 I have always wondered what this would be.

The really ugly start to CW1.0 was Fort Sumpter, but the very first true shot was fired at Harper’s Ferry, so I am careful to box events in a preconceived construct.

Interesting possibility here:

Didn’t Joseph Smith prophesied that America would have a second civil war and it would start in Chicago? If so, what are the chances that the Democratic National Convention will be the catalyst for this? The convention is in Chicago August 19-22 2024. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

GREAT DEPRESSION COMING

 Folks, this prophetic utterance is clear on so many levels:

 This is a blog post to remember that my sister (the fifth of 8 children) passed to the other side this past Sunday.  It was a very sad thing, because there were unresolved issues there involving three people (myself included) over four decades ago.

Because of the sensitive nature of the problem that was embarrassing for .625, she refused to acknowledge her part in the fiasco and even threw me under the bus, maligning my name and threatening (classic gaslighting) to plow anyone else under who brought this up.  This included another sibling that was there and acknoweledged my version of events, despite a rigorous attempt by most of the rest of the family posse who sided with 5 of 8, to make me out for a liar, bad of memory, etc etc.  This in spite of the fact that there was someone else there who was willing to go to bat for me and lay any questions to bed.

Fact is this:  few, if any, care for the truth - unless it is convenient for them and will benefit them.  In fact, in analyzing the events over the last few days, my wife and I came to the conclusion that, in fact, secret combinations can and do exist even at the family level.  The mechanics of it are basic - and their main goal and design is to get gain (either financially or socially) and to get one person or a group of people above the other.  And so I have experienced this at a level I had never before thought possible; a micro-secret combination, of sorts.

And this is the beginning of how it pervades society.  It must start in the family and spread like an insidious cancer from family to family, from organ to organ until it permeates governments and everything in society.  The only ones that can shield themselves from it are those who simply stand on principle and principle alone and who make a conscious effort not to partake.  These are the few who will make it into the Millennium.

So, all unresolved bad juju will have to be taken care of on the other side if it is not resolved over here.  If serious enough, that person will be damned in their progression, until that thing is resolved.

MY LOVE AND APPRECIATION FOR ELDER HOLLAND - A SHRED ON THE DoC CROWD

 My wife and I were blessed to be able to both attend the open house and the recent dedication of the St George temple.  What an amazing building and what an amazing testament to those who struggled in the heat, the swampy conditions and in their poverty to make that southern Utah blessing a reality.  

As President Holland is from St George and was sealed to his recently departed wife along with 5 generations of Hollands having work done there, etc.  Elder Holland invited his son to bear his testimony, which was lovely.  What a legacy to fall back on!  I revere all who have sacrificed and served in that building.  Those also, who have visited and implored that their ordinances be completed.

Now, for my roast of those who cry against this work and call out sin where there is none.  Firstly, Brigham Young and those who built the building.  Many of them were involved in plurality of wives at the time.  Only the most stalwart members were called into that practice.  Only the most stalwart and hardy men and women were called to settle the bleak and remote areas of the American frontier.  Many of these converts were there in Nauvoo and some practiced at the direction of Joseph Smith.  Any cover up of activities at the time would have been to preserve the nascent church (bride) from further damage and outfall from a confession to that practice.  Things were already difficult in a Victorian climate where chastity/virtue was feigned, while living lasciviously in private.  As Brigham Young opined, "At least my other women are out in the open, while those who oppress me slink about in the dark alleys of the Capitol, unbeknownst to their wives..."

After hearing the heartfelt testimonies during the dedication, I could not help but think of the DoC crowd who, in their hatred of polygamy, would throw Brigham and all of those faithful Saints, under the bus.  As I looked on the countenance of Elder Holland and thought of his dedication to the work, my thoughts could not help but wander to the diminutive accusers and ask the question, "Where is thy glory, that I should (follow) thee?".  The fact is, there is no comparison - even to several orders of magnitude.  The accusers are shallow of Spirit and have nowhere close to the works that "Brigham's Church" has accomplished in taking the gospel forward to every nation, kindred, tongue and people - which the Savior declared was a solid requirement before He could return in judgment prior to His coming in glory.  And "by their fruits, ye shall know them"!

The proof is in the pudding, folks!  Yet, I still see a few get picked off by the wiles of the forked tongues of the DoC crowd.

The wolves shall reap what they sow, so help me God.  I will see to it either in this life or the next.

OPPOSITION TO THE WORK

 Attack on Heber C. Kimball

Wilford Woodruff writes: "The very day we entered that house it was filled with evil spirits, who sought to destroy us. We felt their power day after day. They did not particularly injure us at that time, but we knew they were with us. The incident that I am going to refer to now occurred after Brother Kimball had returned to Manchester. 

 

"Brother George A. Smith and myself were left there. We sat up one night till about 11 o'clock, talking about the Gospel of Christ, and then went to bed. The room in which we slept was small; there was about three and a half feet between our cots. Those spirits were gathered together in that room and sought to destroy us. They fell upon us with the determination to take our lives. 

 

"The distress, the suffering and the horror that rested upon me I never experienced neither before nor since. While in this condition a spirit said to me, "Pray to the Lord." Well, a man in that kind of warfare, when he is choking almost to death, is in a peculiar position to pray.  Nevertheless I went to praying with all the power I had. I knew we would die unless God opened some door for our deliverance, because we were being choked to death, and I prayed the Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, to preserve our lives.

 

"While I was praying, the door opened and three messengers entered, and the room was filled with light equal to the blazing light of the sun at mid-day. Those messengers were all dressed in the robes of immortal beings. Who they were I know not. They laid hands upon me and my companion, and rebuked those evil powers, and we were saved. From that hour to this day, not only our lives were saved, but those powers were rebuked by the angels of God so that no Elder since has been tormented with them in London."

 

Heber C. Kimball writes: "I had been sleeping on the back of the bed. I immediately arose, slipped off at the foot of the bed, and passed around to where he [Elder Russell] was. Elder Hyde threw his feet out, and sat up in the bed, and we laid hands on him, I being mouth, and prayed that the Lord would have mercy on him, and rebuke the devil. 

 

"While thus engaged, I was struck with great force by some invisible power, and fell senseless on the floor. The first thing I recollected was being supported by Elders Hyde and Richards who were praying for me, Elder Richards having followed Russell up to my room. Elders Hyde and Richards then assisted me to get on the bed, but my agony was so great I could not endure it, and I arose, bowed my knees and prayed.

 

"I then arose and sat up on the bed, when a vision was opened to our minds, and we could distinctly see the evil spirits, who foamed and gnashed their teeth at us. We gazed upon them about an hour and a half (by Willard's watch). We were not looking towards the window,but towards the wall. Space appeared before us, and we saw the devils coming in legions, with their leaders, who came within a few feet of us. They came towards us like armies rushing to battle. They appeared to be men of full stature, possessing every form and feature of men in the flesh, who were angry and desperate; and I shall never forget the vindictive malignity depicted on their countenances as they looked me in the eye; and any attempt to paint the scene which then presented itself or portray their malice and enmity, would be vain.

 

"I perspired exceedingly, my clothes becoming as wet as if I had been taken out of the river. I felt excessive pain, and was in the greatest distress for some time. I cannot even look back on the scene without feelings of horror; yet by itI learned the power of the adversary, his enmity against the servants of God, and got some understanding of the invisible world. We distinctly heard these spirits talk and express their wrath and hellish designs against us. However, the Lord delivered us from them, and blessed us exceedingly that day."

 

When he returned home Heber C. Kimball asked the Prophet, Joseph Smith, "What was the matter of us? What had we done that we had to be submitted to such an experience?" 

 

Joseph responded, "Brother Heber, at that time you were nigh unto the Lord; there was only a veil between you and him, but you could not see him. When I heard of it, it gave me great joy, for I then knew that the work of God had taken root in that land. It was this that caused the devil to make a struggle to kill you. The nearer a person approaches the Lord, a greater power will be manifested by the adversary to prevent the accomplishment of his purposes."

THE THREE HARVESTS - THE BARLEY, THE WHEAT AND THE GRAPES (OF WRATH)....

 I was chit-chatting with a new-found friend over dinner a few days ago and he brought up the three different harvests.  They all could be 21 years long when added together (about 1/2 year of silence long) and this addition of harvests would make my timeline all make sense (for once).

What if each one were a separate 7 year period?  If each one contained a first part of 3.5 years, followed by a second part of 42 months plus an additional 45 days, with the last one being the most grievous.  

I am no thrashing expert, but apparently barley is EASY to remove the grain from the stalks and husks that hold it to the stem.   Wheat, not so much and it takes a stronger thrashing to dislodge it, as well as the fact that there are tares mixed in with it (what we are seeing now with the DoC, etc).  The third, which would theoretically start around 2027 would be a crushing event (few would survive it).

Around  March 22, 2013 the barley harvest started with the ceasing of the sacrifice in Jerusalem among the Samaritans that performed it yearly since the days of Christ.  It ended about 7 years later with the advent of the wheat harvest and the scamdemic, where it was all ratcheted up a level and included the closing of the temples (ceasing of the sacrifice) among the other tribes (Ephraim).  The mid-point was ushered in with the start of the war in the Middle East when the goons invaded from Gaza.

My guess is that the grape harvest will begin about March 2027 with something to do with the Anti-Christ taking power in Jerusalem and something to do with the temple there having ceased it's normally appointed function as it is desecrated by the Usurper. 

I still have to take all this and vet it against scripture, but I think this is correct. 

My friend and I both agree that Christ will come about April 2033AD, at the end of the Grape Harvest (having fully trodden the winepress).  See how all the imagery comes together?  The timing is perfect, the proposed narrative (story line) is amazing with all things fitting in and finally I can rest knowing that the Spirit has led me aright in all the stops and starts I have had over the years.

What is the Spirit telling you now with what was written above?

JESUS WAS BAD TO THE BONE, BUT HUMBLE

 Last Sunday we talked of heroes.  Mine are any of those who buck the system.  This seems to be the bar for passing the Millennial test - in that we tell the beast system to go to hell where it belongs, where most of the world just cozies up like Beauty did…

Jesus bucked the corrupt system, but kept the proscribed portion of the Law perfectly, as He was the author of it.  He rejected the pomp, the outward displays, but was diligent in what mattered.  He neither went too far (beyond the mark), nor did He fall short.  He nailed it and showed us the way.

This is our goal.  Not the fluffy platitudes we are dosed with over the pulpit in a state-controlled manner, but real examples of manliness combined with meekness and faith.

This is the Washingtonian model that they do not want you to emulate, for the Priesthood would rise up and throw

A DREAM ENTRY - ABILITY TO MOVE ABOUT AS A TRANSLATED BEING

This is more of a journal entry than anything.  No doctrine here; just musings.

For years, I have had dream scenarios where I can fly or move through space just by the power of thought.  Those have always been my favorite dreams.  I do not move quickly, but can will myself to overcome the elements.

More recently, I have been having dreams where I have been able to breathe under water.  I do not like water, so that was a little freaky to learn to do, but I overcame my natural inhibitions and was able to successfully do it.  A few nights ago, I was able to begin to move through objects.  Very cool feeling.  I just had to will myself to do it, just as with overcoming gravity and other corporeal confines that we have become accustomed to.  In this dream state, I was so interested in showing this ability to others.  A few had faith and, upon seeing us working on our newly-acquired skills, were able to experience these abilities for themselves.

Some of my earliest memories as a young child were of extraordinary abilities that, over time, were batted down by skeptical adults.  I really feel that we come to this earth trailing glory and with great knowledge and power that are all dulled and inactivated over time until we are just a fraction of what we once were (but with a body).

Soon, we will have that experience.  We have no conception of how glorious the terrestrial existence will be!

MORE PERSPECTIVE ON THE END TIMES SERVANTS - AND TIMING OF EVERYTHING

 So, some of the buzz about a couple that basically kidnapped (took a minor against his parents' wishes) to Alaska because they were obviously caught up in the fervor of what is going on over in Israel etc, apparently touched on Cardston.  I heard rumor they had passed through paradise on their drive north to Alaska, where they were apprehended (not sure what the charges would be for chasing an endtime fantasy - or reality).

Anyway, it was just another attempt (warranted or unwarranted) to make people who believe in any of that stuff look like crazytown ghetto dwellers.  The rabid anti's of the Dhellin Show have been doubling down on anyone who believes in the Davidic Servant mentioned in all of the major works other than the PoGP.  His role will be to divide up the inheritances in the New and Old Jerusalem (among other things such as setting things in proper order).  There is a ton of speculation as to who that will be and exactly what will go on to bring about that reign.  Here is a great comment by Arnold about this:

The last days events may read like they are happening all at once but they are not. It is a process. A process designed to bring as many to repentance. So many of our members I see slipping, seemingly so easily deceived by the philosophies of the day, anti-Morman lit . Gaining of knowledge is not the issue, but of discerning truth without blindly accepting the establishment story.

I diverge, but I don't see any great destruction in Israel until the 3rd Temple is built. Joel Skousen's see's a strong potential of a chain of events leading from tit for tat building up to a nuclear event if all Islamic nations corner Israel. Joel sees a logical course of events minus God's management, which no one knows. I suspect we may see Israel actually acquire more land to within the boundries of ancient Israel. That could mean the West. Bank and parts of other Mid east countries.

I have to disagree with Arnold on this.  I think we still have a LONG way to go until things start to tie up like the Saints being persecuted in a wholesale manner.  I note that a chapel in Elko NV was recently burned to the point that they had to move congregations around while the burned building was being reconstructed.  Not sure if it was the temple announcement that brought that on, but there is consistent low-level animus towards the Church being manifested around the world.  Not dissimilar to what the Jews are experiencing.  The only difference being that the Church just sucks it up and absorbs it...

Here is the timeline that started in 2015:

• three apostles would die in quick succession
• President Monson would die around 18 months later
• Elder Nelson would become the next Prophet
• one of his counselors would be Elder Oaks (all of the above has come about)

 Here is what happens shortly:

• President Nelson does not die a natural death (of old age)
• Elder Holland is one of the two Witnesses that passes away in Jerusalem as the armies of the world descend on Israel

In order for that last one to come about, we have a very frail man who must still accomplish very amazing things over the next 3.5 years until he passes and the world celebrates.

I think we are much closer.  Within 3-7 years of the grand finale in Jerusalem.  Possibly within the 1335 days spoken of.

We will see...

WHO IS JOHN GALT? ATLAS SHRUGGED PART III

 As the spark of the Republic dims, this should be played in every theatre.  A little cheesy on the acting and the plot, but amazing to contemplate as the blood suckers suck the life out of America and the world.  My financial guru buddy just let me know that there likely will be no buyers for the US Treasuries in the November 2023 auction.  Thus, they will just end up printing ridiculous amounts of money and steal by fiat and inflation.  A loaf of bread used to be $1.25 and it is now $2.50 for the crap bread.

Ayn Rand was a prophetess in her own right when she extrapolated out what would happen to those in the Soviet system.  Why try?  It will get you nowhere because it will just get taken from you by greedy and often ruthless people who have given themselves the power to destroy by taking what is not theirs.

IN THE CLAMPER? 1290 VS 1335 DAYS?

 I got this very interesting comment from Ceci:

        The Hebrew Bible translated from the chabad.org reads the following: Daniel 12:11-13.

11. And from the time the daily sacrifice was removed and the silent abomination placed, is one thousand, two hundred, and ninety.

12. Fortunate is he who waits and reaches days of one thousand, three hundred, and thirty-five.

13. And you, go to the end, and you will rest and rise to your lot at the end of the days.

The Hebrew version is a little bit different than the King James one.

If 1290 days on Oct-7th, then "Fortunate is he who waits and reaches" Nov-21-23 or 1335 days????? Thoughts?

Interesting in that it talks about "placing" something.  To me, you "place" a bomb or a device that might release a biological agent.

If Iran or Russia or China has one of those, now might be the time to "place" it from a strategic standpoint, while there is still chaos going on.  When I think of an abomination, I think of nuclear devastation - but a "silent abomination" might be setting something that is more of a silent killer like a plague that spreads with a latent release where you only discover that death is imminent a week or more after initial release or transmission.  If the symptoms manifest themselves too early on, it is easier to find patient zero and get all of those infected into a quarantine scenario.

With symptoms manifesting two weeks on, or more, it would be impossible to trace the spread back to patient zero.

Very interesting development.  I guess we will have to wait until Thanksgiving to see what is going on in the Turkish deptartment and whether someone has once again put the harm in pharmacy...

Either way, Jesus just needs to get here to put all wickedness under His feet.

I feel like there is no going back - only forward and it will get much more ugly before it gets better.  Just when things were going so well on so many fronts in my life and with things in general; so sad.  But it must be so.  Only a Savior can smooth this all out.

So nasty what they did.  They hate Israel because they hate God.  They are part of God's chosen fold as children of Abraham, but they list to obey the promptings of satan.  People never learn....  So sad.  Thus the repitition of history over and over and over....  It truly must weary our Father, even though it is part of the plan to segregate those who are spiritually attuned from those who are not capable of it (separation of sheep from goats, wheat and tares, the test of this life, etc etc).  And so it goes.

The secret of this life on this fallen orb is just to know when and where to get the hell out of the way.  The prophecies are literally coming about before our eyes.  So, knowing that it is upon us and knowing that few will remain or remain unscathed from it's effects, the secret is to become holy and then to surround ourselves with holy people.  The highest concentrations possible.  When this is achieved, God will intervene on our behalf.  This has always been the object of God's plan.  Separate out a people and then give them the tools to help them to self-purify that He could take a remnant (small portion) to Himself.  From the days of Enoch, to Melchizedek to those who fled Jerusalem in Jesus' day to those who will be spared to make it to the holy city of the New Jerusalem, it has always been the same.  A filtering and concentrating event and then an ascension to a higher (terrestrial order) where no crime is present, where no man or woman is esteemed above another and where the terrestrial Law of Consecration is lived and people held/hold all things in common and were of one heart and of one mind.  In today's fragmented society (the rich living in gated communities to isolate themselves from those of lesser station), this is not possible.  The only thing to do is to break the economic back of the existing system and, in the chaos and depravity of the collapse, all will become part of the same plane and will have to labor together in love and mutual appreciation, regardless of class/status/station.

Right now, I have a daughter who is basically homeless.  The wealthy look down on her and she despises them for her treatment at their hands.  The police harass her (often hoping to drive her along so a new jurisdiction can deal with her mental illness and the economic and social costs associated with that treatment).  This is kind of the last thing you would find in a terrestrial system.  In the perfect system, those with the means would abase themselves (voluntarily) and live modestly while giving of their time and resources to lend a hand downward to those who struggle in the classes below them.  Each person giving of what they can until all are cared for and basic needs are met.  This is done without compulsion or taxation or force.  It is done through Christ-like charity and compassion.  First on the family level, then on a neighborhood level and so on.  Our current system is about as far from that as it gets, but it will all be put in perspective soon enough.

We can be part of that system if we but live for it.

THE FATE OF LYMAN WIGHT

 Interesting historical perspective:

Lyman Wight tried to build a temple and to lead a group of followers away from the Utah Saints. Brigham Young prophesied warned him against it as he needed to stay United to with the other Apostles.

God destroyed Lyman Wight’s temple with a flood and what he is only known today by his evil works.

Brigham Young’s Fulfilled Prophecy Regarding Lyman Wight

On November 9, 1848, Brigham Young assigned two missionaries to find Lyman Wight’s colony in Texas and instruct them to gather to Utah. On that occasion, Brigham instructed them “to go and hunt up Lyman Wight. We want to know what he is doing… Learn his purposes and intentions, and if he does not come up right soon, the spirit of the Lord will say, ‘Clip the thread and he will go down at once’.” (Mel Johnson, Polygamy on the Pedernales page 120)

This Prophecy was quickly fulfilled. Even though Lyman Wight and his people had completed a small temple in February 1849, by Spring 1851 massive flooding forced them to permanently abandon their colony and temple in Zodiac. Other events that followed resulted in most of the Colony separating from Wight. By 1858 Lyman Wight decided to abandon Texas to return to Jackson County, Missouri with the few followers he had left. However, he died the day after they left, on March 31, 1858.

THE 1290 DAY PERIOD

 From the day that the sacrifice was ceased when the temples were closed due to the scamdemic to the day that the war started in Israel is exactly 1290 days.  Three and one half years.  They just closed the Jerusalem Center with students to finish studies in Greece.

We are about to see the two Prophets in the streets.  The only thing I am curious about is who is the second person who dies there and how exactly it will go down compared to what has been built up in my mind based on books and scriptures I read as a kid.

So fascinating.  In the end; God wins.  And so do His chosen people.  They will be there when Jesus comes in power and glory to rescue the Jews from those forces who have gathered to annihilate them.

I guarantee you have not heard many of these prophecies.  One of my favorite new ones was the one about the Mexican War and those who were among the Carthage Greys who were killed by friendly fire, just as Joseph Smith predicted.  Intense.

Joseph Smith was humble as a lamb, but absolutely bad to the bone when it came to those who decided to  become his enemies.  They ALL paid a price and he let them know (fairly) what their fate would be for stabbing the Saints in the back.  Same as with Jesus' detractors.  You cannot mess with holy people and not walk away unscathed.  Even if it is on God's timeline and not immediate.  Truly fascinating!

It ended with an OP Rockwell story.  Too good to not spend the time listening.  I wish they would have cut the "rapper dude" commentary and just let the guest speak - but oh well.  I will look for other videos of the author of this book.  His countenance is radiant - one of the best I have ever seen.  He is a righteous Lamanite.

THE PSALMS 83 PROPHECY - AND THE CURRENT DECLARATION OF WAR BY ISRAEL

But, I think this is now going on in earnest.  I know Netanyahu is pissed off and will likely flatten everything down in the Gaza Strip and if it is alive, it will be wiped out here shortly.  They have already issued the warning for the women and children to flee the Strip.  Things are about to get real.  The 14 story HQ building for the terror groups was just a hole in the ground.  An amazing picture and they may have used a bunker buster to get anything underground.  Utter destruction.

And the asshats from Harvard declared any response by Israel as unjust....  Sheesh....  Let's see, a place fires rockets on a semi regular basis into my country and then murders innocent women and children often at point blank (not errant fire, etc - but intentional murder) and then the expectation is to do nothing?  If I were in charge, I would be contemplating wiping out ANY sign of life in the sector so that no response could ever come from there in the future.  Sucks to be them...

They crossed a line.  Like much of what is coming across our southern border, what is going on in Gaza is intentional and is simply the enemies of Israel seeking to wipe them out.  My only surviving son used to play with bees.  Yellow jackets and others.  He used to be fascinated with insects.  One day, he was stung by several and he went from being fascinated by them, to deciding to hunt the lot of them down.  He wiped them out to the last one after he discovered their underground nest.

I just laughed at his response.  But I would have the same response to the Hamas vermin firing rockets into populated centers in Tel Aviv, etc  It is one thing for armed struggle to target the places of armed force - but as soon as they start going after innocents, the gloves come off and it is extermination time.  Had the Japanese bombed something other than a military target during WWII, my opinion of them would be different.  But, they followed a logical protocol for a wartime footing - therefore, I am (for the most part) fine with what they did considering much of their history (at least as far as we go, I cannot speak for Nanking and Manchuria...).  I just watched a documentary on how the USA firebombed Tokyo (and then there was the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki).  It will be a very interesting time when all things are put in a proper perspective by a Just God.  We humans are a very messy lot - and I am sure cringe-worthy from a Godly perspective...

LISTENING TO ANGELIC BEINGS

The following is a story from the personal journal of Canute Peterson, my 2nd great grandfather who was the first Stake President and Patriarch for over 20 years in Ephraim Utah until his passing in 1902. He also helped found Snow College and a leader building the Manti Temple. He knew Joseph, and convinced many Scandinavian saints to follow Brigham and not others claiming authority. 

Recently, when President Nelson was dedicating the ground for the Ephraim temple, he asked if there were any descendants of Canute Peterson and no one raised their hand in the audience. However, I gladly raised my hand at home as he said, then do your family history! Which made me smile. May we always remember when we partner with the Lord, all things are possible!

While Canute was serving a 7-year mission in Norway in 1853, testifying boldly of our Savior Jesus Christ he wrote:

"It was now my duty to return [from Denmark] to Christiania [Norway] – my field of labor.

The winter was very severe and the harbor of Copenhagen was frozen out  for miles.

 

The Brethren therefore suggested that I return through Sweden. Having no  money, I would have been obliged to walk the whole way. This would have  been hundreds of miles through deep snow, and the weather was very severe.

 

The thought of this journey made me feel very low spirited and downcast,  and I went down to the hall where the Saints were staying to try to cheer up.

About 9 o’clock while I was enjoying myself, I felt a heavy hand strike me  on the shoulder from behind. On turning around to my astonishment I saw  that it was Captain Thoreson [of a shipping vessel].

He told me what had happened, and why he  came for me. He said, “The next morning after you and your company had left me, I was lying in my [bed].

To my great astonishment, I saw a very fine looking man standing on the floor. He was drest in white, and his clothes were of peculiar fashion. He  called me by name. He then said, “Go to Copenhagen and get my servant, Canute Peterson and take him back with you to Norway.” He then  disappeared.

[I did not.] Evening came and we were still not loaded [to go].

“The next morning when I awoke it was broad daylight and I hastened to  dress myself. While sitting on the edge of the [bed] to put on my stockings,  I looked up, and there before me stood that same person. “He raised his  hand and pointing to me said, Captain Thoreson if you do not go to  Copenhagen and get my servant Canute Peterson, you will surely be  wrecked and lose your life.” Then he vanished. 

 

Canute: Now we sailed in sight of shore until nightfall... [However] the vessel could not be turned against the the wind as we  desired. Then we had to turn opposite way, which all the time brought us  nearer and nearer the shore. And we soon found that we were in great  danger of being dashed to pieces.

Realizing our great danger, I went down into the cabin and tried to offer up a  word of prayer. I came up on the deck, and still our condition was very  precarious. After a few moments I returned to pray again, and this time my  prayer was answered.  

When I came on deck, the Captain, being fully aware that I had been praying  said, “This time it helped, for see, the wind is coming from the shore.” A  very favorable breeze now helped us to pass this dangerous point, and on we  sailed toward our destination without any further hindrance or delay.

When everything became pleasant the Captain said, “Now I can see where  the danger laid, and I think where my grave would have been if I had  disobeyed!”

GOD OVER ANYTHING

I got into it with a pro-rainbow lady on FB who a "Latter-day Aint".  Her profile is full of rainbow flags, etc.  I had a co-worker from SLC that left the Church a few years ago over the vackseen thing as well as her support for a "lesbian" daughter.  She was looking for an excuse.  I told her so and asked her how she will deny the Book of Mormon's witness - and she cut off communication with me.  No one likes the truth.  Her downward trajectory was also started with her husband's need for medical marijuana for some intense back pain he was in after a botched surgery.  He was looking for an excuse and then took down his wife.  Very sad.

Here is the bottom line: God cares only about our obedience to Him.  Not to our wives, our children, society, gubmints and He absolutely does not want us following "our own truth", which I call "the vain imaginations of our own minds (or hearts)".  We read about obedience tests given in the scriptures and even Joseph Smith would resort to them when surrounded by wolves.  Peter was pushed to the limit to see where his loyalty limit was; and found it on the third crow of the rooster. Some of the rules on the mission were simply obedience tests and had varying degrees of common sense applied to them.  The missionaries that saw the greatest blessings were the most obedient and executed directives with exactness.  Those that were slothful, saw little to no miraculous outpouring.  If so, it was in spite of them.  The hardest driving missionary I knew was one who had repented mightily (was a stoner/womanizer type) whose girlfriend at the time found out he was a Mormon and he was asked about what a Mormon was.  Of course the Book of Mormon came up and she asked to read it.  She did, became convinced of it's truthfulness and insisted they quit sleeping together and that he start going to church.  He cut his hair, cleaned up his act and soon was on a mission with the promise that she would wait.  While in the MTC, he had a mighty change of heart and committed himself to God.  He determined that he would be a warrior for God - in part to atone for his slothful life before.  He was a sight to behold.  I worked like a dog (to the point my Mission Pres asked me to throttle it back a few times because my comps were complaining) - but this guy made me look like a slacker when we would go out on splits!  I could barely keep up with him and he was throttling back to be nice to me.  He would get up an hour or more before the wakeup hour of 6:30am just to cook a massive 3000 calorie breakfast and to work out on weights he dragged everywhere he went.  Over the top!  But, he set a personal goal to baptize 100 people in the final three months of his mission.  And he made that goal.  He was way behind coming into the last several weeks, but God knew better and he was shown a family patriarch to teach.  The man had incredible influence in that family and said that the whole clan (down to grandkids that were of age, were to be baptized) and I believe that came to 66 people.  He ended up with just over his goal.  I have never seen anything like it.  An amazing feat!   An amazing guy!

His secret was:

• prayer, 
• setting goals - as directed by the Spirit, 
• being obedient with exactness (not Pharisaically; to be seen of men - but like Nephi of old, who went and did as the Lord commanded because he wanted to please God and not necessarily man) and 
• depending on the Lord as if your life depended on it.

Simple recipe.  Great results every time.  This can work with anything from building a house to raising a family to being just a great overall person who gets the most bang for their buck out of life.

But my main point is that mostly what I am seeing is that people leaving the Church are people who are weak (of course) and struggling with chastity or WoW issues where those things have become their gods over God.  Often, they will convince their spouse that a little pornography will "spice" up the sex life, a little swinging will "add some variety" or that the marijuana or a coffee in the morning will really help them along.  As with everything that is addictive, it usually never ends there and the sex or the intoxicant just keeps ramping up to the next big thing until it is untenable.  Is sex bad?  Nope!  Is a cup of Joe bad?  Just one?  Probably not.  Is one hit of cocaine necessarily bad?  One video game?  One half hour on the computer looking at pornography?  Nope - probably will not kill you physically or spiritually.  But, it never ends with just one.   Addictive behavior is simply addictive.  Of all that, sexual sin is the trickiest - because we are sexual beings with programming to procreate - but we have been given defined bounds to keep things from getting out of control.  As I always say - if we can keep the Genie in that particular bottle in this life, we will be given more ability to use this power in the next phase.  If not, it will be taken from us the very "talent" we were given in this life.  If we abuse it by NOT using it (to save the planet or because kids are just plain inconvenient - or any other contrived excuse), then we are also in danger of the Judgment (fall short or go too far - it is about hitting the mark).

But the objective is to let NOTHING get in the way of our relationship with God.  If it is a kid that somehow has decided that they think they are gay, or the spouse decided that they were going their own way with the Gospel and wanted me to come along, my first impulse would be to tell them to repent.  If they did not, I would tell them where they can meet me (after their phase of rebellion).

ALWAYS; God first.

THE BAPTISM OF FIRE

 I have not shared this except with my wife.  But it needs to be disseminated.  A very necessary step.

All I can say is that this is sublime.  I made a pretty big mistake as a youth.  I needed to confess and repent.  I really remember being harrowed up.  I was allowed to go through the wringer for it.  This is the learning process and why daily and even hourly repentance is so necessary.  The outcome of it all was that I was cleansed and given the confirming stamp of approval from God (do not get me wrong, I have made innumerable serious goof ups since then, to the point that I can just picture Father shaking His head in disbelief in my long term prospects as a son of thunder…

The first event was an overwhelming dream wherein I woke and I had been crying.  My pillow was literally soaked.  It felt like it had been doused with cups and cups of water.  I had been pleading my case in front of Jesus.  I felt a huge sense of overwhelming joy.  The only thing close in my life was the night our kid died of SIDS, when I am positive he had just been in the presence of Jesus and then came to see us.  The love could not be adequately described in the human language from that night before we found him the next morning.

After the pillow soaking experience, I remember being drunk in the overwhelming joy of love that pervaded me for days.  I was so concerned that I finally confided in my lovely older (60ish) Seminary teacher because I did not know what had come over me.  I thought something was seriously wrong and while I could concentrate and function at school, I felt somewhat lost in emotion/love and realized I could not live in the world in this state forever.  I experienced the dichotomy of being in the world but not of it.  This as a 17 year old.  My seminary teacher cried, she was so happy to hear my tale.  We hugged.  She assured me I was fine.  One of the dumbest things I have done (multiple times now) was to attempt to suppress these gifts so I could operate “normally” in the world.  It is offensive to the Spirit to do so.  It is a rejection of epic proportions.

Around this time, I was tasked with helping set up YW/YM Summer Youth Conference.  I was on a Stake Committee to plan it.  I remember working with Brother Adair and Brother Litchfield to secure food, entertainment and to prepare the venue (a somewhat rustic summer camp set in the large Douglas fir grove on a cliff overlooking the Puget Sound).  I had my summer job but I could come and go as I needed to mesh the needs of the camp and the job.  I ended up spending time going to some classes, hanging out with some girls, eating some great food, doing the dance with a popular girl a year older than me who liked my brother and I at different times and then being there for the closing fast and testimony meeting and camp teardown.

In that fast and testimony meeting, I was again overcome and it was like I had no control over my body.  I shot up from my log bench in the grove overlooking the cliff and ocean as the sun was setting to the west and I broke down in overwhelming tears as I bore my budding testimony.  I sat down and was even in shock over how that all went.  I had never had such a thing happen up to that point.  The closest thing to that was the night I received my baptism and Gift of the Holy Ghost.

There is a singular, peak, indescribable, wonderful life-changing, spiritual experience referred to in scripture many times in many ways: the baptism of fire, born again, old man dead and new man made alive, promise of the Father, earnest of our inheritance, adoption by Jesus Christ, the gate, the way, Holy Spirit of Promise, Gift of the Holy Ghost, power in the priesthood, salvation, conversion, etc.

It is a very unique Mormon doctrine, we are the only significant group of Christians that believes that Adam was born again and that the gift of the Holy Ghost was viable and active well before the New Testament era. The Book of Mormon contains many testimonies of baptism of fire tied together by a travel and war narrative. Of course the central theme of the Book of Mormon is Jesus Christ and the testimony of the Book of Mormon prophets is that we come unto Jesus through our baptism of fire.

It is Nephi’s gate, it is the joy of Alma the Younger, it is the power that knocked the followers of King Benjamin to the ground, it is the conversion of the Lamanite Kings, and it was so powerful that the murdering Lamanites afterward laid down their weapons and allowed themselves to be killed.

The baptism of fire ratifies our baptism covenant, is the sign of our salvation, it’s the method by which we enter into the new and everlasting covenant. Without it we cannot enter the Kingdom, without it  we are not saved from hell.

Those who experience it describe an open vision of fire or bright light and many of the following:

Overwhelming or intolerable peace, love, joy

Sins being burned out of them

Speaking in tongues

Praising God in the tongues of angels

No more desire for sin

Greater understanding of scripture

A sure testimony of Jesus

A burning desire to serve Jesus by rescue others

Priesthood Power: heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons,

Prophecy, visions, and other miracles

Joseph’s first vision included a baptism of fire

The Kirtland Temple included a Baptism of Fire

Many early pioneers wrote about their baptism of fire

“The baptism of water,4 without the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost5 attending it, is of no use; they are necessarily and inseparably connected. An individual must be born of water and the Spirit in order to get into the kingdom of God.” Joseph

To receive the gift of the Holy Ghost is to be born of the Spirit. The priesthood and the power of the Holy Ghost is what gives life to the Church and its members:

Our baptism of fire is not the second comforter nor calling and election made sure but it is such a powerful experience that Paul and Nephi both warned us that once we have the gift, if we entirely turn away, we will not be able to repent.

The baptism of fire is described in or made reference to in hundreds of passages of scripture. It is one of the most broadly taught doctrines in all scripture. There is one reference in the Book of Mormon that the Lamanites received it and they k new it not. Given the sum of the many verse and narratives the best interpretation of that passage is likely that the darkened Lamanites experienced a powerful supernatural gift but they did not know what it meant or what to call it.

Because I write and speak often and openly about this subject many members have approached me and said, “I have never shared this with anyone but…” They then go on to describe an open vision, being immersed in the pillar of fire, amazing joy, love, or peace, and a new life.

THIRD PARTY PROPHECY MIXED IN WITH SOME EZRA'S EAGLE FOR GOOD MEASURE

 If this is successful, things are about to get interesting.  According to Ezra's Eagle, the democrat prez is pulled out by death or impeachment.  Same death thing with Bishop Koyle's utterances (except the death happens after an economic collapse, while the prez is still sitting in the whorehouse).

THIRD PARTY PROPHECY TO COME ABOUT?

 I cannot remember the source of the prophecy I have read about (I think it was Joseph Smith) who said that the two parties (the Republicans did not exist when this was given breath) would go to war against each other.  Now, if ever there there was a party at war with the other, it is now with the left-leaning party basically trying to prosecute the main members of the other party for how they executed their time in office, with "Trump"ed up charges (see what I did there?) as well as getting into office and the first week just flinging out the Executive Orders to reverse 100% what was done in the previous four years.  If this were a marriage and one spouse had done that against the wishes and intent of the other, there would be a divorce decree in no time at all....

But it IS happening on the national political scene; big as day.  The two parties are truly at war.  The fact is this:  most Repubs are sick of the RINOs like Romney, etc  They know they are fake and will say whatever will get them elected.  They are slimeballs almost completely across the board.  Most lefties probably feel the same about their candidate and only support a corrupt, demented, child-sniffer, has been as a prez because he will give them access to have their uteruses scraped after breaking serious commandments during a wicked stint while sitting around in govt subsidized housing and counting the loot they have gotten from others' hard work.  The only one that stood up to the gadiantonesque system (stealing and murdering to get power and gain - free stuff - and upholding such in places of power) has been Trump.  I don't care so much about his tax returns, that he said something mean, that he has a comb-over and orange fake tan hues, other than he is strong enough to actually lead this nation instead in Xin Ping or whatever Chicom is in power in the country that owns us...

The Doctrine of Christ Mob love to persecute members of the church and beat them over the head with all manner of false accusations about the Church and ordained leadership of Brigham Young. This is just one of many diabolical tactics they use to convince members to let go of the fruit of the tree of life ( or in other word’s to get them deny the sacred temple endowment).

The most oft-repeated accusation is:

“Brigham Young wasn’t a Prophet because he didn’t have any revelations.” Just like the Pharisees in Jesus Christ’s day, the DoC Mob demand signs. And, Like the PHarisees, the Doctrine of Christ MOB deny the fulfillment of prophecy as it is happening.

BRIGHAM YOUNG FULFILLED ANCIENT BIBLICAL PROPHECY!

Here are the facts:

On September 21, 1823, the angel Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith and instructed him on many passages of scripture chief among them was a prophecy derived from a vision shown to Isaiah. ( see Isaiah 2:2-3) This is the vision of the temple built in the Rocky Mountains in the last days.

Not only did Moroni quote this passage of scripture to Joseph Smith, but Joseph Smith even had visions related to this conversation and we are informed through the prophetic records that at one time the Prophet Isaiah himself appeared to Joseph Smith to personally explanan his biblical prophecies. Jospeh Smith was told by Isaiah that the Church would one day build a temple in the Rocky Mountains. This is why as early as 1830, the Prophet Joseph Smlth expressed his desire to gather the Saints to the Rocky Mountains.

It was also well known among the membership of the early Church that Joseph Smlth planned to establish a literal Zion in the tops of the Mountains, in fulfillment of Prophecy. God had promised Jospeh Smith that the Rocky Mountains would be a land of inheritance for the Saints.

After the death of Joseph Smith, The responsibility of leading the Church on their exodus West fell upon Brigham Young. Once, When President Young was fasting and praying about the upcoming exodus to the west, the veil of heaven was parted and the following manifestation took place:

President Young had a vision of Joseph Smlth, who showed him the mountain that we now call Ensign Peak and Joseph said, “Build under the point where the colors fall and you will prosper and have peace.”

Upon reaching the Salt Lake Valley on 24 July 1847, Brigham Young was shown another Vision by the gift of seership just as Joseph Smith has beheld it previously. During this confirmatory vision a “Spirit of Light” rested upon Brigham Young and upon this occasion he saw the future glory of Zion and of Israel.

On July 28, 1847, Brigham Young and seven others ascended what is now called Ensign Peak and hoisted a symbolic banner that represented the Ensign of the ancient Israelite prophecy.

Two days later, Brigham Young crossed The Valley and stood on what is now Temple Square. Upon reaching that spot, the Prophet was shown yet another vision. He later declared:

“I scarcely ever say much about revelations, or visions, but suffice it to say, five years ago last July I was here and saw in the Spirit the Temple not ten feet from where they laid the Chief Corner Stone. I have not inquired of what kind of Temple we should build. Why? Because it was represented before me in vision. I have never looked upon that ground, but the vision of it was there. I see it as plainly as if it were in reality before me.”

DIRECT REVELATION: Brigham Young was shown a vision of the Salt Lake Temple’s structure and he knew that it had a complex of towers that were symbolic of the worker of the Priesthood. In Brigham Young’s Heavenly vision he also saw some of the symbols that he incorporated into the building’s exterior.

The cornerstones of the Salt Lake Temple were laid on April 6, 1853.

Elder Parley P Pratt saw a vision during the cornerstone ceremony that the Prophet Joseph Smlth and many other angelic visitors were standing above the Temple’s Foundation and observing the rites.

Exactly 40 years following Elder Pratt’s vision, during the Salt Lake Temple Dedication, President WILFORD Woodruff revealed that during the services his eyes were allowed to see within the veil. He beheld that Joseph Smith had returned with many others from the Spirit world to witness the dedication of the temple. Among this Heavenly Host he saw the Savior and the Prophet Isaiah.

The Salt Lake Temple stands as literal, Physical reality of Brigham Young’s prophetic mantle and the prophecies he fulfilled.

To deny the ordained leadership of Brigham Young, is to deny the Sun at noon-day.

*Erastus Snow journal entry for April 12, 1893 confirms that the Son of God was with the Saints during the dedication.

THE BRONZE AGE, THE INVASION OF BRITANNIA AND RITUAL PURIFICATION OF A RESURRECTED BEING

So, one of my favorite things to do is spend countless hours on youtube watching vids on how people got things done with little or no tech.  We may have to go there again for a while.  I am always fascinated that Nephi built a ship with basically nothing.  Way cool.

I also am fascinated with how the Romans depended on Joseph of Arimethea for this strategic metal which made their spears and other military hardware top grade and made them the world power of the day.  The weird thing is that the Romans did not control it, but a Jewish guy did.  I thought it was weird that they did not attempt to get control of it since they had the armies at their disposal.  Sure enough, though - they did attempt to get the tin.  In 55BC, Julius Ceasar made an attempt to invade Britannia - likely partly to gain control of the lucrative tin trade.  They launched from the Dutch coast - but the inhabitants of the mainland let the Brits know that several thousand soldiers were amassing and headed their way.  The fiesty Brits were waiting for them and shut them down before they could really even establish a beach head.  The Romans went home empty handed both first attempts due to bizarre weather.  I have to wonder who controls the weather...:

Julius Caesar’s First Landing in Britain

Julius Caesar first landed in Britain on August 26th, 55 BC, but it was almost another hundred years before the Romans actually conquered Britain in AD 43.

Having subdued Gaul, or so it seemed at the time, Julius Caesar launched an expedition to Britain. It was late in the campaigning season and it is doubtful if he was bent on conquest, more likely a reconnaissance in strength. He would certainly have hoped to increase his prestige at home and he might have wanted to postpone a recall to Rome, where his enemies could get at him. He was probably encouraged by some British chiefs, hoping to use the Romans as allies against rival tribes. Whatever Caesar’s intentions, he was defeated by the British weather.

A Gaulish chieftain named Commius was sent across the Channel to enlist support for the Romans among the British tribes, while a trusted officer took a fast galley to reconnoitre the coast. Caesar assembled eighty ships at Boulogne to carry two legions, the Seventh and the Tenth, plus irregulars, altogether some 12,000 men. The cavalry and their horses were to sail separately from Ambleteuse, a few miles north. After waiting for a wind the Roman ships left Boulogne in the early hours of August 26th and came in sight of the white cliffs of Dover around 9am. The cliffs were bristling with menacing British warriors, horsemen and war chariots. It was obviously no place to land, but Caesar waited for hours offshore for the cavalry, which had got penned in Ambleteuse by tide and wind. In the afternoon the Roman fleet sailed north-east without them to pass the South Foreland and come in sight of the long stretch of flat shore to the north. The Britons moved along on land to keep pace.

The Roman ships drew in and anchored offshore, probably about where Deal is now, and the legionaries were faced with wading to land, burdened with weapons and gear, while the Britons threw javelins at them and galloped menacingly to and fro on the beach. It was not an agreeable prospect and the soldiers hung back until the eagle-bearer of the Tenth jumped into the sea and shouted to his comrades to follow him and defend the standard. This they did and more and more of the Romans struggled through the waves to the beach. After savage fighting, the legionaries managed to form up, charge the Britons and drive them in flight. With no cavalry this could not be followed up and the Romans made camp. 

The Britons sent emissaries to Caesar to sue for peace, along with Commius with his tail between his legs. Caesar took hostages from them and after four days, on the 30th, the cavalry transports at last appeared, but were blown away by a sudden fierce storm and forced back to Gaul. The gale coincided with an exceptionally high tide and many of Caesar’s ships dragged their anchors and were wrecked on the beach. The Britons took note and started to muster their forces again. The Romans began repairing the ships, but now they were short of food. Parties ventured into the countryside to reap corn and gather supplies, but legionaries of the Seventh were ambushed by British chariots and horsemen. Fortunately for the Romans, the attack raised such a cloud of dust that Caesar saw it from the camp and hurried up with reinforcements. After several days of incessant rain Caesar managed to bring the British to a pitched battle, which was what Roman commanders always wanted against a barbarian and comparatively undisciplined enemy. The British were defeated with heavy casualties, but again could not be effectively pursued. Caesar had had enough. He embarked his men on the ships and sailed back to Gaul.

Caesar tried again the following year, launching a stronger and better prepared force of five legions on a second expedition, which carried him across the Thames at Brentford, but again the weather was abominable and gales played havoc with his ships and supplies. After concluding a face-saving treaty with the local British king he returned to Gaul once more. It was almost another hundred years before the Romans actually conquered Britain, in AD 43.

Here is a synopsis of the reasons Rome invaded Britannia:

The Romans invaded Britain 3 times. In 54 B.C. 55 B.C. and 43 A.D. Britain before Jesus was born in August 55 B.C. There were over 30,000 men on foot and 2,000 on horses. The Romans came to Britain looking for riches, land, slaves and most of Britain's metal.

Very interesting to note that not only did Britain possess tin in the mines of Cornwall, but Wales contained a fair bit of copper, which was mined as recently as the 1800's as the British expanded their empire.  This is significant.

Julius Ceasar led the first attempt on the island, but was assassinated 11 years later in 44BC.  I cannot help but think that Britain might have fallen sooner had he remained in power and lived a longer life with the ambition to return with a greater force to address the first stinging loss.

But he did not, and the Britons maintained their sovereignty and Jesus spent quite some time of His formative years there as it was a hub of learning and had quite a bit of the House of Israel centered there.  It allowed his wealthy uncle to continue in his endeavors and to build quite a bit of wealth; which led to him having the tomb hewn out of prime real estate in Jerusalem, which a nephew who suddenly expired, was able to take advantage of as the Great High Priest.  Not having seen dead men's bones, nor flies who would have infested corpses, nor blood nor any other unclean thing, He was able to rise again and meet the completeness of the Law in going to the Holy of Holies to meet His Father and our Father.  Remember that a Priest, if he became ritually impure by touching a fly, would have to go through a lengthy and complicated process of ritual purification before he could enter in the most sacred part of the House of the Lord.

Amazing how history works iteself out in a perfect manner.  Brutus may have had more of a role than any of us realize.  We shall have to wait to see what was orchestrated and what "just happened".

For me, I believe that little is coincidental....
