I have talked about the lunar eclipse on April 3rd, 33AD which would put the crucifixion exactly on the Passover weekend that the NT purports it to be.
We know that a Rabbi has to be a minimum of 30 years of age, male (typically first-born) and also married. So.... the earliest date that he could have declared himself in fulfillment of this prophecy would have been in 30AD - because His ministry lasted only three years prior to the crucifixion. The "Acceptable Year of the Lord" would have been a declaration of a Jubilee Year (wherein He talked partly about the "release of the captives" - which occurred in part when He went to the Spirit World right after His crucifixion to preach to them that were there since the days of Noah, and many went to an untimely demise, not having been raised in the household of righteousness - and then having turned from the truth - which is worse than just being raised in a wicked world with no formal instilling of good values).
If 33AD was the year, then there is a conflict with what Rabbi Ben Samuel had to say. Whatever the case, it would a multiple of seven years off of the last Shabbat Year of 2016, which would put it at 2030 or thereabouts. I am still digging into this to understand it more perfectly - and time will be on my side to prove it one way or the other.

I've said this several times before, nobody knows exactly when a Jubilee year is because the Jews didn't keep it as God directed. Additionally, with the various periods of captivity and exile, it's difficult to identify when a Jubilee might have been, and when it should be observed.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, the Jubilee occurs in the year after the 49th year, which is the 50th year, but it is also the first year of the next 49. So, the Jubilee occurs every 49 years, not 50.
My personal study led me to believe that the Savior was either born in a Jubilee year or performed the atonement in a Jubilee year. Personally, I lean towards his birth year as being in a Jubilee year. While I had performed several interesting calculations and correlations, the basic of my conclusion was this: Because the Jubilee is symbolic of the Savior's atonement, it makes the most sense that his birth or death occurred in a Jubilee year.

Footnote 39 in the Joshua's Seventieth Jubilee article is intriguing. But it certainly doesn't support any quick timeline to the Second Coming. Basically Mr. Pratt's thought is this, the latest Jubilee (which was from Sep 2008 to 2009) began the final Jubilee period before the millennium, a season referred to as "The burning."
Interesting that the season essentially began with the great recession.
And he isn't saying that is when the Second Coming would be.

It currently appears that there is a unit which could be called a Grand Jubilee, which would be composed of 7 jubilees, or 7x7x7 = 343 years. If so, then 2009 marks 10 Grand Jubilees from 1422 BC, so that makes it more rare than just any jubilee. Moreover, the next larger grouping appears to be what could be called the Millennial Jubilee comprising 3 Grand Jubilees, or 1,029 years. The earth’s temporal history could also be divided into seven Millennial Jubilees (see my “Jubilee Calendar”, Sections 1.4-1.5). How would that correlate to our calendar? Christ was born in a jubilee year, and the Fifth Millennial Jubilee would most likely have begun on Sun 3 Oct 2 BC, a few days prior to the birth of John the Baptist (see “Jubilee Calendar” section 3.3). That would be the upcoming jubilee discussed in this article, beginning Sun 28 Sep 2008. Thus, the coming “Burning Jubilee” of 49 years might well include the “Burning of the Fields”, being the destruction of the wicked in preparation for the coming of the Savior.
In my own mind & The Lord being a numbers man , for many years I have thought it would be merciful and orderly for The Lord to leave His Restored Church on the earth for 200 years before He came in His Glory to receive His Bride Arrayed in Beautiful Garments.......The Church of The Firstborn.... As well as those who will be worthy of the coming terrestrial day when His Knowledge will cover the earth as the waters cover the seas and all will know The Lord..... Thy Kingdom come , Thy Will be done ,on earth as it is in Heaven...... For Thine is The Kingdom and The Power and The Glory , Forever . Amen
