Likewise, I have just made a trip to BYU-I and BYU for my kids. They have pumped MAJOR $$'s into both schools. The MTC is getting a major upgrade soon as well. We have 143 operating temples, and 170 total when all the ones under construction and announced are completed. The "Actions" of The Church fully indicate that the work is moving forth at an accelerated pace. Missionaries are still being called by the thousands. All the stuff on this blog begs the question..."if the USA is nuked, THEN WHAT??? Everything grinds to a halt. The WORK stops. Who will carry the work forth once 2/3rds of us are killed off? How will the Gospel go to "all the world" if The Church and its infrastructure is taken out? Who will train the missionaries? How will they get to foreign lands if cars and planes no longer work due to EMP damage? So many things DON'T ADD UP. How about try a different tact...tell us "What's Next" after all this destruction. Anybody can preach doom and gloom...This begs a thoughtful answer. If you could only read what I have read and have the "vision" that is in my mind, you would see that a much greater work will happen after ALL of this that is coming is over. ALL nations will flow to the NJ and those that remain, will join the Church in droves. The greatest work is about to commence. What we have seen up until now has simply been child's play. It is about to get good. Good and real. Yes, many of the existing (dead wood) members will be destroyed. The new growth on the olive tree will amply make up for what has been lost due to the feller's sword. The axe is about to be laid at the root, folks. Most, who read the blog (except for unrepentant trolls...:), will most likely make it. There will most likely be 20-30% of the existing membership of the Church that makes it. The best of the best. The rest, probably not so much. The missionaries called out right now will be among the backbone of those called to bring the people back to Utah - as Brigham Young said. It will be a glorious return - but one filled with mourning.
All I can say is, get ready. You will experience what the Saints in Nauvoo did - but on steroids. The same logic will prevail. Temples almost done, abandoned and then destroyed. It depends on the faith of the people. The leadership will only be shown how to lead to the capacity of the people to receive the counsel. Except for what is coming, when they (we) are driven like a dumb ass before the master with the whip.
I don't see the blog as doom and gloom. I see it as "it's go time." Think of the calamities not as the end, but rather like a corporation's all-hands meeting with employees, where the Lord introduces new, better policies for accelerated growth. Yes, there will be a reorganization, and some lay-offs, and serious house cleaning. But the thought of having the fullness of the priesthood, more interaction with the other side of the veil, miracles becoming common, and faith increasing excites me. It's like the whole company is getting a big fat promotion, as long as we faithfully execute the new plan according to the boss' will. Yes, it'll be rough and people will die, but goodness will increase as much as the evil, and I look forward to taking a stand and building Zion.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree!
DeleteStill not addressing the main questions...Do you really think that the Lord would have the Church put so much emphasis and effort into all it's programs, media, buildings, training, just to have it all laid to waste? Will all the survivors become "manual laborers" where everybody then has the huge task of rebuilding ALL of civilization? Who will produce the food? Who will clean the water? Who will build the computer systems all the way from the chip manufacturers all the way back up to the internet functioning again? Who will rebuild the power system/grid? What makes NO SENSE is that the Lord would waste all the efforts thus far just to have mankind totally start over FROM SCRATCH, with NOTHING. Talk about a set back! That is NOT moving "the work" forward! This blog speaks tons about destruction, but NOTHING about the plan afterwards other than it will "be glorious" type of thing. If you have so much wisdom about "what's to come", why are you so lacking on the specifics of my questions above and how everything will be "Restored & Rebuilt". Saying, "The lamanites will do it all" doesn't get the job done. Have you for one minute considered that things will go down differerently than you espouse? So many LDS's get caught up in sensationalism. The LDS's write more books and blogs than any other religion on earth because they have wild imaginations. Please share some specifics that directly address my questions. If you can not, then you've just proven my point...That the LDS's have vivid imaginations, that are not doctrinally correct. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure many of the saints who built the Nauvoo Temple asked that same question after they were told to migrate yet again just after its completion. The Temple burned to the ground, and for what? I believe it was a test of faith. Also, our ways are not the Lord's ways. Everything has a purpose under the direction of God. We should not be so quick to question His judgement.
ReplyDeleteThe righteous who are left will be tasked with rebuilding a new world (a millennial world under the reign of Christ). It is my understanding that we will have no need for computer chips or even power grids as all power will come directly from Christ as he dwells on the Earth. Even the most advanced microchip will seem primitive in comparison to God's technology. Everyone will work to rebuild Zion. Christ will organize and direct the work perfectly.
Have a little faith.

ReplyDeleteFirst, your writing comes of as a bit manic. Yelling throughout your comments, then ending with "Thanks." Just plain weird, man.
Second, the Lord isn't going to hold off on his judgments just to preserve a building or two. When God makes kicks off calamities and Tribulation, it'll happen sudden, and he will provide a way for his work to continue. I highly doubt we'll need anything man-made after Tribulation begins. The time is intended to cleanse the world and prepare people to meet the Lord. When his power shows more evidently, are we going to need an internet? Medication? Food? Cars? The point is to teach his children to rely on him for everything. The old world will change, and a new one begins. Everything we're doing now will become pointless in such a new paradigm.
So rather than blathering like an idiot and criticizing people for having an imagination, try getting one of your own.
What many people tend to forget is that the things that have been going on behind the scenes as far as the Church is concerned or the world is concerned.
ReplyDeleteThe anonymous poster that has been a constant troll on this board is thinking that if America falls the work will cease. Not so.
While serving my mission in Mexico, it was reported that Mexico had reached self-sufficiency as far as missionaries were concerned. That means that there are more missionaries from Mexico being called outside of Mexico than there are foreign missionaries entering Mexico. In other words, Mexico has had enough missionaries to staff their missions with pure Mexicans and still have some left over to staff missions outside of Mexico.
That has been the case for ten years. The case is similar in most if not all LATAM countries especially Brazil (which the blog owner can attest to). Even many African countries and countries in Asia are beginning to become self sufficient. There are even congregations being formed in Sierra Leone and Liberia despite the fact that there is NOT A SINGLE FULL TIME MISSIONARY in the region due to the EBOLA outbreak!
It is because the Africans understand that the hastening the work will NOT be done only by the dudes and gals with black name tags with "Elder" or "Sister" written on them. It is to be done by ALL the members. That was what Elder Bednar was talking about yesterday.
If the USA does fall into deep trials, and prophecies state that it will fall into deep trials, the Church will still be able to handle itself through the crisis. It has been preparing itself for such an eventuality and for a long time, stressing the need for missionary service from third world nations, decentralizing the use of Internet (NOT everything the Church has is in SLC or even in the USA)...
We are witnessing the completing of prophecy.
