Folks, my wife suffers from this condition. It was a struggle for her as an abuse survivor at the hands of her step-father. From that, I believe she had PTSD based on certain physical markers I observed while we were dating but I had no data to go on in my naive 20's. She suffered a further blow with the loss of our son and our subsequent attempt to "catch up" when our family had a huge hole in it. We effectively had three kids 18 months apart on each one.
During the last pregnancy, I believe her body became depleted of basic nutrients - most likely B-12 and she descended into a state of post-partum at birth and then chronic lack of sleep with the last one being a fidgety baby in the night, led to hospitalization. If you have too many babies, the mother's body simply will deprive the mother to ensure the forming baby gets enough building blocks to sustain it's growth.
So, while she was recovering from her first bout with mental illness, I came across Tony Stephan's story (his wife, with nine kids, committed suicide). He is an amazing man - and when I met him at a meet-n-greet here in Cardston, I was floored that I met one of my inspirations in life.
And he truly is inspiring; he can preach a mean sermon. He UNDERSTANDS that the Book of Mormon was written for us as LDS. He understands we are close to the Lord's coming. He is one that questions orthodoxy that the MSM and the gubmint throws down our throats (propaganda), therefore, I hold him in esteem and respect him.
