UTAH TO BE CLASSED AMONG THE WICKED CITIES OF THE WORLD

Wanted to share this post by a FB friend on another page, by his permission because it was so powerful. Preface: Back in the 70's when I was attending UofU some friends and I took a drive up Emigration canyon one night. At that time as we were coming close to a nice cabin on the left we notice about 20 really nice cars lining the road. Porches, Jaguars Etc. Being College girls we thought "Party" but as we approached we all felt the hair on the back of our necks stand up and saw over the door a taxidermy'd upside down goat head. We immediately turned the car around and go out of there. At the time I was shocked to see something like that in of all places the safe haven of SLC. This was Posted by John U. in reference to the lightening strike on the angel Moroni: The prettiest facades are often concealing the ugliest problems – just beneath the surface.
Such is the case with the pristine manicured Bountiful Area and the Wasatch Front – in general.
Was this damage, to a statue of the angel Moroni, perched atop the House of the Lord, heralding the second coming of the Savior, symbolic about how the Lord feels about issues plaguing Northern Utah (or the Wasatch Front in general)?
I absolutely believe that is the case.
There are more pornography subscriptions along the Wasatch Front than any other urban area on earth. (And an unprecedented flood of codependency that helps to drive that pornographic addiction). The Wasatch Front is drowning in modern-day 'sorcery' (pharmakeia in Greek) – or an unmatched amount of legal pharmaceutical prescriptions; and a massive amount of illegal drugs. (Salt Lake County has one of the worst crystal methamphetamine problems in the Western Hemisphere – while Utah County has one of the world's leading concentrations of heroin abusers). In the city that Brigham Young and the pioneer Saints founded, two figures and one street sign must have Brother Brigham rolling in his grave – Jackie Bickupski (the nation's 2nd openly lesbian mayor – who governs a city that G.L.A.A.D. called the '2nd most queer friendly city in the United States'); Derek Kitchen (the 2015 elected Salt Lake City Councilman – whose lawsuit against the State of Utah, for the 'right' to marry his same-gender 'partner', became the foundation for the Supreme Court's 2015 ruling on same-sex marriage); and Harvey Milk Boulevard (named after the nation's first openly homosexual government official – who was long accused of pedophilia and rape allegations by a plethora of all but ignored accusers). In that same vein, there is an inordinate amount of sexual abnormal behaviors along the Wasatch Front – that are both heralded and celebrated. 'Witchcraft', or 'subtle speech' Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)/Alpha-level MK-Ultra campaigns, largely charged with driving apostasy within the Church, is rampant along the Wasatch Front – from 'An Open Letter to a CES Director' to Kate Kelly's 'Ordain Women' to John Dehlin's publicized campaigns to Denver Snuffer's lawyering 'sophistry' (etc). The Wasatch Front has more plastic surgery centers, with far more patrons, than any other urban area in the world – including the Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles. Anti-property rights legislation – which bluntly contradicts the Gospel tenants found in Doctrine Covenants Sections 98, 101 and 134 – was promoted and offered in exchange for new 'rights' (or rather unconstitutional privileges) granted to a newly protected political class (who are defined by their same-gender sexual behaviors). Abortion clinics litter Salt Lake City like few other cities of its size. And, finally, following the 'words of Isaiah', the prophetic rant of Moroni and the 'test' prophecy from Heber C. Kimball, concerning a last days 'spirit of speculation' (that would grip the Saints), there is a pandemic of financial fraud and decadence along the Wasatch Front (evidenced by the Multi-Level Marketing companies spaced every 1000 feet along 1-15 to the decadent shops maligning downtown Salt Lake City's two most prominent malls, filled with items that the average Utah income would have to take a home equity loan out to purchase, to three major downtown areas [Ogden, Provo and Salt Lake City] filled with fractional-reserve bank buildings towering above three Temples of the Lord)
When Moroni prophetically warned of an 'awful situation', catalyzed by a satanic 'secret combination', that would be 'among' the Saints (Ether 8:24), one does NOT have to look very far to see its 'fruits' (3 Nephi 14:20)

The devil's 'secret combination' – which all but publicly operates (above ground) at the Alta Club, located across the street from Brigham Young's Beehive House (in Downtown SLC) – is like an iceberg. Or a Pacific island – born from a volcanic eruption.
What you see above the surface is only partially indicative of what is actually carrying on below the surface – behind the scenes.
And what we see above the surface screams out that the 'secret combination' is NOT only embedded along the Wasatch Front, it has infiltrated every aspect of our society – in that area (as the Book of Mormon long prophesied would be the case)
Is it any wonder that this symbol of the Lord's covenant people was so utterly damaged?
Yet, in spite of all that was inventoried, most of the active LDS residents along the Wasatch Front gleefully chant:
