Wow - this really hits the spot on common sense and the state of our affairs today. A post from FB:
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Did we not just hold “a solemn assembly” and did President Nelson not call upon us to “sanctify a fast” that the “bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet”?
Could it be more apparent that we are fast approaching the fulfillment of the parable of the ten virgins? And seeing that the missionaries have been called home and the temples are all closed, how long will the Lord withhold his judgments.
President Nelson has called upon us to fast, that the Lord might overcome the effects of COVID-19 in the land. However, it’s becoming more and more apparent to many that COVID-19 is being used by power-hungry globalist types as an excuse or a means of extending their power over America and the nations of the earth.
So it may well be that the blessing we seek at this time of crisis will be anti-viral in more ways than one, or so we can hope… And this anti-viral event could very well be the long-awaited cleansing that we know is to precede the Lord’s coming to America.
We live in interesting times!
Only the greatest of fools would deny it. And this is why I am left shaking my head when I get the hand to the face when I open my mouth. We caught up on BoM vids and one of the last ones with Alma and Amulek getting the hand to the face among the Zoramites was all too familiar. The rameumpton likely, the fine linens, the persecution of the more humble followers of Christ by the wealthy and well-heeled bretheren; typical. Our fine sanctuaries and neglecting of the poor (in some cases), and we wonder how we could be judged as a people. Folks, it is coming.
Remember Laman and Lemuel, when it comes to impending judgments declared by Isaiah and even modern Samuels on the Wall, such as Spencer, etc. Lehi fought the same stoutness of heart within the community and within his own family. It was to their folly, to be sure:
1 Nephi 2:13
Book of Mormon
13 Neither did they
believe that Jerusalem, that great city, could be
destroyed according to the words of the prophets. And they were like unto the Jews who were at Jerusalem, who sought to take away the life of my father.
A great primer on the topic:
