IS THERE PLURALITY OF WIVES AMONGST THE STAR REALMS?

 My curious wife asked this question after reading about planets having significant others.  I, off the cuff, told her that there are multiple star systems out there (even though I have not read it for at least a decade).  

Sure enough, about 85% of star systems are binary and the numbers in excess of two (up to four - total) are in the balance.  

For example, Alpha Centauri (our closest star neighbor) has three suns in it.

Four is the number that Joseph spoke of as being the typical situation for polygamous unions.  I have heard it said that Father has up to 2,000 wives.  Remember, there is no scarcity in the heavenly order, so no bound to time, resources, love, and so much else.

I suppose that the Law of Attraction that I have spoken of quite a bit in the past, would be in effect amongst the stars every bit as much as it would be among the women who are allowed to "upward move" if their star does not shine brightly (or dims) over time.  I believe that the stars can move out of their orbit and can be attracted to other systems/stars.  

People were magnetically drawn to the great Jehovah while He was here.  Same with Joseph Smith and many other noble and great ones.  There is a modicum of magnetism in every one of us, just as there is magnetism between stars and other systems.  I am sure the parallels do not end there.

All things follow a pattern.

THEY WILL HUNT THE LIVES OF THE SAINTS

 My wife and I were reading in the apocryphal 2 Esdras 16:70 where it spits out one more piece of gloom and doom (at least for those who are in the big cities when the crud hits the oscillator):

71 There will be great uprisings against those who fear the Lord in many places and in neighboring cities. 72 People will be like maniacs on account of their own distress. They will spare no one, seeking to plunder and destroy those who still fear the Lord. 73 They will destroy and rob their possessions and throw them out of their own homes. 74 In that time, the genuine commitment of my chosen ones will be shown, as gold that is tested by fire.

75 Listen, my chosen ones, says the Lord, the days of distress are at hand, and I will deliver you from these. 76 Don’t fear or hesitate, for God is your leader. 77 You who keep my commandments and precepts, says the Lord God, don’t let your sins drag you down, and don’t let wickedness get the upper hand over you. 78 How terrible it will be for those who are choked by their sins and covered over by their iniquities, as a field is choked by overgrowth and its paths are covered over by thorns so that a human being can’t pass through. It is shut off and consigned to destruction by fire.

Very interesting times we will pass through.  We know the persecution of the Saints must exceed that of the persecutions of any previous epoch in history.  Much of it will be at the hands of parents, siblings and SONS and daughters who have become enraged against the things of God, and whose hearts have waxed cold.  This is the Book of Mormon pattern.  This is what happened when the Nephites were hunted by the Lamanites just at the end of their historical run.  It is the natural course of history.

DOES THE EARTH HAVE A GIRLFRIEND OR BOYFRIEND? A VALENTINIAN PONDERING

 Admittedly, this will be one of the more zany posts to ever hit the Wood Zone - a hard feat, to be sure....

But my wife and I were at a really beautiful overlook soaking in nature and enjoying some D&C 88 as a follow-on scripture deep-dive after our EQ lesson on Sunday.  In it, we learn about the nature of future changes to the earth as she comes to her own and is crowned with glory and made a habitation of those exalted beings who have made it through all of the filth and come out of her wickedness and who have not partaken of her sins.

15 And the ^aspirit and the ^bbody are the ^csoul of man.

16 And the ^aresurrection from the dead is the redemption of the soul.

17 And the redemption of the soul is through him that ^aquickeneth all things, in whose bosom it is decreed that the ^bpoor and the ^cmeek of the ^dearth shall inherit it.

18 Therefore, it must needs be ^asanctified from all ^bunrighteousness, that it may be prepared for the ^ccelestial glory;

19 For after it hath filled the measure of its creation, it shall be crowned with ^aglory, even with the presence of God the Father;

So, if the earth is supposed to be baptized with water, then by fire and eventually be the habitation of Celestialized beings that once flourished on her surface, then is she going to enjoy companionship and receive the ultimate crown of being sealed to another for the eternities? That was my question.  

My wife chimed in and pointed out that a majority of small planetoids/suns out there have a binary equivalent and they revolve around each other - and that suns often are the planet producers.  Meaning, they spit out posterity - or more of their own kind.  All documented/observed.  Just a matter of applying common sense along with some wild thinking to make the connections.

I think it would only make sense that these binary unions are the companions to each other.  

Scientists have calculated and speculated that our sun has a binary companion star, but that it either went cold or is "away" (possibly preparing a place for the bride) and also will appear suddenly at the "Weddng Feast".  Just a thought.  But either way, we know of it's presence due to it's gravitational effects on the other planets in the system.
