I keep having this thought as to why we have been counseled to have our own temple clothing and it is this:
One day, we may not be able to buy it or have sufficient quantities that people can rent it repeatedly or have the power in the temples to launder it on the scale they have to (not handwashing), so it will be necessary to have our own. It also may be that the Brethren are aware that supply chains will be disrupted completely and that even the making of white cloth or manufacturing in general will be still as an earlier prophet once stated - and what Spencer/Menet/Wolfgramm all said is coming. Other than smaller temples possibly not having rental areas, this is the only logical reason I can come up with for that particular counsel.Just some random thoughts. I would encourage those who read this blog to get the temple clothing in order. That might also include a 2-7 year supply of garments for you/your spouse.
And yes, Russ C. (if you are trolling today), the bishop has not pulled my TR yet for reading Visions of Glory.... :) Not that it is any business/stewardship of yours more than its any business of mine as to the mission status of children, etc. The Prophets HAVE said: "Every young man a missionary", while still remaining silent as a body on the status of Spencer (and his recommend, while yanking the recommend of someone like Denver Snuffer (go Hawks - and Snuff Denver!!)) and not openly speaking ill of his book. Maybe, just maybe, Spencer is pulling some strings and using his inside track to keep himself out of trouble with the Brethren. My guess is, he probably ran it past the one or two people he knows there and got the wink and the nod for releasing the info he did. Sarah Menet has not been ex'd, nor was Iohanni Wolfgramm. In fact, Iohanni had a personal audience with SWK in which Pres. Kimball said he would have a personal audience with the Savior three days later (and he did and then wrote a book about it which I also have). All three of these characters were spot on in agreement as to what is coming - all release books (just as Denver did) - and none have been ex'd. Go figure...... Sounds like the Brethren have NO beef with them - including Spencer.
I don't have any issues with Spencer or Iohanni or Sarah but I do take issue with Bishop John Koyle. I think he was more than a few bricks short of a full load. Oh yah he was X'd as well.
ReplyDeleteThey are not going to find anything in that mine except for more dirt... If you will allow me to be a false prophet :-)

You know who was also was excommunicated? Witnesses to the golden plates and apostles.
ReplyDeleteMany true followers of Christ will excommunicated in our day.
ReplyDeleteThose that followed Jesus in the meridian of time had to leave their religion to follow him. It will be the same in our day.
