I have been there twice as I have been through personal Gesthemanes - but have never lost the faith. God will push us to our limits in order to try and test us so that we can find our limits - so that when judgment is passed on our lives and spirits, we will be constrained to exclaim, "It is just!".
I have liked a quote from General Conference: "Doubt your doubts...."
This new b-day present is even better:
"Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light."
I guess I have traded up in favorites.
I like one that President Monson has frequently referred to:
ReplyDeleteThe Scottish poet James Barrie wrote, “God gave us memories, that we might have June roses in the December of our lives.”
John 8
ReplyDelete10 - When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw not but the woman, he said unto her, "woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 - She said, "No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her,
"Neither do I comdemn thee: go, and sin no more."
