GMO FOOD AND SECRET COMBINATIONS

I do not have much time to blog this week, but here is some interesting info I found on a great little blog called:

I think the biggest thing we face today is secret combos in the form of the heads of large corporations sitting on the boards of others, building each other up to get gain and power over the people.  Monsanto is my favorite EVIL one and the main impetus in us deciding to get out of the city and onto our 8 acre farm where we can grow our own stuff and get out from under the hellish influences.  The forces that drove us to make the transition to this way of living were a Godsend and now are not beholden to a bank and very little to the toxic food supply we are forced to eat from these days.  Each one of us that is concerned about these issues can think outside the box and make decisions based on other than what we have been programmed with:  grow up, go to college (lots of debt), buy a big house (a life-time of slavery to debt), work at a job that requires excessive allegiance to time outside our family, have a glitzy car - lots of debt.  All media forces us mentally onto this treadmill that we may never find ourselves departing from.  This is why I love the Hutterites and others who have found a way to make most all of that go away - and be able to take care of themselves while spending most of their time around their families.  We will have a similar model in the Millennium - based on Joseph's vision of the small platted cities in a largely agrarian-based back-drop.  The Patriarchal/Matriarchal, family-based model will once again flourish and Millennial peace will reign again.  The dysfunction of modern society will melt away as we return to ground and shed our toxic traditions of men that have been built up over time.

With all the news about breast cancer, my wife was amazed to find Dow-Corning having a large deal to do with its growth (very little of this in non-industrialized nations - hmmmmm), and who then also was a major supplier of mammogram equipment to fight the dread "disease".  We find that much of our "disease" is caused by the effects of our environment.  I have some level of gluten intolerance and my wife struggles with B12 deficiency after several rapid-succession pregnancies brought it on and it now persists without regular B12 injections - she and I are both going to our neighbor who found us a year's supply of it for the $9 copay, and she is teaching us how to administer to each other.  Is it no surprise the incidence of these "diseases" are exploding in the western world?  Is it no surprise that, in order to fix my wife's B-12 deficiency, she was fed hand fulls of psychotropics which only treated the symptoms of the "disease" and not the root cause?  Is it no surprise that the rise of mental health issues and celiac disease among others began around the time this whole GMO thing took off?  Makes me sick to my stomach to think about, really.  I have a prayer in my heart daily that Monsanto and others will come to a quick demise - and it reminds me of a Kimball prophecy that "the more righteous (spiritually awake) among them, will pray day and night until deliverance comes".  I have stated it before and I will state it again, that if I were given all power, I would strike those cancers from the face of the earth by fire or some other modality.  I would not leave a trace of them - but then, I expect that a perfect Judge will take care of that in His timeline.  I just get impatient in the interrim.....

Are GMOs Increasing the Incidence of Gluten Sensitivities?

I had the honor of interviewing author and GMO expert, Jeffrey Smith, at the recent Seeds of Doubt Conference in LA. We had a lively discussion on how the consumption of genetically engineered foods may be contributing to the rise in gluten sensitivities. Jeffrey shared some amazing facts on how GM foods increase leaky gut, decrease nutrient content, cause bacterial imbalances, interfere with normal digestion, and increase allergenic response.

Topics of discussion included:

1. Bt toxin found in GM Bt Corn (non-organic corn chips, tortillas, cornstarch, etc.) and Cotton (cottonseed oil in processed foods) crops can poke holes in the intestines of animals and humans leading to a leaky gut. Bt Toxin has now been found in the blood of 93% of pregnant women and 80% of their offspring in a recent study in Quebec.

2. Roundup use has increased 527 million pounds since 1996 mainly due to the introduction of Roundup-ready GM crops (soy, cotton, canola, sugar beets, corn). Roundup is a potent mineral chelator and antibiotic. Mineral deficiencies such as manganese, zinc, iron, magnesium, iodine, cobalt (think vitamin B12 or cyanocobalamin) have been found in plants and the animals who eat them. The use of Roundup contributes to intestinal imbalances of bacterium in animals and in the soil leading to an increased susceptibility to disease for both animals and plants. Recent research is pointing to bacterial imbalances in people with Celiac Disease; and mineral insufficiencies are commonly associated with immune imbalances.

3. An increase in allergies and allergenic reactions have been documented with the use of GM crops.
