THIS BLOG ATTEMPTS TO SHOW HOW SCIENCE IS CATCHING UP WITH REVEALED RELIGION

THIS BLOG IS AN ATTEMPT TO PUT ALL THE COOL STUFF THAT I BUMP INTO ABOUT THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST AND EVENTS THAT LEAD UP TO IT INTO ONE LOCATION.
THE CONTENTS WILL BE FROM AN LDS PERSPECTIVE. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANYTHING IN HERE, I DO NOT PARTICULARLY CARE TO ARGUE, UNLESS YOU CAN ADD TO THIS BODY OF WORK. I HAVE AN OPEN MIND, THAT IS WHY I READ STUFF FROM ALL DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES AND SEEK LEARNING FROM THE BEST BOOKS. I JUST AM NOT HERE TO ARGUE ABOUT IT - BUT TO PUT IT OUT THERE WHERE OTHERS CAN PERUSE/PURSUE IT. I TAKE PARTICULAR INTEREST IN HONEST SEEKERS OF TRUTH AND BELIEVE THAT SCIENCE IS REVEALED RELIGION'S BEST ALLY. YOU WILL SEE ALOT OF TOPICS IN THIS BLOG THAT SHOW SCIENCE BACKING - AND SLOWLY CATCHING UP WITH - REVEALED RELIGION.

MORE OF THOSE PESKY 7'S - AND A STOCK MARKET REPORT

Just had a reader point out that I published my 777th article on the 29th Elul - and on the start of the 5777th Jewish year.....

Seriously - stop it already lol.

Maybe I will get my 7,777 point stock market drop, after all.  Here is a jaw-dropping report in from a reader.  Sounds like the markets are in trouble already today:

I just checked the BBC Stock Market Data report from yesterday.
Helium was up, but feathers were down. Paper was stationary, but pencils lost a few points. Lifts rose but escalators continued their slow decline. Switches were off and mining equipment hit rock bottom. The raisin Market has dried up. Pampers remained unchanged while Sun peaked at mid-day and Charmin tissues touched a new bottom.

Time to start stuffing the mattress with Ben Franklins!

I am as concerned about people becoming disillusioned about things not going exactly as expected tomorrow as I am about it actually happening.  People are fickle - just like the people in Jesus' day after he was strung up.  Most were completely deflated - and I am sure many walked away from it.

  1. Remember, the Lord loves a cliff-hanger. Samuel the Lamanite's 5 year prophecy wasn't fulfilled until the day they were going to put the believers to death.

  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YlzWPPiH4A&list=PL4A73DDEE675FBC39&index=17 3:37 video called Jesus Christ appears on the road to Emmaus: Jesus says O fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: ought not Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his Glory?

Jesus walks with them, talks with them and as he separates from them to part ways they invite him to eat with them.

Even as they were with the Savior they did not understand. They knew something and felt a burning but didn't understand it all. So it is with us, we all feel it and sense it and have had spiritual guidance to prepare but how it will affect us I am not sure any of us will truly understand until it comes to pass.

  3. I have had this same thought for a while now - that nothing visible will happen in September. Too many eyes watching the pot?

As I was studying my scriptures this morning, it struck me that while the apostles were confirmed with the Holy Ghost on the evening of Christ's resurrection [John 20:22], they did not "feel" the spirit until 50 days later (Day of Pentecost). Likewise Noah was sealed in the ark unable to "see" what was happening for 40 days.

Perhaps we won't know the result of this months Holy Days for another 40-50 days.

  4. I agree with anonymous. At our house, we call it the law of the last minute. Just because nothing visible may happen, doesn't mean the ball hasn't started to roll. I do believe that we are beginning the days of tribulation. Also, remember that in the parable of the 10 virgins, the Lord delayeth his coming. Maybe it's all to test our faith. What really matters is that we carry on, continue to prepare and watch and listen and follow the counsel of our leaders, and don't get discouraged.

  5. The Jewish New Year is from the Babylonian influence and before that was known as "The Day of Shouting" as in shofar or as in when they shouted and the walls of Jericho came down. "Day of shouting," or "Day of raising a noise" is the non-pagan term for this day. Great day for sharing the gospel.
