I saw this when I was in Brazil - the using of the poor peoples in the outlying areas as guinea pigs for drugs being tested for the mass markets in America. They were giving the stuff away for free - even giving small stipends for people to use them, knowing that there would be little backlash if problems occurred. None of the over-the-counter stuff down there required prescriptions as it does here for the same stuff. I seem to remember being struck with the idea that some of the drugs were known not to be safe - though I cannot remember why, at this point.
So I am not surprised that there is an isolated report of this being done in the middle of nowhere in the Phillipines where the people are powerless to stop it or report it. The chips, when tested in the West have been shown to cause cancer locally, so there is a backlash here. Testing of larger groups can be done elsewhere where corruption is rampant and police and judges easily bought with little or no backlash against the instigators.
I have a firm belief that this will happen on a larger scale - and for the first time, comprehend the concept of people fleeing to join the Saints and other faithful Christians who are resisting this. We will have our time, as well, though....

THE NATURE OF THE BEAST
I have "wondered after" what this thing really is (LINK TO REVELATIONS 13:3). A person, a government, an institution?? I have always thought it would be a person based largely on the world's interpretation of the signs given in Revelations Ch 13.
Lately, I have been wondering about the institution angle and wonder if it is not the banking/stock market/money institutions. We truly worship it as a people and hang our lives and our futures on it. I am trying to disconnect myself from that world because I think the pursuit and the interconnectedness of money and our relentless pursuit of it is toxic in our lives and truly is at the root of most of the evils out there. If we would like to participate in these markets (and survive in today's world) you will have to submit to the mark of this thing (probably some kind of electronic chip), etc. Right now, you cannot fly, rent a car, buy gas after hours, pretty much do anything without the plastic and participating in this thing. So much for self-sufficiency and the autonomy and self-determination that is required of all free men so that they may be judged for themselves. We have virtually no freedoms left - and most of this promulgated from (the former) "most free nation on the face of the earth". People are beginning to wake up to their awful situation that they find themselves "occupied" with. Good people will not remain slaves forever....

I can't wait until the Lord comes again. These institutions that seek to get gain from the fortunes and misfortunes of others will come to naught and man will once again live organically off the land relying only on God and His power and goodness to make it through their lives.

You can run, but you cannot hide ... and if you try, one push of a button will cause a lethal poison to immediately begin flowing through your body.
That's the Orwellian future a Saudi inventor was seeking to bring to Germany until that nation's patent office announced last week it was rejecting his request to patent what has been dubbed the "Killer Chip."
The tiny semiconductor device is intended to be surgically implanted or injected into the body, according to the patent application, for the purpose of tracking visitors from other nations by global-positioning satellites and preventing them from overstaying their visas.
A German Patent and Trademark Office spokeswoman told Deutsche Presse Agentur the inventor's application, titled "Implantation of electronic chips in the human body for the purposes of determining its geographical location," was submitted in October 2007 and published 18 months later, as required by law, in a patents database.
Under Germany's patent law, inventions that are unethical or a danger to the public are not recognized.

"In recent times the number of people sought by security forces has increased," the Jeddah-based inventor wrote in his application.

The device would emit encrypted radio waves that would be picked up by satellites and "used to track fugitives from justice, terrorists, illegal immigrants, criminals, political opponents, defectors, domestic help, and Saudi Arabians who don't return home from pilgrimages," Sweden's The Local reported.
The application included a request to patent a model B of the device that could release poison to "eliminate" the individual if he or she became a security risk.
"I apply for these reasons and for reasons of state security and the security of citizens," the statement reads.
German law allows foreigners to apply for patents in the country through a local representative. In the case of the "Killer Chip," a Munich law firm was used.
"Most people apply for a patent in several countries, and this inventor probably did too," Stephanie Krüger of the Patent Office said.
That leaves open the possibility the Saudi inventor will find success in another country.
