Interesting twist on the "need" for a micro-chip.... About six weeks prior to Sept 11, I came home and told my wife that something big was about to happen that would affect my employment. I was also given instructions regarding the payment of tithing regularly that would help us avoid the dire situation that this event turned out to be for those of us in Commercial Aviation, at the time. I was not able to even make a wild guess as to what it would be and I never conceived of ramming planes into buildings as a way to make a (supposed) statement regarding terrorism. It just simply never occurred to me.
Neither has this as a possible "mark of the beast", wherein people would be clamoring for a way to avoid sanctions via having something injected into them in order that they can buy/sell and travel:

Mark of the beast requires a "mark" in their right hand, or in their foreheads. So far vaccines are not this "mark". But it does look as if they are getting closer to both the technology and the means to nudge people into that direction.

Revelations as well as other scripture are typically metaphorical in nature. We do know that those who take this Mark of the Beast are those who fight against God and will be condemned as in Rev.14:9-11. I really don't believe it is possible to force someone the take the Mark and have them be accountable, It would have to be full acceptance.
Delete"Spencer" in John Pontius's book believes this current Mark had it's beginnings in the 60's with the Counter Culture, sexual freedom guided by the false twisted doctrine of Sigmund Freud and Alfred Kinsey, as Cleon Skousen would describe it. Satan is very creative, this has morphed into may different philosophies that I would to it the "Cancel Culture, mask wearing, manmade Global Climate Change, that seeks tear down the Constitution of the US. The freedoms and liberty we have had, to be ruled by a single Globalist Cabal that only seeks our destruction as guided by satan.
This is disturbing in that it has sucked in so many good and faithful members of the Church, especially if they have been through the University system, with only crickets from the Church Leadership.
One explanation for the Mark in hand, representing actions, and forehead, representing our beliefs and commitment. No idea about the number of the Beast, as well as so much more.
I have no problem putting a chip into my body the would allow me to unlock my car/doors/bank account etc... When you take the mark of the beast you will know it!
