Man, I sure do love this gal. While she is getting up in years like I am, her wisdom and zeal excels nearly all. If you are in the north end of the SL valley (and female), get to know her and her peeps. They are a seed of Zion there. All resourceful, intelligent, wonderful people. I cannot say enough. If every ward consisted of a critical mass of those people that I met at that Wood Zone conference (it would only take 5% of them to reach the critical mass of social/spiritual change), then we would already have Zion. I am sure of it.
Here is what Heather had to say:
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge," lamented Hosea. (Hosea 4:6) Today, because some parents have refused to become informed and then stand up and inform their children, they are witnessing the gradual physical and spiritual destruction of their posterity. If we would become like God, knowing good and evil (Gen. 3:22), then we had best find out what is undermining us, how to avoid it, and what we can do about it." (Strengthening the Family, Elder Ezra Taft Benson

"Seeking to learn, understand, and recognize truth is a vital part of our mortal experience... Plead with the Lord for the gift of discernment. Then, live and work to be worthy to receive that gift so that when confusing events arise in the world you will know exactly what is true and what is not." (Russell M. Nelson, BYU-HI Devotional, Jan. 2016)
