George Soros, the Billionaire Globalist Hedge-Fund Manager/provocateur, and his paid provocateur minions, either ignited the Ukrainian revolts or they fanned the existing flames - to both provoke Russia into a World War and to (temporarily) bottle them up in the Black Sea (as a broader military strategy)
Why would the Anglo-American Establishment get the Russians to persistently worry about NATO establishing, or utilizing an existing, military base in the Ukraine (that could potentially allow mid-range nuclear weapons to be strategically placed throughout their Eastern European next door neighbor)?
Simple. The REAL military targets are Syria (whose capital is 'Damascus' from the Old Testament) and Iran (which is the ancient area of 'Medes' recorded in the Book of Mormon)

Barack Obama (Revelation 13:2), and the Anglo-American Establishment/NATO (Daniel 7:4), have never taken their eyes off of invading ('Damascus') Syria (since Vladimir Putin foiled and embarrassed the west last summer) - while Israel is foaming at the mouth to launch an attack on Iran.
What will attend those stark military actions, according to the Scriptures, it will quite literally be the end of the divine protection over the United States and the Western Hemisphere - recorded in the Book of Mormon (2 Nephi 1:7). While the state of Israel, which simply does NOT meet the prophetic criteria of the Jews gathering in Jerusalem (2 Nephi 10:7-9; D&C 45:21-35), will be savagely destroyed by the Iranians - as the Lord's Prophet Isaiah (3 Nephi 23:1-3) long prophesied:

1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

This is the 'thirteenth' year since the events of September 11th, 2001 - that President Hinckley prophetically stated 'fulfilled' Moroni's admonition about a pinnacle prophecy (Joel 2:28-32) - which would be a signal 'that the fulness of the Gentiles was soon to come in' (Joseph Smith—History 1:41)
In scriptural terms, we have carefully traced the timeline of 3 Nephi Chapters 1 & 2 in a mirroring scriptural chiasm - where the appearance of the Savior in 1 AD (remember there is NO year Zero - there is 1 BC and 1 AD) parallels the events of '9/11' in 2001. And, in the very near future, we will further trace that timeline, with an eery grinding trace of the Book of Mormon's chiastic structure (as the Book of Mormon was indeed 'written for our day'), when World War III soon ignites:
