A year ago (July 26th, 2012), my wife's VT companion and husband returned from doing a day of ordinance work in Cardston, Alberta. The windows on their car had been blown out and they had to drive it home without a front windshield. It was a late model Honda Accord. Most of the town was harshly devastated by golf ball-sized (or larger) hail which destroyed gutters and house siding, pummeled roofs, smashed cars to the smoothness of a golf ball and battered many trees to the point of defoliation. The swath of damage was 22 miles long by approx 1 mile wide. Here is a picture of the cloud (note the Cardston Temple in the lower, right corner):
President Wood (previous post) said to a local farmer/rancher that they should never let a property out of their hands because one day, it would be the site of a tent city. The Church recently bought 230 acres of this piece of land and petitioned the Cardston city council to let them turn it into a "Girl's Camp". The city denied them. The local leadership asked the members of the local stakes to turn out to a County meeting where the same proposal would be brought up. They did - and the support was overwhelming to the point that they had to get a bigger hall which was filled to overflowing. Again, this proposal was denied. Here is the youtube of the county event:

I just heard that the attempt to rezone some pristine southern Alberta ranch land to facilitate the MORG building a camp for young women was defeated by Cardston County council. I am surprised and elated by the result. I would have thought that in Cardston County anything the MORG wanted was a slam dunk.....I guess not...

Maybe they've finally figured it out. Give them an inch, they take a mile.
One day a girls camp, next day a temple or stake center.
Within a short amount of time, the hail storm hit. Obviously, the corrupt chumps in power who over-rode the good people of Cardston, Leavitt, Mountain View, etc had forgotten their pioneer roots and the basics of freedom of choice and property rights. Time is short - and the Lord will not be denied. If they keep this up, they will soon have a clearing move that the survivors will be able to point to as a watershed moment in their history.
Here is a youtube that illustrates how bad it was:

What can be taken from this? Do not impede the Lord's purposes or you will be swept off the face of the land with the wicked...... That was nothing - and you ain't seen nothing yet, baby! What is coming will astound the most hardened and cynical among the people.
The other lesson? Get yourselves out from among the wicked and those who put at naught the counsels of the Lord - or you stand a good chance of being among those who are driven, slaughtered, burned, drowned and otherwise extricated from the face of this land by a Just God who has been merciful, long-suffering, patient and otherwise exasperated at the behavior of His wayward children. Instead of being humble, submissive, patient to our loving Father, we have been haughty, cynical, disobedient, contemptuous, high-minded, wicked, filled with hatred for what is good and right, subversive, dismissive and otherwise ridiculous in our attitudes. Does one think that one cannot expect the full measure of the wrath of God at some point for the above attitudes? I think not - in fact, after a full measure of that wrath - even having been delivered over to the buffetings of satan and his minions, if necessary, the confessing statement will be as knees are bent in humility, "Thy ways are just, Lord". Is it not easier to do the humbling and the bending of the knees up front, rather than suffer? Is it because of our things, our fairness and beauty and our supposed learning that we think we can put at naught the things of God? What vainness, foolishness and an utter waste.
I pointed out to an Elder in EQ today that God does not do "precision strikes", but rather is a "carpet bomber" when it comes to delivering divine judgments (individual circumstances may apply - legal disclaimer). It does not state that a part of the city sank into the sea, or a portion of the city was consumed by fire or buried in the depths of the land. It says that the various cities were destroyed - and implied that it was the whole city. Where you find yourself surrounded by the wicked, its time to roll if they will not bring themselves up.
Speaking of cities being destroyed....I just read this article about huge empty caverns under the Flagstaff area (http://azdailysun.com/news/local/infinite-thirst-flagstaff-s-bottomless-pit-the-subject-of-rumor/article_aabc2eea-ec4f-11e2-bb51-001a4bcf887a.html). It made me think of cities being swallowed up by the earth. I suspect the face of this country will look very different in a decade (or less).
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion Flagstaff AZ is the San Francisco of Arizona with NAU being the center hub. It probably needs to be swallowed up!... good riddance!
DeleteDo your ward members like you or do they think you are obnoxious and fanatical?
ReplyDeleteWell I just regained respect for you for letting my long, rant, comment go through to be posted. I literally think you are great, with a ton of inspiration and knowledge. I just think you can present some of it in a kinder way. That being said, no one is perfect and if you knew me I am sure you could call me out on my weaknesses because I surely have them. Keep posting because I think you really are helping to educate people in watching for the Saviors imminent return. I can't wait. I am tired of what this world has become. I am ready to live in peace one way or another.
ReplyDeletekeep calling it as you see it. A spade is a spade. This is your journal and it doesn't need to be politically correct -just correct. Which is why I love your blog, and the sacrifice you put into it. However, I was a bit surprised about the "Man Dyke" posting. That daughter of perdition is too foul a being to deserve a spot on your blog along with all the other pearls of wisdom. The thought of her makes me feel dirty. I go to your site to be uplifted. The sad thing is, as far as the gadiantons in Washington go, she is relatively tame. -which is a really disturbing thought. On a side note, keep your children away from the University of California. In response to the comment posted a few entries above: I don't believe God can love something that is so completely ungodly, filthy, degenerate, and devilish. LEV 20:23 makes for an interesting read.
