JEFFREY HOLLAND - OUR FUTURE

Bringing in the Millennium

Powerful prophetic statement...
"We know for certain that if and when everything else in the latter days is down or dying; if governments, economies, industries, and institutions crumble; if societies and cultures become a quagmire of chaos and insecurity, nevertheless, through it all the gospel of Jesus Christ and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that bears that gospel to the world will stand triumphant. It will stand undefiled in God’s hand until the very Son of God Himself comes to rule and reign as Lord of lords and King of kings. Nothing is more certain in this world. Nothing is more sure."
-Jeffrey R. Holland

  2. First of all, the Gospel and the Church are two SEPARATE things. ONE without a doubt is undefiled and will remain that way forever IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. The Church remain undefiled? LOL Mormons having gay rights marches? I don't think so!

D&C 112 JUDGMENT and WRATH "And upon my house (sanctuary/temple) shall it begin and from there go forth to the rest of the world...." (Spencer was at the temple when the earthquake hit and the flood came there)

Ezekiel 9 When the angels bearing swords were commanded to "being at MY SANCTUARY (temple) and spare none"

And Wilford Woodruff and Elder M. Russell Ballard telling us they "cannot and will not lead us astray". False doctrine.

    JEREMIAH 50:6

"My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains. They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place.

Get the Holy Ghost for your guide and cling to Him with everything you have. Trust in the Lord and none else.

Become Zion worthy where no one needs to be taught of the Lord because they all KNOW HIM personally.

    1. Remember that Spencer, at least in his book (and I'm assuming still is), was fully supportive of our prophets (the First Presidency and apostles). There are many instances in the scriptures, and even Church history, where local leaders have led their flocks astray. A pastor is a shepherd, very much like a bishop. While there have certainly been apostles who misled the people, and who later and left the Church (primarily in the early history of the Church), I have yet to read of any scripture that states that God will permit his prophet, the president of the Church, to lead his people astray.

There are wolves in sheep clothing among the members of the Church, and some of those wolves are in leadership positions, although more at the local levels--the more pastoral positions where they are more directly working with church members.

The apostles and prophets are human and imperfect, just like the rest of us. Because they are imperfect humans, they will make mistakes, but we must be careful how we speak of the Lord's anointed. I suspect they have a more perfect testimony of the savior than many of us. We can look to them for guidance and counsel, and have the Holy Ghost confirm the truth.

I appreciate your comments that we need to get the Holy Ghost to be our guide and to trust in the Lord and none else. Our relationship with our Savior is the single most important preparation we must continually be working on. Physical preparations will help us survive the coming calamities, but spiritual preparation will carry us through to the end.

    2. Please show me a scripture that says God will NEVER permit the leaders of His Church to lead the flock astray with false doctrine.

Sidney Rigdon was pretty high up and look how he ended up. I'm not speaking ill of the Lord's anointed dear brother. One cannot put the Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ into a conjunctive relationship EVER. One is infallible and the other isn't.

I love the leaders of the Church and know they're not perfect. They lead us to celebrate Christmas and Easter. PAGAN WORSHIP HOLIDAYS they know are false traditions that mingle the foul and unholy with the holy name of Jesus Christ. What excuse is there for it? Is it okay? JESUS CHRIST has a specific way to be worshipped and that aint it!
