Any of the old timers here ever read the book called "WORLDS IN COLLISION by Immanuel Velikovsky?" It is truly fascinating and a book way ahead of it's time. Velikovsky does a controversial study which posits a cosmic history of planetary cataclysms. According to Velikovsky, these epic catastrophes geophysically altered earth, radically affecting even its magnetic polarity and solar orbit. The great MYTHOLOGIES of the world, in particular the story of the Hebrew EXODUS, are cited to substantiate the theory that Venus may have originally been a comet whose near-collision with earth was the Physical Agency (ascribed to God in The Torah/Old Testament)of the terrifying tribulation called THE TEN PALGUES:
"The Russian-born scholar was a friend and colleague of Albert Einstein, a student of Freud's first pupil Wilhelm Stekel, and Israel's first practicing psychoanalyst. Some of his writings appeared in Freud's Imago. In 1930 he published the first paper to suggest that epileptics would be characterized by abnormal encephalograms. He was the founder and editor of the scholarly publication, Scripta Universitatis, the physics and mathematics section being prepared by Einstein."

Included in the same volume was a large section on the ancient war god, whom Velikovsky identified as the planet Mars. He claimed that centuries after the Venus catastrophes, Mars moved on an unstable orbit intersecting that of Earth, leading to a series of Earth-disturbing events in the eighth and seventh centuries B.C........
For many years after publication(The movie was 1953) of Worlds in Collision, Velikovsky was persona non grata on college campuses. He was denied the opportunity to publish articles in scientific journals. When he attempted to respond to critical articles in such journals, they rejected these responses. The attitude of established science was typified by the reactions of astronomers. Michigan astronomer Dean McLaughlin exclaimed, "Lies -- yes lies." In response to a correspondent, astronomer Harold Urey, wrote: "My advice to you is to shut the book [Worlds in Collision] and never look at it again in your lifetime."
For Velikovsky, this was the beginning of a personal "dark age". But remarkably, his friendship with Albert Einstein was unaffected, and Einstein met with him often, maintaining an extended correspondence as well, encouraging Velikovksy to look past the misbehavior of the scientific elite. In discussion with Einstein, Velikovsky predicted that Jupiter would be found to emit radio noises, and he urged Einstein to use his influence to have Jupiter surveyed for radio emission, though Einstein himself disputed Velikovsky's reasoning. But in April 1955 radio noises were discovered from Jupiter, much to the surprise of scientists who had thought Jupiter was too cold and inactive to emit radio waves. That discovery led Einstein to agree to assist in developing other tests of Velikovsky's thesis. But the world's most prominent scientist died only a few weeks later.
Velikovsky expected other discoveries through space exploration. He claimed that the planet Venus would be found to be extremely hot, since in his reconstruction, the planet was "candescent" in historical times. His thesis also implied the likelihood of a massive Venusian atmosphere, residue of its former "cometary" tail. And he claimed that the Earth would be found to have a magnetosphere reaching at least to the moon, because he was convinced that in historical times the Earth exchanged electrical charge with other planetary bodies.
Arrival of the space age was a critical juncture for Velikovsky, as data returned from the Moon, from Mars, and from Venus begin to recast our views of these celestial bodies. In 1959, Dr. Van Allen discovered that the Earth has a magnetosphere. In the early sixties, scientists realized, much to their surprise, that the planet Venus has a surface temperature as high as 900 degrees Fahrenheit, hot enough to melt lead. "The temperature is much higher than anyone would have predicted," wrote Cornell Mayer.
Things grew more promising for Velikovsky. In 1962, two scientists, Valentin Bargmann, professor of physics at Princeton, and Lloyd Motz, professor of astronomy at Columbia, urged that Velikovsky's conclusions "be objectively re-examined." In support of this reconsideration, they cited his prior predictions about radio noises from Jupiter, the terrestrial magnetosphere, and an unexpectedly high temperature of Venus......
Here, on the other hand, is the opinion of the two authors of Thunderbolts of the Gods, each having investigated the thesis of Worlds in Collision for more than three decades. David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill write: "The authors of this book believe that Velikovsky was incorrect on many particulars, some of them crucial to a proper understanding of ancient events. But his place among the great pioneers of science will be secure if he was correct on the underlying tenets"
Talbott and Thornhill do not accept Velikovsky's specific chronology of events, and they place the age of planetary upheaval just prior to the flowering of monumental civilization, which they see as a creative act of human REMEMBERING. Rather than declare Velikovsky to be categorically "right" or "wrong", they cite these claims as crucial to any assessment of Velikovsky's contribution to science -
1. The present order of the planets is new. In geologically recent times the planetary system was unstable, and at least some planets moved on much different courses than they do today.
2. Erratic movements of the planets led to global catastrophe on Earth.
3. Through rigorous cross-cultural comparison of the ancient traditions, an investigator can reconstruct the celestial dramas.
One more principle must also be included, according to the authors. Velikovsky said that the key to reconciling his claims with scientific theory would be ELECTROMAGNETISM, a force in which astronomers and cosmologists had no interest in 1950. He stated that if the Sun and the planets are not the "electrically neutral" bodies astronomers assume, then even "the law of gravitation must come into question."
In the years since Velikovsky wrote these words, a new perspective has emerged from space age discovery. A universe teeming with charged particles-the "Electric Universe" of Wallace Thornhill and others -- is redefining everything we see in space. But you would not know this by listening to David Morrison, whose words still echo the electrically inactive, purely gravitational 1950's vision of the heavens.
The electrical theorists say that the picture of the universe has changed, and all of the theoretical sciences will give way to a revolution in human understanding. The authors of Thunderbolts of the Gods summarize the new view in these words:
"From the smallest particle to the largest galactic formation, a web of electrical circuitry connects and unifies all of nature, organizing galaxies, energizing stars, giving birth to planets and, on our own world, controlling weather and animating biological organisms. There are no isolated islands in an 'electric universe.'"
The confidence of the electrical theorists comes from the testability of the hypothesis. Its every component leads to implications and predictions that can be either confirmed or falsified through direct investigation. Joseph Smith's most profound and enlightening sermon on the signs of the last days, given on the temple grounds at Nauvoo in April, 1843, demonstrates his views of the origin and nature of those signs, as well as our ability to recognize them for what they are.
"There will be wars and rumors of wars, signs in the heavens above and on the earth beneath, the sun turned into darkness and the moon to blood, earthquakes in divers places, the seas heaving beyond their bounds; … " (History of the Church, 5:337.)
Of particular interest is his addition of a truly remarkable sign to the customary list — one to which Latter-day Saints should give special heed. "… then will appear one grand sign of the coming of the Son of Man in heaven." (Ibid.) This is clearly a reiteration of the Savior’s statement in Matthew 24 wherein he said, "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven …."
Until this last dispensation of the gospel, no other prophet or passage of scripture had added the superlative "grand sign." Typically, all the signs are given equal weight or value; none is designated as special or more notable. Indeed, the only other mention is found in modern revelation wherein a slightly altered version of the term is used. Speaking of the last days, the Lord declared to Joseph in December 1842, "And immediately there shall appear a great sign in heaven, and all people shall see it together." (Doctrine & Covenants 88:93.)
Indeed, Joseph may have intended that this sermon, given a mere four months after the revelation recorded in Doctrine & Covenants, reaffirm and amplify on that revelation since Section 88 is remarkable for its catalog of latter-day signs.
On that occasion, Joseph continued his sermon by explaining what that marvelous sign might be. "What will the world do? They will say it is a planet, a comet, &c. But the Son of Man will come as the sign of the coming of the Son of Man, which will be as the light of the morning cometh out of the east. (Ibid.)
It is a stunning statement, when carefully considered. The greatest or grandest of signs will be a comet or planet. Assumably, this comet or planet will be doing something well out of the ordinary to attract special attention.
Note that the Prophet is not saying the world’s assessment is incorrect, as some have supposed. Rather, he is merely noting that the worldly or scientific terminology for this eye-catching sign would be "a planet, a comet, &c."
In light of what modern science has discovered in recent years about rogue comets and asteroids, this observation by Joseph Smith is striking. Mention of this great or grand sign is unique to this dispensation and is therefore worthy of special attention by Mormons — especially in light of what occurred in the heavens a decade ago.

early patriarch, Homer M. Brown, was asked about the Eliza R. Snow hymn. His answer includes a second-hand account that claims that the Prophet Joseph Smith supported the star theory. The direct quote below was taken from Robert W. Smith, The Last Days, Salt Lake City, Utah: Pyramid Press, 1947, p. 215.
"Brother Brown, will you give us some light and explanation of the 5th verse on page 386 of the Hymn book which formed another planet (sic), according to 'the Hymn of Eliza R. Snow.
"Yes, sir, I think I can answer your question. Sister Eliza R. Snow, in visiting my grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Brown), was asked by my grandmother: 'Eliza where did you get your ideas about the Ten Lost Tribes being taken away as you explain in your wonderful hymn?
"She answered as follows: 'why, my husband (The Prophet Joseph Smith) told me about it.'
"Have you any other information that your grandfather ever gave you, as contained in any conversation with the Prophet Joseph Smith?
"I have! One evening in Nauvoo, just after dark, somebody rapped at the door vigorously. Grandfather said he was reading the Doctrine and Covenants. He rose hurriedly and answered the summons at the door, where he met the Prophet Joseph Smith.

Now,' he said, 'Scientists will tell you that it is not scientific: that two planets corning together would be disastrous to both; but, when two planets or other objects are traveling in the same direction and one of them with a little greater velocity than the other, it would not be disastrous, because the one traveling faster would overtake the other. Joseph Smith's most profound and enlightening sermon on the signs of the last days, given on the temple grounds at Nauvoo in April, 1843, demonstrates his views of the origin and nature of those signs, as well as our ability to recognize them for what they are.
"There will be wars and rumors of wars, signs in the heavens above and on the earth beneath, the sun turned into darkness and the moon to blood, earthquakes in divers places, the seas heaving beyond their bounds; … " (History of the Church, 5:337.)
Of particular interest is his addition of a truly remarkable sign to the customary list — one to which Latter-day Saints should give special heed. "… then will appear one grand sign of the coming of the Son of Man in heaven." (Ibid.) This is clearly a reiteration of the Savior’s statement in Matthew 24 wherein he said, "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven …."
Until this last dispensation of the gospel, no other prophet or passage of scripture had added the superlative "grand sign." Typically, all the signs are given equal weight or value; none is designated as special or more notable. Indeed, the only other mention is found in modern revelation wherein a slightly altered version of the term is used. Speaking of the last days, the Lord declared to Joseph in December 1842, "And immediately there shall appear a great sign in heaven, and all people shall see it together." (Doctrine & Covenants 88:93.)
Indeed, Joseph may have intended that this sermon, given a mere four months after the revelation recorded in Doctrine & Covenants, reaffirm and amplify on that revelation since Section 88 is remarkable for its catalog of latter-day signs.
On that occasion, Joseph continued his sermon by explaining what that marvelous sign might be. "What will the world do? They will say it is a planet, a comet, &c. But the Son of Man will come as the sign of the coming of the Son of Man, which will be as the light of the morning cometh out of the east. (Ibid.)
It is a stunning statement, when carefully considered. The greatest or grandest of signs will be a comet or planet. Assumably, this comet or planet will be doing something well out of the ordinary to attract special attention.
Note that the Prophet is not saying the world’s assessment is incorrect, as some have supposed. Rather, he is merely noting that the worldly or scientific terminology for this eye-catching sign would be "a planet, a comet, &c."
In light of what modern science has discovered in recent years about rogue comets and asteroids, this observation by Joseph Smith is striking. Mention of this great or grand sign is unique to this dispensation and is therefore worthy of special attention by Mormons — especially in light of what occurred in the heavens a decade ago.

early patriarch, Homer M. Brown, was asked about the Eliza R. Snow hymn. His answer includes a second-hand account that claims that the Prophet Joseph Smith supported the star theory. The direct quote below was taken from Robert W. Smith, The Last Days, Salt Lake City, Utah: Pyramid Press, 1947, p. 215.
"Brother Brown, will you give us some light and explanation of the 5th verse on page 386 of the Hymn book which formed another planet (sic), according to 'the Hymn of Eliza R. Snow.
"Yes, sir, I think I can answer your question. Sister Eliza R. Snow, in visiting my grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Brown), was asked by my grandmother: 'Eliza where did you get your ideas about the Ten Lost Tribes being taken away as you explain in your wonderful hymn?
"She answered as follows: 'why, my husband (The Prophet Joseph Smith) told me about it.'
"Have you any other information that your grandfather ever gave you, as contained in any conversation with the Prophet Joseph Smith?
"I have! One evening in Nauvoo, just after dark, somebody rapped at the door vigorously. Grandfather said he was reading the Doctrine and Covenants. He rose hurriedly and answered the summons at the door, where he met the Prophet Joseph Smith.
"He said, 'Brother Brown, can you keep me over night, the mobs are after me?' Grandfather answered, 'Yes. Sir. It will not be the first time, come in.'
"'Al1 right,' the Prophet said, shutting the door quickly. He came in and sat down. Grandmother said: 'Brother Joseph, have you had your supper?'
"'No he answered, 'I have not.' So she prepared him a meal, and he ate it.
Afterward they were in conversation relative to the principles of the Gospel. During the conversation the ten lost tribes were mentioned. Grandfather said, 'Joseph, where are the ten tribes?' He said, "Come to the door and I will show you, come on Sister Brown, I want you both to see.'
"It being a starlight night the Prophet said: "Brother Brown, you show me the Polar Star?'" 'Yes sir,' he said, pointing to the North Star. 'There it is.' 'Yes, I know' said the Prophet, 'but which one? There are a lot of stars there.'
"Grandfather said: 'Can you see the points of the Dipper?' The Prophet answered, 'Yes,' 'Well," he said, "trace the pointers, pointing up to the largest star. That is the North Star.'
"The Prophet answered: 'You are correct. Now,' he said, pointing toward the star, 'do you discern a little twinkler to the right and below the Polar star, which we would judge to be about the distance of 20' from here?'
"Grandfather answered, 'Yes, sir.'
"The Prophet said: 'Sister Brown, do you see that star also?'
"Her answer was, 'Yes, sir.'
"'Very well then,' he said, 'Let's go in.' After re-entering the house the Prophet said: 'Brother Brown, I noticed when I came in that you were reading the Doctrine and Covenants. Will you kindly get it?'
"He did so. The Prophet turned to Section 133 and read, commencing at the 26th verse and through the 34th verse. He said, after reading the 31st verse, 'Now let me ask you what would cause the Everlasting Hills to tremble with more violence than the coming together of two planets. And the place whereon they reside will return to this earth. Now,' he said, 'Scientists will tell you that it is not scientific: that two planets corning together would be disastrous to both; but, when two planets or other objects are traveling in the same direction and one of them with a little greater velocity than the other, it would not be disastrous, because the one traveling faster would overtake the other. Now, that would cause the mountains of ice to melt quicker than the heat caused by the friction of the two planets coming together?' And then he asked the question. 'Did you ever see a meteor falling that was not red hot? So that would cause the mountains of ice to melt.'
"'And relative to the Great Highway ,which should be cast up when the planet returns to its place in the great Northern Waters, it will form a highway and waters will recede and roll back.' He continued, 'Now as to their coming back from the Northern Waters; they will return from the north because their planet will return to the place from whence it was taken.'
"Relative to the waters rolling back to the north. If you take a vessel of water and swing it rapidly around your head you won’t spill any, but if you stop the motion gradually, it will begin to pour out. Now,' he said, 'Brother Brown, at the present time this earth is rotating very rapidly. When this planet returns it will make the earth that much heavier, and it will then revolve slower, and that will account for the waters receding from the earth for a great while, but it has now turned and is proceeding rapidly eastward.'"
"The Russian-born scholar was a friend and colleague of Albert Einstein, a student of Freud's first pupil Wilhelm Stekel, and Israel's first practicing psychoanalyst. Some of his writings appeared in Freud's Imago. In 1930 he published the first paper to suggest that epileptics would be characterized by abnormal encephalograms. He was the founder and editor of the scholarly publication, Scripta Universitatis, the physics and mathematics section being prepared by Einstein."
It was while researching a book on Freud and his heroes that Velikovsky first wondered about the catastrophes said to have accompanied the Hebrew Exodus, when fire and hailstones rained upon Egypt, earthquakes decimated the nation, and a pillar of fire and smoke moved in the sky. Biblical and other traditional Hebrew sources speak so vividly that Velikovsky began to wonder if some extraordinary natural event might have played a part in the Exodus.
To explore this possibility, Velikovsky sought out a corresponding account in ancient Egyptian records, finding a remarkable parallel in a papyrus kept at the University of Leyden Museum, called the Papyrus Ipuwer. The document contains the lamentations of an Egyptian sage in response to a great catastrophe overwhelming Egypt, when the rivers ran red, fire blazed in the sky, and pestilence ravaged the land.
Velikovsky also encountered surprising parallels in Babylonian and Assyrian clay tablets, Vedic poems, Chinese epics, and North American Indian, Maya, Aztec, and Peruvian legends. From these remarkably similar accounts, he constructed a thesis of celestial catastrophe. He concluded that a very large body -- apparently a "comet" -- passed close enough to Earth to violently perturb its axis, as global earthquakes, wind and falling stone decimated early civilizations.
Before Velikovsky could complete his reconstruction, he had to resolve an enigma. He had found that in the accounts of far-flung cultures, the cometary agent of disaster was identified as a planet. And the closer he looked, the more clear it became to him that this planet was Venus: The converging ancient images include the Babylonian "torch-star" Venus and "bearded star" Venus, the Mexican "smoking star" Venus, the Peruvian "long-haired" star Venus, the Egyptian Great Star "scattering its flame in fire" and the widespread imagery of Venus as a flaming serpent or dragon in the sky. In each instance, the cometary language is undeniable, for these were the very symbols of "the comet" in the ancient languages.
By following the evidence, Velikovsky discovered that Venus holds a special place among the world's first astronomers. In both the Old World and the New, ancient stargazers regarded Venus with awe and terror, carefully observing its risings and settings, and claiming the planet to be the cause of world-ending catastrophe. These astronomical traditions, Velikovsky reasoned, must have had roots in a traumatic human experience, though modern science has always assumed that the planets evolved in quiet and undisturbed isolation over billions of years.
Based on extensive cross-cultural comparison, Velikovsky concluded that the planet Venus, prior to the dawn of recorded history, was ejected violently from the gas giant Jupiter, displaying a spectacular comet-like tail. Its later catastrophic approach to the Earth (around 1500 B.C.) provided the historical backdrop to the Hebrew Exodus, Velikovsky claimed.
In Worlds in Collision, Velikovsky argued that the terrifying "gods" of the ancient world were planets -- those inconspicuous specks of light we see moving with clock-like regularity, as if to deny their chaotic roles in the past. The book recounted two close encounters of the comet or protoplanet Venus with the Earth. Included in the same volume was a large section on the ancient war god, whom Velikovsky identified as the planet Mars. He claimed that centuries after the Venus catastrophes, Mars moved on an unstable orbit intersecting that of Earth, leading to a series of Earth-disturbing events in the eighth and seventh centuries B.C........
For many years after publication(The movie was 1953) of Worlds in Collision, Velikovsky was persona non grata on college campuses. He was denied the opportunity to publish articles in scientific journals. When he attempted to respond to critical articles in such journals, they rejected these responses. The attitude of established science was typified by the reactions of astronomers. Michigan astronomer Dean McLaughlin exclaimed, "Lies -- yes lies." In response to a correspondent, astronomer Harold Urey, wrote: "My advice to you is to shut the book [Worlds in Collision] and never look at it again in your lifetime."
For Velikovsky, this was the beginning of a personal "dark age". But remarkably, his friendship with Albert Einstein was unaffected, and Einstein met with him often, maintaining an extended correspondence as well, encouraging Velikovksy to look past the misbehavior of the scientific elite. In discussion with Einstein, Velikovsky predicted that Jupiter would be found to emit radio noises, and he urged Einstein to use his influence to have Jupiter surveyed for radio emission, though Einstein himself disputed Velikovsky's reasoning. But in April 1955 radio noises were discovered from Jupiter, much to the surprise of scientists who had thought Jupiter was too cold and inactive to emit radio waves. That discovery led Einstein to agree to assist in developing other tests of Velikovsky's thesis. But the world's most prominent scientist died only a few weeks later.
Velikovsky expected other discoveries through space exploration. He claimed that the planet Venus would be found to be extremely hot, since in his reconstruction, the planet was "candescent" in historical times. His thesis also implied the likelihood of a massive Venusian atmosphere, residue of its former "cometary" tail. And he claimed that the Earth would be found to have a magnetosphere reaching at least to the moon, because he was convinced that in historical times the Earth exchanged electrical charge with other planetary bodies.
Arrival of the space age was a critical juncture for Velikovsky, as data returned from the Moon, from Mars, and from Venus begin to recast our views of these celestial bodies. In 1959, Dr. Van Allen discovered that the Earth has a magnetosphere. In the early sixties, scientists realized, much to their surprise, that the planet Venus has a surface temperature as high as 900 degrees Fahrenheit, hot enough to melt lead. "The temperature is much higher than anyone would have predicted," wrote Cornell Mayer.
Things grew more promising for Velikovsky. In 1962, two scientists, Valentin Bargmann, professor of physics at Princeton, and Lloyd Motz, professor of astronomy at Columbia, urged that Velikovsky's conclusions "be objectively re-examined." In support of this reconsideration, they cited his prior predictions about radio noises from Jupiter, the terrestrial magnetosphere, and an unexpectedly high temperature of Venus......
Here, on the other hand, is the opinion of the two authors of Thunderbolts of the Gods, each having investigated the thesis of Worlds in Collision for more than three decades. David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill write: "The authors of this book believe that Velikovsky was incorrect on many particulars, some of them crucial to a proper understanding of ancient events. But his place among the great pioneers of science will be secure if he was correct on the underlying tenets"
Talbott and Thornhill do not accept Velikovsky's specific chronology of events, and they place the age of planetary upheaval just prior to the flowering of monumental civilization, which they see as a creative act of human REMEMBERING. Rather than declare Velikovsky to be categorically "right" or "wrong", they cite these claims as crucial to any assessment of Velikovsky's contribution to science -
1. The present order of the planets is new. In geologically recent times the planetary system was unstable, and at least some planets moved on much different courses than they do today.
2. Erratic movements of the planets led to global catastrophe on Earth.
3. Through rigorous cross-cultural comparison of the ancient traditions, an investigator can reconstruct the celestial dramas.
One more principle must also be included, according to the authors. Velikovsky said that the key to reconciling his claims with scientific theory would be ELECTROMAGNETISM, a force in which astronomers and cosmologists had no interest in 1950. He stated that if the Sun and the planets are not the "electrically neutral" bodies astronomers assume, then even "the law of gravitation must come into question."
In the years since Velikovsky wrote these words, a new perspective has emerged from space age discovery. A universe teeming with charged particles-the "Electric Universe" of Wallace Thornhill and others -- is redefining everything we see in space. But you would not know this by listening to David Morrison, whose words still echo the electrically inactive, purely gravitational 1950's vision of the heavens.

OUR ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC UNIVERSE
I have always been a fan of Velikovsky - partly because I like a guy that can depart from the opinion of the rest of the herd, and partly because his science has proved to be nearly completely spot on.
When I first grasped the concept of electrons orbiting a nucleus, I thought "That sounds just like us here on our little planet orbiting our sun.....". My mind went small and it went large on the scale of things and how all of God's creations are immense and unbounded in nature. So, by observing what is around us in space (our solar system), we then have the key to visualizing/finding out what quarks and other nano-particles must be like. Scale up, scale down - very simple. It may not be quite that easy - but it sure is fun to think about. Much like the scanning electron microscope images of the miniscule parasitic flea with even smaller yet parasites residing on its back, ad infinitum.
So, here is a little more mind-bending stuff (CLICK LINK)that gives Velikovsky's work a nod and possibly opens our minds a little more to what we may see in our near future as we get a stray "electron" entering our realm in the form of Elenin. It may be an electrifying experience as one of the signs of the opening of the 7th seal is the preaching to the inhabitants of the earth through thunderings and through lightnings.

When I first grasped the concept of electrons orbiting a nucleus, I thought "That sounds just like us here on our little planet orbiting our sun.....". My mind went small and it went large on the scale of things and how all of God's creations are immense and unbounded in nature. So, by observing what is around us in space (our solar system), we then have the key to visualizing/finding out what quarks and other nano-particles must be like. Scale up, scale down - very simple. It may not be quite that easy - but it sure is fun to think about. Much like the scanning electron microscope images of the miniscule parasitic flea with even smaller yet parasites residing on its back, ad infinitum.
So, here is a little more mind-bending stuff (CLICK LINK)that gives Velikovsky's work a nod and possibly opens our minds a little more to what we may see in our near future as we get a stray "electron" entering our realm in the form of Elenin. It may be an electrifying experience as one of the signs of the opening of the 7th seal is the preaching to the inhabitants of the earth through thunderings and through lightnings.

Any of the old timers here ever read the book called "WORLDS IN COLLISION by Immanuel Velikovsky?" It is truly fascinating and a book way ahead of it's time. Velikovsky does a controversial study which posits a cosmic history of planetary cataclysms. According to Velikovsky, these epic catastrophes geophysically altered earth, radically affecting even its magnetic polarity and solar orbit. The great MYTHOLOGIES of the world, in particular the story of the Hebrew EXODUS, are cited to substantiate the theory that Venus may have originally been a comet whose near-collision with earth was the Physical Agency (ascribed to God in The Torah/Old Testament)of the terrifying tribulation called THE TEN PALGUES:
The Russian-born scholar was a friend and colleague of Albert Einstein, a student of Freud's first pupil Wilhelm Stekel, and Israel's first practicing psychoanalyst. Some of his writings appeared in Freud's Imago. In 1930 he published the first paper to suggest that epileptics would be characterized by abnormal encephalograms. He was the founder and editor of the scholarly publication, Scripta Universitatis, the physics and mathematics section being prepared by Einstein.
It was while researching a book on Freud and his heroes that Velikovsky first wondered about the catastrophes said to have accompanied the Hebrew Exodus, when fire and hailstones rained upon Egypt, earthquakes decimated the nation, and a pillar of fire and smoke moved in the sky. Biblical and other traditional Hebrew sources speak so vividly that Velikovsky began to wonder if some extraordinary natural event might have played a part in the Exodus.
To explore this possibility, Velikovsky sought out a corresponding account in ancient Egyptian records, finding a remarkable parallel in a papyrus kept at the University of Leyden Museum, called the Papyrus Ipuwer. The document contains the lamentations of an Egyptian sage in response to a great catastrophe overwhelming Egypt, when the rivers ran red, fire blazed in the sky, and pestilence ravaged the land.
Velikovsky also encountered surprising parallels in Babylonian and Assyrian clay tablets, Vedic poems, Chinese epics, and North American Indian, Maya, Aztec, and Peruvian legends. From these remarkably similar accounts, he constructed a thesis of celestial catastrophe. He concluded that a very large body -- apparently a "comet" -- passed close enough to Earth to violently perturb its axis, as global earthquakes, wind and falling stone decimated early civilizations.
Before Velikovsky could complete his reconstruction, he had to resolve an enigma. He had found that in the accounts of far-flung cultures, the cometary agent of disaster was identified as a planet. And the closer he looked, the more clear it became to him that this planet was Venus: The converging ancient images include the Babylonian "torch-star" Venus and "bearded star" Venus, the Mexican "smoking star" Venus, the Peruvian "long-haired" star Venus, the Egyptian Great Star "scattering its flame in fire" and the widespread imagery of Venus as a flaming serpent or dragon in the sky. In each instance, the cometary language is undeniable, for these were the very symbols of "the comet" in the ancient languages.
By following the evidence, Velikovsky discovered that Venus holds a special place among the world's first astronomers. In both the Old World and the New, ancient stargazers regarded Venus with awe and terror, carefully observing its risings and settings, and claiming the planet to be the cause of world-ending catastrophe. These astronomical traditions, Velikovsky reasoned, must have had roots in a traumatic human experience, though modern science has always assumed that the planets evolved in quiet and undisturbed isolation over billions of years.
Based on extensive cross-cultural comparison, Velikovsky concluded that the planet Venus, prior to the dawn of recorded history, was ejected violently from the gas giant Jupiter, displaying a spectacular comet-like tail. Its later catastrophic approach to the Earth (around 1500 B.C.) provided the historical backdrop to the Hebrew Exodus, Velikovsky claimed.
In Worlds in Collision, Velikovsky argued that the terrifying "gods" of the ancient world were planets -- those inconspicuous specks of light we see moving with clock-like regularity, as if to deny their chaotic roles in the past. The book recounted two close encounters of the comet or protoplanet Venus with the Earth. Included in the same volume was a large section on the ancient war god, whom Velikovsky identified as the planet Mars. He claimed that centuries after the Venus catastrophes, Mars moved on an unstable orbit intersecting that of Earth, leading to a series of Earth-disturbing events in the eighth and seventh centuries B.C........
For many years after publication of Worlds in Collision, Velikovsky was persona non grata on college campuses. He was denied the opportunity to publish articles in scientific journals. When he attempted to respond to critical articles in such journals, they rejected these responses. The attitude of established science was typified by the reactions of astronomers. Michigan astronomer Dean McLaughlin exclaimed, "Lies -- yes lies." In response to a correspondent, astronomer Harold Urey, wrote: "My advice to you is to shut the book [Worlds in Collision] and never look at it again in your lifetime."
For Velikovsky, this was the beginning of a personal "dark age". But remarkably, his friendship with Albert Einstein was unaffected, and Einstein met with him often, maintaining an extended correspondence as well, encouraging Velikovksy to look past the misbehavior of the scientific elite. In discussion with Einstein, Velikovsky predicted that Jupiter would be found to emit radio noises, and he urged Einstein to use his influence to have Jupiter surveyed for radio emission, though Einstein himself disputed Velikovsky's reasoning. But in April 1955 radio noises were discovered from Jupiter, much to the surprise of scientists who had thought Jupiter was too cold and inactive to emit radio waves. That discovery led Einstein to agree to assist in developing other tests of Velikovsky's thesis. But the world's most prominent scientist died only a few weeks later.
Velikovsky expected other discoveries through space exploration. He claimed that the planet Venus would be found to be extremely hot, since in his reconstruction, the planet was "candescent" in historical times. His thesis also implied the likelihood of a massive Venusian atmosphere, residue of its former "cometary" tail. And he claimed that the Earth would be found to have a magnetosphere reaching at least to the moon, because he was convinced that in historical times the Earth exchanged electrical charge with other planetary bodies.
Arrival of the space age was a critical juncture for Velikovsky, as data returned from the Moon, from Mars, and from Venus begin to recast our views of these celestial bodies. In 1959, Dr. Van Allen discovered that the Earth has a magnetosphere. In the early sixties, scientists realized, much to their surprise, that the planet Venus has a surface temperature as high as 900 degrees Fahrenheit, hot enough to melt lead. "The temperature is much higher than anyone would have predicted," wrote Cornell Mayer.
Things grew more promising for Velikovsky. In 1962, two scientists, Valentin Bargmann, professor of physics at Princeton, and Lloyd Motz, professor of astronomy at Columbia, urged that Velikovsky's conclusions "be objectively re-examined." In support of this reconsideration, they cited his prior predictions about radio noises from Jupiter, the terrestrial magnetosphere, and an unexpectedly high temperature of Venus......
Here, on the other hand, is the opinion of the two authors of Thunderbolts of the Gods, each having investigated the thesis of Worlds in Collision for more than three decades. David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill write: "The authors of this book believe that Velikovsky was incorrect on many particulars, some of them crucial to a proper understanding of ancient events. But his place among the great pioneers of science will be secure if he was correct on the underlying tenets"
Talbott and Thornhill do not accept Velikovsky's specific chronology of events, and they place the age of planetary upheaval just prior to the flowering of monumental civilization, which they see as a creative act of human REMEMBERING. Rather than declare Velikovsky to be categorically "right" or "wrong", they cite these claims as crucial to any assessment of Velikovsky's contribution to science -
1. The present order of the planets is new. In geologically recent times the planetary system was unstable, and at least some planets moved on much different courses than they do today.
2. Erratic movements of the planets led to global catastrophe on Earth.
3. Through rigorous cross-cultural comparison of the ancient traditions, an investigator can reconstruct the celestial dramas.
One more principle must also be included, according to the authors. Velikovsky said that the key to reconciling his claims with scientific theory would be ELECTROMAGNETISM, a force in which astronomers and cosmologists had no interest in 1950. He stated that if the Sun and the planets are not the "electrically neutral" bodies astronomers assume, then even "the law of gravitation must come into question."
In the years since Velikovsky wrote these words, a new perspective has emerged from space age discovery. A universe teeming with charged particles-the "Electric Universe" of Wallace Thornhill and others -- is redefining everything we see in space. But you would not know this by listening to David Morrison, whose words still echo the electrically inactive, purely gravitational 1950's vision of the heavens.
The electrical theorists say that the picture of the universe has changed, and all of the theoretical sciences will give way to a revolution in human understanding. The authors of Thunderbolts of the Gods summarize the new view in these words:
"From the smallest particle to the largest galactic formation, a web of electrical circuitry connects and unifies all of nature, organizing galaxies, energizing stars, giving birth to planets and, on our own world, controlling weather and animating biological organisms. There are no isolated islands in an 'electric universe.'"
The confidence of the electrical theorists comes from the testability of the hypothesis. Its every component leads to implications and predictions that can be either confirmed or falsified through direct investigation. A comparison of this approach to that taken by David Morrison may be instructive, so let's go back to the "beginning," cosmically speaking:

Modern Signs
Joseph Smith's most profound and enlightening sermon on the signs of the last days, given on the temple grounds at Nauvoo in April, 1843, demonstrates his views of the origin and nature of those signs, as well as our ability to recognize them for what they are.
"There will be wars and rumors of wars, signs in the heavens above and on the earth beneath, the sun turned into darkness and the moon to blood, earthquakes in divers places, the seas heaving beyond their bounds; … " (History of the Church, 5:337.)
Of particular interest is his addition of a truly remarkable sign to the customary list — one to which Latter-day Saints should give special heed. "… then will appear one grand sign of the coming of the Son of Man in heaven." (Ibid.) This is clearly a reiteration of the Savior’s statement in Matthew 24 wherein he said, "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven …."
Until this last dispensation of the gospel, no other prophet or passage of scripture had added the superlative "grand sign." Typically, all the signs are given equal weight or value; none is designated as special or more notable. Indeed, the only other mention is found in modern revelation wherein a slightly altered version of the term is used. Speaking of the last days, the Lord declared to Joseph in December 1842, "And immediately there shall appear a great sign in heaven, and all people shall see it together." (Doctrine & Covenants 88:93.)
Indeed, Joseph may have intended that this sermon, given a mere four months after the revelation recorded in Doctrine & Covenants, reaffirm and amplify on that revelation since Section 88 is remarkable for its catalog of latter-day signs.
On that occasion, Joseph continued his sermon by explaining what that marvelous sign might be. "What will the world do? They will say it is a planet, a comet, &c. But the Son of Man will come as the sign of the coming of the Son of Man, which will be as the light of the morning cometh out of the east. (Ibid.)
It is a stunning statement, when carefully considered. The greatest or grandest of signs will be a comet or planet. Assumably, this comet or planet will be doing something well out of the ordinary to attract special attention.
Note that the Prophet is not saying the world’s assessment is incorrect, as some have supposed. Rather, he is merely noting that the worldly or scientific terminology for this eye-catching sign would be "a planet, a comet, &c."
In light of what modern science has discovered in recent years about rogue comets and asteroids, this observation by Joseph Smith is striking. Mention of this great or grand sign is unique to this dispensation and is therefore worthy of special attention by Mormons — especially in light of what occurred in the heavens a decade ago.

early patriarch, Homer M. Brown, was asked about the Eliza R. Snow hymn. His answer includes a second-hand account that claims that the Prophet Joseph Smith supported the star theory. The direct quote below was taken from Robert W. Smith, The Last Days, Salt Lake City, Utah: Pyramid Press, 1947, p. 215.
"Brother Brown, will you give us some light and explanation of the 5th verse on page 386 of the Hymn book which formed another planet (sic), according to 'the Hymn of Eliza R. Snow.
"Yes, sir, I think I can answer your question. Sister Eliza R. Snow, in visiting my grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Brown), was asked by my grandmother: 'Eliza where did you get your ideas about the Ten Lost Tribes being taken away as you explain in your wonderful hymn?
"She answered as follows: 'why, my husband (The Prophet Joseph Smith) told me about it.'
"Have you any other information that your grandfather ever gave you, as contained in any conversation with the Prophet Joseph Smith?
"I have! One evening in Nauvoo, just after dark, somebody rapped at the door vigorously. Grandfather said he was reading the Doctrine and Covenants. He rose hurriedly and answered the summons at the door, where he met the Prophet Joseph Smith.
"He said, 'Brother Brown, can you keep me over night, the mobs are after me?' Grandfather answered, 'Yes. Sir. It will not be the first time, come in.'
"'Al1 right,' the Prophet said, shutting the door quickly. He came in and sat down. Grandmother said: 'Brother Joseph, have you had your supper?'
"'No he answered, 'I have not.' So she prepared him a meal, and he ate it.
Afterward they were in conversation relative to the principles of the Gospel. During the conversation the ten lost tribes were mentioned. Grandfather said, 'Joseph, where are the ten tribes?' He said, "Come to the door and I will show you, come on Sister Brown, I want you both to see.'
"It being a starlight night the Prophet said: "Brother Brown, you show me the Polar Star?'" 'Yes sir,' he said, pointing to the North Star. 'There it is.' 'Yes, I know' said the Prophet, 'but which one? There are a lot of stars there.'
"Grandfather said: 'Can you see the points of the Dipper?' The Prophet answered, 'Yes,' 'Well," he said, "trace the pointers, pointing up to the largest star. That is the North Star.'
"The Prophet answered: 'You are correct. Now,' he said, pointing toward the star, 'do you discern a little twinkler to the right and below the Polar star, which we would judge to be about the distance of 20' from here?'
"Grandfather answered, 'Yes, sir.'
"The Prophet said: 'Sister Brown, do you see that star also?'
"Her answer was, 'Yes, sir.'
"'Very well then,' he said, 'Let's go in.' After re-entering the house the Prophet said: 'Brother Brown, I noticed when I came in that you were reading the Doctrine and Covenants. Will you kindly get it?'
"He did so. The Prophet turned to Section 133 and read, commencing at the 26th verse and through the 34th verse. He said, after reading the 31st verse, 'Now let me ask you what would cause the Everlasting Hills to tremble with more violence than the coming together of two planets. And the place whereon they reside will return to this earth. Now,' he said, 'Scientists will tell you that it is not scientific: that two planets corning together would be disastrous to both; but, when two planets or other objects are traveling in the same direction and one of them with a little greater velocity than the other, it would not be disastrous, because the one traveling faster would overtake the other. Now, that would cause the mountains of ice to melt quicker than the heat caused by the friction of the two planets coming together?' And then he asked the question. 'Did you ever see a meteor falling that was not red hot? So that would cause the mountains of ice to melt.'
"'And relative to the Great Highway ,which should be cast up when the planet returns to its place in the great Northern Waters, it will form a highway and waters will recede and roll back.' He continued, 'Now as to their coming back from the Northern Waters; they will return from the north because their planet will return to the place from whence it was taken.'
"Relative to the waters rolling back to the north. If you take a vessel of water and swing it rapidly around your head you won’t spill any, but if you stop the motion gradually, it will begin to pour out. Now,' he said, 'Brother Brown, at the present time this earth is rotating very rapidly. When this planet returns it will make the earth that much heavier, and it will then revolve slower, and that will account for the waters receding from the earth for a great while, but it has now turned and is proceeding rapidly eastward.'"

A PILLAR (OF SMOKE) BY DAY AND A PILLAR (OF FIRE) BY NIGHT
I HAVE ALWAYS MARVELLED AT THAT (PILLAR DAY/NIGHT) REFERENCE IN OUR HYMNAL TALKING ABOUT THE LORD BRINGING THE ISREALITES OUT OF BONDAGE IN EGYPT.
I HAVE NEVER HAD MUCH MORE THAN A THOUGHT OF FASCINATION ABOUT IT UNTIL I READ VELIKOVSKY, A RUSSIAN-BORN JEW (AND CLOSET PHYSICIST) WHO SAID THAT THERE IS PROBABLY A PHYSICAL PHENOMENON TO ACCOUNT FOR THE EVENTS DESCRIBED BY MOSES IN EXODUS.
VELIKOVSKY DID MENTION A COMET OR N.E.O. CAUSING THE PILLAR PHENOMENON - AND I WAS ABLE TO STOMACH THE POSSIBILITY BUT NEVER GOT A VISUAL UNTIL NOW:
VELIKOVSKY WAS A CLOSE ASSOCIATE OF ALBERT EINSTEIN - IN FACT EINSTEIN HAD A COPY OF VELIKOVSKY'S BOOK ON THE DESK THAT HE WAS SLUMPED OVER WHEN THEY FOUND HIM DEAD. HOPEFULLY THE RESEARCH DIDN'T GIVE EINSTEIN A HEART ATTACK. DESPITE HIS BEST EFFORTS WHILE ALIVE, VELIKOVSKY WAS NEVER TAKEN SERIOUSLY (AS MANY OTHER GREATS HAVE NOT BEEN), BUT MOST OF HIS MAIN POINTS SUCH AS PLANETS WITH METHANE ATMOSPHERES HAVE BEEN LOCATED SINCE HIS DEATH IN THE EARLY '80S. THE OTHER MAIN POINT THAT HE WAS JUST RECENTLY VALIDATED ON IS THAT THERE WAS A LARGE (MARS SIZED) PLANET THAT SLAMMED INTO OUR OWN TO CREATE OUR MOON FROM THE IMPACT EJECTA.

Anyone who has dug around on this blog for a while knows that I am a big fan of Velikovsky (CLICK LINK). He was intelligent and put alot of things together about interplanetary interplay and possible connections to Biblical events. His book was also open on the desk of Albert Einstein when he had slumped over and died. They were good friends.

IMMANUEL VELIKOVSKY - WORLDS IN COLLISION IN PDF
I have always admired this guy since I came across his works a decade ago. I am a rabid catastrophist. The Book of Mormon propounds the catastrophic doctrine - massive world change in a matter of minutes or hours. Many of our hymns - the same thing. Eliza R. Snow spoke much of massive world change when portions of the earth were cleaved off with portions of the world's inhabitants at the time. She was given much of what she had directly from Joseph's mouth. Stuff he dared not share with the general populace of the day. Even members of the Church at the time would have called for his head for saying that stuff out loud - and this before the current science worship had become entrenched. Science be damned - when the actual event occurs. What so many smugly knew - will crumble before their eyes, though they refuse to see. Such will become dust in the wind and their bones will bleach for 1,000 years. A nice period of time to contemplate on their state of unbelief and wickedness while in the flesh.....

These claim that the geologic clocks are misinterpreted and that tremendous catastrophes in the earth’s history speeded up the processes that normally may take thousands of years. They cite evidence supporting the idea that thirteen thousand years is not an unrealistic time period. Immanuel Velikovsky, for example, wrote three books amassing evidence that worldwide catastrophic upheavals have occurred in recent history, and he argued against uniformitarianism, the idea that the natural processes in evidence now have always prevailed at the same approximate rate of uniformity. PLANETARY MOVEMENT WITHIN OUR ACCRETION DISK?
This is interesting information I found on FB and I
find the work of Velikovsky to be super relevant. His book, "Worlds in
Collision" was on the desk that Einstein was slumped over when he died.
They were personal friends and Einstein put his stamp of approval on
Velikovskies work which was controversial in the day, but was found to
be spot on as time went on. It talked of the planets not being ordered
as they are today as something moved thru and caused extreme global
change (including what happened in the days of Moses). Mind you, we are
about to have EVERY single thing that happened in those days (Exodus),
re-occur as described in Revelations. Major repeat 3500 years later to
the day. I think the Jubilee cycles are timed to whatever this is that
caused the first go around. This time around, it will be the major EQ
from Matthew 24. It seems as if this event will be on a whole new
level. All before 2017 which is this 50th, 50th Jubilee since the
release of the Jewish captives from Babylon after the 70 year prophetic
week and 3500 years since the 50th, 50th Jubilee from the date Adam and
Eve were cast out of the GoE. This is the end of the sixth thousand
years and millennial light begins to burst forth on the earth.

VELIKOVSKI'S VINDICATION - PLANETS UPWARD MOVEMENT
People (within and without the Church) who mock what visionaries have said - things which can only be discerned by the Spirit and in the spirit of prophecy and revelation have dismissed many of the writings of Eliza R Snow - precisely because she was way too far ahead of them - and because their basal senses of things seen, heard, touched etc could not verify what she was saying.
Thus the stated purpose of this blog; which is to bring hidden things to light and verify where science is FINALLY catching up to revealed religion.

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE GREAT CHICAGO FIRE - IT WAS FROM A COMET MADE UP OF METHANE
I did a piece a few years trying to dispel the ridiculous myth that Mrs. O'Leary's cow caused this great fire. The lies our government spreads to keep us from panicking...... Drives me mad, really.
The thing that caused that conflagration was a massive frozen space fart. Yep, a bunch of slushy methane probably kicked up from one of the methane moons of Jupiter that whizzed by for a really close shave and caused the effects that we see. I was going to do a little bit of a deeper dive on this, but I saw that it was already done for me by a guy who adores Larsen (like I do) and subscribes to the theory that all the plagues in Moses' day were caused by some wild celestial happenings - which, item for item, will happen again in our day according to what we read in Revelations. And I have to wonder about the Egyptian belief in Apophis as the God of destruction (a fiery serpent) and all the other imagery in all other cultures (Mayan, Chinese, Japanese, Hindu) who share the stories of the great tailed serpent in the sky that afflicted their peoples.....

Contrary to popular belief, the Chicago fire is not even the worst fire in U.S. history. It was not even the worst to occur on October 8 that year. The same evening—in fact, at the same time, about 9:30—a fierce wildfire struck in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, over 200 miles to the north of Chicago, destroying the town and a dozen other villages. Estimates of those killed range upward from 1200 to 2500 in a single night. It was not the Chicago fire but the simultaneous “Peshtigo Fire” that was the deadliest in U.S. history. It also devastated many parts of Michigan.“With the heat increased the wind, which came howling across the prairie, until at last there arose a perfect hurricane. If interested, here is a 3 part series from Thunderbolts info. It goes over it all the anomalies, eye witness accounts, ect.. I think you will find it very informative. Of course, history has no explanations for these anomalies. But when one take into account electricity it can account for all the eye-witness reports and anomalies. Much like the plagues and miracles of the exodus, the Great Chicago fire is no longer myth. Through the lenses of the electric universe, we realize things are not always as they seem.

JohnnyL, if you read the short articles above, I think you'll get a clear idea of what is going to happen if a little bit bigger one comes. I suspect the big one will be more along the lines of the miracles and plagues of the exodus. (water turned to blood) Which was undoubtedly caused by a comet. It was God, the comet was just God's means. Same thing with Joshua's long day. A comet. Immanuel Velikovsky, (old testament manual page 8) has incredible evidence that Isaiah had 3 comet encounters during his life time. It's how he was able to see the past, as well as the future. One last interesting point I want to make. Joshua 10:11 states....
" the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword."
The Hebrew word translated as hail stones by the King James translators is BARAD. Habakkuk in the Old Testament, it was translated as hot coals and would be even more accurately rendered "Hot Stones". Of course in modern terms, hot stones that fall to the earth from the sky are called meteorites. However, in the days of the King James, scientist and scholars believed that it was impossible for hot stones to fall from the sky. The only stones from heaven that they knew of were hail stones. So that's the term they used when they translated the scriptures. But the correct saying is meteorite showers.

ANTHONY LARSEN - CLASS ON JUNE 6TH - SPANISH FORK, UTAH
My wife and I took an online (teleconference call) from Anthony Larsen and thoroughly enjoyed his information. I have featured his books on the blog and really feel that he and Velikovsky are/were onto something foundational. I feel that something big enough to cause a worldwide EQ would most likely be due to some kind of interplanetary interaction. I really love this kind of speculative and scientific deep dive into the (under-recorded/under-measured) unknown/little-known.
I love what Joseph and Eliza R. Snow had to say on the matter of interplanetary interaction and astronomy by revelation. They saw it in vision - and I still have righteous envy over what Sister Snow had access to. What a privilege! She was one heckuva gal to hang with Joseph on that level. She was a faith-filled and believing soul - and therefore, was given and shown much. No doubt she sits on yonder throne with the likes of Abraham and many other greats exercising her priesthood and gifts that she wielded while here on this earth.

A PILLAR OF CLOUD BY DAY AND FIRE BY NIGHT
I have always been intrigued by that phrase - and have always thought there was a comet that would fit perfectly to explain this phenomenon (see previous posts on Velikovsky's theory). It looks like a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. If it were close enough to the earth, it may have had a very large impact on the tides, etc of the Red Sea.

JOSEPH SMITH AND RADICAL PLANETARY CONFIGURATIONS
Well, most of the stuff on this blog is just quotations and thinking from other people who are way ahead of me on certain topics. Here is yet another person that I think very highly of, Brother Anthony E. Larson. He is a follower of Velikovsky's thinking (and so am I) and I think Larson's work is 99% on and quite brilliant. I read the following blog article and have always wanted to put it together - but there is little else that I could add - and only half as eloquently....

MY MILLENNIAL VISION
I just got roasted by a reader on a previous blog topic for being too radical and for not praying for this nation. I am fine with that - I endorse what they had to say on the one hand and also realize that I have not been clear in my position of where we are headed on the other hand.
You tell me how this nation deserves the prayers of righteous Saints everywhere? It does deserve righteous Saints working their tails off to warn others of impending destruction D&C 88:81 that will surely come upon it for having collectively cooked their own goose. But seriously, who can pray in faith for this nation's continued blessing? I fully expected that half (50-55%) of the nation would have gone, "Ooopsie" over the mistake they made in 2008 and made a course correction - and I have to wonder if they did not, but that the numbers got massaged. I previously said in a post that I watched Brazil's election of 1990 get massaged and I have run into two people that were operatives in that massaging. Being a loud-mouth, I ask questions, make statements and have cool conversations that bring out interesting little details that the average "shut up and trust what you are told" people will probably never hear. I bump into people and I almost immediately know I need to learn something from them and begin to mine them for that "gem" until I get it. In the process, I have a friend - because most people do not care to know about another's experiences or what makes them unique - the world operates selfishly on opposite principles. The reason the gospel has not flourished openly as it should is that we have become a selfish and arrogant people and tell people that we have a message for them - and often overlook that the people "out there" can have a message for us. I am not talking about the missionaries - their job simply is to preach and disseminate the word - I am talking about the general membership of the Church. We, in our arrogance, often think its a one-way street and do not "learn to love" those around us because we are too busy looking down our noses at them as the "chosen ones". I have an instant friend at work who is an elect - his name is Nisan and he has zero aerospace experience, but ended up working on my shift not far from me as a production facilitator. The minute I saw him, I knew he had something (actually a lot) to share with me. I could tell by his name, his countenance, and his wonderful demeanor that he was special. My initial assessment was correct - he is Jewish, from NYC and spent the last 5-7 years on a commune of sorts just north of NYC on the Hudson River. There, he studied everything about the by-laws and intricacies as a principal of running a commune based purely on the principles of Consecration; those details I am processing to add to the blog at some point. He has the most gentle, humble and giving Spirit of anyone I have ever met, in or out of the Church. I warned him the other night I would kidnap him and spirit him off to MT since he knows how to get it done by the Lord's principles and most everyone else I have run into has too much of the world in them to make it happen without some serious smack-down and humbling first. I shared Moses 7:18 with him and he was very flattered and gracious. So far, he has shared the knowledge of how to grow mushrooms (no, not the magic kind) - shiitake and others using a very easy method which I will share in an ensuing post. I noticed my organic friend Emily (a reader) did not have fresh home-grown organic mushrooms on her summer salad in one blog post; this solution should solve that problem handily.
On track; I was chastised for not praying for this nation and our top dog who happens to be the worst (yes, the worst) record on abortion voting/support, has declared we are no longer a Christian nation, and now is the first prez to openly support gay "marriage". If you support any of that, you have no place on this blog - sorry! But you don't belong here..... I will do a comparison and contrast and I want to ask you if you think we are headed toward the ideal of a Zion society, or away from it. If we are heading away from that Zion ideal, how is it going to turn away and back towards even a lesser "Constitutional" ideal, let alone the higher Consecrated and Millennial model? There have been many radicalized people through the annals of history who have seen things going off the proverbial cliff and have gotten away and tried to rectify things. Unsuccessful, but well-meaning ones have been the Essenes who headed down to the shores of the Dead Sea practicing as much of what was right as they knew how given the previous 300+ year apostasy since the days of Malachi, there were the folks at Masada (those guys were my favorites - they had guts and stood solely on principle against overwhelming odds), and last of all, we have the people of Mosiah who realized things were out of sorts and had faith and were instrumental in making the worldly constructs collapse as circumstances caused the children of hell to fall into the pit that they had digged for the very people of God. This is what will happen in our final scenario to most of the constructs (call them secret combinations, if you will) that have been built up.
Here is the comparison and contrast of just a FEW things I have observed and can add more as I read the book by Spencer describing further how it will be. I will check my view of things against what he has had revealed to him and see how far off this is:
1) ENERGY FOR HEATING/COOLING/COOKING/TRAVEL;
There will be free power in the Millennium. If you have read my blatherings about Velikovsky and Tesla and others who have discovered that we are more electric beings than carbon beings, you will know or understand that the universe is swimming in energy. Its there for the taking and its free. When my kid died, those who were processing the (crime - until proven innocent) scene, filled out a multi-page questionnaire that had hundreds of questions on it trying to determine potential causes for SIDS. He had died at 8 months, 20 days and the average age of SIDS deaths is well under 6 months with a typical max of 9 months. One of the questions was what type of heat the house was heated with - ours was 220V resistive electric baseboard and he died right next to that heater on the bed. All current flowing in electrical lines puts out an electromagnetic field, if you remember the right hand rule from your Physics class. The other question, was our proximity to power lines, due to electromagnetic fields. We were within 1/8 mile of some large 100,000+ volt transmission lines at the time. I believe the power we surround ourselves with at 60Hz (cycles per second) is "sour" to our bodies, but that the stuff that is "out there" in our universe, is sweet to us. We are more in harmony with it. That stuff can be harnessed relatively easily - and used for the benefit of man. My dad is a "wacky" inventor and has been pursuing this stuff for years and I have watched with amusement, mostly - but I know we will never pay another power bill once the wordly constructs who seek for gain from its sale and dissemination - and the control over the masses you have by that means - are destroyed and what is given freely, is passed along freely for the benefit of others. Right now, 1/3 of the world's (largely women) cook over open fires resulting in denuding of the planet where heat is not needed as a by-product of cooking, and where the children they are tending are subjected to chronic lung disease due to the particulate output from that fire cooking. That will not exist in the Millennium.

2) SHELTER FOR THE GOOD OF MAN:
Buildings will be fantastical in size because the release of technology we currently have in our possession - but do not currently enjoy because the release is in a strangle hold by the brokers of power and money and influence. The technology is cheap, relatively easy to use and will make the buildings impervious to wind, EQ and other natural destructive phenomenon. I mentioned in a previous post about the release of that one piece piece of data that involved the gravitational constant at which an object could be vibrated at to achieve levitation using something as simple as a sound generator. Information we have had for going on a century - but not released for the benefit of man. The compound at the NJ will have buildings of massive proportions - free span structures that are in the mile or fractions of a mile range. When the Nauvoo Temple was built, the largest structural span they could get was about 50-80 feet using pine they felled upriver and rafted down the Mississipi. When the upper room of the Temple was filled to capacity during some sort of celebration in 1846 along with dancing and thus, dynamic loading on top of the static load the floor was already experiencing (I am too lazy to look up the details), that floor of the building nearly collapsed due to the extreme open span and lack of load carrying capability of wood. I recently read where the same thing occurred in one of the upper floors of the St. George Temple with a similar design some years later. So, because someone wants to make money at something, or wants to keep the technology from other nations or corporations because it could be used against them, the people suffer. My company just cranked out its first carbon fiber airplane - incredible technology that I used to build a bike with for my senior project at BYU. It was in its infancy then, and it still is today even though we have strategic bombers and passenger airplanes built from it. We had barely got the first prototype into static testing and discovered a new property of it that would allow us to solve the inter-ply delamination problems inherent in the old material. That technology, along with its exotic cousin, carbon nano-tubes will most likely be the means of making these extra-ordinary structures of our future. One of the reasons that the "building on the hill" will be so amazing that other nations will flow to it is that the people will have quit hoarding this stuff and it will be used openly for the benefit of all men; and without compulsory means, knowledge and people will flow to it. The wicked will stand afar off and curse them for what they have accomplished at the Lord's hand instead of joining them. I wonder how large of an effect the infusion of knowledge by the 10 tribes will have at that point. Ephraim has always been the warlike one - and they flicked us to the curb before the main body left. Nothing worse than a squabbling troublemaker to ruin the experience for the rest of the crew. I have one in my crew - great kid - but a peace-trasher for the rest of the crew. When you are not wasting countless years, lives and energy on war, you will accomplish amazing things putting that energy into a positive pursuit. Look at the wreckage of the Soviet cold war machine. Countless old hulks rusting in harbors and in military surplus yards with entire secret cities dedicated to the potential destruction of billions of lives. What a hellish waste. The country is still more third world than Brazil is today and they have nothing but broken dreams and promises for their efforts - and the world's highest abortion and alcoholism rates to show for it. Had that immense effort been taken and used for good - building up third world nations instead of raping them and monetarily enriching the lives of their own people, how different that country would be today. Instead, it is a tool of the devil. We are largely becoming the same. Oh, how the mighty have fallen and have used their blood and treasure to buy up armies and been brainwashed by false priests who oppress and create blood and horror on this earth. Folks, the d'evil is rejoicing at where they have gone and where we are heading at a vigorous clip. Millennial peace will bring the opposite of that.
3) CLEAN, HEALTHY FOOD FOR MAN:
Please read my previous post on Monsanto. If I had the ability to call down fire from heaven right now, there would be a hole in the ground where their headquarters used to be and I would make sure it was during a conference when everyone involved was present. I am serious as a heart attack on that one. When I am saying something tongue in cheek, there are usually dots...... after. No dots on that one. You can read my previous post on that one if you are not sure where I am coming from. There was a period of time in most native american narratives where some benevolent person came from the sky and taught the people (who were no doubt impoverished due to war and sin) how to properly modify their foods so that there was good yield and even taught the Inca how to grow multi-colored cotton for their clothing in order to eliminate the need for dyes and further work. The food was wholesome and it was big - abundant. There is a reason the people flourished in such difficult circumstances. We marvel today at how they did it, I do not. The three of us (me and two amazing young women) who were top of the class oddly found better pursuits in raising our families, working in the ministry of God's children, etc and not becoming some lab rat doing some evil bidding in order to "better" mankind. What I am doing now is my best compromise in helping people connect, get people to and from places to see loved ones and to serve missions; and still earning a living.

I fasted twice for 72 hours on separate occasions in order to get the blessings of heaven and the necessary knowledge to get her in a better place. I had the most amazing dream in conjunction with that and I still have an awesome blog piece to come out detailing the significance of that dream that I am still coming to.
When President Kennedy was president, he stated that he could not have been president had it not been for his regular B-12 injections. He was still a "pervert" due to the hypersexuality caused from lack of it; caused by the regular cortisol injections he had to have for his WWII back injury, but he could not have functioned to do the rest of what he did. It was amazing how the mental institutions quit filling up with the 70% of women and 40% of men who become chronically deficient in it, let alone who suffer from "unsettled nerves, panic attacks, anxiety, mild to severe depression, paranoia, and delusions" that do not warrant a expense-paid vacation to the resort with tight-fitting white bath robes. The problem began when people could not make money any more and decided medicine was to be a profit center - and not a way to alleviate the hell on this earth that so many with chronic symptoms suffer through. We then almost simultaneously in the 60's, had an explosion in research in the use of psychotropics which is now a multi-billion dollar industry annually that keeps the patients on a treadmill of mind trashing garbage - and is largely responsible for the mass shootings we have been seeing. Yup, almost 100% of them were on some of that garbage when the horror went down. And then there is the tax I am now going to be forced to pay in a few months to support that hellish construct when I know full well that the Savior and other have a simple herb-based system waiting for me on the other side that will answer almost every complaint known to Man - other than a broken bone. And that there will be enough faith-filled people like Iohani Wolfgramm that will be there ready to heal using the power of the Priesthood instead of being shut down by the likes of his jealous Stake Presidency for having used that gift?? I will gladly go thru whatever it takes in order to get to that Shangri-la-la land on the other side of the impassable cliffs.
These are just a few of the things I can think of off the top of my head for wanting the current construct brought low. I have NO patience for it - precisely because it is all in direct opposition to the few things I have outlined above. I have not even gone into the forced control of the rainwater that falls in my gutters or the water rights I have on my stream or the hellishly corrupt two party system that slapped down any attempt by the best chance we had at real Constitutional government in Washington (sorry Romney - not even close), or whether I can eat the produce out of my own garden, or have my underage kids work in my garden, or grow my own beef or milk my own cows and share it or the eggs from my own chickens, or travel freely from place to place, or hold meetings in my home at variance to local zoning regulations, or decide that I would like to pass my property along to my kids after I die, or decide that I want to store food in my pantry against a time of want or need without being labeled a terrorist, or decide as an individual that I would like to speak out against Roe V Wade in the pulpit of my own Church without having a tyrannical fed force seize said Church building and temples for back-taxes now that the 501C carrot has been snapped away for speaking what is truth. Someone make me stop here - cause there are not enough 1's and 0's to list it all in this blog.....

You tell me how this nation deserves the prayers of righteous Saints everywhere? It does deserve righteous Saints working their tails off to warn others of impending destruction D&C 88:81 that will surely come upon it for having collectively cooked their own goose. But seriously, who can pray in faith for this nation's continued blessing? I fully expected that half (50-55%) of the nation would have gone, "Ooopsie" over the mistake they made in 2008 and made a course correction - and I have to wonder if they did not, but that the numbers got massaged. I previously said in a post that I watched Brazil's election of 1990 get massaged and I have run into two people that were operatives in that massaging. Being a loud-mouth, I ask questions, make statements and have cool conversations that bring out interesting little details that the average "shut up and trust what you are told" people will probably never hear. I bump into people and I almost immediately know I need to learn something from them and begin to mine them for that "gem" until I get it. In the process, I have a friend - because most people do not care to know about another's experiences or what makes them unique - the world operates selfishly on opposite principles. The reason the gospel has not flourished openly as it should is that we have become a selfish and arrogant people and tell people that we have a message for them - and often overlook that the people "out there" can have a message for us. If we are heading away from that Zion ideal, how is it going to turn away and back towards even a lesser "Constitutional" ideal, let alone the higher Consecrated and Millennial model? There have been many radicalized people through the annals of history who have seen things going off the proverbial cliff and have gotten away and tried to rectify things. Unsuccessful, but well-meaning ones have been the Essenes who headed down to the shores of the Dead Sea practicing as much of what was right as they knew how given the previous 300+ year apostasy since the days of Malachi, there were the folks at Masada (those guys were my favorites - they had guts and stood solely on principle against overwhelming odds), and last of all, we have the people of Mosiah who realized things were out of sorts and had faith and were instrumental in making the worldly constructs collapse as circumstances caused the children of hell to fall into the pit that they had digged for the very people of God. This is what will happen in our final scenario to most of the constructs (call them secret combinations, if you will) that have been built up.
Here is the comparison and contrast of just a FEW things I have observed and can add more as I read the book by Spencer describing further how it will be. I will check my view of things against what he has had revealed to him and see how far off this is:

When my kid died, those who were processing the (crime - until proven innocent) scene, filled out a multi-page questionnaire that had hundreds of questions on it trying to determine potential causes for SIDS. He had died at 8 months, 20 days and the average age of SIDS deaths is well under 6 months with a typical max of 9 months. One of the questions was what type of heat the house was heated with - ours was 220V resistive electric baseboard and he died right next to that heater on the bed. All current flowing in electrical lines puts out an electromagnetic field, if you remember the right hand rule from your Physics class. The other question, was our proximity to power lines, due to electromagnetic fields. We were within 1/8 mile of some large 100,000+ volt transmission lines at the time. I believe the power we surround ourselves with at 60Hz (cycles per second) is "sour" to our bodies, but that the stuff that is "out there" in our universe, is sweet to us. We are more in harmony with it. That stuff can be harnessed relatively easily - and used for the benefit of man. My dad is a "wacky" inventor and has been pursuing this stuff for years and I have watched with amusement, mostly - but I know we will never pay another power bill once the wordly constructs who seek for gain from its sale and dissemination - and the control over the masses you have by that means - are destroyed and what is given freely, is passed along freely for the benefit of others. Right now, 1/3 of the world's (largely women) cook over open fires resulting in denuding of the planet where heat is not needed as a by-product of cooking, and where the children they are tending are subjected to chronic lung disease due to the particulate output from that fire cooking. That will not exist in the Millennium.

2) SHELTER FOR THE GOOD OF MAN:
Buildings will be fantastical in size because the release of technology we currently have in our possession - but do not currently enjoy because the release is in a strangle hold by the brokers of power and money and influence. The technology is cheap, relatively easy to use and will make the buildings impervious to wind, EQ and other natural destructive phenomenon. I mentioned in a previous post about the release of that one piece piece of data that involved the gravitational constant at which an object could be vibrated at to achieve levitation using something as simple as a sound generator. Information we have had for going on a century - but not released for the benefit of man. The compound at the NJ will have buildings of massive proportions - free span structures that are in the mile or fractions of a mile range. When the Nauvoo Temple was built, the largest structural span they could get was about 50-80 feet using pine they felled upriver and rafted down the Mississipi. When the upper room of the Temple was filled to capacity during some sort of celebration in 1846 along with dancing and thus, dynamic loading on top of the static load the floor was already experiencing (I am too lazy to look up the details), that floor of the building nearly collapsed due to the extreme open span and lack of load carrying capability of wood. I recently read where the same thing occurred in one of the upper floors of the St. George Temple with a similar design some years later. So, because someone wants to make money at something, or wants to keep the technology from other nations or corporations because it could be used against them, the people suffer. My company just cranked out its first carbon fiber airplane - incredible technology that I used to build a bike with for my senior project at BYU. It was in its infancy then, and it still is today even though we have strategic bombers and passenger airplanes built from it. We had barely got the first prototype into static testing and discovered a new property of it that would allow us to solve the inter-ply delamination problems inherent in the old material. That technology, along with its exotic cousin, carbon nano-tubes will most likely be the means of making these extra-ordinary structures of our future. One of the reasons that the "building on the hill" will be so amazing that other nations will flow to it is that the people will have quit hoarding this stuff and it will be used openly for the benefit of all men; and without compulsory means, knowledge and people will flow to it. The wicked will stand afar off and curse them for what they have accomplished at the Lord's hand instead of joining them. I wonder how large of an effect the infusion of knowledge by the 10 tribes will have at that point. Ephraim has always been the warlike one - and they flicked us to the curb before the main body left. Nothing worse than a squabbling troublemaker to ruin the experience for the rest of the crew. I have one in my crew - great kid - but a peace-trasher for the rest of the crew. When you are not wasting countless years, lives and energy on war, you will accomplish amazing things putting that energy into a positive pursuit. Look at the wreckage of the Soviet cold war machine. Countless old hulks rusting in harbors and in military surplus yards with entire secret cities dedicated to the potential destruction of billions of lives. What a hellish waste. The country is still more third world than Brazil is today and they have nothing but broken dreams and promises for their efforts - and the world's highest abortion and alcoholism rates to show for it. Had that immense effort been taken and used for good - building up third world nations instead of raping them and monetarily enriching the lives of their own people, how different that country would be today. Instead, it is a tool of the devil. We are largely becoming the same. Oh, how the mighty have fallen and have used their blood and treasure to buy up armies and been brainwashed by false priests who oppress and create blood and horror on this earth. Folks, the d'evil is rejoicing at where they have gone and where we are heading at a vigorous clip. Millennial peace will bring the opposite of that.
