COLD-PRESSED, VIRIGIN COCONUT OIL AS A TOPICAL ANTI-BIOTIC

Folks - yet one more data point.  I took a chunk out of my finger putting brakes on my oldest daughter's car I was fixing up for her summer internship commute.  I took no measures to protect the wound from the grimy environment I have been in the last week or two with two timing belts, drive belts and tensioners, brakes, half shafts, water pumps, and the grimy intake on my VW TDI that has to be cleaned so she can breathe properly. 

Needless to say, the wound has been abused.  Instead of being pink or brown and healthy, it has been more the color of diesel soot and by Sunday, I could not even touch it.  It was swollen and to the point that something was going to go real bad, real fast.  I let it get to that point - just to make a point.

When I could take it no longer, I went to Costco and got yet one more of their Kirkland brand tubs of COLD-pressed coco oil (the hot-pressed stuff simply does NOT work as medicine).  I bought some water-proof bandages that will stick in the presence of oils, water, etc and took a dab of coco, put it on the wound and promptly covered it with a band-aid.  I waited about three hours (it was still mostly painful to the touch) and then took the band-aid off.  The brackish scab was soft and I could pry it out of the foul pit on my finger without screaming my head off in pain.

I then took another dab of coco and a fresh band-aid - rinse and repeat.  I removed it before bed  so the wound could breathe.  I awoke the next morning with almost zero soreness and 48 hours later, I can say that I am completely pain-free and on the way to a scar-less recovery and goodness.

There is NOTHING like that stuff.  Nothing!

Ladies, if you have a yeastie-beastie as I call them, forget the monistat garbage that does not work.  Put some of that stuff in or on an applicator and wallah - you will be fine in 24 hours.  Seriously - why were we not all raised knowing this stuff?  I guess they cannot charge you an office visit and $15 for a few ounces of a worthless cream that may or may not solve the problem......
