I HAVE AN OPEN MIND, THAT IS WHY I READ STUFF FROM ALL DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES AND SEEK LEARNING FROM THE BEST BOOKS. I JUST AM NOT HERE TO ARGUE ABOUT IT - BUT TO PUT IT OUT THERE WHERE OTHERS CAN PERUSE/PURSUE IT. I TAKE PARTICULAR INTEREST IN HONEST SEEKERS OF TRUTH AND BELIEVE THAT SCIENCE IS REVEALED RELIGION'S BEST ALLY. YOU WILL SEE ALOT OF TOPICS IN THIS BLOG THAT SHOW SCIENCE BACKING - AND SLOWLY CATCHING UP WITH - REVEALED RELIGION.

BRIGHAM YOUNG AND GOING EXTREME UTAH

Wow - now that would be a callout extraordinaire.  I wonder if Brigham was just suppositioning - or waxing prophetic on some level.....:
Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 3, p. 153, May 6, 1855
"It would be pleasing if all the Saints had strong faith and confidence, but sometimes many seem to falter in their feelings. I do not know how many I might find in this congregation
who would have faith enough to believe that we could live on the tops of these high mountains, which are 6, 619 feet higher than the Temple Block, in case we’re called to go up
there and live, and there was no other place for us; I do not know whether a great many in this congregation could have faith to believe that we could live there."
