VOG SPENCER TIMING AND ABRAHAMIC TESTS

• When I asked Spencer about timing, he said that he was not given all of his dreams and visions sequentially and that although he lived through it, it did not happen in a linear time frame, it was given to him in snippets. He said that John Pontius felt like he needed to put it in a linear time frame for reading purposes, but Spencer made it clear that that is not how he experienced it, and the book contains errors. However, he feels that the timeline is good, and feels that things will start this Sept 2015.

  CJ Conover Also, a good friend of mine was with me and he asked Spencer if the Brethren were split on the timing of the events he saw. Spencer related how there are a couple who have a hard time with accepting the timing mainly because they say that there is too much that needs to happen – “we have to go to every nation, kindred, tongue and people, etc”. Although Spencer feels that this Sept things will begin to happen, he has to remain neutral for his own sanity’s sake and to give credence to the desires of his wife and some of the GA/brethren that believe the time is further out than this September. Spencer just says the words, “but if the Lord…” and goes on faith and hope. Then he reminded us that the enemy has a vote too. Back in June, Spencer said that he knows that right now there are men conspiring for the economic collapse. He told us that the collapse could be avoided, but it is a planned and calculated thing and that when it starts, it is just amazing how fast the rest of the things cascade and continue to get worst. He said it is just incredible how fast and how wicked and bad things get.

  CJ Conover Spencer then began to explain that there are many people that cling to the Telestial world, things of this lone and dreary world. Throughout all of the destruction, people continue to try and rebuild or restore the infrastructure and lifestyles that existed before the planet rebelled. Spencer reminded us that it is not the Lord’s plan. His plan is for us to move forward towards the Terrestrial World. He said that after the initial earthquake, he went to his house to retrieve his hiking boots, temple garments, and some food to take to the ward to give to the Bishop. He said he never returned to his home and never went to the bank or anything else. He lived in a small room in the Joseph Smith Building that had a bed and a sink in it and that was about all. He spent most of that first year just cleaning up around the temple and helping others to rebuild shelters or houses. He mentioned that the UN and Occupation troops were Chinese, Korean, Russian and Slavic. He mentioned that surprisingly, there are some now that are already in this country before all of the earthquakes and flooding began. He doesn’t understand this now, but he said that when things happen, they quickly rise up to take control. He mentioned that there was Marshall Law and it was enforced with no mercy and very brutal. Some people escaped to the mountains to fight the forces, but they were not protected by God. Spencer said they will learn that “those who live by the sword will die by the sword”. Again, he said this is not the Lords plan. He said we should let the Lord do our fighting for us. He said that those who lived without fear and put all of their trust in the Lord faired much better than those that didn’t.

  CJ Conover Another interesting thing we discussed was Spencer mentioned Abrahamic Tests. He said Neil Maxwell told him there are three criteria to an Abrahamic Test: 1. You don’t understand it, 2. It doesn’t make sense, and 3. You don’t want to do it. Spencer then went through Abraham’s dilemma with us saying that Abraham had a son, Ishmael, but the Lord told him Ishmael was not the son that he would fulfill His covenant with. Then the Lord gives him Isaac and tells him to kill his son – which, if he does, will make the covenant impossible to keep. And, of course, he loves Isaac, and doesn’t want to kill him. This is what we will have to look forward to as the earth evolves back to its Terrestrial stage of existence and onward. We need to be tested and tried through the refiner’s fire in order to be prepared for the higher laws, to build New Jerusalem and to welcome the Savior in his glorious coming.
