Folks, part of the purpose of my vacation (judgment tour) was to get a pulse on those areas that I have felt will soon feel the heavy hand of the Lord in judgment - and to see if I could parse out those things and make some adjustments in my own life and refine my "model" of how God sees things as he gets ready to lower the boom on His kiddos once again. I also just wanted to eat some really good Mexico food - and I found it down in Old Town San Diego at Fred's. Ooh lala those things were good!! I plan on flying back just prior to the boom being lowered and have my last supper of all the different kinds of tacos on $2 dollar taco Tuesdays while staying at the Best Western Plus Hacienda (click link) just up the street. Folks - ambiance that is out of this world with the lights, the gas heaters, true old-world feel and romance without the travel and mortal danger of going to some 15th century mining town in Mexico.
Anyway, on our way down to intercept some vitamin D, we stopped in Vegas for two nights. Part of it was to stop and rest and part of it was to passive aggressively try to put them out of business by eating all the cheap food I could and stay in the most opulent hotel I could for cheaper than a Motel 6 - all while not gambling and lining some mafioso's pockets..... I love the fact they are billions in debt and that its not getting any better. I would love to see the whole industry gone with people doing something worthwhile and value-added in their lives. It is part of the d'evil's work in that it provides a false sense of hope for no effort on the part of the recipient. Much like BHO's health scare scheme and just about every other construct of Babylon that exists. The d'evil's original plan was to "buy" his way into the hearts of all of Father's children - like some cheesy politician; and many indeed fell for the ploy. Something for nothing - bankrupting the spiritual treasury to pay debts that could not be redeemed except on principles outlined by Father. It was some kind of pyramid scheme - just not sure how to quantify it or get my mind around it. It was the first white-collar crime gig to come along.
So it is today. We have people who want to have sex without the kids (birth control), who want to have illicit sex (outside of marriage) and be able to abort the evidence like so much trash, who want to clamor for a cure for AIDS when there is one (abstinence), who want to deficit spend without the consequences (credit card debt and bankruptcies), who want to not attend Sabbath meetings and not have the spiritual wreckage of broken covenants that follows, who want to forget their obligations to their departed ancestors and not attend the temple and not have their existence be utterly wasted, who do not want to pay their tithing for the building up of God's kingdom on this earth and not reap the fire that accompanies this insolent behavior. We have a generation of lazy people that I hardly think are worth saving. Oh, there are many interspersed here and there among the general population, but the vast majority - not interested in doing the hard things that will qualify themselves for the eternally good things. This is the opulence and ease of Babylon that is so corrosive and intoxicating to so many who want to hear that all is well in Zion - while becoming piqued and enraged when they are told that they are on the path to becoming children of hell.
So we have it all now. The final sector on the wheel of destruction before the reset button is pushed. Gambling - or getting something from someone else that we did not earn (or was not earned for us through the principle of vicarious works) is just one of the ways that the adversary wears us down until we are nothing more than slaves, living for the things of the day. This nation has become just that very thing.
