The temple in Mexico City is being dedicated on exactly that same day. 13 September 2015 = 29 Elul 5775, with the ending session to be finished right on the border of the Feast of Trumpets.
ReplyDeleteThe temple in TJ (Tijuana) is going to be dedicated on the last day of Hanukkah.
But still we have a long way to go before we here in Mexico truly understand the significance of Ephraim and Judah coming together again. They saw it as interesting but nothing more really, until I let them know of the symbology of Moroni coming to Joseph Smith when he did and the instrument that Moroni blows on the temples.
The Mexico City temple is going to have a LOT more symbolism both inside and outside of the temple, something that wasn't really there when it was dedicated in 1983 or rededicated in 2008. But from information given us by the person who is overseeing the construction, there will be many motifs from the Book of Mormon and the New Testament inside.
