I think the earthquake will start in Utah, then spread to California. "Upon my house shall it begin".

DeleteWow, this is quite the historical observation! Yes, get out of Californication and don't leave your heart in San Francisco like Lot's wife. Forget the flowers in your hair and put on the armor of God.
ReplyDeleteOkay, yes, this statement reveals my age but who cares. The truth of the matter is this......if God wills it, California could fall off the map around the servants of God standing in holy places even if the only ground left under their feet is all there is. Oh and then they can walk on water to go wherever else they are led by Him.
Being as I live in California, I want to add my two cents. I often ask Heavenly Father if we are to leave, and the answer for years now has been no. I live in the far northern end of the central valley, it's pretty rural. It can be scary to think of what is to come, will we have time to flee, will we drop off into the ocean, are foreign invaders going to land on the coast and storm inland. But this is where the Lord wants my family to be and there are lots of strong, faithful, saints here that are awake to what is coming and we are preparing just as you guys are. Heavenly Father has us here for a reason, I'm not sure what it is, but that is where faith comes in! Maybe we are here just to help others find faith in God before we all fall into the ocean. I hope that doesn't happen, but I do trust that there is a plan for us, and it is a good plan.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you guys have the right attitude. Lehi didn't flee Jerusalem until he was told to. Up until the point of departure, I'm sure he was fulfilling his mission of warning the people and personal preparation. Hey, that sounds like what the scriptures and the current prophets are teaching us right now, and also what the Spirit is telling you currently.
DeleteHowever, I do feel that a major turning point will come in June, once the Supreme Court reaches it's decision to redefine marriage. Once that's decided and we become illegally hateful bigots in the eyes of the world and in the eyes of the law, then the persecutions in the beginning of the book of 3rd Nephi (and forewarned by several of our current apostles) will repeat themselves in full measure in our time. Then we can expect some major calamities to occur.
Have you ever considered that your purpose might be to help preserve your area from destruction until the Lord's timing is right? Remember the story of Lot. The city was preserved until he was warned to get out. The warning came quickly and his flight was immediate.
DeleteI agree with you. Each of us are in different locations for different reasons. Some for what we have to offer, some for what we need to learn, some for both reasons.

ReplyDeleteIf they time the decision right, towards the 25 and 26 of June, it would be on the 9th of Tammuz, date in which the Babylonians penetrated the walls of Jerusalem before destroying the temple on the 9th of Av. Joseph Smith was murdered also on that same Hebrew date. It was the 17th of Tammuz when SCOTUS intervened to declare Prop 8 unconstitutional in California a couple of years ago, which was the date that replaced 9 Tammuz as the mourning date as the Romans penetrated Jerusalem.
Lots of things are going to happen in VERY short order. The LGBT crowd are simply NOT going to tolerate us for too much longer. Now with Jenner turning woman it is going to get a lot worse for those of us that believe that "gender is a defining charateristic of our identity".
