I will add to this; if you chastise or mock those who have gifts, you are wicked.
If you seek to suppress them or shut them down, as they did with Jesus, you are evil. Sadly, many in mid-level leadership positions fit the last two and will be destroyed when Jesus comes. I have to say it will be gratifying to see things cleared out.
There is a guy at the hardware store here in Cardston who says I am crazy for my views. He is the Cardston Faithless and probably friends with the Cardston Apostate. Either way, they will be swept. Repent or be swept. Simple.
Here is the quote:
“Because faith is wanting, the fruits are. No man since the world was had faith without having something along with it. The ancients quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, women received their dead, etc. By faith the worlds were made. A man who has none of the gifts has no faith; and he deceives himself, if he supposes he has. Faith has been wanting, not only among the heathen, but in professed Christendom also, so that tongues, healings, prophecy, and prophets and apostles, and all the gifts and blessings have been wanting.” History of the Church, 5:218; from instructions given by Joseph Smith on Jan. 2, 1843, in Springfield, Illinois; reported by Willard Richards.
