What caused the mystery of the Dark Day?

Three centuries ago in parts of North America, a strange event turned morning to night. It remains wreathed in mystery - so what caused the Dark Day?

Halfway through the morning the sky turns yellow. Animals run for cover and darkness descends, causing people to light candles and start to pray. By lunchtime night has fallen. Is it the end of the world?
The Dark Day, as it's become known, took place on May 19, 1780 in New England and parts of eastern Canada. For the past 232 years historians and scientists have argued over the origins of this strange event.
Today there are many theories. Was it the result of volcanic eruption, fire, meteor strike - or something more sinister?

With little scientific knowledge amongst the populace in 1780, people would have been afraid. Some lawmakers in Connecticut believed it was the day of judgement. The sense that a decisive moment was afoot would have been bolstered by the fact that during the preceding days, the sun and moon glowed red.
Historian Mike Dash says the north-east corner of the US was a deeply Protestant society with a profound interest in "guilt, sin and redemption". Dash, who wrote about the paranormal in his book Borderlands, says that faced with sudden darkness, people would look for biblical precedents.
"There are some verses in Matthew that might have led them to believe that this is the second coming of Christ. At the time, natural events - even birds fighting in the sky - were a sign of God's intentions. The Dark Day would have seemed like a warning to Man."

Apocalypse anxiety is no new phenomenon, but even modern-day society looks for signs of the world ending:

So what might explain 1780's Dark Day?

The Met Office points out that thick cloud can drop low enough to turn on automatic street lights and require cars to use their lights. But it's unlikely this alone would be enough to cause a Dark Day.
A solar eclipse can be ruled out as there is a record of when these occur - and they only last for a matter of minutes.
The eruption of the volcano Eyjafjallajokull in 2010 caused enough ash to enter the atmosphere to ground flights across northern Europe.
Thomas Choularton, professor of atmospheric science at the University of Manchester, says volcanic ash clouds often cause "yellow days". Eruptions at Mount St Helens in Washington State have lowered light levels in recent decades, he adds.
And yet there is no record of volcanic activity in 1780, he says, making a huge ash cloud an unlikely explanation. A meteorite is equally unlikely, although "you can't rule it out completely", Prof Choularton says.
The answer to the puzzle can be found in the trees, many scientists believe.
Academics at the University of Missouri's Department of Forestry analysed tree trunks inland from New England, where westerly prevailing winds would originate. They found signs of fire-scarred rings in tree trunks dating back to that period.

It is also known that there was a drought there in 1780 making fire more likely, says Dr Will Blake, associate professor of geography at Plymouth University.

But could a forest fire cause such a change in light? "I've witnessed minor fires in Australia where you get a very eerie light. The bigger the fire, the darker it's going to get." Fog is common on the east coast. The mix of fog and soot from the forest fire would combine to make darkness descend, Dr Blake argues.
Eyewitness accounts in New England support the forest fire hypothesis. Soot was spotted in the rivers. And Jeremy Belknap of Boston wrote in a letter that the air had the "smell of a malt-house or a coal-kiln".
William Corliss, the physicist and chronicler of unexplained events, found 46 accounts of dark days around the world between 1091 and 1971.
Nowadays people can call upon scientific knowledge, satellite pictures and the media for reassurance. But Dark Days have continued to unsettle people until surprisingly recently.
A Dark Day in a similar part of North America to 1780's occurred in 1950. It was caused by forest fires in Alberta and prompted alarm and confusion, says David Phillips, senior climatologist at Environment Canada.

"If you'd woken up at noon you'd have believed it was midnight. People thought it was nuclear attack or a solar eclipse."
Whatever the cause in 1780, the geography must have exacerbated the fear, says Dash. Settlements tended to go little more than 200 miles inland. In essence, European settlers were living on the edge of a vast unknown continent.
"When it goes dark for them, there's no guarantee it is ever going to get light again. In those days it would be quite natural to think it was the Second Coming," Dash says. When dawn arrived, it is likely that prayers of thanks were said across the previously benighted land.

AND NONE CAN DELIVER

My favorite female in this entire dispensation would have to be Eliza R. Snow.  I named two daughters in honor of her great life.  Not sure how she would rank against the "all-time greats" list.  There was little written of the three Mary's of Jesus' life, nor of Eve; God's pick to initiate the human race - but these gals had to be exceptional; the best of the best in order to float to those lofty positions.  But, I can read Eliza's poetry, much about her life in general and know she was one sharp gal!  What she says has weight with me as I know she lived a difficult, yet righteous life and exercised her priesthood and prophetic gift to the utmost of any early male or female.  Here is what she had to say about the future of our nation:

June 1, 1847, Emmeline Wells: "Brother Leonard spoke in tongues in an Indian language, and prophesied of the destruction of this nation before the coming of the Savior. The power that rested upon him was so great as to produce such an intense sympathy with those in the room, that they were all wonderfully affected. Sister Eliza R. Snow walked the floor to keep her breath. All felt the distress and agony that awaited the nation, more particularly the priests and harlots being destroyed in their wickedness. Sister Eliza Snow spoke afterwards in the pure language of Adam, with great power, and the interpretation was given."

June 1, 1847, Eliza R. Snow: "Spent the eve. at br. Leonard's with Priscinda, Zina & Sarah--Great instruction was brought forth--br. L. spoke of the American government--its fall &c. after which the Lord manifested the contrast of the happiness of the saints and the suff'ring of the gentiles when the Lamanites go forth. Language cannot describe the scene."

Interesting times to come.  As per scripture, the Lamanites in their vengeance, will be the means of delivering the chastisement.  The more righteous among them will have the privilege of building up the temple at the New Jerusalem under the direction of the few righteous Ephraimites (or Gentiles as the Book of Mormon calls us) that remain.

CLASSED AMONG THE WICKED CITIES OF THE WORLD

Well, two Christmases ago, I was contacted through facebook about the first family that I had the privilege of teaching and baptizing in Brazil.  The oldest girl, who at the time of the parents' baptism, was just three years old and who used to climb on me like a jungle jim, was now a beautiful young woman and a recent new mother who had married a BYU law student, finishing up their last few years at school.  The mother, whom I had baptized years ago was in town to visit her new grand child.  So - not wanting to miss this opportunity for the world - I asked my kids who was up for a winter Christmas break adventure and we started off into some very bad weather the day after Christmas.  We eventually made it to Provo, UT after some harrowing driving and had a wonderful reunion - although I have to admit, my Portuguese was definitely in need of some shoring up.....

While driving from Ogden to SLC and further down into Provo, my 15 year old daughter could not help but notice the number of billboards involving plastic surgery and "body alterations".  I had to say she was onto something - and I could not dismiss it as a bunch of plastic surgeons who were really hurting at the time (we were in a recession - and that kind of thing is typically funded by discretionary income....).  It really left an impression on me - I am married to a gal who has tons of natural beauty and that may put makeup on just a couple of times a week on average - and not much at that.  So this phenomenon left an impression on me and reminded me of the prophecy of how SLC would be classed among the wicked (vain/homosexual) cities of the world.  According to Wikipedia, this is actually the case:

Less than 50% of Salt Lake City's residents are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is a much lower proportion than in Utah's more rural municipalities; altogether, LDS members make up about 62% of Utah's population.^[59]

Salt Lake City has been considered one of the top 51 "gay-friendly places to live" in the U.S.^[64] The city is home to a large, business savvy, organized, and politically supported homosexual community. Leaders of the Episcopal Church's Diocese of Utah,^[65][66] as well as leaders of Utah's largest Jewish congregation, the Salt Lake Kol Ami,^[67] along with three elected representatives of the city identify themselves as gay. These developments have attracted controversy from socially conservative officials representing other regions of the state. A 2006 study by UCLA estimates that approximately 7.6% of the city's population, or almost 14,000 people, are openly homosexual or bisexual, compared to just 3.7%, or just over 60,000 people, for the metropolitan area as a whole.^[68]
In 2007 Salt Lake City was ranked by Forbes Magazine as the most vain city in America based on the number of plastic surgeons per 100,000 and their spending habits on cosmetics, which exceed that of cities of similar size.^[69] However, this likely reflects a concentration of plastic surgeons within the city limits but whose client base includes the entire metropolitan area. Forbes Magazine also found the city to be the 8th most stressful. In contrast to the 2007 ranking by Forbes, a 2010 study conducted by Portfolio.com and bizjournals concluded Salt Lake City was the least stressful city in the United States.^[70]

Now, I have nothing against anyone who is homosexual - they should be loved with an extra measure in order to ensure that they know where they can find a haven when they are ready to repent - but the practice and creeping/slide of morality should not be tolerated in the least.  I just saw a  great (wholesome) movie called Shunned and it illustrated the example of how a lack of love can lead to unwanted consequences in someone who has gone astray.

ENTIRE CITIES SWALLOWED IN THE EARTH - REVISITED

This blog is a hobby - and I do not have a lot of time to throw at it, but many of these posts are just scratching the surface of information I have gained or gleaned on some particular topic.  Many times, I have a spare 5 mins to spend on it, or I have read an article as I am falling asleep (thus the shoddy nature of the writing), and I just tap out something simple.  So, if readers click on the "Post More Info" button on the bottom of the article, I am happy to revisit something.  I posted the soils data for northern Utah that shows where liquefaction is most likely to occur in the Salt Lake Valley.  CLICK LINK

Why do I car about this stuff?  Because my wife and I bought our first home in the valley - a fixer-upper that was built mostly from unreinforced structural brick - which kept me up alot thinking about how it would ride a shaker out.  Also, I care because, since I have moved from the valley, I have read enough stuff to know that there will be a massive (read M8.5-10.0+) earthquake in that valley within the next 0-20 years which will cause massive bad results.  Of course, my concern is "What will become of the Temple, Church HQ, etc?" in the event of such a massive shaker.  The SL temple is not re-inforced in any way and I believe its strictly a mass building - one that relies on sheer mass and gravity to ride out the massive stresses and g-forces that are experienced in a M7+ event.  I have been studying up on how the Greeks and others used mortise and tenon joints (with the locking feature being a cast-in-place metal plug) on their stone buildings which helped them ride the tremors out.  The Incans used similar technology plus interlocking stones - veritable 3D puzzles - to keep things together in their seismically active areas.  I do not believe that the SL temple has that luxury in its construction.  But it is in a similarly active seismic Zone 5 - so how will it survive what surely must be coming?

I am fairly confident that Brigham Young nailed things on two levels when he uttered prophetically as he struck his cane into the ground and designated the spot the temple is built on as the place where, 40 years later, a temple would stand erected - and, at a later time, that that temple would see its way into the Millennium - past all the prophesied destruction.

Years ago, I read a report that indicated that when American Stores (I think they are now defunct) went to build their store in the downtown core (just south of temple square), they did the geological survey of what is below them so they could gauge how deep to go with their pilings in order to support their building's mass on what is typically known to be alluvial material (small to larger gravel washed out of the mountains - stuff you would find on the bed of a former lake...).  I would love to get my hands on that report, BTW - if anyone knows where the link is.  I have scoured the internet for hours trying to locate it again so I could do a decent piece on the topic and cannot find it....  Anyway, the results were stunning.  The entire area directly under them and north to the capitol building sits directly on top of a granite plug that rises up from hundreds to thousands of feet out of the alluvial soil and provides a base on which to build a large temple.  In a massive shaker, a building that relies solely on mass as its seismic counter-measure will probably survive if the forces are normal to the foundation (up and down) and not too heavily in shear (side to side).  Any similar building of that mass on alluvial soil would simply disappear up to its spire or worse, as alluvial soil acts like a bunch of ball bearings.  Try it - get a bunch of BBs, put them in a deep tray and get blocks of similar dimensions but varying densities (increased mass per unit volume).  Put them on a shaker table (local h-ware store if you don't have one sitting around in the basement) - and see how the heavier the mass, the deeper it sinks.  The foam block will pretty much just float on top of the ball bearings while the lead block will disappear as the BBs are displaced around it.  I am confident that the areas directly around Temple Square and very "gay" alphabet streets and UofU area will take a massive hit as the energy manifested in an earthquake is directly proportional to the distance from the fault (right on top of it) and the depth of portion of the fault that erupts (this one will probably erupt at the surface of the earth, judging by the escarpments we see a little further south in the Cottonwood Canyon areas. Also, the benches are just big gravel beds where the faster moving water from the canyon creeks hit the placid lake waters of the Lake Bonneville shoreline - and dropped the sediments, etc.

While working with the Youth in one of the wards in the valley, we did a service project to clean up the City Creek Park just above (north) and east of Temple Square.  At the time we were baffled at the bags full of discarded clothing that we collected from the bushes.  Mostly shorts, underwear and the occasional t-shirt...  There was a lot more clothing than actual conventional trash.  I had never heard of gay cruising (at that point) until I read about the old I-15 rest stop between Lehi and Provo that was shut down for such activity - people acting like wild dogs, roaming around looking for a "casual encounter" much like the infamous senator from Idaho that was busted in an undercover sting in a mid-west airport.  Yup - there are tons of gays in the valley - and they are acting no better than the wild animals - except the wild animals at least mostly have enough sense/instinct to do the mating rituals with the opposite gender....  And thus, the statement that SLC would become one of the most wicked cities on the face of the earth is pretty much coming to fruition....and wicked cities tend to get wiped out - as the Sodomites found out.....

So, that report along with a confident prophetic statement or two from Brigham Young put my worries to bed.  The geological data shown in the link above confirms it - you can see that the liquefaction data in the Temple Square area matches the data in the canyon areas where the granite for the SL Temple was taken from.  Rock solid - while the surrounding area is pretty much ball bearing city.

On a side note - the liquefaction data also bears out what we know from other prophetic statements that there will be large tent cities on the foothills of the Oquirrhs (west side of the valley) when the destruction in the valley occurs.  There may be liquefaction in the west side - but nothing like the middle of the valley and the east benches.  While many in those tent cities will be refugees from the massive devastation that occurs on the West Coast (where I am now writing this at....),  who will flee from really bad, to "not as bad", (its all relative, isn't it?), many of the refugees will be displaced from the destroyed east side (where the main Wasatch Fault is) and down south from the Lehi and Point of the Mountain areas where the east/west fault lines intersect the north/south fault lines in the valley.  This is pure guesswork on my part - but, I believe, without divine intervention to intercede, I do not believe the new temple down in Draper will make it due to its extremely bad location.

When it was being built, I marvelled at how close the Oquirrh Mtn temple is to the older Jordan River temple - there is alot of new development out in that area - but really; enough to support a whole new temple when the WJ temple was largely under-utilized when I was there 15 years ago?  My personal feeling is it has been built (and heckastout, at that, just like the new Nauvoo Temple) to withstand the fury of what is coming, and so that the people that come to the refugee camps of the Oquirrh foothills can be converted and receive their endowments in their hour of need as they are humbled and become acquainted with their Maker in their extremity.  There will be a massive influx into the Church at that time - and at points afterward.  It will be amazing - the last gathering before the burning.

So, I guess the message of this post is, there is alot of destruction coming to those areas and that if you have questions or would like more info - please check the button at the bottom of the post and I will pass on more info as I have time.  Also, as we approach the next couple of years, please pray for me - that I will know when the right time to "pre-evacuate" is.  Being on the coast, and watching all of the prophesied wickedness come about, I know we are setting ourselves up for deserved destruction, but I am still here earning a living so I can afford to be prepared to ride this thing out.  The key (as Noah, Lehi and many others found out) is knowing when enough is enough..... and when its time to pull the handle between the knees and punch out and save yourself....

THE PROGRESSION OF SIN

There have been alot of disturbing reports in the news lately that touch on cannibalism.  The first one that seared my mind many years ago was Jeffrey Dahmer who kidnapped little kids (boys), violated them (he was a homosexual - and that little detail is never pointed out in the media), and then he would kill them and then have a meal of various body parts.  Yep, pretty shocking, disgusting stuff.

The latest headline grabbing act of cannibalism is pretty much a carbon copy of Dahmer's despicable acts.  So what is the driver behind this kind of stuff.  Oh, the stupid liberals will call for gun control, then discover that a knife was used, then attempt to put a ban on the Chicago Cutlery....  Absolutely ridiculous stuff.  All the while the liberals are calling for adopting homosexual indoctrination in our schools, sex education touting "if it feels good, then do it", responsible drinking and drug use, etc.  Things they WILL have to answer for.  And I will be there - maybe not on the jury - but on the sidelines of the trial ensuring my witness is added to the narrative of how they have taken God's greatest work (this nation of freedom and justice) and made it into a hellish sea of destruction.

The conservative in me rejects any such ridiculous and devilish notions.  There have always been "gateway" sins that initiate a person on the path to debauchery.  This progression is not always followed to the letter, nor does it always end in unholy BBQ, but the ending is the same with the person bound in the everlasting chains of hell and under the power of the adversary and his minions.  Here we go with what these downward spiraling steps are:

- Word of Wisdom issues - drinking, ever hardening drugs that dull a person's senses
- Pornography and awareness of sexuality outside of a healthy context (distorting the sacred union of  man/woman)
- Mild Law of Chastity issues - french kissing, petting, everything but sex before marriage
- Egregious Law of Chastity issues - Sex before marriage or outside of marriage with opposite sex
- Homosexual relationships
- Murder
- Cannibalism

I am not sure a human being can sink lower than this last one, other than denying the Holy Ghost - and I think that denying the Holy Ghost is somewhere in the middle of those, depending on a person's light and knowledge.  All of these things lead to a next more serious sin until an individual feels trapped and unredeemable - where hope of the atoning blood of Christ appears to be out of reach.

So next time you meet someone who has pulled out of a spiritual nose-dive and get to talk to them about their journey into the abyss, see if it does not follow a similar pattern.  I think you will be surprised that this pattern is followed pretty closely.  Next time someone points out their belief that there is no harm in homosexuality - that its just a preference, point out that its possible that its just a mere two steps away from twisted barbeque..... and that it is one of the d'evils steps on the 12 step program to total personal, soul wrenching destruction and should be avoided like the plague.  It would be good to note here that most pre-modern cultures that have ended in the dust heap seem to have the tell-tale cannibalism as one of their last phases before self-annihilation.  The archeaologists always seem to find the tell-tale signs of bones cut with knives and other man-made objects and surmise that it was just part of their culture as a whole - and that it was a long-standing practice.  The Aztecs are one example where right before their end body parts ended up on the menu, natives of Easter Island yet another.  Yet, these same peoples made amazing advances in architecture, science, medicine, etc. - and the two (cannibalism and cultural advancement) are mutually exclusive.  Cannibals do not make good scientists (at least in biology and medicine), as they always end up eating their experiments.  In modern science, the closest group that made it to the heights of learning while simultaneously plunging to the depraved depths of debauchery, were the Germans under Hitler's regime.  So these archeaologists are making their suppositions based on a false line of thinking when they find the scored bones directly under the ash layer that showed the end of the depraved civilization.  The cannibalism was the last step of depravity before God allowed that group to be destroyed - or to destroy themselves so that another generation of innocent ones would not have to be exposed to the gross sin and base animalistic existence their fathers/mothers would bring them up in.  I have not read any ancient records to back this up (other than what some of the modern explorers have said about some of the modern peoples of Papua New Guinea who have been known to have their rival tribes over for dinner...), but I would suspect that homosexuality became rampant in those cultures just before the wanton murder and cannibalism set in.  No doubt, by inference, the people in Noah's day (whose culture was "filled with violence" and state-sanctioned gay marriage [CLICK to see my previous post on this topic] and late-term abortion; also experienced their share of cannibalism as people continued the depravity cycle to the bottom.  Of course, the result was total and complete annihilation by God for their actions.  We, of course, can expect nothing less for our collective crimes.  There, however, will be a few more than 8 saved this time around - probably more like 8%, or a little more by my worst-case guestimate and the destruction will come by the proscribed fire and not the former watery deep.  When it comes - if I happen to be a casualty of it, I will be cheering it on until I am no longer.  I am sick of the absolute garbage I see going on around me - so bring it on, so that the surviving generation can make a clean start.  As my BAC friend says - Come Quickly Jesus!!

Back on topic:  The d'evil will never know joy, sacred union of man and woman, the thrill of child birth, the perfect coupling of two loving people; and man and woman with their unique affirming and strengthening differences, he will never know the pain and ecstasy of life, never kneel across the altar and experience the long-term commitment of God's most sacred of ordinances that exalts and helps two people go the distance through the eternities.  He will never know the sensation of giving life or even the sweet kiss of death that comes to the righteous.  It is for this reason that he puts all the stuff on that list in the fore-front of our fallen society and his end-goal is to destroy family, life and eternal union.  The end-game of this whole exercise and homosexual agenda is to destroy our attempts to, without any interference, marry for time and all eternity in the House of the Lord.  If you lend even a small measure of support to that agenda - YOU ARE DOING THE DEVIL'S BIDDING - are my personal enemy (and more importantly, God's!) and need to repent speedily for your destruction will surely come.  I promise you that.

Do people struggle with same sex attraction?  Sure they do!  There are minions born with both pieces - and sometimes the doctors make an educated guess at birth on which way they should go in gender assignment.  They may struggle with same sex attraction as much as I struggle with opposite sex attraction (after marriage), but that does not give me or anyone else license to act on it.  For those individuals who suffer, it may be that they bear that cross their entire lives - and I believe they will be handsomely rewarded for having valiantly struggled.

Folks, we are at a cross roads.  We are in an election year where we get to make a choice - and we have one clear bad choice when it comes to God's definition of marriage - and a few alternatives.   I pray we all choose wisely, for I know that there will be destruction and hellish consequences awaiting us if we do not make the right choice.  God allowed the Noahidic peoples to be destroyed based on the exact issues we are facing today of abortion, destruction of the family and marriage through the homosexual agenda and violence.  LET US CHOOSE WISELY!

A WOMAN CLOTHED WITH THE SUN

I may be missing something here - and I have seen no commentary that would back this up; but didn't we just have a sign in the heavens regarding the second coming of our Lord and Savior?  Did not Venus (the woman) just pass directly in front of our sun (so that the entire world could see her at the same time)?

 1 And there appeared a great sign in heaven, in the likeness of things on the earth; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.

 2 And the woman being with child, cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

 3 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up unto God and his throne.

I just woke up from a very poignant dream where I saw it and was trying to get my camera to snap a pic of it as it appeared in the clouds.  Maybe its just me, but that appeared to be a perfect fulfillment of that scripture.....  If this IS it, the next route is the coming forth of the anti-Christ to rule all nations with an iron rod.  After getting whigged out about the last pope prophecy and a whole host of other stuff, I would say we are in it and are on the last 20-25 year track until Jesus comes again in glory.  Woohoo!!!

AMERICAN INDEPENDENT PARTY ON THE RISE ACCORDING TO PROPHECY

This is not a political blog - but I do have to say my wife and I will, for the first time in our lives, go independent for Ron Paul who is actually backing the Constitution - and has never said it is "outmoded" like some people in the high halls of power seem to think it is....  I cannot back Romney since he dissed his own g-pa who fled to Mexico to live out his life under (what I thought after reading Section 132) what is the higher law for those who have the character and the backbone and raw will to live it; basically saying that those who live the way Abraham and other greats did, were freaks.  I cannot back someone who flip flops on issues like a loose piece of tin on a roof in a windstorm, and who has the backbone of a jellyfish....

So I am left with no choice but to back someone who just has character and is faithful to his wife (that is my minimum requirement for politicians as of late).....  Its not just me either who is becoming part of the prophecy of our political future where Joseph Smith said the two parties would go to war and the Independent movement would rise up out of the resulting mess.  We are IN IT folks.

Next steps:

1) Completion of the existing Financial collapse.
2)  (un)Civil War.  There is rarely any civility in it.....
3)  Weakness due to internal strife will cause us to be invaded by the "red" forces.  Gee; wonder who or what that could be....
4)  Nasty war of desolation on our own soil accompanied by plagues, limited nuclear, etc.

More Americans now call themselves politically independent than at any point in the last 75 years, according to a new poll. The survey also shows that those who do align themselves with a party are more ideological and have become more polarized than at any point in the last 25 years, particularly on issues important in this year's presidential and congressional campaigns.
Party loyalty, however, only goes so far; neither Republicans nor Democrats say their own party is doing a good job standing up for its traditional positions.
Five months before the November elections, the Pew Research Center poll released Monday sheds light on how the electorate feels about the nation's two major political parties. And sour seems to be an understatement.
The results indicate a collective thumbs down to both the Democratic and Republican Party, showing that an unprecedented 38 percent of adults rejected both parties and call themselves independents. Only 32 percent now say they are Democrats and 24 percent now call themselves Republicans.
This flight away from the two major political parties began in 2008, a time of intense partisanship as President Barack Obama battled Republican Sen. John McCain for the White House.
Then as now, independent voters are a critical constituency that candidates must win over to prevail in competitive general elections.
Exit polls show these voters have sided with the winning candidate in all but two of the past 10 presidential elections. Independents broke for Obama, 52 percent to 44 percent for McCain four years ago. And recent polling suggests independents are about evenly divided now between Obama and Mitt Romney, his likely Republican rival.
Independent voters also have been on the winning side in congressional contests eight out of nine times since the 1994 election, when Republicans took control of the House for the first time in 40 years.
So both Republicans and Democrats are making serious plays to win them over.
The survey found that the face of the independent voter also is changing, posing challenges for Democrats.
More Hispanic and younger voters - key Democratic voting blocs - say they are politically independent and Republicans are aggressively courting them.
Hispanics who describe themselves as independents have jumped from 31 percent in 2006 to 46 percent now. And nearly half of Americans born since 1981 now say they are independents.
To be sure, 56 percent of Americans still identify themselves as a member of either the Democratic or the Republican parties.
But the parties are pushing out those in the ideological middle.
The vast majority of Republicans, 68 percent, say they are conservative, up from 60 percent in 2000. And the conservative Democrat has become scarce as the share of self-described liberals in the party has grown 10 points since 2000, from 28 percent to 38 percent. As the moderates abandon both parties, the poll finds partisans' views on the major issues in this year's campaign have become more deeply polarized since the Pew Center first measured those views in 1987.
The poll measured opinions on 48 different questions about basic political values, and found Democrats and Republicans farther apart than at any point since 1987.
The sharpest differences between partisans fall mostly on the issues at the core of this year's campaign regarding government's role and effectiveness: whether regulation helps or hurts business, how involved government should be in people's lives and whether government programs are effective or wasteful. Sharp differences also centered on the question of how much of a "social safety net" government should provide - whether government should make sure every citizen's basic needs are met or take care of those in need even if it means more debt.
Shifting opinions on these issues are not limited to core partisans: Independents who lean toward either Republicans or Democrats are also more sharply polarized from each other than they were 25 years ago, particularly on how much government should do and how effective it is.
Obama holds a slim edge over Romney in the poll, 49 percent to 45 percent, among registered voters, and the results suggest the sharpest divides between Romney and Obama supporters are over the role and effectiveness of government.
About one-fourth of voters are "swing voters," or those who are not firmly committed to a candidate. Ideologically, this group is closer to Romney on the social safety net, but closer to Obama on social issues and questions about labor unions. They fall about evenly between the two on the role of government.
The poll also found a liberal shift on social issues in recent decades, with fewer saying they hold old-fashioned values about family and marriage, or the role of women.
The Pew Research Center 2012 Values Survey was conducted by telephone April 4-15 among a random national sample of 3,008 adults. Interviews were conducted by live interviews and respondents were reached on landline and cellular telephones. The margin of sampling error for results based on all interviews is plus or minus 2.1 percentage points.

THE DESCENDANTS OF JACOB SHALL TEAR THEM TO PIECES

I have to say, I have long looked at this prophecy in the Book of Mormon as one of the most difficult to fulfill - looking at the historical state of the native American tribes.  It has just seemed so improbable - until lately, as our nation seems to be rife with division and problems and we are now ready for the judgments of God to descend upon us:

REMNANT SHALL TEAR THEM TO PIECES

I know that the Book of Mormon (and all her prophecies) shall be fulfilled ever jot and every tittle.  The verse above was written by Moroni who had just witnessed his entire people being mowed down by the vengeful Lamanites (in what is never spoken of in polite circles of as a race war of total annihilation).   He read the prophecies of 3rd Nephi that the Savior had uttered - and said that those very same things would happen to us in our day - the same that had happened in his day when those chosen ones let go of the iron rod, etc..

And I know that this individual saw our day - the second Civil War that is coming which will lead to the remnant of Jacob being able to mow down the weak and the wicked who have lost their spiritual and physical strength.  The wicked will kill the wicked at that point.  Looking at the gang problem in LA and the angst of the members of La Raza and those who desire Atzlan, it will be a horror for those who have to deal with them who have not been safely gathered out.  They will be vicious.  The righteous descendants of Jacob (Manasseh) who have chosen the Lord as their guide, of course, will be a boon to the Saints and will largely be responsible for building up the New Jerusalem. The wicked, however, will be relentless and bloody in their race war of total annihilation once again.

Having read the prophecies of what is coming, those who have gathered to safety in the mountains will be afflicted, as well, by the gangs who will prowl like wolves picking off the weak and unprotected.  The laws set down by people at that time will have to be "zero tolerance" towards gang activity, looting, etc, or they will be over-run by those of gadiantonesque behavior.   Summary executions will be the norm until things stabilize once again and Zion begins to flower and prosper after the initial destructions and purgings have passed.

Here is the prophecy that I have been alluding to:

This generation shall be visited by an overflowing scourge. Of the precise nature of it we are not informed. It shall pass over the nations night and day. The affect of this visitation will be so direful and calamitous that the reports of its terrible ravages will fill all people with vexation. The operations of this fear-inspiring and destructive agent will continue until the appearance of the Lord in his glory.
Some of the judgment are definite as to locality. As an instance may be cited the approaching disruption of the Unites States of America. One of the horrors announced by the prophet upon that nation is now a matter of history the war of the Rebellion. Another and more appalling condition awaits that ill-fated people. It shall fall upon them like the visitation of a whirlwind, sweeping the country like a mighty flood. The populace will be divided into innumerable factions, and blood, carnage and woe will be rampant among them, filling the hearts of the more peacefully disposed with fear and dismay. Many will laugh at such a prediction, but, unless the people repent, it will come as surely as night follows day. Weakened and powerless from internal broils and disturbances, the nation will become a prey to the remnants left of the aboriginal inhabitants, who will be filled with vengeful rage at the wrongs that have been perpetrated upon them and furiously spread destruction in every direction. 13 Sept., 1880, p. 584-587. 

This should not strike fear in your heart - fear is not of God.  It should however, empower you to make the necessary changes in your life in order to be ready to face what comes shortly.

A VOLCANIC ERUPTION AND THE BRINGING FORTH OF THE BOOK OF MORMON

I am not sure where I first saw this, but I mentioned it in a class and everyone looked at me with a blank stare.  I thought it was common knowledge that the Lord basically allowed a volcano to explode, causing a young family to be forced to move from the cold state of Vermont to "warmer" climes of upstate New York where they could possibly eke out a subsistence living more easily - and where a young boy would go to a glacially-formed hill to be shown a record that had been deposited there by an ancient people that had previously inhabited the land.  The greatest factor in the climate change that led to the dawning of this last dispensation, was the eruption of Mt. The Year Without a Summer (also known as the Poverty Year, Year There Was No Summer, and Eighteen Hundred and Froze to Death^[1]) was 1816, in which severe summer climate abnormalities caused average global temperatures to decrease by about 0.4–0.7 °C (0.7–1.3 °F),^[2] resulting in major food shortages across the Northern Hemisphere.^[3][4] It is believed that the anomaly was caused by a combination of a historic low in solar activity with a volcanic winter event, the latter caused by a succession of major volcanic eruptions capped by the 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora, in the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia), the largest known eruption in over 1,300 years.
Historian John D. Post has called this "the last great subsistence crisis in the Western world".^[5]

Description

The unusual climatic aberrations of 1816 had the greatest effect on the northeastern United States, Atlantic Canada, and parts of western Europe. Typically, the late spring and summer of the northeastern U.S. and southeastern Canada are relatively stable: temperatures (average of both day and night) average about 68 °F (20 °C) and 77 °F (25 °C) and rarely fall below 41 °F (5 °C). Summer snow is an extreme rarity.
In the spring and summer of 1816, a persistent "dry fog" was observed in the northeastern US. The fog reddened and dimmed the sunlight, such that sunspots were visible to the naked eye. Neither wind nor rainfall dispersed the "fog". It has been characterized as a stratospheric sulfate aerosol veil.^[6]
In May 1816,^[1] frost killed off most of the crops that had been planted, and on 4 June 1816, frosts were reported in Connecticut, and by the following day, most of New England was gripped by the cold front. On 6 June 1816, snow fell in Albany, New York, and Dennysville, Maine.^[7] Nearly 12 inches (30 cm) of snow was observed in Quebec City in early June, with consequent additional loss of crops—most summer-growing plants have cell walls which rupture even in a mild frost. The result was regional malnutrition, starvation, epidemic,^{[clarification needed]} and increased mortality.
In July and August, lake and river ice were observed as far south as Pennsylvania. Rapid, dramatic temperature swings were common, with temperatures sometimes reverting from normal or above-normal summer temperatures as high as 95 °F (35 °C) to near-freezing within hours. Even though farmers south of New England did succeed in bringing some crops to maturity, maize and other grain prices rose dramatically. The price of that staple food, oats,^[8] for example, rose from 12¢ a bushel ($3.40/m³) in 1815, equal to $1.52 in today's purchasing power to 92¢ a bushel ($26/m³) in 1816, equal to $12.6 today. Those areas suffering local crop failures had to deal with the lack of roads in the early 19th century, preventing any easy importation of bulky food stuffs.^[9]
Cool temperatures and heavy rains resulted in failed harvests in Britain and Ireland as well. Families in Wales travelled long distances as refugees, begging for food. Famine was prevalent in north and southwest Ireland, following the failure of wheat, oats, and potato harvests. The crisis was severe in Germany, where food prices rose sharply. Due to the unknown cause of the problems, demonstrations in front of grain markets and bakeries, followed by riots, arson, and looting, took place in many European cities. It was the worst famine of the 19th century.^[7][10]
In China, the cold weather killed trees, rice crops, and even water buffalo, especially in northern China. Floods destroyed many remaining crops. Mount Tambora’s eruption disrupted China’s monsoon season, resulting in overwhelming floods in the Yangtze Valley in 1816. In India the delayed summer monsoon caused late torrential rains that aggravated the spread of cholera from a region near the River Ganges in Bengal to as far as Moscow.^[11]
In New York City, the temperature dropped to −26 °F (−32 °C) during the ensuing bitter winter of 1817. This resulted in a freezing of New York's Upper Bay deep enough for horse-drawn sleighs to be driven across Buttermilk Channel from Brooklyn to Governors Island.^[12]
The effects were widespread and lasted beyond the winter. In eastern Switzerland, the summers of 1816 and 1817 were so cool that an ice dam formed below a tongue of the Giétro Glacier high in the Val de Bagnes. In spite of the efforts of the engineer Ignaz Venetz to drain the growing lake, the ice dam collapsed catastrophically in June 1818.^[13]

Causes

It is now generally thought that the aberrations occurred because of the 1815 (April 5–15) volcanic Mount Tambora eruption^[14][15] on the island of Sumbawa, Indonesia (then part of the Dutch East Indies, but under British rule during Napoleon's occupation of the Netherlands), described by Thomas Stamford Raffles.^[16] The eruption had a Volcanic Explosivity Index ranking of 7, a super-colossal event that ejected immense amounts of volcanic ash into the upper atmosphere. It was the world's largest eruption since the Hatepe eruption over 1,630 years earlier in AD 180. That the 1815 eruption occurred during the middle of the Dalton Minimum (a period of unusually low solar activity) may also be significant.^{[citation needed]}
Other large volcanic eruptions (with VEI at least 4) during the same time frame are:

• 1812, La Soufrière on Saint Vincent in the Caribbean
• 1812, Awu in the Sangihe Islands, Indonesia
• 1813, Suwanosejima in the Ryukyu Islands, Japan
• 1814, Mayon in the Philippines

These other eruptions had already built up a substantial amount of atmospheric dust. As is common following a massive volcanic eruption, temperatures fell worldwide because less sunlight passed through the atmosphere.

Effects

As a result of the series of volcanic eruptions, crops in the above-mentioned areas had been poor for several years; the final blow came in 1815 with the eruption of Tambora. Europe, still recuperating from the Napoleonic Wars, suffered from food shortages. Food riots broke out in the United Kingdom and France, and grain warehouses were looted. The violence was worst in landlocked Switzerland, where famine caused the government to declare a national emergency. Huge storms and abnormal rainfall with floodings of the major rivers of Europe (including the Rhine) are attributed to the event, as was the frost setting in during August 1816. A major typhus epidemic occurred in Ireland between 1816 and 1819, precipitated by the famine caused by "The Year Without a Summer". It is estimated that 100,000 Irish perished during this period. A BBC documentary using figures compiled in Switzerland estimated that fatality rates in 1816 were twice that of average years, giving an approximate European fatality total of 200,000 deaths.
New England also experienced great consequences from the eruption of Tambora. The corn crop was grown significantly in New England and the eruption caused the crop to fail. It was reported that in the summer of 1816 corn ripened so badly that no more than a quarter of it was usable for food. The crop failures in New England, Canada and parts of Europe also caused the price of wheat, grains, meat, vegetables, butter, milk and flour to rise sharply.
The eruption of Tambora also caused Hungary to experience brown snow. Italy experienced something similar, with red snow falling throughout the year. The cause of this is believed to have been volcanic ash in the atmosphere.
In China, unusually low temperatures in summer and fall devastated rice production in Yunnan province in the southwest, resulting in widespread famine. Fort Shuangcheng, now in Heilongjiang province, reported fields disrupted by frost and conscripts deserting as a result. Summer snowfall was reported in various locations in Jiangxi and Anhui provinces, both in the south of the country. In Taiwan, which has a tropical climate, snow was reported in Hsinchu and Miaoli, while frost was reported in Changhua.^[17]

High levels of ash in the atmosphere led to unusually spectacular sunsets during this period, a feature celebrated in the paintings of J. M. W. Turner. It has been theorised that it was this that gave rise to the yellow tinge that is predominant in his paintings such as Chichester Canal circa 1828. Similar phenomena were observed after the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa and on the West Coast of the United States following the 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines.
The lack of oats to feed horses may have inspired the German inventor Karl Drais to research new ways of horseless transportation, which led to the invention of the draisine or velocipede. This was the ancestor of the modern bicycle and a step toward mechanized personal transport.^[18]
The crop failures of the “Year without a Summer” may have helped shape the settling of the "American Heartland", as many thousands of people (particularly farm families who were wiped out by the event) left New England for what is now western and central New York and the Upper Midwest (then the Northwest Territory) in search of a more hospitable climate, richer soil, and better growing conditions.^[19]

According to historian L.D. Stillwell, Vermont alone experienced a drop of 10,000 to 15,000 people, erasing seven previous years of population growth.^[5] Among those who left Vermont were the family of Joseph Smith, who moved from Sharon, Vermont, to Palmyra, New York.^[20] This move precipitated a series of events which culminated in the publication of the Book of Mormon and the founding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.^[11]
In July 1816 "incessant rainfall" during that "wet, ungenial summer" forced Mary Shelley, John William Polidori, and their friends to stay indoors for much of their Swiss holiday. They decided to have a contest to see who could write the scariest story, leading Shelley to write Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus and Lord Byron to write "A Fragment", which Polidori later stole and rewrote as The Vampyre^[21] — a precursor to Dracula. In addition, Lord Byron was inspired to write a poem, Darkness, at the same time.
Justus von Liebig, a chemist who had experienced the famine as a child in Darmstadt, later studied plant nutrition and introduced mineral fertilizers.

• The eruption of Mount Pinatubo in 1991 led to odd weather patterns and temporary cooling in the United States, particularly in the Midwest and parts of the Northeast. An unusually mild winter and a warm, early spring were followed by an unusually cool, wet summer and a cold, early autumn in 1992.

ACCORDING TO TALMUDIC TRADITION, WE ALREADY HAVE THE SIGN OF THE DESTRUCTION OF THE WORLD

The Orion Comet Sign

The Talmud records the oral tradition of the Jews (Berachoth 58b) which tells us that when a comet passes through the constellation Orion, the world would be destroyed. The Comet Hale-Bopp would appear to be a fulfillment of this sign. It entered the region of the sky known as Orion on May 20, 1997 and exited on June 16, 1997. Another comet appeared shortly afterward whose path paralleled that of Hale-Bopp. This comet, 1998 J1, or, "SOHO," has passed through Orion as well, and according to Bob Wadsworth's study of these two celestial objects, both entered the ancient constellation Argo on the same day, June 14, 1998. SOHO entered from the northwest, and Hale-Bopp, from the southwest.

The Noahic Flood Comet Sign

According to recent orbital calculations by astronomers, (re. Daniel W.E. Green of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics) this same comet we now call Hale-Bopp passed through the inner solar system once before - about 4210 years ago. The Flood began 1656 years from Adam, in the Fall of the year we know as 2238 BC. That was 4234 years ago. If the comet appeared somewhere around 4210 years, it was the time of the great flood. According to what is recorded in the Seder Olam Rabah, an ancient Jewish text, we may observe that a comet appeared at about the time Noah began building the ark. It was probably the comet we know now as Hale-Bopp! Do you think that this comet may have been a sign of the impending destruction of the world by water? I do!
According to our Lord's words in Matthew 24:

As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

By the sign of the rainbow, God's promise not to destroy the earth again by water still stands. However, the Earth will be destroyed by fire. What was evidently a portent of the first destruction could well be the same for the next.

ANNULAR ECLIPSE - A HARBINGER OF DISASTER

For ancient people who had to spend a disproportionate amount of their spare time just in the basic day-to-day activities associated with their survival, they spent an awful lot of time looking up at the sky.  I, for one, do not spend much time looking up - it may well be because there was nothing to look at (other than clouds and rain drops) as I grew up in the saturated Pacific Northwest US.

Now that I am in the Big Sky, I am still so busy that I rarely have time to enjoy that spectacular sight, let alone build an observatory to focus on celestial happenings.  The reason the ancient peoples did, is because eclipses and planetary alignments usually preceded or accompanied disasters due to the increased gravitational pull inducing stresses on the earth's crust, etc.  Here is some Jewish tradition:

According to Jewish Rabbinic tradition, an eclipse should be interpreted according to the following: (Talmud - Mas. Sukkah 29a) (The last pair are reversed in the minds of some.)

• Solar: a bad omen for idolaters
• Lunar: a bad omen for Israel
• Red Moon at Lunar eclipse: a sword is coming for the whole world
• Black Moon at Lunar eclipse: the arrows of famine are coming to the world
• Both red and black moon: both sword and famine
• In the East: specifically for those who live in the East
• In the West: specifically for those who live in the West
• In the midst of heaven: for the whole world
• At sunset: the calamity will tarry in its coming
• At dawn: the calamity is forthcoming

I neither agree nor disagree with the above interpretations, but I wanted you to see that these are assigned such meaning in the tradition of the religious leaders of Israel.

With our ridiculous educational system, we do not learn the truths that they knew inherently years ago.  I was about to write this piece with a prediction and wondering what might actually happen in the way of geological disturbances, when I surfed and found this article.  Looks like Mother Nature beat me to the punch!  I expected something on the Pacific Rim (in the path of the eclipse).  This could be strictly coinkydink, but you never know....

I participate in a few LDS-centric last days groups. Some I left a few years ago because I never felt the Spirit there or gained anything. Recently, however, they had a new member join who refuses to identify herself or provide an email address. She only communicates via the groups. She claims some pretty detailed dreams and that she's never been allowed to share it until now. Her posts have generated quite a lot of activity and buzz on those sites, re-energizing them. For whatever they're worth, I've collected them (warts, spelling errors and all) and pasted them below for your consideration, rejection, insight, etc.

Hi Alva, in response to yours and DOCS request, I feel I should Share a few things. First of all, I'm rarely allowed to do this. As I prayed about it, I feel that I do need to share these things now. Recently I have been shown that events have been "moved up". I have never been given timelines in the past, as agency is such a deciding factor as to the timing of events. Often what I have been shown has not always been in a particualar order. I do know things arent going to happen all at once. The first big event I was Shown was an earthquake along the Wasatch front,It was an 8.3, possibly up to an 8.6 And it began in SLC, right at the temple, oddly little was dammaged there,This part reminds me of a scripture, but I dont know the reference, it says..." at my house shall it begin"? This earthquake causes massive damage and death,I think its in late summer. I saw, both the deer creek and jordonelle dams break taking out cars houses etc... in its path, trees and water rocks and debri everywhere. In provo streets were so broken up there was fires, broken water pipes, and gas mains People died from the large glass shards from the Nuskin building as its windows broke. In Salt Lake I saw the mall across from temple square, gangs everywhere, people living in the parking garage with little fires to keep warm, people were dying in the streets, I saw one doctor with tears in his eyes, look up from his work in the street, he was completely overwhelmed at the mass of dead and dieing. A Hospital made of red brick on the east bench of SLC collapsed, It was the entire north wing that went.By where the old salt palace used to be, I also saw the north end of the structure collapse into rubble. I don't know salt lake very well but It was near symphony hall and I think the Delta center. At this point I saw blood running in the streets, it was Horrible. I watched a great big crack open up on the west end of the great salt lake and the lake poured into it. I also saw the refinery stacks on the south of the lake topple over, the lake was burning. People everywhere were homeless, the government set up shelters at hill air force base, and camp williams, micron, and lots of other places, DONT EVER GO TO THOSE !!!!!!! they become death camps I wached people get the mark of the beast there. It was just like the old small pox vaccine, a little white gun, they put them in the persons right hand then entered personal info on the person into a computer then scanned it just like at the supermarket. In the bacek corner I saw a small groutp of decenters they had on blue jumpsuits.. the others were a kind of orange color. I watched them strap the decentors on a gurney and put the mark in their fore head as a sign to everyone of their rebellion. I could go on and on. this is only the very beginning, while these things were happening in Utah the rest of the country was having violent weather and soon things went to marshal law. this post is waaay long. I'll share more as I can, but perhaps specific questions would be better than relating the whole book.

I also have seen a massive earthquake in SLC. It was so big I expected the Conference center to go down but it didn't. When I asked where the quake was centered I was given the answer "California".

I fear that at least one of the major quakes that many have seen hitting Utah is actually a California quake that is so massive that it still hits SLC at an 8 to 9 magnitude.

Did you ever ask where the quake(s) you have seen were centered? Just comparing notes...

I have been a lurker for many months but this subject has caused me to come out in the open. My Last Days physical preparation are as follows.

Fuel: Six 20-gallon propane bottles used on a natural gas oven/stove that has been converted to propane. This propane has a mechanical thermostat for the oven. Many natural gas/propane ovens these days have electric thermostats which are worthless if the power goes out. Each propane bottle will operate the stove for our family of five approximately 2 to 3 months.

I used to have stored 300 gallons of diesel fuel for our six VW diesel Rabbits but I kept having problems with water getting in the fuel because the storage containers I used were purchased because of price rather than functionality. I should have spent a little more money and bought the right storage containers in the first place. VW made the diesel Rabbits between 1978 and 1984. I drive Rabbit diesels for several reasons.

1. They are easy to work on and I can do all the maintenance myself. 2 They have mechanical fuel injection rather than electronic. No computers, so I don't have to take them to the dealer for interogation of the computer codes. 3. Parts are still plentiful and cheaper than every foreign car currently manufactured. 4. They get 45 to 50 MPG 5. Diesel fuel is easier to store than gasoline. 6. During a nuclear attack, the EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) generated by the blast will fry any transitor and diode not "hardened" against such attacks. (The military's computers are hardened against EMP.) Any computer controlled device will cease to operate; such as personal computers, power stations, ATM's, all modern cars, city water supply systems and gas stations. Diesel Rabbits have no computer controlled ignition or injection. These vehicles should still run after a nuclear attack. My next project is to purchase a hose and battery operated electric pump that could be mounted to my diesel Rabbit pickup. Since gas stations will no longer operate after a attack, I want to be able to pull up to a gas station, insert my hose into the underground tanks and pump either diesel or gas out of them.

Food: My food storage will last approximately 2 years. It is a mixture of both wet and dry food from the Church Cannery, canned goods from Costco and Safeway, MRE's, and Ama-Ama Products. Most of my wheat and dry goods is in #10 cans rather than plastic buckets. Cans are easier to handle than buckets. I used to have all my dry goods in buckets but they would crack, the seals would go bad or they would collaspe if I put too much dry ice in them.

I have picked up MRE's because during a diaster, you will be under a lot of stress and time will be at a premium. The last thing you will have time for is to spend several hours a day preparing meals. MRE's can be eaten cold or can be warmed up in a few minutes in boiling water.

To gind the wheat I have a grinder (purchased from Lehman's) that is hand operated, however, it can be motorized as well. The Lehman's wheat grinder has a large flywheel on it that the handle attaches to, with a groove cut into it for the motor drive belt. The heavy flywheel, once it is moving is easier to keep turning than a unit without one. The handle is long enough that two people could grasp and turn it.


Medicine: My wife has collected several herbal remedies to naturally treat various maladies. Cayene pepper, garlic oil, Colloidal Silver, several types of essentials oils: peppermint, "Thieves", oregano, cinammon, lavender and a few others. She also collected several remedies from Dr. Richard Shulze (Intestional Formula #1) and Dr. John Christopher (herbal salves). Both of them are herbalists. I am starting to stock up on some alternate remedies such as "Solutions ie". I would like to get some Homeopathic remedies as well


Water: We have 1500 gallons of water in four 275 gallon containers and the rest in 55-gallon plastic drums with a hand pump to get the water out. I want to get one of those "Big Berky" or Berky Light", gravity feed water filters. They don't need water pressure. You pour contaminated water in the top; it percolates down through the filters and is collected at the bottom, purifed and drinkable.


Communication: I've been able to get a HAM radio license and radios that will operate on VHF, UHF and HF bands. However, a nuclear attack will fry them so I'm thinking that when an attack seems imminent, I could store my radios in an insulated metal box in my basement that was well grounded and that might protect them. However, if everyone else's radios were fried, I wonder who would I communicate with? I would like to acquire some deep-cycle 12 volt batteries, an inverter and some solar panels. The batteries could be used to run the radios and could be charged with the solar panels. The inverter could be connected to the batteries to run small power tools like a drill motor or a saw. You always need to drill a hole or cut a board.

Books: The books in my library cover a number of subjects: Scriptures, Constitution, Herbal remedies, medicinal plants in the Southwest and Rocky Mountains, detailed repair manuals for all my cars, HAM radios, organic gardening. I want to acquire books on such things as building a forge, making steel and other kinds of basic skills that nobody know anymore.

Clothing: A few months ago I attended a "Winter Without Worries" class taught by Jim Phillips in St. George. He teaches you that the best material to make winter clothing out of is polyurethane foam covered with breathable fabric on both sides. I won't go into the details now but it really works. Jim has quite a large collection of actual military tests that show how the foam works much better than anything commerically available. We have made a couple of sleeping bags out of it and some long underwear for my wife. We have enough foam on hand to make clothing and sleeping bags for each member of our family.

Tents: I have acquired a 12 by 15 foot canvas wall tent with a rain fly and a canopy. It has two screened doors and two screened windows with storm flaps on all of them.


I still have many little things to pick up and I probably will never be fully prepared, however, the most important preparation is be in tune with the Holy Spirit. He will guide you in what preparations to make, whether large or small.

first to answer a few questions: The first earthqyake was in the late summer, The grass was yellowish, I do believe it was fall. In all I saw 4 very significant earthquakes,with alot of smaller ones in between. The first two were within 1-2 years of each other, I think.. as I have said these things were not always given in a particualr order, but as I've been shown them again and again, I've kind of figured it out. It was I believe the Delta center that collapsed on the north side. I did see the conference center in tact after the quake, with just some clean up. The SL temple had only minor dammage, In the Provo temple, I watched the flowers in the celsetial room fall and the vase broke, but the dammage was minimal, mostly clean up. That surprised me cause the rocks behind the temple in rock canyon were rolling everywhere. I also saw the Jordon river temple They quickly got the people out in an orderly fashion, they gathered outside on the lawn. Redwood road was surprisingly one of the safer places to be when things got rough, not as many gangs there. After this first quake I saw alot of the wasatch front evacuate southward to the valley by Manti.It was completely full of tents, both army tents and others, most were green with an odd color mixed in here and there, that valley was full of people... some even finding shelter in the turkey barns they have there. The Government provided alot of supplys at that time. The people there were able to have what they needed and it was a safe place. I saw a young man in the back of a pick up truck in Spanish Fork, He was talking to crowds of people, and convinced them to move southward to safety, alot followed him and went to Nephi.He had an old man helping him that was retired military, with grey hair, this man was good at organizing the people. The marshal law hadn't taken over fully, till the people were in the relocation camps and had the Mark of the beast. At one point I saw the President of the US sign a secret treastie with russia and china,I don't know if that has already happened or not. Two men stood behind the pres. dressed in black, they were representing these two nations. they mocked him and the US behind his back... but there was someone else behind them that was even darker. I knew at that point our country had been sold down the river. I also was told this was part of the plan for the new world order that the dark ones wanted. At the beginning of things I did see an economic down spiral... this has already started. I did see some people begin to rebuild after the first earthquake, but the second one came too soon after for things to really get back to normal. The second quake was enormous...10.0 in the desert, in Utah we felt it as a 9.3.. it started in the California-nevada desert areas. As I went back over my journals this was when the stacks on the south end of the Great salt lake fell and the big crack in the salt flats opened up I saw water spewing up in the middle of the Lake like a giser. Just a Note here, Just recently I was shown the cause of the first earthquake... I saw an explosion at the botton of the ocean between Austrailia and Hawaii, I watched the sand implode almost, being sucked into a large hole... this caused a chain reaction as a crack opened up following the fault along the ring of fire. I could see lava glowing in some of the cracks...this went right up into Alaska, then down into washington. I was told "this is what awakens Mt. Raineer.I watched as the inner areas of the ocean floor within the ring of fire all dropped. Then the plates began moving towards the center of the ocean. Ths effected alot of homes in Cal. on the coast. They started slipping, it also caused alot of Tidal waves... I think this event just happened... And I won't say what caused the initial explosion on the oceans floor, but I can say it was man made.

Rarely in the past have I been allowed to share these things, But I know now that time is running out, and people need to get prepared. I believe that is why I am being allowed to share at this time. I was recently given a firmer time line, and I know these things have begun. Note that I was told that the following could change a year or so in either direction, sooner or later. 1. Oct-Nov 2007 First E.Q. 8.6 watch for 3.0's along wasatch front, and good crops in previous year. 2. Nov 2008 Elect new president, economic collapse. 3. April -may 2009 second big E.Q./ fema comes and takes food. this is time to go into hiding. 4. 2009 1/2 Concentration camps, mark of beast..all must accept or become fugatives, Volcanos increase everywhere, marshal law permanent. 5. 2009 1/2 Russia, China invade from all borders. 6. 2011 third big quake,(don't know magnitude) Lots of people escape camps... 7. 2011 1/3 First nuke in Cal- Nev desert.Hits underground nuke, double explosion. leaves only islands from oregon down into arizona. 8. Burning Hailstones destoy almost everything. 9. 2012 massive asteroid hits pacific ocean.knocks off axis of earths rotation. polar caps melt. Massive flooding, U.S divided by mass of water from great lakes to gulf. major storms, winds,cold.

Utah becomes semi tropical.later, land masses move, world against israel. 4th quake happens...cant say rest....

All of this is conditional on the agency of man and his choices, as men change for good, things can be avoided. And time frames changed As mens choices increase in iniquity, I beleive these things could come Sooner and be even worse.

I've been praying constantly, this morning I was given so much more...Here it is: Per the biological attacks... there are 4 main ones... two are currently in place and spreading world wide 1. is tha Avian flu- sars epidemic, I belive these two are engineered and of the same make up. 2.mad cow, waisting disease. apperantly the tests that are being done are even causing this in remote areas, even in the wild. Our food chain is contaminated... even the vegies, with bio engineering. 3.flu to come, this one is the worst and we will see it comming a little at a time. This is engineered from technology from the hitler era. And is a derivative from the 1918 spanish flu. This thing will be like the black plague was in Europe. The current things they are doing to weaken our imunne systems arent working fast enough (look to the skys).In fact many people are developing a resistance.. so now we get flu vaccine to speed up the process. Thats why there was a shortage this year... everyone panicked and ran to get theirs. 4. This just looks like more flu but is deliberatly released in major cities. I feel it has begun and will increase gradually. The main lab involved in this is based in NYC or near there, and has other labs involved world wide. I heard the words "Allutech" when I saw these labs.

Next I was shown a new "nycean counsil" taking place, this was counsil of very dark men...an unlucky # of them determining what the new world religion would be.Then Ot was voted on inthe U.N. headquarters. There are so many power hungry dark factions world wide. Almost every major government , has a shadow government calling the shots.

Next I saw the oval Office, On the desk in front of the pres.was a white folder, it said UN on the front...He sighned it into law... then I saw that stupid natioinal id card in everyones right hand...I IS THE STEP RIGHT BEFORE THE MARK OF THE BEAST!!! The card in everyones hands then changed and it became the chip.Someones preivious post hit the nail on the head. This next part might get me in trouble, but here goes... Next I saw a counsil meeting of men within the predominant Utah religon, they were very concerned about this ID card!!! Then I saw the funeral of the current prophet. Many were mourning his loss. Next I saw a big problem... the chuch became split down the middle as people couldnt decide weather to get the mark or not... Those who did take the mark remained in monitary power in the church.. those who rejected the Mark, Retained the priesthood power, but were greatly persecuted. The government tried taking over the church... But the Lord kept His key players in their places, So the church wasnt destoyed. I feel this is what the scripture means that talks about the church being driven into the wilderness.

Next I saw the first EQ again... there was a massive crack inteh ground that was probably 100 feet across it ran through the center of SLC. Just about From the Hospital down into tailorsville... It had other smaller fissures spidering out from it. The south edge of the main crack dropped several feet and the soil slipped on that edge. I was shown that this is why so many structures along it collaped. The red brick Hosp. was on the south of the crack and its noth end collapsed as the ground gave was underneath. the same applied to the delta center. There was a really tall building near main and I think 3rd east. Almost as big as the church office building. It really went down... Also the Ch.o build just swayed really bad. On the freeway the west end of the spagetti bowl went down along sith several overpasses. The Great Salt Lake was Sloshing Everywhere. flooding the freeways etc... Lots of broken roads Fires burnign buildings and rubble. I saw a woman in a blue business suit rinning in the streets and dodge-ing the falling buildings. The quake Started with several smaller tremmors... few paid attention. When the big one hit it was going then stopped for for a few minutes. Then it really hit hard. Millions were displaced out of their homes. The quake was felt all the way back to missouri. The main states involved were Ut., Az.,Whyo., Nev., For some reason the south eastern end of the state wasn't hit as hard. The Pres. Declared a national emergency. in the western states. power and Communications were sporadic. The Gov sent in the Nat. Guard to help relocate people, with trucks and supplies. I saw a Long line of military vehicles along with other cars and trucks headed up Spanish fork canyon. Some went to sanpete, others to carbon county. The Gas stations had Long lines where they had power, and I saw someone shoot another person in the panic. The relocation camps were offered as shelters right from the start. But not as many went there at first. Martial law was declaired off and on durring this...We are actually under it now, at the airports etc...Fema was a big influence at this time. in relocating people etc...I saw bishops announcing to their congregations the need to open their homes and resourses to the homeless. There where alot of miracles at this time,as people helped one another. Lots of Supplies of food and tents were supplied to Sanpete and Carbon counties by the US government.The church asked for people to share what they had at this point, food storage etc.. the law of consecration. I was told that if I wanted to go to a city of light, this was the time to share what I had... The church was stock pilingthe food in these places. and they provioded a way to get it there. That was my ticket to a city of light. lateron there are few running cars, ond little gas so you would have to bring your years supply by horse and wagon if possible. Next I saw a new President.. He is someone very close to pres. Bush. Pres bush continued leading our govenment in this way... kind of like a back seat driver. Next I saw a massive hurricane off the south east coast It was bigger than anything that has ever hit there. it was devastating, then massive flooding in the mid west. The hole nation went to martial law, The pres called in U.N. forces to take over and keep the peace. WE had relitivly no governemt left except for the military and they kind of did things their own wayThe white fema trucks now came an took the food. In the Sanpete and carbon counties, at first it was voluntary then manditory . The military began to paln an attack on these little valleys to get the food that was there. but the Lord protected the people by closing up the mountains in the 2nd E.Q.

MP, I do know that the emp does go off. I think right before the 2nd E.Q.... I saw lines of cars on the freeway by Nephi, empty cars, tires missing and doors open. I also saw people grabbing their things and running on foot. Then I saw what I thought was Na palm. It looked like fire raining from the sky... the size of rain drops. It wasnt like the bigger hail fire that comes later. But I know alot of people died from it. I saw planes shooting it at the people in the streets as they ran away.Just have to say how importaint personal revelation will be durring these things.

Hi Lizzie, I would suggest that you go to the Lord and ask for the answer. If it has already concerned you, perhaps your spiritual red flags are going up to warn you. What I have been given is... that some of the things they are encouraging people to get..ie flu vaccine,is not making us sick, but weakening the immune system, so that when they hit us with the real bad bug, we wont be able to withstand its effects. Just a note here. My last two children aren't immunized...recently I've been told to go get it done. Now that the children are older they can handle the effects...but the real reason is this... soon our gov. will begin making note of those who have not complied...they will start taking peoples children away as a result, saying they are unfit parents...To me the risk of getting the shots is of far less of an importance than the other alternative. I guess its a matter of prayer for each individual.

I really worry about saying too much of the bio type things... It tends to grab the attention of the wrong people. Some of which are watching sites like this one. I can say following the Word of wisdom is key to building a strong immune system. A few nights ago I saw a report on the news about studies that have proven the flu vaccines have had little if no beneficial effects. The amount of people who got the flu was the same with the shot, as it was in those who did not recieve the shot. This was a report from the centers for disease control. I want to appologise also for my (atrocious) spelling and grammer. I think I spelled that wrong!

here's more of what I've been shown. I saw a young man standing in the back of a truck on a street in spanish fork. This young man wasn't a general authority but, truly had the spirit of prophecy, he told several groups of people to move south to saftey, they followed him and went to the Nephi valley...there they began to settle and they got along well. The people felt safe and began to get too comfortable The young man again warned them that trouble was comming and that they needed to leave and go further south. The officials in charge didn't like this independant group (probably of one to two thousand). They considered them to be discentors and fugatives. This group ignored the young prophet man and said they were happy there. That was when I saw airplanes attacking this group from the north east. The airplanes fired what looked like tiny firebursts at The people. I think it was napalm? next I saw a family in their truck ready to go but suddenly all the cars and vehicles where frozen,I feel this was when the EMP was used... the freeway was later filled with vehicles all lined up, tires had been stolen by luters the cars where stripped and doors left open..When the attack came I saw people quickly grab what they could and just start running on foot. Some southward others on foot up throught the Nephi canyon, up towards the sanpete valley. The first E.Q.had ruined the road in the canyon and large bolders and rocks had blocked most of the normal route. I saw the people running on foot being persued by the military up this canyon. It was then that the Lords hand was upon mount Nebo...As if he were molding it with His own hand the mountain closed up right behind the righteous group of people who were trying to escape.. It reminded me of the children of Israel going through the red sea on dry ground. With the egyptian army in hot persuit. I also saw the thistle canyon close up as well. But there I saw alot of water, that also blocked the way closing the sanpete valley in. I never did see what happened on the south end of that valley but I know it was protected for a long time. Next I saw that the military was really mad at the people in the Sanpete valley Those people had food and supplies that the military had helped bring in with the first E.Q. evacuation. Now the military wanted what was left. Fema had already come around with the white trucks and taken almost everything they could. I was told that this was the time to flee into the mountains for safety...at the first site of those white fema trucks.Now the military set up camp in the Nephi valley. Just below the mountain that had closed up. They were planning an attack on the poor righteous people of little Sanpete. I did see some military men refuse to do this, they were righteous priesthood holders, being ordered to kill the innocent. I saw several of these good military men executed at point blank range. Next I saw a great big E.Q. swallow up the tanks airplanes...and all the military equipment that was stationed in nephi.It was so Dark,the sky looked black with storm clouds. When it was all over there wasn't much of Nephi Left. Back in Sanpete valley people did ok for a while, they worked together to survive. I did see a mass grave there in that valley after the first E.Q. Because So many had come wounded and dying, they died once they arrived there. Sanpete wasn't prepared to handle all of the medical and shelter needs. Next I saw my family hidden in the mountains. I looked down at the valley, and saw a chinese soldier. I then saw that they had come from the california coast, at first the chinese then russian troops... they came from all the borders. I then saw a Large fireball in the say comming from the east. I saw a chinese soldier Look up at it then he had a look of betrayal on his face. I think it came from his own country. I was then shown a place in the middle of the California Nevada desert. It was a small fenced in area with a chain link fence about 50' x 50'. there were posted warnings and red signs, it was a government facility, but there wasn't anything above ground except the fence. I then asked what the yellow fire ball in the sky was...i was told it was nuclear. It hit in the middle of that fenced in area...where there was another nuke underground.. Both went off...I was then pulled away from the picture as if i was looking at the U.S. from a distance. Everything went completly black then bright red...Then I saw the Saltlake valley it was red soooo red No houses. just stubbs of trees and people huddling by little fires to survive.The temple was still standing.Then I saw the western coastline. All the way from Oregon down through Arizona the entire coastline was gone leaving only little islands dotting the area. teh ocean actually touched the tip of southwestern Utah. I'll share more later...

Mary Lou, I did see a massive super volcano, where mt. raineer is now. I was told It would be the biggest in the U.S. I also saw a large volcano just above the bear lake area in southern Idaho. As to your question of safe places. Near the top of Idaho and in the lower Part of Montana I saw a group that was self sustaining these people did well for a long time, though I do believe at one point they all migrated eastward. This group was situated somewhat between the two volcanos but a bit to the north.

I was wondering if you are talking about two different groups or if this is one area? My wife's family lives near there and when I read this I read the "top of Idaho" as meaning the northern part of the panhandle near Coeur D'Alene Area. But I read the "lower part of Montana" as closer to Butte and the lower part of Idaho. If you can clarify that would be great.

It was mainly one group of people that I saw in that area. In the northern portion of Idaho ....southern portion montanna. Often what I have seen is somewhat vague as to towns or areas, just general. Like if I was looking at a map of the U.S.A. It was an area near the Idaho panhndle up to the north and a little to the right of the panhandle. so it was just one area I saw...but that does not mean that there are not lots of other safe areas. I did see other areas of the U.S. as well one by Cortez New Mexico, a few in Colorado one in the Arizona desert south west of Page area (a long way from page). There were also several small places as well.

Here's more of what I've seen. When Fema was comming around to take the food, at first it was on a volontary basis then it became manditory. I was told to LEAVE AT THE FIRST SITE OF THESE WHITE TRUCKS!!! We went into the mountains.I also saw enormous warehouses filled with the food they had taken forcefully from the peole and then stockpiled. Then I saw the starving people in the death camps. The food in the warehouses remained there...and was not used for the starving people. I did see that many people escaped from the internment camps durring one of the Earthquakes, I think it was the Same E.Q. that reshaped the mountains and also helped the people form Nephi escape. When the Nucelear bomb came from the east It was completely unexpected by everyone. When it hit the other U.S. Nuke that was still in the ground they both went off at the same time. I saw a major shock wave and cloud over California as everything went black and then red....This one event changed everything...I saw massive tidal waves and enormous changes to the region. I saw very little left standing almost all of california was gone. Just little islands left. Soon after the bombs went off I saw massive hail falling on everything across the U.S. the hail was on fire. Some the size of a grain of rice...up to the size of a car or small house. I saw these hitting everything that was left It burned up the fields and destoyed most structures that were left standing...to me this was the worst of all the previous events, because it effected everyone and destroyed more. At this point most everything was desolate.All the trees burned, even in the mountains. I also saw alot of volcanic activity all across what was left of the U.S.A. In other parts of the world things were very much in the same kind of turmoil. WE had to learn how to survive from the native americans...People tried to grow food but it was very hard...very little was left. To the impoverished countrys nothing had changed they got along just as they always have, then they showed the rest of the world how to survive.I did see the entire world at war.Everything was in turmoil. Next I saw an enormous yellow ball of fire in the sky I was told this was a small planet or asteroid, It hit out beyond California in the pacific ocean. I was shown the year 2012. This along with the previous nuclear attack was too much for the earth to sustain all in the same general region. The earths rotation was nocked off its axis. I then saw massive flooding as the polar caps melted. I was again pulled back from the view and I saw the entire U.S. It looked like two small continents. The west coast was just little islands all the wasy from Oregon down to Baha California. Alot of texas was under water...as was a great portion of canida... the Entire area from the great lakes down to the gulf of mexico was all under water, the area effected was as wide as the great lakes combined. The east coast was also mostly islands and was almost all gone as well, though I wasn't shown what caused it. Many if the islands world wide were underwater at this point.

I did see the St. George area safe for a time.. but later on that tip of the state was effectivley gone from the nukes. The nukes just took out the s.w. corner of utah, I did not see if St. george was left or not.

all I really saw in that area was the volcano I've spoken of.. But I did see some places of refuge farther east into Wyoming.

I wasn't given a time frame (BC: She was referring to a question as to how long it would take for the events to unfold. And yet, she provided possible dates in another post. Go figure.) ...I only saw the events leading up to... Mark 13:32-33 32.But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

I do believe there will be a refuge by the dream mine-salem area. One thing I perhaps should explain is that there will be different phases of places of refuge. First phase...would be the places people evacuate to right after the initial E.Q.'s i.e. tent cities. Second phase would be a place to settle into for a while... more organized area of mini cities, people pulling their resourses in a community of cooprative living. Third phase would be the mountains, caves,hiding in the rocks and crevices, this could also include a place you have prepared for nuclear attack...when you baracade down to live off of your resourses going into hiding for protection. Fourth phase is whatI believe will be those places protected by God...cities of light places that people hear about and begin migrating to for protection. In these places people will have to live by the laws of God... consecration etc....I believe people will have to prove their goodness before they will be allowed in.

One thing everyone needs to know is that even if you have heirloom seeds you need to have the knowlege of how to harvest the seed for the next year.. some plants like carrots are biannual and you have to let the carrots sit in the ground a year before the seeds can be harvested.. Other seeds like for apple trees, need a hardening time with the cold to work... basic understanding of this will be essential

I have seen an attempt on the presidents life...I also saw one that failed...These were seperate... I do know that there is a new president in office when everything falls apart. This new president seemed to be a puppet.And really panicked at the natural disasters that happened. He also seemed akward at decision making. I saw that he was a good friend of Bush, then I saw bush standing behind him...still running things...it may be figurative of the Bush family still having pull in the white house...even if it isn't actually George W. in charge. I did see the government in almost total ruin. The military seemed to be in control at first...then fema...then the un...Then the invasion of china, russia. At that point it was all down hill..nukes, gangs,things just got to a point of survival...many having pockets of government,in their own little areas. Just because I didnt see it doesn't mean its not valid...I trust brother wolfgramm's blessing as truth...especially with the priesthood he had.

Hi Doc...I believe it was the second earthquake that takes out the two dams...The second E.Q. was soooooo bad I saw alot of water with it. It also seemed to be the cause of alot of future volcanic activity starting.I saw the old Hot Pots becomming active at the old homestead hotel by Heber.The volcanos that come later across the U.S. are enormous...Mt raineer,is one of the worst, I also saw a great big one up in Idaho above the bear lake area. One thing that I was told as I saw the volcano's.. was that if you can find a mildly active one to live by, It could be a blessing to you. It would keep the military...and gangs etc...away.

MP This is very important...I saw thousands of orphaned children...huddling by fires to keep warm. I have friends who are gathering as many childrens clothes, shoes coats etc...as they can, even though their children are grown. It will be essential to teach your children how to be safe in the wild,from all types of predators, even human ones. I saw my own son going out to forage for food...this was while we were still in our homes. They will also need to understand the power of prayer and the ministering of angels. Even how to use their own spiritual gifts. Don't discourage your children when they come to you about something they have felt...the Lord is preparing them too. Thanks MP this is really important.

The next thing I saw was the return of the city of Enoch...It was very brief I just saw the general area and a great mass with a city return to the area of the new jerusalem. I then saw people begin migrating tward that area from all over the U.S. I did see tribes from south America comming as well as people from the north... The ones from the north were,I believe the lost tribes. There were not alot of people at this point, I did see small groups comming from the west and stopping at little weigh stations along the way these little stations were like little areas of light, where the people could get provisions and rest along the way as they traveled east. The next part that I was shown I ave rarely been able to share, but with only a handfull. I have prayed alot about it and the spirit is testifying that I need to share it... Please know this is very sacred to me....I was taken to the Land of Israel... there in Jerusalem I saw the jews building a temple on the area where the dome of the rock now stands. It was made of a yellowish type of stone and reminded me of the style of solomons temple. I then saw another temple there it was right by (I think to the south of ) the Jerusalem center built by the LDS church. This temple was made of grey stone and I think it was where the orson Hyde garden now is. Next I saw a council of men gathered they were very evil, The anti christ stood at the head of the table, he wore military clothes that were tan, he had dark hair and a somewhat stalky build...I will probably share more about him later... the group he was talking to represented nations from all over the world. they were planning an attack on Jerusalem. I saw them gather their forces and weaponry in a valley just below the the mount of Olives. I have been told it was the kidron valley. I then saw life within the city of Jerusalem the people had already been under attack, and small portions had held their ground and were protected by what looked like domes of clear light over them. I then saw a stone arched gateway into the city it was riddled with bullet holes, a road ran along in front of it and if you were standing by this gate you could see out over the kidron valley, to me it looked as if I was looking out over the south west toward the desert. The mount of olives was to my south I think. I have never been there physically so I can only express what I was shown. Next I saw two Young men walk out from the inner part of this gate... they where prophets, and their presence had been the Lords way of protecting the city. The people in the city were frightened but remained there. I watched these two young men face the forces of the world alone, but with the Lords power at their command. As the forces of evil began their attack, I saw these two call down the powers of heaven in defence of the city. First I saw them speak and cause great earthquakes then a large dust storm gathered over the forces of darkness. The storms blocked the militarys foces from advancing. Then I saw these evil forces plotting again. As the two prophets called down all the ancient plagues of Israel upon these evil forces, much as was done in Moses day.these two prophets cast forth judgements in righteous priesthood authority, This because they were especial witnesses of the Lord with special priesthood power and keys. Next I was the dark forces am a missle at thes two... One of the prophets raised his hand and diverted the missles. They could not be hurt. I then saw a clear dome of protection over the whole city. I again saw all the nations meet with their evil leader, who was being directed expressly by the adversary himself. these dark forces gathered together everything they could at his point in one grand push agaist these two small men and Jerusalem. It was odd to see the whole world attacking two young men.this time they succeded I feel prompted not to say how... but these evil forces killed these two. I saw them laying in the streets among broken stones and rubble. The world rejoyced at this. The evil ones then began to take over the city as little pockts of resistance held out ... no one touched the bodiesof the two prophets...I was shown it was because they were still terrified of the power these two held...so they just left them there. The area was blocked off by those in charge, and to go near the bodies was forbidden..The people would not touch them...for Gods promise was opon them. The eveil forces now had their guard down and waisted the time they had left. 3 1/2 days later I saw the bodies of the two prophets begin to stir...then everything was completly silent....then I was an enormous earthquake It was the greatest yet.Then everything was dark....and quiet... then there was a bright light in the sky....It was the Lord.... I saw the two prophets completly restored raise up inthe sky then the sky opened up just like a scroll, it split down the center and was peeled back...I could see a myriad of the host of heaven the lord was at the front in the center. The two prophets then took their place on both sides of the Lord. There were an unnumerable amount of beings with the Savior, all singing His praises.The Lord is wearing red...deep purplish red like the color of blood....HIS LIGHT IS SOOOOO BRIGHT IT FILLS EVERYTHING...HE COMES IN ALL HIS GLORY. Now the people can't deny His glory any longer...The lord commands and all obey. I heard Him command for all to repent.. it was a great voice of thunder...it shook the entire earth...all people world wide know He is here.That is when I saw every living soul kneel...many whimpered and cried, they knew they were doomed...others rejoyced with their arms and eyes held high towards their Lord..Then I saw the Lords arm extended Those who were righteous were called up and met him in the cloud of beings, they then stood behind Him.The Lord then extended his left arm and mad a sweeping motion with it over those who were left on the earth... He protected those in the sky behind Him. I watched as all of the forces of destruction were then brought upon the evil ones.The Lord commanded theEarth also and it obeyed...the land masses now moved and everything was restored to its former place.. I must tell all who read this I do not know the time or the hour... but I DO KNOW HE IS COMMING IN ALL HIS GLORY... HE WILL RETURN.. BUT BEFORE HE DOES THIS EARTH WILL BE CLEANSED AND EVERYTHING UPON IT... HE IS THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF THE FATHER...IT IS ONLY BY HIM AND THROUGH HIM THAT WE ARE REDEEMED. i WANT ALL OF YOU TO KNOW THAT i LOVE HIM BEYOND ALL EXPRESSION...i KNOW WE MUST PREPARE NOW... HE ATONED FOR ALL OF US IF WE WILL JUST ACCEPT HIS GREAT LOVE!!!

Bill, I have also read that Wilford Woodruff had a similar vision written in his journal, not that it was him that had the vision, but that someone had sent it to him and he copied it into his journal. It talks about the state of missouri being swept so clean that there would not even be a yellow dog to wag its tail. My mother in law is trying to convince my family to move to the Kansas City area, but I think I'll wait to go to "Zion" when the exodus comes!

I saw the water levels..world wide raise, it was toward the latter end of things... but unless hawaii has some really high mountains I'd be a bit hesitant...Just go to the lord with it.Alot of people will need to be in different places so they can warn others or help out others. Too often we get our own idea of what would be best when the Lord is the best judge of where to lead us I think we need to be willing to go where the Lord needs us most.
