I defy anyone to tell me the logic and reasoning behind the recent actions of the DHS, except for this eventuality. Seriously - try me. I am open to suggestions - I have an open mind.
Here is something a reader sent to me:
Here's Joel Skousen's latest commentary on the DHS arms buildup:HOMELAND SECURITY GEARING UP FOR DOMESTIC WARAt a time of budget shortfall, government agencies don’t blink an eye about spending millions on equipment and supplies that defy all comprehension. Americans should question why the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) needs to spend $50 million on new uniforms, and untold millions on 2 billion rounds of ammunition and 7,000 new assault rifles. As for its new weaponry the DHS insists its M4 assault rifles are simply “Personal Defense Weapons.” What irony. It would never allow the common citizen to apply that term to his or her use of those weapons, even when civilian versions are limited to semi-auto fire. Infowars.com addsinformation about this buildup and reveals DHS is even stocking up on armored personnel carriers:The DHS has purchased weapons from Heckler & Koch numerous times in the past, including an April 2012 deal worth $143,000 for the company to provide submachine guns. As we reported last week, the DHS is now censoring more information relating to its firearms purchases, including a $1.5 million contract with firearms manufacturer Remington. Having committed to purchasing roughly 2 billion bullets over the course of the last year, it was also recently revealed that the DHS has retrofitted 2,717 "Navistar Defense" armored vehicles for domestic use.So why does the DHS need this kind of armor? —For airport security? Hardly. Check points on Highways? Not really. It has to be related to plans to confront American dissent someday. Jim Hoft of Modern Survival Blog reports:DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP). The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States. It is interesting that DHS has done this via the military in order to mask its domestic use, and its transition to use on the streets of America will take time so as not to raise too many questions. It also takes years to man and train teams to use them. The following link has a video interview of one of the DHS national teams that man this type of vehicle. Incredibly, he claims it is for serving warrants? Really? Talk about overkill! But it does provide a beginning rationale. These obviously former military personnel hired on to train teams in these vehicles don’t seem to have a clue about their real purpose. They’ve most likely been fed the line about delivering warrants. How many warrants does the DHS serve? That’s the US marshal’s job or the county sheriff, although I did find an exception carved out by DHS so they can get in on the lucrative forfeiture laws that allow agencies to go after houses, cars and boats that can be linked to drug dealers. –This is from the US Marshall’s website:Warrant Service: In all actions (except forfeiture actions where the original seizure was made by the Department of Homeland Security or complaint for forfeiture originated with the Department of Homeland Security), the warrant in rem or notice of the complaint is executed by a U.S. Marshal or Deputy U.S. Marshal. In forfeiture actions where the original seizure was made by the Department of Homeland Security or complaint for forfeiture originated with the Department of Homeland Security, the warrant in rem or notice of the complaint may be executed by a U.S. Customs agent. So, DHS does have some warrant serving process, but not enough to need over 2700 MRAP vehicles. Clearly, DHS has concocted an excuse to have these vehicles. They can only be intended to fight a domestic war against American’s resisting gun confiscation or mass arrest.Snopes.com, the perennial debunker of all things conspiratorial says this story isn’t true. But you’d never come to that conclusion by reading their rebuttal:A March 2013 claim that the Department of Homeland Security had "purchased 2,700 tanks" for use in the U.S. was based on a year-old (i.e., March 2012) announcement that the DHS had engaged a contractor to install new chassis on a number of [implying not all of them, which is totally untrue] Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles that were being returned from deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan:The DHS did not "purchase" the MRAP vehicles, nor are those vehicles "tanks"; that agency assigned a contract to provide for the refit/repair work of MRAP vehicles that were coming back from military use overseas, some of which [where’s the evidence of “some” only?] may be repurposed for functions such as carrying Rapid Response Teams to disaster sites. But those corrections (that this was technically not a purchase but a refurbishment or that one source incorrectly called them tanks) don’t alter the core facts at all—that DHS is acquiring all 2717 of these MRAP vehicles and paying for their modification for street use! Whether they did it by “assignment of contract” or by some other sleight of hand is irrelevant. These vehicles are being acquired by DHS, far in excess of any warrant service functions they claim. Snopes insertion (twice) of the notion that only some of these are going to be used by DHSis a clear attempt to downplay the role of these vehicles without any basis in fact and diminishes their claimed objectivity. In fact, Snopes gets in wrong by saying the purpose is to take crews into disaster areas, which the foregoing video statements by DHS does not support.DHS is also planning on making use of drones to surveil Americans without a warrant. CnetNews reported:Homeland Security's specifications for its drones, built by San Diego-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, say they "shall be capable of identifying a standing human being at night as likely armed or not, "meaning carrying a shotgun or rifle. They also specify "signals interception" technology that can capture communications in the frequency ranges used by mobile phones, and "direction finding" technology that can identify the locations of mobile devices or two-way radios. The Electronic Privacy Information Center obtained a partially redacted copy of Homeland Security's requirements for its drone fleet through the Freedom of Information Act and published it this week. CNET unearthed an unredacted copy of the requirements that provides additional information about the aircraft's surveillance capabilities. With all this said, I still do not think this buildup is a sign that martial law is imminent. The preparations for building a domestic DHS army take years, and it takes years to slowly accustom the American people to seeing a militarized DHS on US streets. That’s what openly parading that MRAP vehicle at a local Texas law enforcement “show and tell” was all about. But, it’s coming eventually. Can this be stopped by political action? I don’t think so. We’ve got a government that can print its own money for black projects and doesn’t have to get permission from Congress. That’s been going on for years. The only defense is for armed citizens to be determined not to register or relinquish the arms they now possess under rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment. After all, the DHS fully expects Americans to resist someday. Let’s not disappoint them.
Interesting article. You need to look no further than the nation debt. A financial collapse is coming and the only thing we could have done about that as a people was to elect the right kind of government. We are much to high on handouts right now. When the handouts end the people will rise up. Look no further than Greece. Its my opinion that is what we are heading for but who will bail out America?
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion we are at that point in the book of Mormon when the Lord warns us with a sharp warning (3 Nephi 10-16) and says:
10 And thus commandeth the Father that I should say unto you: At that day when the Gentiles shall asin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, and shall be blifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and cmurders, and dpriestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations; and if they shall do all those things, and shall ereject the fulness of my gospel, behold, saith the Father, I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them.
11 And then will I aremember my covenant which I have made unto my people, O house of Israel, and I will bring my gospel unto them.
12 And I will show unto thee, O house of Israel, that the Gentiles shall not have power over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, O house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the aknowledge of the fulness of my gospel.
13 But if the Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be anumbered among my people, O house of Israel.
14 And I will not suffer my people, who are of the house of Israel, to go through among them, and tread them down, saith the Father.
15 But if they will not turn unto me, and hearken unto my voice, I will suffer them, yea, I will suffer my people, O house of Israel, that they shall go through among them, and shall atread them down, and they shall be as salt that hath lost its savor, which is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of my people, O house of Israel.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, thus hath the Father commanded me—that I should give unto athis people this land for their inheritance.
Needless to say its time to repent O Gentiles! The government sees what is about to happen. Anyone willing to look will see it as well. They are preparing for all out civil war or CW2 after the currency collapses.
#1 pray for guidance and don't stop until you get guidance!
#2 get your family ready to do hard things
#3 Food! say no more
some say invest in gold... what a waste you can't eat gold! its just a shinny pretty pretty that will do you no good when it collapses.
The reason why Obama wants to spend more is to simply collapse the currency quicker. He want's to make sure he is the president when it happens. He thinks that he can remain in power when it does and be the defacto czar. What he doesn't realize is that he is in way over his head.
Hang on for the ride its about to get crazy!
sorry about the length of this reply... i got carried away.
