is currently ex-comm.
Can anyone else shed any light on this? Like do you know if any others have seen this too in dream/vision/GA statements?
Whatever the case, it's certainly looking like we're about to play our part in world history to it's conclusion.
What stories of miracles and heroism will unfold? A mean army will show up and laugh at us until we show them how ONE Bishop can take out all their knights in one fell swoop. CHECK MATE!
Does anyone else day dream of where you'll be and what you'll be doing concerning the extreme parts of the Last Days? I do.
Time to get Visions of Glory out and read it AGAIN...........thank you IRAQ for the post. Stay strong brother. No doubt you'll end up being the stuff legends are made of along with many other of our noble brothers and sisters.
My home cannery is running full on.
ReplyDeleteOver the past month we have canned
50 lbs of chicken
24 pints of peaches
8 pints of beans
20 pints of fruit preserves
16 pints of tomatoes
Went to the Sandy City LDS Cannery today. Someone was walking out with $2,000 of food, another person $1800. Someone else was taking out 20 bags of wheat.
ReplyDeleteThe deal is this - If you come in to "shop" or grab and buy #10 cans that have been packaged by the church they are running low and in many situations are completely out of stock.
The Sandy City LDS cannery allows us to can the food ourselves or purchase bulk foods and go home and can them. We can still go in and can the bulk food or take bulk foods home. but as the missionaries told me they are running VERY low on even the bulk foods.
In a nutshell - yes, the commodities are running very low. People are buying in bulk and this has been going on well over a month according to the missionaries (even before the stock market crash a few days ago).
Get your food storage - it's a commandment and a sense of "calm" rushes over me when I hear that food is low!!
On another note it is WONDERFUL to see the cannery's low meaning people are finally buying it for themselves.
You are lucky. Most canneries in North America no longer have the machines to seal cans or Mylar bags on site or to check out. I wish they did- I want to can a lot of things not available for purchase such as split peas, lentils, dry beans, etc.
DeleteI believe that if the leaders of the Church were to bluntly warn us about what is coming in the near future it would cause more fear than good. Really, consider what would happen if they were to put it out there, let's say, in General Conference. MASS panic for those who have not put in the obedience to promptings or for those who are not spiritually prepared to hear it. Faith and obedience (to the Prophet and the Spirit) is part of the process of spiritual growth. God needs to give us the opportunity to obey the commandment to store food and have faith in doing so, so that we deserve the spiritual blessings tied to such obedience and faith. Thus, when the tribulations do happen, we are spiritually prepared. If the leaders just told people how it was going to be there would be no faith-filled obedience to merit the blessings of spiritual strength...and we all know we are going to be needing that in the next few years!
ReplyDeleteThey have given plenty of subtle warnings that can be heard by those who are listening. I believe we will see different waves of people waking up :) It will be interesting to watch!
Online LDS Store you can STILL purchase Regular Oats, Quick Oats, Sugar, Spaghetti bites, White Rice, Macaroni

Last time I was at a cannery nearest Cardston, it was closed. The parking lot was blocked off; maybe for repaving, but I am not sure exactly. There were about ten cars in the Bishop's Storehouse side and that part of it was open, but the Home Cannning part was blocked off and closed. It could be up and running again by now. Not sure. I think it was either the 20th or 21st of August that we tried to inquire about picking something up that we had ordered a long time ago (end of May or beginning of June.) and wondering why we had heard nothing, except something from the ward canning specialist saying they had new people in charge, and to just bring the receipt. On our receipt, though, the items were not originally itemized for us; only the grand total was put on the receipt, so I don't know how we would prove that we ordered all that hot chocolate. The whole facility was closed the day that we came in person and tried to inquire. Usually you get a call when your ingredients have come in, but we have received none, and that was a lot of hot chocolate that is still missing from our original order. Maybe we will get more answers when we get back. The nice gentlemen from the Bishop's storehouse side, said there was a new missionary couple in charge there now, and a different couple from the ones that were in charge when we originally bought all the hot chocolate. Then my first name was spelled wrong on all the cans that we did purchase and were able to take from the Home Cannery, so I hope that isn't a problem either when I try again to claim the items that we paid for and ordered. We will see....
ReplyDeleteI think people concerned that the "brethren aren't warning us" are living under a false expectation. Don't be surprised if we don't get specific warning from them, because I don't believe that's in line with the principles of the gospel. First of all, we've been warned numerous times that we need to prepare. We had gone several years without hearing clear counsel from the prophet to prepare, and lo and behold, last year we received it from President Monson in the September Ensign. If you've been following the counsel from Salt Lake City, it won't matter if the tribulations start in September 2015 or September 2115. You will be found watching when the time comes, and not beating your fellow servants when the master comes. We are to be "faithful and wise servants."
ReplyDelete"Blessed is that servant whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing."
We all know rough times are ahead, and Elder Andersen often reminds us of that in his talks. Very often.
Guys you can go to berkeywaterfilters.com and search for ziplock mylar bags. Purchase quart bag sizes to up to 6 gallon bags . The prices are .40 cents to $1.89 a piece. How to mylar bag 25 lb bags: open a 6 gallon mylar bag, add a 25 lb bag of food like beans, rice. Poke a hole in the bag of food before placing in the mylar bag. Add 2000cc or more in oxygen absorbers. Take your hair straightener and seal the top of the mylar bag. For $2.25 you just preserved 25 lbs of food for 10+ years.
ReplyDeleteHow to Mylar Bag up to 25 lbs of food for $2.55 and it keeps food fresh for 3-30 years:
ReplyDelete1. visit http://www.berkeywaterfilters.com/ and search for ziplock mylar bags
2. Purchase quart size up to 6 gallon bags (buy 10 6 gallon bags @ $1.79 a piece)
3. Go to the LDS cannery and pick up 100 300cc oxygen absorbers
4. Purchase your food items... (dry cereal, dried fruits, veggies, grains, powders, pastas etc)
Putting it together -
Open your food bag, dump it in the mylar bag, add 1 300cc in the 1 pint - 1 quart bags, 2 300cc in the 1.5 gallon, 3 in the 2 gallon and 7 300cc oxygen absorbers in the 4.25-6 gallon bucket bags.
Sometimes I will poke a hold in the food bag (i.e. beans come in brown bags, punch a hole about the size of a quarter and stuff a few oxygen absorbers in the brown bag and the remainder in the mylar bag and seal. This way it's double secured in a sense...
How to seal: use your flat iron, or a hair straightner. My hair straightner heats up to 400 degrees and works perfectly. Do NOT seal the ziplock portion but leave it unlocked. Place the hot hair straightner at the top and seal the sides of the ziplock bag together.
The oxygen absorber's will suck just as if you were to use a #10 can.
Disadvantages to mylar bags - not as sturdy as the #10 cans and holes can be poked in them quite easily especially if you have cats, dogs or children. If you have a basement that you can place it and forget it - it's really no big deal. But if children will be jumping on the bags you might have to re-do your work.
Hints: I can sometimes purchase 2000cc oxygen absorbers on Amazon in bulk for $0.40 cents a piece. If you can't find them you can use 7 300cc's ($0.10 cents a piece at LDS cannery). 4.25-6 gallon bags need 2000cc's at a minimum.
You can always use more oxygen absorbers but should less than the minimum!
Please REMEMBER DO NOT USE oxygen absorbers for sugar and salt and brown sugar. It will harden it to a ROCK. Still useable but a ROCK!
Is anyone else seeing the bigger picture here? Julie Rowe had said that the church will ask us for a list of what we had in stock... a list of some sort... I have wondered for a year how this would come about since we are very aware our church is wealthy and VERY independent. How would they ask it's members to send them a inventory list or for what reason...
ReplyDeleteWhat will happen if the man made stock market collapse Sept - Dec 2015 isolates the church's stock investments and totally wipes them out, add to it the circulation on the internet that the bishops warehouse is OUT OF FOOD -
I have told a few people who are interested in getting food storage that the church is out of the main staples and they didn't flinch so then I presented it a bit differently... um if word gets out through texting, email, bloggers, facebook that the bishop's warehouse has little to no food people will obviously go to purchase food. When it can't be found there they will next shop at Costco, Sam's clubhouse, Winco, Food4Less, and any other giant food warehouse. When those companies run out of food they will make NATIONAL news and voila we are now in a situation where food is scarce. Throw in a natural disaster, collapse of the economy, drought and it turns us towards martial law!
Pretty concerning especially since not all members are seeing the need for food storage in 2015...
Loved that chicken analysis - never every thought of us being the chickens before and it's soooo true - I am molting now.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting that comment. I appreciate his talk even more with that insight....
Last Summer (2014) my stake sent out a 4 page questionnaire to every family regarding food storage. Asking if we had food storage, how much and whether we were willing to share it with others if it was needed. Anyone else had this happen?
ReplyDeleteOne possible reason why there is a shortage is Mills Crenshaw, now on KLO 1430, who had interviewed Julie Rowe two or three times on KTKK, believes in Pastor Lindsay Williams story, that the Elites, some of whom he had befriended when acting as a chaplain to employees working in the oil industry in Alaska. His story is that the Elites plan on collapsing the economy in order to gain more power over the people. Williams has been told by the Elites he is familiar with, that the collapse will occur in September.
ReplyDeleteHe has been talking about this for a couple years now. The September date is about 12 months old. Williams says that the Elites will telegraph their intentions to a few when they plan to do their manipulations.
For me, it makes no sense that the Elites would destroy their own wealth in the stock market along with the dollar. I would plan on seeing a big drop in the market causing a panic so they can rush in and buy up more of the market further impoverishing the general populace's wealth. This gambit could easily go afoul as all plans of mice and men. People concerning conspiracy theories, always want to ascribe such supper powers of reason for these Elite Gadiantons. Joel Skousen of World Affair Brief, would agree with me that there will be no collapse of the economy in September or there a bouts.
My dad is Bishop in his ward and he told me they have sent out lists asking about preparedness, but more about emergency supplies and/or tools, not food storage. He also gave a talk on preparedness and chose 3 families who voluntarily staged a fake disaster and had to live off their prepared items and food. It was the middle of winter and they weren't supposed to use running water or electricity. Not a bad idea to do to test your readiness and see what things could be done different or better.
ReplyDelete
