Too many people on the take/pensions/etc:
Chicago is a slow moving train wreck.
Illinois is bankrupt,and Chicago's finances are even worse.
There is an unavoidable financial disaster on the way.
What do you think is going to happen when the welfare and retirement checks stop showing up?
At first it will be blamed on a glitch, people get their deposits a few days late
Then it happens again next month.
Then people start getting partial deposits.
Illinois will do this to the rural counties first,but it wont be long before it happens to Cook County.
This is when the riots start.
If you are still in Chicago you have only hours to get out before the highways become impassable.
Firefighters wont be able to fight the fires because the rioters will attack them.
Police will be hunkering down inside their own buildings, they arent equipped to deal with something this big.
Most people wont take part in the rioting but they will be trapped in their own neighborhoods , surrounded by burnt out store fronts and blocked intersections.
Other people will be trapped for days in the unimaginable traffic jams heading out of the city.
If you have supplies its a pretty safe bet the local gang will want them.
They will be breaking down your front door to search for food by day 4.
Casualties will be in the thousands before Federal troops arrive with supplies.
If you live in Chicago and you hear about late assistance or retirement checks in other counties...get out immediately.
I don't doubt this. We were inspired to move from Illinois and are SO glad we got out when we could. We ended up feeling thankful in the end that w ed lost our house in 2007 before the bubble burst. We were free to leave and not stuck in a home we couldn't sell or afford. Every word of this post rings true to us. I pray for my Illinois friends and family....
