EDWARD J. WOOD COMMENTS ABOUT SOLS GUARDISTO

The vision of Sols Guardisto while attending the Cardston, AB temple has driven quite a bit of traffic to this site.  Here is a copy of a letter that Edward Wood (Cardston Temple President) wrote about her:


Edward Wood, who was president of the Cardston Temple for many years, was a witness to the
manifestations of a woman who saw much of the future and mission of the Latter-day Saints.
Although she was not a member of the Church, it has been rumored that she did join the Church
sometime later. This manifestation occurred in March 1922. President Wood answered many
responses to questions about this manifestation, two of which follow:

Dear Brother:
Cardston, Alberta
July 29, 1924
I am pleased to hear from you in your letter of July 21st, and note the contents and also
the enclosure, and in reply, can easily tell you about the letter.
The lady who wrote the letter came twice, as she states, to the Temple, and certainly
seemed quite sincere in all questions she asked, and gave very marked respect and attention to the
explanations of the objects for which the Temple was built, and went from room to room-of
course, the interior was then unfinished-and she was evidently deeply interested in what she heard
and saw, and asked many questions both about the Temple proper and also about the principles
leading up to our views on Temple building, and she asked a great many questions about our
views of the life after death, and was much taken up with our belief on divine authority, and Our
missionary activities throughout the world; and before she got through her second visit, she had a
very fair understanding of the “vitality of Mormonism" from many angles.
She had some friends or a relative of some members of the church in Lethbridge by the
name of Brown, and she lived somewhere east of here. After she had been away for some time,
she wrote this article as you have it to Mr. Brown, one of these friends or relatives in Lethbridge,
and he sent a copy to me, and of course we were surprised and pleased with her "impressions"
and her apparent understanding of many of our views.
That is about the history of this article.

SOLS GUARDISTO VISION REVISITED

This has been on my mind as of late. Sols is just one of several sources of the prophetic utterances talking of massive race rioting on the American continent. I think of Joseph Smith who said the second Civil War would start in Chicago in what (was then) a very small town (smaller than Nauvoo at the time, where the statement was uttered), but would then grow into a large city and would be the source of the beginning of the conflict that would embroil America. I have driven in West Chicago and was appalled at the conditions of the people and the vastness of the ghettos. I was told by a friend that South Chicago down into Gary, Indiana was far worse than West Chicago - and the thought was sobering. People who have nothing to lose due to poverty and the lack of opportunity (whatever the source) will finally have all they can take and just break out at the first provocation. We are seeing a fore-taste of it with the vigilante/self-defense killing of Treyvon Martin in Florida.

We are sitting on a powder keg - and it could blow at any time. And I am not just talking about race relations. I am talking about the Middle East and a whole host of situations, folks. The little Dutch boy is stuffing his finger in the hole in the dike - but the leak appears to be getting bigger and full tide is coming in.....

I would have said the same thing, had I been aware of the situation in 1968 - and here we are 48 years later - but something has got to give.....

Here is a snippet of the Sols vision from the Cardston Temple:

I saw the international world war automatically break down, and national revolutions occur in every country and complete the work of chaos and desolation. I saw geological disturbances occur, which helped in this work as if it were intended to do so. I saw the Cardston Temple preserved from all this geological upheaval. I saw the international boundary line disappear as these two governments broke up and dissolved into chaos. I saw race rioting upon this American continent on a vast scale.

I saw hunger and starvation in this world granary of the American continent sweep off vast numbers of the conflicting elements. I saw disease produced by hunger, strife, and chaos complete the end of this present order or epoch…"

So, how is that food storage coming along??

MAX SOLAR FLARE EVENT - ELENIN-RELATED?

I am keen to stay abreast of these things. Just had an M-class event last week. This one was the strongest possible - an X-class event. Up until I read this article, I did not know that there was something stronger than an M-class flare:

I expect to see a rapid escalation of these kinds of things as Elenin approaches with the culmination occurring the end of September into November when the crud hits the oscillator. Very interesting stuff!

Also, the global financial meltdown is right on schedule for this October timeframe. Man, am I ever jittery on all these events occurring at the same time. According to Sols Guardisto, the economic, social and natural disasters would all come together into a perfect crescendo as if they were designed to bring the collapse about..... Um, I am seeing this all occurring in unison to create the perfect storm this Fall.

Thank goodness I am not a "doom and gloomer".....

In the last year we have had at least 2 Sundays (sacrament) dedicated to preparedness. Usually the fifth Sunday. These topics are also discussed from time to time in Sunday School and Priesthood. We have an active dry pack program as well as there are various groups of people in this area that bring in bulk amounts of every thing from lentils to coconut oil to Five gallon pails and lids, etc.. Generally speaking we are in the mind set to be prepared. There is even one Stake 2 hours north of us that has over 90% of active members with a 2 year supply. In our community we have an emergency plan as the community is about 85% LDS. Last month we had a dentist come in from the southern states to do a 2 day emergency dental course. My family owns their own #10 dry pack canning machine. The stake has members in every ward assigned to the communication team for emergencies who are ham operators. There are other things going on as well. In a nut shell this is a good area.

STL: I Live in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. Approx. 50 minutes north of the US border on Interstate 15. The population is about 3,500 of which 85% is LDS. There is one stake and 9 wards in the Town. We are located 30 minutes from the Cardston Temple and about 20 minutes from a city of 125,000. Another interesting fact is that Raymond is the birth place of Cleon Skousen. If you move now you will still be in the same country when the Lord comes as I don't think the borders will mean too much. To answer your question about military, one of my neighbors is a retired colonel from the Army. Good man. We share a common military alliance with the US. I believe that we are in a particularly good location being some what distanced from large cities, nuclear facilities, etc.. One of the benefits is that there is lots of space, natural resources, LDS communities. I would describe Alberta as Mountains on the west, plains on the east, Forests on the North 2 thirds. A strong conservative attitude with a vibrant economy and a solid work ethic. Kind of the Texas of the north, only more space. There have been many dreams and prophetic statements from local leaders over the years indicating that this area will be a place of refuge and that many will come from the north and the south for safety. When I get get a chance I will try to source some out for you.

GLOBAL CHAOS AND SOLS GUARDISTO'S VISION

Sols Guardisto had an interesting vision that I came across after an unusual set of circumstances. My wife and I had been in Utah for some sort of family function and we had been told about how beautiful the Flathead Valley area was by someone we trusted in her family. They were from Jackson Hole, WY and said Kalispell was beautiful....

I was all ears - and we were in the market for some land at the time that we could afford to build on and get completely out of debt (before I really got as radical as I am now). So, with no kids in tow on that trip, we decided to head north up I-15 and go check it out.

As we were driving into the valley at the north end of the lake, I told my wife as I pointed to Glacier National Park, "If we decide to live here, one day we will have to cross those mountains on foot and join the Saints over in Cardston, AB" (much like the VonTrapps crossed the Alps on foot - and I later found out that the kids incidentally settled in that very valley - weird, huh?). My statement was truly random and I surprised myself when I said it. It made an impression on me and I mentioned it to my bishop back home who is/was very preparedness minded - to which he said, "Oh, you will be very interested in what I have about the Cardston Temple." Next time I saw him he handed me a copy of the Sols Guardisto vision. I thought it was pretty odd stuff - but it did mention the Saints gathering to Cardston in their tribulation - and that it would be free from the geological upheavals that I have since come to believe will surely come upon us.

Anyone that knows the history of Glacier National Park knows that the mountains that are about 25 miles deep were chaotically piled up there in about two weeks - and that according to the geologists that claim it takes millions of years for anything to form (and I would include with that - an intelligent thought in their clouded minds....). I have since come to the conclusion that the reason that we will have to go on foot is that the roads/bridges, etc will be so broken as to be impassable by vehicle. For some time, I thought it would be due to lack of fuel and social breakdown - but I now discount that in light of what geological upheaval I think may be coming - which aligns with what Sols had to say:

The then Temple President, Edward J Wood submitted it to Church leadership at the time and they put their stamp of approval on the vision even though Sols was not a member of the Church at the time she had the vision during the Temple open house. We are in for some very interesting times ahead! Buckle up!

If I had to choose a place to be during the next massive earthquake, it would be on the eastern front of the Rockies near a large body of Saints and above 2500 feet elevation and away from anything that represents a fault line.... Denver is out, so is anyplace in Wyoming, so I am stuck with Eastern Montana just south of the border.... Giddyup!

VISION OF SOLS GUARDISTO - COMING HUMANITARIAN DISASTER

This is a vision of Sols Guardisto written to President Woods of the Cardston, Alberta Temple (Pres Woods is not related to me - the Northern Utah Wood line:


Mrs. Sols Guardisto was one of the 50,000 people who toured the Cardston Temple prior to its dedication in 1923. While in the temple she had a very unusual experience, which is told below as she wrote to President Wood of the Cardston Temple. She was not a member of the Church at the time, but she has since joined.

"We have been to the temple erected by your church, wherin the sacred rites are to be performed in accordance with your faith. The first time I was strongly impelled to describe to you my impressions.

It seemed as though the Temple was filled with the actual spiritual bodies of these previous leaders of the

Church, each seeming to have a definite work to do, automatically taking up in the spirit world the work that person was engaged in whilst in the flesh. In that Temple I saw persons who were leaders of your Church, during its march across the American Desert, now engaged in helping those patriarchs under whose orders they seemed to be working. It was these leaders of your Church, or spiritual leaders, if I may use that term, who seemed instructed to show me the scenes here recorded.

I can give no time as to the happenings except that the impressions I received were of the actual present or immediate future.

I saw first a brief but comprehensive sketch of the present state of the world, or, as you would term it, the Gentile Kingdom. Each country in turn was shown its anarchy, hunger, ambitions, distrusts, and warlike activities, etc., and in my mind was formed from some source the words, "As it is today with the Gentiles."

I saw next international war break out with its center upon the Pacific Ocean, but sweeping and encircling the whole glove. I saw that the opposing forces were roughly divided by so-called Christianity on one side, and by the so-called followers of Mohammed and Buddha upon the other. I saw the great driving power within these so-called Christian Nations was the Great Apostasy in all its political, social, and religious aspects. I saw the world-wide dislocation and devastation of production and slaughter of people occur more swiftly and upon a larger scale than ever before. I saw an antagonism begin to express itself from those so-called Christian nations against your people. I saw those of a similar faith to yours in the Far East begin to look toward Palestine for safety.

I saw the international world war automatically break down, and national revolutions occur in every country and complete the work of chaos and desolation. I saw geological disturbances occur, which helped in this work as if it were intended to do so. I saw the Cardston Temple preserved from all this geological upheaval. I saw the international boundary line disappear as these two governments broke up an dissolved into chaos. I saw race rioting upon this American continent on a vast scale.

Mrs. Guardisto goes on to describe the preparations allegedly made by the future Church leaders to endure catastrophic conditions in the world.

"I saw Cardston and the surrounding foothills, especially West and North, for miles being prepared for a refuge for your people, quietly but quickly.

I saw artesian wells bored and other wells dug all over that territory, so that when the open waters were polluted and poisoned, the people of the Church and their cattle would be provided for. I saw the fuel resources of the district developed in many places, and vast piles of coal and timbers stored for future use and building.

I saw the elders, still under divine guidance, counseling and encouraging the planting of every available acre of soil in this district, so that large supplies could be near the refuge. I saw the Church property under cultivation of an intensified character, not for sale or profit, but for the use of the people. I saw the inspired officers giving instructions as to what would be the best crops to plant and cultivate, not for profit but for use in storage at the time of chaos. I saw the territory carefully surveyed and mapped out for the camping of a great body of people of the Church. I saw provisions also made for a big influx of people who at present do not belong to the Church, but who will gather in their tribulation. I saw inspiration given the elders whereby the quality, quantity, and kind of things to be stored were judged, which might not be attainable in this territory during the time of chaos.."

More to come on visions of the future of massive refuge camps located in the Eastern foothills of the Oquirrhs - camps covering tens of square miles. I believe this to be the prime reason we have been commanded to have a food supply - to absorb the short term crisis of millions of people overloading basic
