THE LAW OF CONSECRATION - WHAT WILL BE STRIPPED FROM US

In our extremity, we will learn to do without all of this stuff.  At the time of Christ, after the great upheaval in the land, the people had to learn to do with little or nothing and they learned to love each other.  Their hearts were drawn to each other and to Christ through Consecration.  Those who did so learned enough to make it through 300+ years.  What comes will purify the people to the point that they will be able to make it last for 1000 years.

Prepare yourselves:

  1. Just a bunch of innocent nymphs prancing throughout the forest and parries. Ha, talk about rewriting history. These people had some good qualities but culturally they were a brutal and ruthless bunch with maybe the exception being the Hopi. Read "Jacob Hamblin Among the Indians.

  2. Anybody else get the biggest laugh out of seeing WHITE actors in Hollywood play Indians?

Yes, the Indians did have some brutal ways of killing people. Skinning them alive, burying people in the ground near rising water leaving their heads out or in the desert to thirst to death and have their eyes pecked out by vultures. Other than that, they really did pretty much keep to themselves and took care of their own. Women were respected and taken care of and truly a village did raise a child. So what if the tipi was made out of white man body leather, the horse a Pinto instead of a Mercedes, and the blanket stinging nettle synthetic blend. It's the thought that counts. And.......the last time I looked.....tipis didn't have doors with locks. Just sayin'.

  3. Excuse me...I meant to say "Pinto instead of a Mustang" in the above comment. Thanks for your understanding and no offense to the Indians. I'm a quarter indian by heritage and according to the Lord from the Book of Mormon, we've gotten everything we deserve. He said we'd be scattered and smitten by the Gentiles and it happened. But apparently, better times are coming and we'll blossom as the rose again according to President Kimball and others who say we'll step in to help save the Constitution.

  4. After reading your quote, I had to comment: Whoa, there!!! Hold your horses! Only the last sentence is totally true. (imho)
Because my father in law was a member of one of the Sioux tribes, my husband and children carry some Native American DNA. This has inspired ,in me, a strong interest in Native American culture and history. One of the most fascinatingly honest and best documented books that I have lately read is "Empire of the Summer Moon" by S.C.Gynne. ( I'm guessing, because of the above quote, that you haven't read it?) And it is utterly compelling. Breathtaking. Heartbreaking. I highly recommend it. It is a clear look at both sides of the western American conflict. Such tragic cultural misunderstandings! Learn why a young warrior would fight to the death rather than surrender. ( It's not only about bravery) Learn what 19th century newspapers meant by "depredations". Learn why Colonial Spain could not expand their borders northward. Take an unflinching look at a warrior culture. (think super-gangs; survival of the fittest).
You are so generous in sharing your knowledge, hypotheses and opinions on this blog and I look forward to reading it all. Hope you don't mind my unknown self doing the same in my "comment" here. ( and no, I have no personal or professional interest in selling a book)

    1. I highly recommend you read the Book of Mormon. The American Indians are a remnant of the House of Israel. Brought to this sacred land by the hand of God for a wise purpose in Him. The powers that be have done everything they can to cover up the truth of the heritage/history of the American Indians.

Instead of getting all hyped up thinking you're being "proselyted", totally not the case. A real seeker of TRUTH will always consider information. Handle it, turn it inside out and then draw a conclusion based upon thorough investigation. Unless you've already done so, of course.

Oh and you can rest assured, our IRAQ here is very generous in sharing his opinions, knowledge, and hypotheses with all of us.

Thanks for the book recommendation. Sounds very interesting!

    2. Hi Anon. Totally agree with everything you wrote, of course, ( especially about the Book of Mormom & God's purposes) and did not mean to imply otherwise in my OT remarks. Not worried about being "proselyted" , just excited about having recently seen some history through a different lens while learning lots of fascinating facts. When I find a treasure trove of new information on pet topics, such as Native Americans and the human condition, I tend to let my enthusiasm get away from me. Nerd alert! I apologize.
