Some things, I simply cannot say better, so here goes (thanks, Arnold!):
The most salient statement is that the gospel had been restored by JS Jr. and for the last time prior to the Savior's return. No problem here, it is just that people will conjure what a prophet is to be like. Prophets and other leaders of the LDS Church are not super human, all knowing and they are prone to their own prejudices and belief system. We saw this with some in leadership, J Golden and one or two others were in support of John Koyle and the leadership was vehemently against him. J. Golden had personal experience with Koyle in the mission field and knew to trust in his visions, or dreams. When Saul turned against David in the Bible, David did not want to kill or harm Saul. There was the episode in the cave where a weary Saul, in his trek to capture or destroy David, had rested and David had the opportunity to take his life and he didn't because Saul was still the Lords anointed. We have the example of Eli, the prophet who mentored the prophet Samuel, had permitted his sons to abuse those going to offer sacrifice. Eli's sons were later killed in warfare, Eli died of shock of the loss of the ark. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/ensign/2002/06/eli-and-his-sons?lang=eng The Lord moves in his own timing. Are people going to have the faith to hang on when the damaged ones begin to cause members to question the efficacy of these vaxes that were defended by the Corp of the President. It is just more challenges to our faith that we have to deal with in this life. Now we see a popular acceptance of BYU support of LGBT or whatever, thinking they are reinforcing their love and support for them for them. - note: LGBers will certainly feel more comfortable to act upon their feelings. (it is called human nature folks) In fact, little do most of these supporters realize that this movement reinforces all perversions that the establishment wants to promote, even to reinforce the movement of teaching children about all things sexual, drag queens in school at reading time the whole thing. But they will not believe that such and such is possible in their children's school.
Follow the prophet, follow the prophet,
ReplyDeleteFollow the prophet; don’t go astray.
Follow the prophet, follow the prophet,
Follow the prophet; he knows the way.
So, interesting how we have been taught since birth that our prophet will not lead us astray. Fast forward to Covid when President Nelson spoke as a educated DOCTOR/man and tells us to trust man and that God helped in the process.
So just the other day listening to the radio and a pastor calls the vaccine the work of the devil, killing the innocent. Why is it he sounds more prophetic over our own prophet.
Not rejecting our prophet but did he actually even pray to Heavenly Father for inspiration or did he just base it off the financial benefits for the Church.
Conference has been hard to watch.
Brain washing much??? Oh but it can't happen to us!
DeleteI love the, "It was a test, or those who took it off his council will be blessed." complete Bull S---. I know those who took it because of the Higher ups words, and their lives will never be the same. One has Myocarditis and periocarditis. Yeah they are really being blessed! If you cannot see the wickedness behind the words that they used to persuade those they have council over then shame on you. You have not taken the Holy Spirit as your guide. Wake up and see the light those that are still under the false premise that this is a Godsend in anyway! Oh and don't forget to trust your government and health officials! We all know they have our best interests at heart. What a joke.
There are many times in history when the church became apostate. Noah's time. Lehi's time. Meridian of time. The end times. Members are ever learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. They built and inhabit the great and spacious buildings. Moroni's rebuke of deniers of the faith was for LDS church members in our day.
ReplyDeleteI do believe it was a test, but not in the way most people think. Pres. Nelson has been telling us now for the last 4 or so years to follow inspiration and get to know the Savior’s voice. We will not make it through these times without it. Now here we are. This has been a tough time for the church. Does the 1st presidency go against government mandates and risk loosing rights and privacy for members, or succumb to the yolk placed upon the the church and still continue on doing their best to keep temples open and hold church meetings? Here is the test. Can you still follow the prophet even when you may have been told through inspiration that the vaccines are corrupt? Can you follow the spirit when it tells you the vaccine is corrupt but you need to take it and have the faith that the Lord will help you through it? Is President Nelson following the Lord’s will when it may even go against everything he understands? This is the test we need to pass. “Lord what would you have me do?”
