THIS BLOG ATTEMPTS TO SHOW HOW SCIENCE IS CATCHING UP WITH REVEALED RELIGION

THIS BLOG IS AN ATTEMPT TO PUT ALL THE COOL STUFF THAT I BUMP INTO ABOUT THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST AND EVENTS THAT LEAD UP TO IT INTO ONE LOCATION.
THE CONTENTS WILL BE FROM AN LDS PERSPECTIVE. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANYTHING IN HERE, I DO NOT PARTICULARLY CARE TO ARGUE, UNLESS YOU CAN ADD TO THIS BODY OF WORK. I HAVE AN OPEN MIND, THAT IS WHY I READ STUFF FROM ALL DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES AND SEEK LEARNING FROM THE BEST BOOKS. I JUST AM NOT HERE TO ARGUE ABOUT IT - BUT TO PUT IT OUT THERE WHERE OTHERS CAN PERUSE/PURSUE IT. I TAKE PARTICULAR INTEREST IN HONEST SEEKERS OF TRUTH AND BELIEVE THAT SCIENCE IS REVEALED RELIGION'S BEST ALLY. YOU WILL SEE ALOT OF TOPICS IN THIS BLOG THAT SHOW SCIENCE BACKING - AND SLOWLY CATCHING UP WITH - REVEALED RELIGION.

THE ATONEMENT; IT IS NOT YOUR GIFT TO GIVE

One of the purposes of this blog is to expose sin.  To even talk about sin.  Even my own.

I got a comment on the last one about intense attraction to a co-worker that I never acted on - but that I could have in a moment of potential weakness.  The comment was on that article:  TMI

This was from an "all is well in Zioner" - a person that would rather ignore the problems that exist, than deal with them head on.  I have told my older kids on several occasions that there is as much learning in a poor example, as there is in a good one.  Where the destruction comes from is from those masquerading as wolves - while feigning to be "on the team".

I hate fakery.  I got it in the form of pretty strong recrimination when dealing with my wife's past sexual abuse at the hand of her step-dad.  He is an honorable man - in that he admitted his error and has striven at every turn to correct multiple mistakes.  That is how we all get better.  Where I have the problem is with those who would cover for him and try to make me or the abuse victim out to be the liar.  That is bearing false witness.  There is NO honor in that.  In fact, I chuck that kind of stuff to the curb.  I only make my company with honest people (and my list of friends can be short at times - though I am welcome to all).

There were instances of (relatively minor) sexual abuse amongst siblings in my family - yet when those things were brought up in a family discussion setting, the sibling who did so was ostracized to the point they are no longer invited to family functions.  These same siblings who created the hostile environment for my oldest sister, then made false and unfounded allegations against my father (right after my mother died) and it really got bizarre.  I tried to step in and got trounced on for my trouble as a peacemaker - seeker of honesty and truth.  I left the lot in the rear view mirror other than a few of them who have since proven their mettle.  If people cannot be open and embrace the truth, no matter how painful it is, I have no room for them.

On the flip side, I have no problem with a person with a sordid past (oddly, I have a pretty cordial relationship with my wife's abuser - as he admitted the problem and repeatedly tells her he is sorry for what he has done - and I believe it is genuine).  Where you will see me go on the attack, is someone who is embroiled in sin - and says there is no sin in it.  Especially when it involves someone in power or influence over my children (such as a teacher, neighbor, close family member, MIL, etc).  I will go on attack and point out the incongruities of their arguments until they either cry uncle and confess it for what it is, or they give it up).  If they were a raging, flaming homosexual, I would not care - that is between them and their Maker - but if they try to convince my children that what they are doing is just fine - watch out.  Fire breathing dragon boy is on the loose.  I am sick of the degenerate environment I have to raise my children in.  It is too much for charges I have - they are way too important to me.

Here is the article that got me spun up that highlights the "Utah Culture"......  So sorry for this gal.  It must have been a shocker for her.  We have a long way to go - to become a Zion society:

  1. God's wrath and one UT earthquake/plague on the way. Order up for the Salt Lake City Chapter! You elders didn't guard Utah down through the years as you should have. Now look what's in your midst going after your children. An "After School Satan" program for elementary kids on your front door step.

  2. WOW! This post and that article totally rock. Yeah, the UT cookie cutter judgmental crowd. I had to endure them but was able to enjoy living in my WY ward where it wasn't like that AT ALL. Our ward was a real family and other wards actually envied our little "zion". We all looked out for each other, knew each other's problems whatever level they were on, openly spoke about them including our own wayward children or whatever, and we strengthened each other and the Holy Ghost was so strong with us it was one of the most precious times in my life. The gal in this article would've been welcomed with open arms and basically adopted by all the mother hens just like I was. She easily would've been my best friend and she would've been so happy to be with us. She could've freely talked of her sins/struggles making us want to love her all the more and let her know, "you're home now, you really are with YOUR people and we'll love you and take care of you." It was always a well known term "Utah Mormons" used by members outside of UT. Not saying all of them are like that but there's enough to give them a bad rep. Jesus Christ will weed them out soon. Again, GREAT GREAT GREAT post bro'. Thanks!!

  3. If the person mentioned had been doing their sunday school reading this week just gone, then they would surely have read all about Alma the younger giving advice to his sons, where he feels it is necessary to explain about his own sinful wickedness along with the sons of Mosiah. If explaining the bad examples is good enough for Alma, then it's good enough for this blog.
