Folks, I have learned volumes on this topic recently. I have always kind of known most of this stuff - but the principles were driven home lately.
In a non-worldly relationship, it develops usually in these three areas and in this sequence when it is done right. When a relationship (that ends in marriage) starts, it usually begins with two people that are emotionally available; who would like to sync themselves to another for the purpose of strengthening beyond what one can do alone. The human condition dictates that no individual (that is fully functioning and not dysfunctional), likes to be alone. We crave companionship - most likely with someone who is our equal. No relationship can make it if there is not mutual respect between the two. We MUST be equally yoked - otherwise, it becomes a relationship of caretakership and it can lose it's luster quickly.
