MORE RANT AGAINST THE PHARISEES IN THE CHURCH

My wife and I were just discussing the last blog piece I wrote.

She has been a little hacked off, too.  We have the Samuel the Lamanite scenario going on right now.  The big problem is that no one recorded his words and the survivors of the event were chastised for not recording his words.

It is my wife's opinion that the people may not have recorded his words because they were shut down by other members of the Church in the day, who eventually threatened them later with death if the sign did not materialize that night (persecution by their own people).  In other words, Samuel was chased from the wall by wicked members of the Church.  The FAIRs and other analgous groups of people who were full of themselves were providing full court press against the faithful.  There clearly was a schism in the land.  Even Nephi had serious detractors and likely would have been killed had he not had perfect power in his Priesthood to call down the elements of heaven on their heads.  I have raised my hands to the heavens in request of support and had excellent results.  I desire more and timely events like that and encourage others who are oppressed to do the same.  We must not cower.

Notice that Samuel did not form a Daybellian or Rowellian following.  He just delivered his message and then split the scene.  The people who believed him headed over to the acknowledged leader of the day, Nephi.  Nephi did not preach of himself, but pointed the people to Christ.  Many detractors of our Prophet today criticize him - but I do not, because he only points to Christ.  Christ points to the Father.  So plain.  So simple.  Not rocket science, folks!

Part of the problem is that many of these Pharisees fear losing their income (yes, we have a paid clergy in the Church, albeit it limited in scope), or they fear losing their calling and the associated prestige.

The reason our Prophet has asked us to obtain personal revelation is that we are about to go through a purge and those who cannot tell which way is up, will drown in the frothing melee that will come upon us.  It is going to be interesting!  Take your vitamins and buckle up!

It cannot happen soon enough, it cannot happen violently enough.

The first purging was dire - and the world literally drowned in order to purge the Nephilim and so much else from the earth.

This coming purge will be even more spectacular and purposeful.  There is much dead wood to be cast onto this fire by the Lord of the vineyard.  May we be up to the challenge of it all.

  1. Brother Iraq,
I understand your zeal to purge the church of the divergent members. It would be great if we all were truly of "one mind and heart".

However, before we call for a cleansing, shouldn't we be asking for more opportunities for their eyes to be opened? Hopefully they'll be able to see the error of their ways. I know some people just need a stronger humbling experience inorder to recognize their current state. I would hope the good Lord would give me such a chance before "removing" me based on the judgement of my fellow church members.

I'm sure He is well aware of when the all opportunities have passed and it's time to remove the uncompliant. Best to just pray for His will and their eternal welfare. And let the chips fall where the may.

Besides, how else could the rest of us prove our faithfulness if we didn't have some adversity to wade through?

  2. i have always looked at spencer in much the same way as samuel the lamanite, there are to many parallels to count. to the anonymous above it well be progressive as we go, steadily getting worse and shorter in time intervals, but with that being said, time to repent is now.

  3. "...it cannot happen violently enough." Wow. You want extreme violence? You seem to be enthralled with the idea of God raining down fire to consume the enemy, like Boanerges (Luke 9:54-56). These loyal, righteous apostles were rebuked by Jesus. As much good as you do with this blog, you might want to consider your own weakness and repentance, starting with the latter two of these three verses.
