President Spencer W. Kimball: "Is man earthbound? Largely so, and temporarily so, yet Enoch and his people were translated from earth, and the living Christ and angels commuted." (The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, p. 445.)
“An extremely unusual son was born to Lameck. The child's body was white as snow, with parts as red as a rose. His long hair was white as wool, and his eyes were piercing and brilliant. He was able to talk immediately and, according to Lameck, apparently conversed with the Lord. Lameck, concerned and disturbed, wondered if the boy were his own or possibly had been conceived by one of the "watchers" or "sons ofheaven."7 He discussed the matter with his wife, BatEnosh, who swore that the boy was Lameck's. Lameck took his problem to his father, Methuselah, who in turn sought counsel from his father, Enoch, who previously had been taken (translated) into heaven. Enoch told Methuselah to assure Lameck that his son had been sent from God to do a great work on the earth and that his name should be called Noah.” [Christs Eternal Gospel, p. 155, rendering parallel translations from The Book of Lameck, The Book of Noah, and The Book of Enoch from the scroll "A Genesis Apocryphon," the Dead Sea Scrolls]
Now, consider that there will be one "Mighty and Strong" sent as a prototype of Noah who will prepare the people for the baptism by fire that comes this time around. Joseph was a form of Enoch prototype (to prepare those who are taken up in Zion - in preparation for the face of the earth to be wiped clean and the "reset" to be pushed in order to bring up children in Zion like calves in the stall - in a protected area - where no feral beasts can run through and destroy spiritually-speaking).
We are on the cusp of a marvelous work and a wonder. The Church will flourish and be numbered in the hundreds of millions as the final push comes about and the d'evil's temporary day of power is brought to a startling ending.
Only the first quote is from Pres. Kimball, The second one, about Lameck/Lamech and Noah, is from someone else. The book, "Christ's Eternal Gospel", is written by O. Preston Robinson and Christine H. Robinson, published by Deseret Book in 1976.
