RAINBOWS, PINK UNICORNS AND FLAMBOYANT THRIFT SHOPS IN A SLATED CITY

Folks, part of the problem we have in this country is that we are a little too friendly towards many that we should never be friendly with.  I have been hearing disturbing reports of many who are openly homosexual (and who have partners - with all that may imply) receiving callings in wards.  I can tell you right now, if I had a Bishop who chose to call someone into one of these capacities (and heaven forbid Scouts!!), I would probably make a formal protest with the Stake President asking for toilet seat protectors in the bathrooms, and depending on the outcome, either move or attend another ward until things were resolved properly.  Thank goodness, I can still say there is much within the walls of our Church that I find repulsive and repugnant - and many people, as well - while still firmly stating that I have a testimony of the doctrinal set.

I have no problem with people who struggle with issues of sexuality.  I love women - and as a raging 18 year old, wondered if I would ever make it to the altar still a virgin.  With raging hormones, as a pre-missionary, I tell my wife how bad things were, being a male and all - and point her to the rooster out in the yard and go, "Yep - pretty much.....".  All I can say is that I am grateful for my 40's when things simmer down and now its my wife's turn as she reaches her sexual peak. I would like to have the inside scoop on who programmed the hormonal curves into men and women - they sure were twisted on the phasing and the amplitude settings.... :)  I guess without that, there would be little "multiplying and replenishing" going on in this old world.  If I were to point to a single part of the devil's playground where he snags the most people in the most catastrophic ways, it would be in the hormones arena.  If I were to point to the area that I have had to give my greatest focus, it would be controlling the natural man in that arena.  WHAT A BATTLE!

Many do not struggle in that arena - and they may have other struggles.  Some, with ultra high libidos find themselves in a constant battle to subdue the natural man.  Some find themselves throwing in the towel and often resorting to aberrant sexual practises including masturbation, pornography, prostitution, homosexuality (the bath house scene), etc.  I feel for these people.  Many members of the Church struggle with these issues - but still seek to do the will of the Lord in a humble and repentant state.  I have no problem with them - in the least and expect that so long as they endure to the end, striving (perfection is not required), then we will enjoy mutual felicity in the Celestial Kingdom.  Then there are others who "kick against the pricks and persecute the Saints of God" for having held firm on their values.  These are the ones I have little patience for - as they will be the means of an attempt to bring the Church - and the value set that makes it what it is - down.

I do not judge the person who is struggling - but I do judge that entire depraved culture and those who openly support it while attempting to tear down what is good and right.

Here is a photo of me in Frisco on the "judgment tour" (joke), while we were looking for some good Chinese food, wearing my favorite shirt complete with double entendre.  Behind me is a second hand store "OUT OF THE CLOSET - The World's Most Fabulous Thrift Store", complete with parking in the rear and you can just make out that it is located on "Polk" street......  Yep - when my wife pointed that out to me - I just had to have a picture of it so I could mock it.....  Great shot, hon!  The only thing that would have been better would have been getting the cable car in the pic that came along a few moments later.  That would have sealed it as the funniest "on-location" pic I have ever seen.

While I appreciate an excellent pun and a good sense of humor - NO THANKS!

Folks - the goose on that city is so cooked!  If you live there - and like what I have to say ^^^^ - get out now.  The next two years will not be good for that place - nor the Bohemian Grove - nor any other groves in a few hundred mile radius of it.....

Two words - Abomination Desolation.

  2. We are too friendly to those we shouldn't? Oh really? So Jesus taught us to shun and avoid those who sin? Wow, you are seriously messed up.

    1. Seriously messed up? Really? I have to strongly disagree with this statement. As a therapist I had a 14-year old boy as a client. He was removed from the care of his father at 7 years old because his father beat him. When he was my client he told me that his dad had reentered his life and wanted to reestablish a relationship with him. I told him he should ask his dad if he’d attended therapy or taken any anger management classes. He responded by telling me, “I can’t do that. That would be rude!” My response was, “Is that more rude than beating a seven year old child?”
There have been times when even the best people have entered into unholy alliances such as when Abraham rescued lot. He also rescued others of Sodom (Genesis 14). When the king of Sodom told him to keep the spoils Abraham responded unequivocally, “I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich (verse 23).”
We are too friendly with evil people! We tolerate too much. We need to be appropriate with those who sin by remembering that the Lord said His doctrine is not to stir people up to anger with each other (3 Nephi 11:30. Nevertheless, we also need to stand up for what is right truthfully, boldly and nobly. Sometimes this means we must offend others. As far as I’m concerned it’s messed up to tolerate a full grown man beating a child to say nothing of child rapists, homosexuals, or obama supporters.
To illustrate my point further, last night I went to one of the local gas stations to have my propane tank filled up. The attendant refused to fill it claiming he couldn’t fill a tank that was more than 12 years old. I bought mine in 2011. I pointed this out to him and expressed doubt that the store would have kept a tank on their shelf for 11 years. He pointed to a 0 stamped on the tank saying it meant it was manufactured in the year 2000. Of course this was ridiculous. The price tag was still on the tank with a 2011 date.
When I pointed out his error the attendant was offended. He told me, “I know how to do my job! I don’t have time to stand here and argue with you!” He proceeded to abuse me even as I walked to my car—with my empty tank. Note that it was the attendant who was offended and became abusive. I wasn’t arguing other than to point out his error. I had no emotion and was without judgment aimed at him—other than his lack of credibility. It was a valuable life lesson regarding how to handle those who are offended by truth. Just because someone will be offended doesn’t justify our withholding the truth from them. The appropriate response was to walk away and go get my tank filled elsewhere.
