I am chatting with a FB bud who wonders how great the destruction will be just preceding Christ's coming. I have shown her the following link with the hymn by Eliza R. Snow (in an earlier 20th century Hymnal, that had no music, just the words):

in hopes that she will get the vision. When we are under the influence of the Spirit and we read a vision; having a proclivity for such things; we will experience, in one degree or another, the same vision that was given, even if we only experience it on a lower level, as through a glass, darkly. This touches on the principle of vicarious works. Joseph would experience something by way of a vision, and would merely have to touch the person he was with in order for them to begin to see what he was seeing, as he saw it. That would be a fantastic experience to have.
In order to see what is coming, it is important to read what the prophets have spoken on the matter. We will then begin to have our minds enlightened and our spirits quickened, so that we can "see" the same things.
