AGENCY - AND YOUR OPINION

This life is a great battle - one over ensuring that EVERYONE who qualified for a body is entitled to their chance at moral agency, regardless of their position.  The other focus of this life is to ensure that truth prevails over error and wickedness.  If we seek to diminish someone's moral agency or do not fight for truth - we have failed in our mission and will not make the grade.

We had a great talk today by a Stake High Councilor on member missionary work.  The thing that came out of that talk that struck me the most was a quote by Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a politician and US Ambassador.  He said this: 

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but they are not entitled to their own facts.

So, when I get testy about something - where someone appears to be attempting to manipulate the facts into what appears to be their opinion, I leave the "fight for moral agency" mode and I go into "fight for truth" mode and start to shred.  My wife is the same - but being a nurturer (by design) she approaches things from a standpoint of "mercy".  Being the patriarch, defender, male-type, I approach them from the "justice" standpoint.  The reason I call us "Brother Justice and Sister Mercy".....  So, when we put the two together (the two perfect halves, so to speak), we have a beautiful synergy and "whole" perspective that cannot be beat.  That is why I am a big fan of the role of woman - I get the need for that completing and finishing perspective.  And, for the most part, I believe she understands my role and how we fit together beautifully.

A FREE SCHOOL SYSTEM - WHAT BRIGHAM YOUNG HAD TO SAY

Socialized education was one of the first major victories that modern political collectivists enjoyed here in these United States, as well as one of ten planks in The Communist Manifesto. Our federal government tried to impose socialized education here in Utah as part of its efforts to forcibly assimilate Utahns into "mainstream" American culture; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fought very hard against such public education, but ultimately lost this battle, and ultimately introduced its Seminary program as a fallback measure.

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO PULL OUR KIDS OUT AND DO THE RIGHT THING - OR AT LEAST GO FOR A VOUCHER SYSTEM WHERE WE CAN CHOOSE WHERE TO SEND OUR KIDS. TO THE STATE PROPAGANDA MACHINES, OR TO A PLACE WHERE THEY LEARN GOOD PRINCIPLE? HITLER WAS A HUGE FAN OF THE STATE SCHOOL SYSTEM - THUS KINDERGARTEN. THE LOGICAL END TO THEIR PROGRAMS WAS TO HAVE MOMMY OFF WORKING IN A FACTORY WHILE UNCLE SCAM WAS FILLING THE KID'S HEAD FULL OF STATIST GARBAGE..... WHAT A GREAT PLAN!

Watching this video makes me want to throw up and get the hell out of this place - or fight to the death. I have stories in my personal life where the local city gov't wanted to levy $34,000 against me (administratively) for cutting invasive blackberries on personal property. Not cool - watch the video and rage against the machine. It has to be destroyed before it will get better..... Hate to say it folks - its the same kind of crap that got our Savior killed in His day. Regulation and overzealous freaks. As I have said for the last 10 years, people in Russia have more freedoms than we do.....

CATCHING WILD PIGS - A LESSON ON SOCIALISM

Catching Wild Pigs

A student discussing Communism with his professor looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground.. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America . The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc.. While we continually lose our freedoms -- just a little at a time.

One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut!

Keep your eyes on the newly elected politicians who are about to slam the gate on America .
