I was kind of floored when I read this during scrips this morning in 2 Nephi 30:
7 And it shall come to pass that the Jews which are scattered also shall begin to believe in Christ; and they shall begin to gather in upon the face of the land; and as many as shall believe in Christ shall also become a delightsome people.8 And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall commence his work among all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, to bring about the restoration of his people upon the earth.9 And with righteousness shall the Lord God judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth. And he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Man, did verse 10 stand out to me. It made me think of the Farnsworth vision that talks of a division and then consuming fire of those Saints who oppose the truth and what is right and side with the feds who are fed up with what is good and right:
In a sermon about 1857 Apostle Orson Hyde quoted the 1844 Farnsworth Vision "as correctly as my memory will allow me".
Language cannot describe how happy and contented we all were. Being of one heart and one mind, we enjoyed every blessing we desired. Soon Brother Brigham jumped up and clapped hands and cried out, "Now, boys, for Jackson County!" And we were all on the move in a short time.
The next scene I remember, I was within a short distance of Jackson County, arm in arm with one of the brethren walking directly south, being on the west side of the street or road. We saw an old mobocrat walking towards us. He raised his head, and as our eyes caught his, he screeched aloud, withered, and passed away as a thing of naught.
The vision closed, and I found myself standing in the street of Nauvoo where I was when it commenced. (The 3½ Years, p. 177; Visions of the Latter Days, pp. 85-87)

We trust you noted the year that Orson Hyde repeated the Farnsworth Vision -- in which Farnsworth saw hoops -- and invading armies -- and half of the saints going over to their enemies in hopes of finding safety ... Farnsworth saw that the hoops were pounded tightly around the saints -- by the Brethren, using masonic mallets.
Orson Pratt repeated the 1844 Farnsworth Vision in 1857 -- the very year that US Pres James Buchanon signed his secret Surrender or Die Ultimatum against the Mormons -- and the US Congress sent over 6,000 federal troops to invade Utah an execute the Ultimatum ...
Hoops were certainly pounded tightly around the saints ... just like Brother Farnsworth saw in his vision at Nauvoo in 1844 -- tighter and tighter.
Why?

According to Brother Farnsworth -- who later would become Pres of the Manti Temple --
I felt in my heart that the Lord ought not to put such a severe trial on the Saints, when one of the angels came to me and said that it was actually necessary in order to sift out those that were among you who were unworthy of the blessings you now enjoy.
According to Orson Pratt in 1857 --
About this time, an army or force of the enemy came into the neighbourhood and offered protection to all who wished it. The darkness of the clouds, and their awfully-threatening aspect are now past description. The people burst those hoops and sallied out like a flock of sheep, and more than one-half of them went to the enemy for protection.
The scene was so awfully frightful that he was just on the eve of flying himself; but a thought occurred to him to hold on a little longer. He did so. Dark, angry, and frightful were the clouds, indeed! Now is your hour and the power of darkness! Presently the cloud over the Saints burst, and light beamed upon them.

After which Brother Farnsworth saw the fires of hell engulf the wicked while the saints were spared -- all this in an 1844 vision beheld in Nauvoo before Joseph and Hyrum were assassinated in Carthage Jail ...
Were these fires of hell the US Civil War -- among the wicked states who refused sanctuary to the saints?
Apostle BRMcC said on April 6, 1980 -- that our worst persecution is NOT behind us -- and the doors of Carthage shall again enclose the innocent -- and those who finish their journey to Zion will weep more tears than they have ever known before when they stand with the Lamb on Mount Zion? (Ensign, May 1980, The Coming Tests, and Trials and Glory).
Most folks would probably say BRMcC overstated things -- or had the wrong time frame -- because the last 29 years have not been the worst persecution of the saints, but rather some of the most joyful years of pleasant popularity, when Pharaoh's heart was softened -- and the prophet, like most, found favor with the Egyptians -- just like the Lord promised he would do. (Ex 11; Ex 12; D&C 105:23-32)
But Exodus 11 reminds us -- there is still one more plague to come, and the prophet like Moses will be forbidden to help Pharaoh bring the plague under control. When this day of choosing comes -- there seems likely to be an entire separation of the sheep and the goats, like the parable of the wise and foolish virgins ... and the wheat and the tares -- when the Passover Lamb again stands on holy ground to bear his testimony against the beast, the dragon, the false prophet and the whore...
When that day of decision comes -- Apostle BRMcC said those who stand with the Lamb on holy ground will face their worst persecution ever, and the doors of Carthage Jail shall again enclose the innocent -- because Gadianton robbers fill the judgment seats in this and many other nations ...
This 1844 vision of Brother Farnsworth -- that was repeated by Orson Hyde in 1857 -- the year the enemies of Zion -- issued their anti-Mormon Surrender or Die Ultimatum, and sent thousands of armed forces to invade Utah and execute the Ultimatum ... that was signed by US Pres James Buchanon on April 6, 1857 ...
Do these same enemies of Zion now claim authority to rule over this nation, and all nations -- as they carry out the Gadianton robber conspiracy(Global Elites)?
Does the B of M (Bk.of Mormon) really describe the choice we now face ... when the Gadianton robbers, their judges and their false priests in black robes are paid very well to persuade this people to accept Satan's most popular lies?
