I was chatting with my co-worker tonight who is married to a gal from China whose extended family was forced to flee China due to their status as intellectuals back during the Great Reform. Many family members who were not able to leave in time, died in labor camps for the crime of being industrious and having attained higher education.
He mentioned the Boxer Rebellion and I said it sounded much as it will be in Chicago when our own rebellion breaks out and then the nation is divided up amongst the nations who own our debt and who come here to act in a "humanitarian" role after a great disaster. The Chinese have institutional memory over decades and centuries. The Boxer Rebellion was a disaster for them - and they may well feel justified bringing a little disaster over here as payback.
Here is what my co-worker wrote me:
I shared the Joseph Smith prophecy and am trying to build his confidence in the restorer of Christ's church. Several years ago, I told him that he and his family should join the Church, as they are dry Mormons - that are already living the Gospel. He is leery of any organized religion. That did not keep his son from becoming friends with an LDS Base Commander in Bremerton, WA and then going to dances to find beautiful LDS women. I laughed when he did a "back-door" move and the son ended up joining and then marrying a beautiful LDS woman about a year ago. As his son put it - it was the only place where he could find a clean-living, wholesome woman that was marriage potential in an area of rampant drug use and loose sexual standards. Something about a man in a uniform that causes the women to throw it all away..... I guess everything has it's silver lining.Iraq,This is about the 1900 Boxer Rebellion and how the Great Powers (the United Nations today) and the Eight Nation Alliance (Britain, US, Australia, British India, Germany, France, Austria, Hungry, Italy and Japan) decided to split up China.THIS COULD VERY WELL BE OUR FUTURE AS WELL !! BUT WHO WILL BE THE GREAT POWERS TO SPLIT THE US of A UP ??
