Samuel the Lamanite declared that the Lord would give the Nephites 400 years (0 to 400 AD) (Helaman 13:5, 3 Nephi 1:13, Mormon 8:6) before the “sword of justice” would “falleth upon this people.” (Helaman 13:5).
He told them the Lord would “take away my word from them... withdraw my Spirit from them, and... turn the hearts of their brethren against them.” (Helaman 13:8). That they would be “smitten... with the sword and with famine and with pestilence.” (Helaman 13:9).
He told them that some “of your enemies” would “behold your utter destruction.” And that their destruction would come from “those of the fourth generation....” (Helaman 13:10).
Samuel’s warning is in 6 BC. (Helaman 13). Samuel’s sign is given at 0. (3 Nephi 1:13). Nephites are smitten by 363-375 AD. (Mormon 4:4). Nephites are utterly destroyed by 400 AD. (Mormon 8:6-7).
Similarly, the Book of Mormon states that “a sign” would be given by which we “may know the time... that [the Lord] shall gather in... [His] people, O house of Israel, and shall establish AGAIN among them [His] Zion.” (3 Nephi 21:1).
The “sign” included “...when these things... shall be made known unto the Gentiles,” after “they should be established in this land” (1620 - the Mayflower) and “be set up as a free people,” (1776 - 1787; Declaration of Independence and the Constitution).
1620 + 400 = 2020.
1620 + 120 (1stGen) = 1740 + 120 (2ndGen) = 1860 + 120 (3rdGen) = 1980, the beginning of the 4th generation that brings the destruction. This is based on theory that a generation is (in this instance) 120 years long per Genesis 6:3.
He warned them that nothing (no politician, school, or school board) could “save this people;” only “faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Helaman 13:6).
If they would “repent and return unto the Lord, He would turn away his anger and those who did so would be “blessed.” (Helaman 13:11).
This is similar to the warning and opportunity given to our time that; “At that day when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel... I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them. [R]emember my covenant... unto my people, O house of Israel, and I will bring my gospel unto them. But if the Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel.” (3 Nephi 16: 10-13).
Samuel specifically warned the “great city of Zarahemla” (the Nephite version Salt Lake City) that its denizens would “harden their hearts against” the Lord, (Helaman 13:12), and that if not “for the righteous” the Lord would have already caused “that fire should come down out of heaven and destroy it.” (Helaman 13:13).
Further, if the time came that Salt Lake/Zarahemla began to “cast out the righteous” (perhaps by excluding good people from exercising their natural rights to worship and work) then the city would be “ripe for destruction,” “because of the wickedness and abominations which are in her.” (Helaman 13:14).
He then warned “all the cities which are in the land round about.” (Helaman 13:15-16). This would be like warning areas such as Davis, Weber and Utah counties, which must have been really offensive to all the politicians from those areas because they probably thought God inspired them to run for office. Instead, he referred to them and their people as wicked abominations.
He then pronounced the curse upon the land “that whoso shall hide up treasures in the earth shall find them again no more... save he be a righteous man and shall hide it up unto the Lord.” (Helaman 13: 17-20).

Samuel then warns Salt Lake/Zarahemla again (probably during their legislative session where the moms from throughout the land had gathered to ironically protest the new Nehorite dogma being taught in the government run Nehorite-schools).
He told the people they were “cursed because of your riches... because ye have set your hearts upon them.” He then told them that they had “not hearkened unto the words of him who gave them unto you.” (Helaman 13:21).
This was probably very confusing because they had all been wearing what they were told to wear and taking the ‘special medicine’ they had been told to take and did not realize that words have meaning because that was not taught at the Nehorite schools.
Samuel even told them they were worse than the people in the past who stoned the prophets because if a prophet were to “declareth unto you the word of the Lord, which testifieth of your sins and iniquities, ye are angry with him, and cast him out and seek all manner of ways to destroy him; yea, you will say that he is a false prophet, and that he is a sinner, and of the devil, because he testifieth that your deeds are evil.” (Helaman 13:26).
But if someone were to say “[d]o this, and there is no iniquity... Walk after the pride of your own hearts... the pride of your eyes... do whatsoever your heart desireth... ye will receive him... say that he is a prophet. ...[L]ift him up... give unto him of your substance... your gold, and of your silver... clothe him with costly apparel; and because he speaketh flattering words unto you, and he saith that all is well, then ye will not find fault with him. (Helaman 13:27-28).
Finally, Samuel calls them a “wicked and perverse generation... a hardened... stiffnecked people... led by foolish and blind guides,” who choose “darkness rather than light.” (Helaman 13:28).
In spite of their vanity, foolish beliefs and false hope, Samuel stated that “the anger of the Lord is already kindled against you” and that the Lord had “cursed the land because of your iniquity.” (Helaman 13: 29-30).

Thanks for sharing! I love stuff like this that gets thought process going. Being amongst critical thinkers here... I gotta say this does make a few stretch assumptions. First, 1620 as a starting point is quite arbitrary compared to the birth of a Christ. Second, there are several definitions of generational duration in the scriptures - Gen. 6:3 (120 yrs) doesn't align with the Nephite narrative used here. Third, the Church will not be utterly destroyed this time as it was with the Nephites. If God spares wicked groups because there are righteous among them, which is a solid pattern, then we aren't there yet. Likening the scriptures unto ourselves is great, but we can also look beyond the mark and wrest them to make our decided narrative fit. So where are we on the timelime? The fig tree is beginning to leaf and summer is nigh, but getting more specific than that is just a guess.
ReplyDeleteOur Elders Quorum president was speaking some what vaguely when I started to pay attention through about half of it when I realized he was referring to those who would support lies to deceive the people as some great evil. I suddenly realized he could have been referring to me, only guessing, considering what I have put on FB regarding the destructive nature of these spike proteins. This individual and his wife, both in their early 40's have taken the shot and like so many, have accepted the endless propaganda as self evident, reinforced by Church Leadership's acceptance of the shot.
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time linking these people with the wicked. but the strong attitude was disturbing as though there is only one side to a story. So many of this younger generation have fallen on their swords. They just can't believe that it is possible that such a lie, a deception could possibly be systemic in the media and government to the degree that it is. But they have not been paying attention....they have not been looking for the return of the Savior. When push come to shove, I don't want to be around these people, they are potentially toxic.
I have only recently realized that my years of interest in the Deep State, revelations, NDE's and other experiencers to the events of the Last Days, leading to his return, (maybe by default for me) is what we have been commanded to do. If you look towards the coming of the Savior, you have to regard the BofM and it's warnings of Secret Combinations, you would have to pay attention to all the events taking place in this country, especially since 9-11, even though Deep State antics have been going on long before. Clear analysis, critical thinking to such a heavily propagandized people is useless. Something horrible may have to happen to awaken this people.
Jesus has told us in so many words to be ye as a little child.... these are to inherit the Kingdom of God. To be as a little child means to be objective, without prejudice, willing to learn, to understand and obey. Not obey blindly but through the spirit instead of the cult of personality.
i agree with you, we are kinda living with people who live in propaganda land, and it will take something huge to wake them up, and that includes the church leadership sorry to say

ReplyDeleteIt doesn’t matter to me if your timeline is off. The critical thinking is the point here. Timing is up to the Lord. We do our part by being awake with oil in our lamp when the bridegroom comes.
