Like I have been saying over and over, I think this has just happened. Things will happen so naturally that many will not be aware of events. With the "news" in the state it is in, it is likely we may not get the full scoop of all events. Even blogs like this will one day get shut down.....

Are we to assume that the many millions of [trying but imperfect] members just didn't make the cut for the invite? Or maybe it's just me that's in the dark...

The impression that I receive from this glorious dissertation is that Adam Ondi Ahman will be held after that part of the earth in Missouri will be swept clean and our new Jerusalem built (but before the great scenes of Armageddon and the Second Coming in glory). In other words, the righteous with a stewardship to declare may be free to attend this conference after the cleansing of America (North and south) as a terrestrial shift is occurring to the Church of the Firstborn. Obviously those who look forward to this grand conference (there may be pieces of it already beginning) are those who are striving, albeit imperfectly, to do our best to prepare now by fulfilling callingso and be part of the great gathering efforts. I don't think we have to worry about "making the cut". We follow the Spirit's direction now and in the future and we will be called forward to participate whether on this side of the veil or the other. It is just so thrilling to contemplate. As I tell my 9 &10 year old primary class each week, "The coolest things happen in real life!".

In my understanding he’s talking about those who’ve had their calling and election made sure..... a few of the major tests are ; having full possession of the gift of charity, be living the law of consecration and to have passed all the other laws and to be willing to do the will of the Father in all things ..... Or in other words found in D&C 88... to be members of the Church of the Firstborn......don’t be discouraging...just regular members of the church have reached this election... that is if your heart is not set upon the things of this world or trying to attain the honors of men and you must be of a clean heart & pure hands exercising the gift of repentance......

I saw the same phrase as Anonymous. What do you have to say? by the way i enjoy your blog and respect you and your point of view. Have been reading it for years. I do know that the meeting we are speaking of hasn't taken place, but in my humble opinion which I conclude from personal revelation it is not to many years in the future, in fact it is very close.

WHY SHOULD WE STUDY THE HIDDEN THINGS RELATED TO THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST?

But the Latter-day Saints are not in darkness; they are the children of light, although many of us will actually be asleep. We shall have to wake up and trim up our lamps, or we shall not be prepared to enter in; for we shall all slumber and sleep in that day, and some will have gone to sleep from which they will not awake until they awake up in darkness without any oil in their lamps. But, as a general thing, the Saints will understand the signs of the times. Others have their eyes closed upon the prophecies of the ancient Prophets; and not only that, but they are void of the spirit of prophecy themselves. When a man has this, though he may appeal to ancient Prophets to get understanding on some subjects he does not clearly understand, yet, as he has the spirit of prophecy in himself, he will not be in darkness; he will have a knowledge of the signs of the times; he will have a knowledge of the house of Israel, and of Zion, of the ten tribes and of many things and purposes and events that are to take place on the earth; and he will see coming events, and can say such an event will take place, and after that another, and then another; and after that the trumpet shall sound, and after that certain things will take place, and then another trump shall sound, &c., &c.; and he will have his eye fixed on the signs of the times, and that day will not overtake him unawares.

JOSEPH SMITH SAID THOSE WHO ARE WATCHING AND WAITING, WILL KNOW THE HOUR:

"Christ says no man knoweth the day or the hour when the Son of Man cometh. This is a sweeping argument for sectarianism against Latter day ism. Did Christ speak this as a general principle throughout all generations Oh no he spoke in the present tense no man that was then liveing upon the footstool of God knew the day or the hour But he did not say that there was no man throughout all generations that should not know the day or the hour. Who are they they are the children of darkness or night. But to the Saints he says yea are not of the night nor of darkness of that that day should come upon you unawares. John the revelator says 14 chap 7th verse that the hour of his judgements is come they are precursers or forerunners of the comeing of Christ. read Matthew 24 Chap and all the Prophets. He says then shall they see the Sign of the comeing of the Son of Man in the clouds of Heaven. How are we to see it Ans. As the lighting up of the morning or the dawning of the morning cometh from the east and shineth unto the west—So also is the comeing of the Son of Man. The dawning of the morning makes its appearance in the east and moves along gradualy so also will the comeing of the Son of Man be. it will be small at its first appearance and gradually becomes larger untill every eye shall see it. Shall the Saints understand it Oh yes. Paul says so. Shall the wicked understand Oh no they attribute it to a natural cause. They will probably suppose it is two great comets comeing in contact with each other It will be small at first and will grow larger and larger untill it will be all in a blaze so that every eye shall see it."
