Seems like Lief Erikson was kind of a wus..... He and all those other guys who seemed to have been able to make it in Iceland, Greeland and so many other inhospitable places - could not make a go of it in N. America where the climate was exponentially worse...... Yep.
I just found this article on the exmo site that is trolling this site and thought it was comical that they forgot to fact check a few things:

First of all - those guys would have survived anywhere they put their mind to settle. The Vikings were not pot-smoking wus's. They were here on this continent only briefly because they were turned back by an angelic being who told them to go back; it was not their time. That is the only thing that might have turned them back in a time when they were tearing it up on any culture they put their sword to (please note multitudinous "rubble-ized" castles in Ireland, et al). It does not take a rocket scientist..... Even a drunk, brain-hazed fellow could figure that out. Even his mom could..... under the same effects.....
So, if you would like to pull your heads out of the 420-induced cloud they have been marinating in (or wherever else they might be located), you will find a little truth. Just sayin'......
Man I love messing with the anti's out there. Their false intellectualism is astounding! And fun.
