After this, the cleansing will begin and, due to war and plague and chaos within nature, the elders will be called home from far and near. Those of missionary age will be sent off to war - and this will most likely include my own son - who, in spite of my best efforts and intentions, will most likely perish in those wars, just a little over three years from now. It will be a sad day for many a parent who have put their hearts and souls into trying to raise good kids in these perilous times. Here is that comment left on the blog:
In light of what you had previously written about your son and the other boys you taught, I was talking to my sister-in-law a couple weeks ago about the end times and pointed her in the direction of some good reads on the subject. She made an interesting comment. She has one son on a mission right now and another who will go next year. She said some kids just a little younger than her sons have had patriarchal blessings that say they will not be serving missions but rather going to war.
Here is some of the sayings from John Koyle about Russia's ascendancy to power:

DROUGHT USA
"Depression will occur just before drought". "Weather pattern changes would be seen to the far south-west. Drought would proceed northward year by year increasing in intensity until reaching the valleys of Utah. At that time the troubles were to start in the valleys. The drought would then head east, increasing in intensity". "The first year would not be felt very much; but the second year would be worse with less crops; and the third year would also produce very poor crops; and in the fourth year there would be no crops at all". "When the drought comes, one will notice dry, hot winds when the winter wheat is in the milk stage of kernel development. The first year of drought will reduce the winter wheat crop by 25%. The second year the wheat crop will be reduced by 50%. The third year the wheat crop will be reduced by 75%, and will not be fit for anything but cattle feed. The mine must purchase its wheat from the second year's crop, i.e., within the year following the second year harvest and before the third year harvest". ECONOMIC CRASH
"The overnight crash would occur on a holiday weekend where the holiday falls on a monday". "…our entire wage and price structure had risen higher and higher so that it was like it was up on high stilts, and then suddenly it was as if someone over-night had kicked the stilts out from under it, and the whole thing came down with a crash to about 20 cents on the dollar. Property would only be worth 1/5 of its form or value, but his mortgage and other fixed debts would remain the same. The US would call it's military home from all over the world just to keep the greenbacks home and to keep the peace". "When the mine comes in, there will be only three months to obtain needed goods from the East Coast and three more months to obtain goods from Denver (six months total). After that, trucks will not be running".
"RUSSIA TAKES OVER EUROPE, ASIA AND AFRICA
In the thirties he spoke of Russia invading Turkey at this time to gain the Dardenelle-Bosporus Water-way. He said that at this time there would be trouble in Palestine or the Mid-East, which in turn would cause war to erupt in the Balkans as Russia made a great military push toward Palestine and practically wiped Turkey off the European part of the map. He said that after the Reds took over most of Europe, Asia and Africa, they would invade the United States and Canada, and because of our chaotic condition, we could offer very little organized resistance. He said the Reds would get as far as the Missouri River or Mississippi River before they were stopped by Priesthood powers from heaven that would drive them out of the lands. The Chinese would invade the West Coast and get as far as the Sierra Nevadas before they were stopped by divine intervention and that these invasions would not reach us herein these valleys of the mountains". |
There is no way on God's green earth that a Patriarch would say to a 16 year old boy that he would not serve a mission but rather would be going to war. Seriously people, don't be so gullible. I will entertain the notion with a copy of said blessing in my view, but these mormon myths really have to stop.
ReplyDeleteI just love it when people say something like "no way would god command this or that". Do people really think that they know and understand the mind of god?
DeleteWe will just have to see how this all plays out. We will know sooner than later. I have unfortunately heard many people trash talk “Mormon myths” and “urban legends.” It makes me sad that some feel the need to automatically discredit the testimonies, experiences and blessings of others. Please, please do not be so quick to judge others and their experiences; leave that to the Lord. That you ask for “proof” is sad indeed. Who would want to share with you with such an attitude? I think of my own grandmother. In her blessing, she was promised that none of her sons would ever go to war. Who would have ever dreamed at that time that there would be more wars to come? She married just before the break out of World War II. My father, her oldest living son, was born during the war. My father and his two brothers came of age during the Vietnam War. He was drafted, but was not accepted because a doctor found that he had flat feet during his final medical exam. Similar things happened to my uncles. No one of her sons went to war. Why my grandmother was told such a thing is unknown to me, but apparently it is something that the Lord wanted her to know. I could go on, but these things are sacred in my family – and would be chalked up as more myths and legends. How can you say so definitively that these boys were not told that? You simply do not know. I’m glad your son had such happy promises given to him. I have also known people who were promised many wonderful things, who then passed away in the prime of their life. Do their blessings end just because they passed away? No, these blessings are still in force and will still be realized.
DeleteAnon,
ReplyDeleteWhat is it exactly that you think is a Mormon myth? The Second Coming, the coming war(s), Christ, the destruction of the wicked? No disrespect intended, but, please tell me....what is the Mormon myth?
I am a very strong and active LDS member. The "Mormon myths" that I am talking about are the same as urban legends. I'm not talking about the second coming, Armageddon, prophecies fulfilled etc... All of those things are in the works for sure. I was simply talking about a Patriarch telling a young man that he will not serve a mission but will go to war instead. My 16 year old son just received his blessing and was promised a beautiful and successful mission. I am just questioning that this story about boys being told they will go to war instead of serving a mission is truthful.
ReplyDeleteTurkey is offering to help the United States in a military intervention in Syria.
ReplyDeleteBut what doesn't make sense is compared to Ezekiel 38 in which Turkey and Russia would be allies when they invaded Israel. Perhaps that will be what is needed for Russia and Turkey to be allies: Invasion.

ReplyDeleteDon't mean to rain on your parade...BUT your son's "beautiful and successful mission" could mean a myriad of things. That doesn't mean it will be a "You are hereby called to serve in the....mission" Just sayin....
You are not raining on my parade. I completely agree it can mean anything. Or... Nothing at all. My oldest son was promised a mission within a year of his blessing and he went totally off the deep end the folliwing year and hates the church now. So you don't have to worry about raining on my parade. It's been done in floods thank you very much. I'm just oh so tired of the Mormon myth culture. The gospel on the other hand is my saving grace. The pure doctrine of the gospel is true and perfect.
