Generally, the states with the biggest cities are the ones on the list laid down quite some time ago before this ever became an issue.
We are oh so close to our utter destruction. It is painful. I have been in a state of mourning for quite some time over this once-great nation. We had it all. It has been squandered away, piece by piece and bit by bit. I have watched loved-ones squander away greatness and trade their futures for a mess of pottage. Sad - quite sad. What can you do? People must have their agency.
They also must endure the consequences that were spelled out millennia ago. You can choose how you want to, but you cannot choose the consequences that will beset you. It is oh so simple.

What was the most interesting was the comments associated with the news article. Granted, the choice of the term anarchic may have been incorrect from a purely political standpoint but the governor has a point. As self indulgence and narcissism spread and increase among the people as a whole their respect for proper laws and ethical behavior wane. A civil society as envisioned by the framers of the US Constitution and inspired by the great creator requires self control, a willingness to sacrifice for others, and a prudent morality that does not require much in the way of external controls. As self control fades, crime increases and savagery grows until a clamor goes up to "those in charge" to impose tyranny as a way to check the bedlam.
ReplyDelete"We" have then voluntarily placed ourselves is chains and line up like sheep for the political slaughter. Look for example at how easily we received, and some even begged, for the USA Patriot Act, the NDAA with it's provisions for indefinite detention of any body "suspected" of being an enemy of the state - with no due process required! How many begged for the intrusiveness and inconceivably Orwellian and glibly named Affordable Care Act. Our people line up for bread and circuses while the barbarians are tearing down the city walls from the inside. The golden horde with their communist cousins to their West are praising the work of the fellow travelers and useful idiots that are performing the work of cultural and moral destruction in the once great countries of the Western European / North American zones.
Most if not all of the followers of this blog are LDS. We have to remember that there are good gentiles and non LDS types who are, and will be good allies in the quest for Christ. Be good leaders, have a servants heart, and be the salt that retains it's savor.
Look at the member reaction from New Zealand. They are pretty ripe too...Elder Oaks was pretty much a lightning rod there in their regional broadcast.
