After my kid died, he and my mother came back to my dad to give him specific counsel. He never sought it out, nor have we. It just happened organically.
I believe my wife's (deceased) father was allowed to encourage me to marry her, when she dropped the bombshell that she was an abuse survivor at the hands of her step-dad.
When you start making overt action to seek this stuff out, you have crossed a line. I think that it often comes from a lack of personal revelation, so a fallen/forsaken people turn to the "next best thing" when they cannot manage to get direction from the Holy Ghost. They turn to unholy ghosts, as it were.....:
The SCRIPTURES are PLAIN as PLAIN can be concerning the WICKED practice of seeking to communicate with the Dead.
This is called NECROMANCY
nec·ro·man·cy/ˈnekrəˌmansē/Submitnounthe practice of communicating with the dead, especially in order to predict the future.
Also known as witchcraft, sorcery, or black magic in general.synonyms: sorcery, (black) magic, witchcraft, witchery, wizardry, the occult, occultism, voodoo, hoodoo; More
What is a familiar spirit?
Familiar spirits and spirit guides are under the control of their master, Satan. They influence people to spread lies and deceit in order to thwart the kingdom of God. To knowingly open oneself to the work of demons is an evil thing:
Isaiah 8
19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
Leviticus 19
31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 20
6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Deuteronomy 18
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
2 Corinthians 11
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
1 Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils
1 Chronicles 10
13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it;
1 John 4
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1 Timothy 4
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Matthew 22
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
I just browsed their site. No sign of necromancy. They are talking about NDE's, which are totally legit, and talking about the spirit world, but I see nothing about trying to overtly contact people over there.
ReplyDeleteI posted a disagreeing comment yesterday. Do you only post friendly comments. Your post here is unproven to me. Show me.
ReplyDeleteCurious as to what you think of Julie Rowes involvement with energy healing. Seems like the muscle testing may be similar to dousing?
ReplyDeleteThis post is completely false and misleading about my series. Please at least watch the episode before posting this. In no way are we promoting necromancy. We aren't seeking to contact the dead. We share a few experiences where people have seen the ghosts of famous people, but then we switch to discussing near death experiences such as Suzanne Freeman who spoke with the Founding Fathers on the other side. We conclude by explaining that Jesus Christ has been resurrected and will return. The proper thing to do would be to take this post down. I have enjoyed your site over the years, but your post is completely wrong. Please contact me directly if you would like.
